Plz read thz message google plzzz it's soooooooooo easy to crack these things.... Bcz thr is a door way on google to make everything easy... Plz plz zzz put make us to create our own security questions and answers... It's old school but still works perfectly... A person who cares abut his security ll never say to any his full screats so no1 can go through

The barcode scanner is not working. I've tried over 5 different bar codes on different screens and none of them will scan. This issue makes me not want to add more services to use it since I then have to manually type in the long code. Also codes don't transfer if you get a new phone

? Empty? Seems like it should start out, at minimum, with the account info in it from the account that was used to install it from the play store. Could maybe start with verifying that and offering to make sure 2-factor Auth is enabled for that account? So now do I add this Google account (again?) ? Or is it somehow in there already? Currently it's nothing but 2 empty fields. Does it know me? What next? Maybe I'll just love it and hug it and call it "George".

i installed this app so it can keep all my accounts safe and don't have any unauthorized access it worked great for me but it has back fired on me, I lost my phone and when i got a new one i installed this app back but its not showing me any code or anything for the apps i have 2-step authenticator enabled on and that uses Google Authenticator, so its like im locked outta my accounts! if i knew this was gonna happen i would have never installed this app in the first place and went with another 😩

Awesome app for that extra security. Just remember to store the activation code for each site in a safe place just incase you loose your phone. -Can you add folders because I think everyone is going to eventually use it for everything they have a password for and scrolling through them all isn't easy

I wish there was a way to use it without hiring someone to explain it to me. I get asked for some code suddenly, so I went and installed Auth app onto my other phone, which means I need to delete messaging app to make room for it. Then it wants some barcode that no one seems to have any idea how to get to. I was told to go my Google account security settings to find it. Nope not there. Then it asks if I recieved the code and offers to send it as a text. So I removed the Auth app and reinstalled messaging. Received code, but was told I took too long to enter it, had them resend it, entered it and was asked immediately for a code from my auth app! No longer have interest in Amazon tonight. I'll get a good nights sleep and start again in the morning.

Works fine. But, the killer is that there's NO WAY to back up the database of your 2FA sites. IOW, when you change phones (or reset it to defaults), all those sites you've activated 2FA on using Google Authenticator have to be re-authenticated. If a site doesn't have a backup method (or if you haven't activated a backup method), you're SOL. Regardless, it takes a lot of time to re-activate those sites. If you're using this for only a few sites, you're probably fine. But, for me, it takes HOURS. There MUST be a way to back up this data. Maybe from within Authenticator, itself, tell it to export to a heavily encrypted file stored on Google Drive. I don't know. But, it's got to have that capability.

i changed my phone to a pixel 3 from the pixel and i lost all my 2FA setups.im have a nighhtmare of a timw trying to get into my accounts now. tjis is clearly a massive issue. gogole sjoild move quickly to fix this- tje 2FA setups should be tied to your google account so that when you move to a new andriod you simplw have to sign in to google account to retrive them.

Total garbage. Not only it gives me incorrect codes for logging into my accounts but I also got locked out and spent endless hours to restore access. Two factor authentication sounds like a great idea - if only you wouldn't rely on an unreliable third party app from an untrusted sneaky company like Google.

Very good app, a lot of programs and sites support this as their two step verification which is super nice. But I wish it saved your accounts. My phone broke and I had to reenable the app on my other phone, but everything I logged in with other apps etc. we're all gone... Now most of the apps and sites got me inside with some support and got me to reenable it. But I also lost 3 accounts since I can't get the codes anymore.

Excellent app!! Easy, simple, and gets the job done! An autofill feature would be great for specific apps you allow permissions to. Copying and pasting can sometimes be difficult and time may run out requiring to wait for the next token. But I'd rather be SAFE than sorry! 😁

I am extremely dissatisfied with this product. My phone had to be replaced by Google Fi and none of codes transfered over. The ap just reinstalls without getting any of your data from your old device. I must now manually add all my authentications in... supper annoying. There had to be a better way to transfer my data.

This works great for what it does support (Facebook, DropBox, Linux ssh, Google WordPress), I wish more organizations would adopt it. A bit ironic that what services are supported this app affords more security than most online banking. I would agree with what others say, perhaps allowing other devices for backup (as opposed to securely maintaining codes for each service), would be handy. The biggest pro is this is very easy to use. I find two-factor SMS very obnoxious and could never really fully adopted for services I use daily; this I can. Update: Backup is now an option. It looks like it may be possible to do multiple devices, but I haven't tried that.

It's so secure that I can't even recover my two factor authentication settings after hard resetting or losing/change phone. Some accounts are really hard or impossible to reset, so I'm not convinced of the real benefits of this app. Actually I've been through some issues because of that and I'm trying to avoid using the app again...

Great and smart app. I workd perfectly once u set it up well nojist installing it. Those who go about giving negative feedback shd kindly first learn how to use the apps before coming up to write reviews. Or they shd stop getting peanuts from the competition for negative reviews and be genuine. Mtchewww

It's ok if you decide to only have 1 phone for the rest of your life, cause once you get a new one and redownload the app it wont work for all your accounts. Google also wont answer me back on this damn problem for the past 4 months.

Trash app. I restored my phone and can't even back up the accounts. Heads up for people downloading this. Write down your code for the accounts so this doesn't happen to you. Trash app all the way. I used this on binance and I'm locked out my account till they get back to me. I'm watching money go by and its so frustrating

I hate this app. Every time I have to reinstall the app on my phone it takes FOREVER to figure out how to do it. It gives me the option to scan a bar code or enter a provided key, but never tells me where to find this bar code or the key. I hate it so much. And the help function is not helpful at all. I really wish I didn't need this app.

Great app, simple and always works. One big downfall is that there's no way to have it running on two devices, or to at least transfer it to another handset. If you lose your phone, and you haven't got any backup codes- your totally screwed. Other Authenticators (LastPass Authenticator and Authy) have got a secure backup/ sync feature.

Reset 2-Factor Authentication I have thoroughly enjoyed this app since installation. The problem now however is I'm unable to "Reset 2-Factor Authentication as directed".Account was restricted due to "Profile locked due too many failed attempts".That happened in the first instance because the app refused to open beyond the first page. Please look into this.Thanks.
