Description
This is an application for parents whose kids are suffering from Autism. This application enables the parents to help the kid with their day to day needs of doing basic tasks like taking a shower, drinking water, recognizing objects and follow basic instructions for tasks. The application has audio and video options to help the kids better. We used scientifically proven diagrams that helped in the development of in cognitive skills for an autistic child.
Features include:
Visual Contact - The application displays basic day to day items that help the kids recognize basic objects.
Stay in place -Since we are using technology, which is our constant medium of interaction with the kids, this helps the kid to learn in a more dynamic way as compared to interaction with humans which are unpredictable.
Imitation -It is a feature of the application which acts as a tool to enable the kid to learn how basic day to day tasks should be performed by leveraging the scientifically proven images
Follow instructions - This feature allows the kid to follow guided steps to various activities such as brushing their teeth, taking a shower or eating food.
Express intentions -The following feature is a communication tool that helps the
kid to express all his ideas and thoughts to the parent in order to connect with them closely. The tool has a wide spectrum of emotions as well as communication symbols. The tool also lets you save the interactions that are to be used on daily basis. This makes connecting with the kid easier
Helps options - Feature educates parents what is normal and what is not about autistic kids, what a parent should know about autism.
