Audio Speed Changer allows you to modify the playback speed of your audio files "on the fly" (realtime), without changing their audible characteristics. It can be used to help transcribing audio, to save time listening to audiobooks/podcasts, to practice dance steps or just to have fun! How it works: Choose a file, all songs from a folder or a whole album from your personal collection, limit the time frame you want to listen to, set the percentage of speed change you want to apply and just press play! I use Audacity to do this sort of thing on my PC; nice to have something portable like this! Main issue I have is getting ahold of the left region selector... the bottom one is no problem at all, but that one at the top of the screen is nearly impossible to manage. Possibly a dead spot on my Nook Color's screen? I'd purchase the payed version if I could handle the app with more ease.

I have looked for an app for a long time to do what my guitar trainer did. This not only exceeds that but it is so easy to use. These things are always a little dicy with a learning curve. Not this app. It slows the song down to a snails crawl, making it easy for even myself to learn hard guitar passages. This is an A+ all the way around. Open it, point it to the song folder and load the song. Select the start and stop points with a click, select the speed (all with a single click control) and your ready to learn.

I have the paid for pro version. It was awesome, enabling me to transcribe any guitar parts with ease. It was my workhorse and by far the best app. Now it must have been updated because it crashes every time I try to open (Galaxy Note 2). Pleeeeeeease fix it!

Used to work in my Samsung galaxy pop. Now whenever I install it in some newer phones it flashes and then crashes. It's certain that the developer team no longer exists or they are least bothered to fix the bugs. It was the best of the lot, speed could be changed in decimals, say 99.5%, 102.5% etc. No other speed changer has this unique feature I think. Now its no more. Sigh!!! RIP!!!

This is a great app, used to use it all the time. Been using it with my Samsung Galaxy S4 since November with no problems. But since yesterday, every time I try to open the app, it immediately closes. Can't do anything. I tried clearing the data, also uninstall + re-install, restarting my phone, and still nothing. Please fix it. :(

It's all you could want for this type of application. It's great that you can go into folders and music libraries, play any MP3, slow the speed for transcribing purposes, move the position to replay any part, get A-B segments repeated, and so forth. Most of all, it works perfectly. Aside from all of the above, when you slow the speed down the voice still sounds the same. I tried the free version and bought the Pro version almost immediately, as soon as I realized how good this application is.

The software author or the Play Store should make the pro version available to those who purchased or provide a refund. I purchased the Pro Version for my S3 and ran flawlessly on 4.4.2. The USB port was damaged so I upgraded to an S5. Then found out Pro version is no longer available. This version hardly runs with limited features. Solution: salvage Pro apk from old S3. The software was protected, so I rooted the S3 and was able to create a backup apk file. Installed on my S5 and am back in business.

Use to be great when I had my Evo and this phone but since Samsung S4 update it flashes and doesn't even open to get to main menu to report. Loved it then now I don't, Wish it worked. Still crashes uninstalled :(

I am very impressed with this app. It absolutely delivers. Slow metal/thrash guitar tracks down by up to fifty percent without affecting pitch to help you nail your playing alongside them. Gradually bring them up to speed. My guitar playing has gotten so much better with the help of this app. Will buy the pro version.

I echo the other reviews here. I paid for the PRO version of the app, but I cannot use this app at all now. I just upgraded to Nexus 5 from my S3 and the app just keeps crashing. On top of it, the PRO version is no longer available and the developer's website is non-functional. This is UNACCEPTABLE for a paid app!
