Description
Azan mp3 Fajr is a collection of Islamic call to prayer which is a call to prayer in the Muslim world.
The call to prayer (adhan) is delivered five times a day with muadhan to remind Muslims to come to obligatory prayers and leave worldly matters.
How is the call to prayer done?
People who do the call to prayer are called muadhan, in Arabic.
During the call to prayer, Muslims must stop and listen. The word adhan itself means "to listen".
This is what is said in the call to prayer; the first phrase is pronounced four times and the remainder twice.
Allahu Akbar - God is Great
Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah - I testify that there is no god but the One God.
Ashadu anna Muhammadan Rasool Allah - I testify that Muhammad is the messenger of God
Hayya 'ala-s-Salah - Hurry up for prayer (Rise up for prayer)
Hayya 'ala-l-Falah - Quick success (Rise to Salvation)
Assalatu khairum-minan-naum - Prayer is better than sleep (This part is only spoken for dawn prayers.)
Allahu Akbar - God is Great
La ilaha illa Allah - There is no god but one God
There is one difference to the call to prayer between Shia Muslims and Sunni Muslims.
Shia Muslims also add, optionally:
Ashhadu ena Aliun Wali Allah - I testify that Ali is the representative of Allah.
Other sections of the Shia Muslims added are:
Ḥayya ʿala khayr al ʿamal - The time for best deeds has come.
There is an institution for muadhans that dates back to the time of the Prophet Muhammad.
Muadhan is usually chosen based on good character and / or the translation of the adhan in motion. The famous adhan can be heard online.
It is traditionally performed from the minarets of mosques, and some muadhans face the Kaaba in Mecca - the holiest site in Islam - when making a call. The others face the four compass directions in turn.
