AsciiCam generates ASCII images in real time from whatever your camera is pointing at. Choose from black and white, primary colors, or full colors, take pictures, and share them as images or HTML. It's alright, but not true ASCII art. The photos in the description are as promised, so if you like those, then go for it. The icon with the lines is not realistic, so if you like those, then leave this app aside.

pretty good i like that you can edit the characters used and that it saves the picture in a text file, all it needs is some more features like custom colours, ability to change the size of the characters ans ability to record video

wow, that's pretty awesome. i wish there was an easy way to export the text of the image but still i can work around it. very impressed with this app.

Sharing text doesn't work, receiving apps don't get any data and if you just copy the text to the clipboard apps will crash on paste with permission denied errors.
