• Securely stores your passwords, credit card information, e-banking credentials, web accounts and other custom data.
• There is a built in Editor for changing or creating new data Categories with custom icons.
• Search within fields.
• Contains no advertisements.
• Supports backup and restore of the encrypted data file to the Android USB device.
• Export of unencrypted data in CSV format to the USB device.
• There is an Auto lock feature that can be preconfigured for a specific period of time.

PRO FEATURES, available via single In-app billing payment:
• Unlock with fingerprint (on a compatible device with Android 6)
• Password Generator
• CSV Import

SECURITY FEATURES
• All data is encrypted, including Entry names, Category definitions and the data itself. Even the choice of Favorite Category is encrypted.
• Encrypts data using AES and Blowfish algorithms with key sizes of 256, 192 and 128 bits. And also supports Triple DES with key sizes of 168 and 112 bits.
• When the data file is decrypted, up to all combinations of algorithm, key size and cipher mode of operation (CBC, CFB, OFB and ECB) are tried with the Master password to unlock the data file. This was inspired by TrueCrypt and makes brute force attacks longer. The app itself does not store any hint to the actual cipher, key size or cipher mode of operation.
• Uses a randomly generated 'salt' combined with the Master password. Salt helps to protect from off-line dictionary attacks.
• The key to open the data file is created by combining your master password with the 512-bit 'salt'. The result is hashed 1000 times by SHA-256. Repetitive hashing makes a brute force attack more difficult.
• Supports auto destruction of the data file after a predefined number of unsuccessful unlocks have been tried.
• Unlike other similar Android apps aWallet has no internet access permission (forever). The only permissions this app has is to access to the USB device to backup/restore the data file in case you lose your phone. USB device access is also needed to export to CSV file format. Permission is also granted to the Google Play billing service to allow for the optional purchase of the aWallet Pro features.

if you don't remember the password to this, there is no option to recover it. there's no option to reset it. Kind of crazy because the reason for an app like this is because you have trouble remembering passwords and there is no recovery I am completely locked out and I no longer have access to important information all because I added a new fingerprint to my phone

  2. Mandie Dunning-avatar

Great app, was working perfectly until I added a new fingerprint to my Samsung phone and it wiped the fingerprint recognition for this app. It now needs the master password to get in which I can't remember. It didn't back up so I've lost everything!

Used this for years and was 5* - now my passwords are still in the app but I can't back them up or export them as .CSV I cannot access the folder with USB cable ( before you ask) as I do not have a computer. Maybe the upgrade to Android 11 is to blame but a fix is needed urgently. If it is Google's fault then I still need to back up my passwords regularly and I need to trust a password manager.

I have used this app for several years now, it has performed perfectly. It is comforting to know that I can keep all my personal information with me, at all times, and that it is secure. I am not a big user of apps on my phone, but this is one of the few apps that I paid for and have never regretted it.

Data transfer doesn't really work so have to re-enter passwords manually into new phone. There should be a more seamless way to transfer data. If I hadn't already paid for this app I'd use a different one.

Pretty easy to use and backup. It hasn't failed yet. The only change I'd make is for website entries to have a new "free form" field as the field seen in the entries list because the Web Site field is sometimes not obvious what Web site it is. Otherwise it's an excellent app.

The app is easy to use. There are different categories that makes it easier to keep different passwords together. For example, Email accounts, online shopping, credit cards.

  8. Melissa Tamez-avatar

This app works great. The only problem we had was when his phone crashed. We lost all the information. We didn't transfer to cloud wallet. Would that have saved his contacts?

  9. Neville Norman-avatar

Without this app I would be lost and locked out of many applications where a password is required. I have them all stored in one secure location in appropriate labels knowing that the inbuilt security will prevent them from being accessed should I lose my phone or someone pick up my phone to snoop!

The app is OK but when you add a new category, it won't export that skeleton of the category. I tried adding new categories from excel but was not able to import it. I am trying to migrate data from my old password App. It's been slow going because of this.
