Über 200 Bäume und Sträucher Mitteleuropas werden wissenschaftlich ausführlich beschrieben (redigierte Wikipediatexte) und bebildert, wobei nicht nur die botanischen Eigenschaften, sondern auch die Bedeutung der Pflanzen in der Kultur und im Alltag der Menschen, sei es in der Medizin oder im Brauchtum, zur Sprache kommen. Die App funktioniert auch offline und erlaubt es entweder jeder Pflanze direkt eigene Beobachtungen in Wort, Bild und Video hinzuzufügen oder sich ein eigenes „Baumtagebuch“ anzulegen. Die Pflanzen sind nach ihrer botanischen Systematik gegliedert. Die Suche nach einem bestimmten Baum oder Strauch kann über die Pflanzenfamilie oder die gebräuchlichsten deutschen oder lateinischen Namen erfolgen. Zur Bestimmung von Bäumen und Sträuchern stehen verschiedenste botanische Bestimmungsmerkmale zur Verfügung (Visuelle Eigenschaften von Blättern, Blüten, Borken und Wuchsform). Weiterführende Links eröffnen eine vertiefte Auseinandersetzung mit allen Aspekten dieser Kulturpflanzen. Die Texte sind direkt mit den (wenn vorhandenen) Wikipedia-Texten in 11 weiteren Sprachen verlinkt (E, F, I, Sp, Ndl, Ru, Arab, Chi, Jap, Kor, Hin). About 200 trees and bushes of Central Europe are scientifically described in detail (edited Wikipedia texts) and imaged using not only the botanical characteristics, but also the importance of plants in culture and in people's daily lives, whether in medicine or in customs, language come. The app also works offline, allowing each plant either directly own observations in words, pictures and video add or to create a separate "Tree Diary". The plants are arranged according to their botanical systematics. The search for a particular tree or shrub can be done about the plant family or the most common German or Latin name. For the determination of trees and shrubs are various botanical identification features available (Visual properties of leaves, flowers, bark and growth habit). LINKS open an in-depth examination of all aspects of these crops.
