Reliability fixes from a full-app review. - App icons now refresh immediately when an app updates — even the ones already visible on the dock, home screen and app drawer. - App-list scanning no longer runs several times per package event, and typing in search no longer rescans installed apps on every keystroke. - Restoring a backup can no longer leave a stuck, unremovable empty folder on the home screen. - A successful Google Drive backup is no longer reported as failed when only the old-backup cleanup hiccups. - Widget resizing now resizes the widget content live while you drag, and a rejected resize snaps the frame back. - Folder previews no longer distort at small icon sizes, drawer folders show notification badges, and an empty search says "No results found". - The 4G/5G label appears right after granting the phone permission from Settings, and a rare startup crash-loop risk was removed.

ARK-launcher is a modern, lightweight Android home-screen launcher built entirely with Jetpack Compose and Material 3. It is bilingual (Finnish and English) and works as a standalone launcher for anyone. Features: * Paged home screen with free icon placement and smooth drag-and-drop — move icons within a page, across pages, and between the home grid and the dock. * Dock of favourite apps. * App drawer with universal search: apps, system settings pages, contacts (opt-in), and a calculator / unit converter, plus an optional most-used apps row. * Home-screen widgets — add, resize, move, reconfigure, and stretch a widget to full width. Collection widgets (chat lists, calendars) scroll in place. * Built-in widgets: clock/calendar/weather smartspace, battery ring, and a notifications widget. * Folders on the home screen and inside the app drawer. * Third-party icon packs (ADW/Nova appfilter format) and Material You themed icons. * Configurable gestures: swipe up for the app drawer, swipe down for notifications, and a configurable left-edge swipe. * Notification dots / badges, and an optional themed status bar. * Backup and restore your layout to a file, plus optional Google Drive auto-backup. Widgets are included in backups. * Lock desktop, hide apps, rename apps with custom labels, and a self-contained settings screen. Free and open-source under the Apache-2.0 license.
