Most of the compositions are collections of mythology of ancient India, Iran and Arab countries. The stories are full of imaginative, talismanic and magical events. Even though written many centuries ago, the stories are quite entertaining and amazingly beautiful. They are enchanting to all age groups from small children to adults and are revered by all. One Thousand and One Nights (Arabic: كِتَاب أَلْف لَيْلَة وَلَيْلَة‎‎ kitāb ʾalf layla wa-layla) (known in English as the Arabian Nights) is a collection of Middle Eastern and South Asian stories and folk tales compiled in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age. The work was collected over many centuries by various authors, translators, and scholars across West, Central, and South Asia and North Africa. The tales themselves trace their roots back to ancient and medieval Arabic, Persian, Mesopotamian, Indian, Jewish and Egyptian folklore and literature. What is common throughout all the editions of the Nights is the initial frame story of the ruler Shahryār (from Persian: شهريار‎‎, meaning "king" or "sovereign") and his wife Scheherazade (from Persian: شهرزاد‎‎, possibly meaning "of noble lineage"). The main frame story concerns Shahryār, whom the narrator calls a "Sasanian king" ruling in "India and China". He is shocked to discover that his brother's wife is unfaithful; discovering his own wife's infidelity has been even more flagrant, he has her executed. In his bitterness and grief, he decides that all women are the same. Shahryār begins to marry a succession of girls only to execute each one the next morning, before she has a chance to dishonour him. Eventually the vizier, whose duty it is to provide them, cannot find any more girls. Scheherazade, the vizier's daughter, offers herself as the next bride and her father reluctantly agrees. On the night of their marriage, Scheherazade begins to tell the king a tale, but does not end it. The king, curious about how the story ends, is thus forced to postpone her execution in order to hear the conclusion. The next night, as soon as she finishes the tale, she begins (and only begins) a new one, and the king, eager to hear the conclusion of this tale, postpones her execution once again. So it goes on for 1,001 nights. The stories in the app are as follows : 1) Shariar and Scheherazade - The beginning 2) The Merchant and the Genie 3) The First Old Man with the Hind 4) The Second Old Man with Two Black Dogs 5) The Fisherman 6) The Greek King and the Physician Douban 7) The Husband and the Parrot 8) The Vizir Who Was Punished 9) The Young King of the Black Isles 10) The Three Kalendars, Sons of Kings, and of Five Ladies of Baghdad 11) The First Kalendar, Son of a King 12) The Second Kalendar, Son of a King 13) The Envious Man 14) Story of the Third Kalendar, Son of a King 15) The Seven Voyages of Sindbad the sailor 16) Sinbad's First Voyage 17) Sinbad's Second Voyage 18) Sinbad's Third Voyage 19) Sinbad's Fourth Voyage 20) Sinbad's Fifth Voyage 21) Sinbad's Sixth Voyage 22) Sinbad's Seventh and Last Voyage 23) The Little Hunchback 24) The Barber's Fifth Brother 25) The Barber's Sixth Brother 26) Prince Camaralzaman and the Princess Badoura 27) Noureddin and the Fair Persian 28) Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp 29) The Adventures of Haroun-al-Raschid 30) The Blind Baba-Abdalla 31) The Story of Sidi-Nouman 32) The Story of Ali Colia, Merchant of Baghdad 33) The Enchanted Horse 34) The Story of the three Sisters
