Take ages to loads at times, not load so they wouldn't let me on the bus. I paid for a month but ended buying extra tickets as I did not want to miss the bus to work. The live bus tracker is slow and sometimes doesn't work, the bus has been and gone before arrival time. The app could and should be better, I hate to imagine someone whos low income having to paid £57 a month for a poor service that doesn't get them to work.

I left a 1 star review previously. But I've decided to delete that and leave another as I have an entirely new and thoroughly more annoying issue this time. I recently purchased a 12 day ticket bundle. Essentially you gut 12 one-day tickets to be used within 30 days of the activation of the 1st ticket. However, it's only 11 days after using the 1st ticket and already I've had two of them say they're expired when trying to scan them on the bus. Very annoying. £69 I paid.

App doesn't open and when it does the tickets don't get displayed,can't even remember how many times my child's been late to school because the driver won't let them on because the app doesn't load their weekly ticket Absolute rubbish! All well and good that you're looking into the known problems,if you know the problems and have done for a while why is it still not being fixed! There should be an option to use the email verification as proof of purchase?!

Cannot handle busy times, so you cannot buy a ticket when you are most likely to want to. I have to remember to do it on Sunday evening rather than Monday morning. When you use the app in the morning it times out repeatedly at each point along the ticket buying process. On two occasions the app has crashed at the payment screen and reserved the money from my bank account without adding the ticket. Arriva advised me just to wait until the money became available again (which it did after more than two weeks, but this could have left someone short of money). On one occasion the app crashed on the payment screen, but actually fully debited the money without adding a ticket (Arriva did add the ticket manually when I phoned them). The app always defaults to the wrong (but neighboring) ticket region rather than remembering the last region I bought a ticket for or allowing me to set a default region. I have very nearly bought a useless ticket many times due to this. Almost everyone will just want to buy tickets for one region only, so I'm sure people must end up buying useless tickets regularly. If Arriva increased the processing capacity of the app so it could handle peak times and added a default region setting then the app would be fine. In its current form it's very frustrating and could actually cause hardship for someone without the money to pay for a new ticket when a failed ticket purchase remains pending on their bank account for more than a fortnight.

This app is absolutely useless I have never known an app like it. It doesn't always show the buses and where they are. If on the odd occasion you do find it never moves along the line if you close the app and come back later the bus is still in the same place. The only way to get it to move is to uninstall it and reinstall then go back into it. We have also had it telling us the bus has been cancelled only to find out that it is running. It could be a great little app but unfortunately it isn't

Always, always issues! Not fit for purpose at all. Works fine when they take my money for a 4 week ticket then the trackers and bus stops on the maps don't work, the ticket screen doesn't load and now my ticket hasn't shown for days. I can't even log out and back in again it just does nothing. Need to reinstall and phone support to reinstate my ticket on the redownload app as that doesn't sync to your account. Not the first time I've had to do this. Some bus drivers are ok with issues, some not.

It Nevers Ives you an accurate time of when the bus is going to be there and it never loads properly. There has been times I've sat there for over ten minutes waiting for the bus timetable to come up. It shows my location but no buses. Several times my daughter has been late for school because the times were wrong and it's turned up early.

Mostly OK. It is a useful app but has 1 major problem. Sometimes the app suffers an "authentication error" which forces a log out. Upon doing so the mobile tickets no longer work. Replacement tickets via the app haven't worked for me ("invalid barcode" error), and some tickets replaced via customer service phone calls also fail with the same error. This happens on average about every 6 weeks which is very annoying and frustrating.

App is about as useless as expected. Canceled busses still show up on schedules as "on time" right up until they should be at your stop, no bus comes. So unless your bus says it is delayed assume it does not exist. The irony is that the actual digital displays at some bus stops do not have this issue, so the information does exist, arriva just chooses to ignore it.

The live map is actually worse than the old version. Very slow to respond and doesn't often show the buses. Thought the new version would be better; it isn't. The ticket purchasing and utilisation is as good as it was before. Update (13/10/21) - No improvement to this app at all. Wouldn't even allow me to activate a purchased ticke this morning. Dreadful, dreadful app. Most companies, on seeing their app having one of the lowest ratings on Google Play, would do something about it. Not Arriva.
