I didn't like the advertising update but I thought I could live with it. There were advertisements for streaming services I didn't have but I would ignore them. What pushed this to an absolute ZERO stars (that I can't give because 1 is the lowest) was seeing advertisements for THEATRICAL RELEASES?????? I can't use any app to watch these I actually need to go to a theatre. So silly google, thank you for blowing what little good will you had left with the consumers. Can't wait til you unveil the Pixel 6 and think that all the people that supported you will pay 1000$ for a phone that you offered for $500 not to long ago. You've lost the narrative. Pick the book back up and start from the beginning and you might have a chance.

As an nVidia Shield TV owner, one of the criteria for my purchase in 2019 was a nonintrusive interface without ads. Because the Shield employs the Android core system, the device is beholden by Android TV software updates. Prior to the Android TV's latest update, purchasers of the Shield up until mid 2021 experienced a customizable bare bones opt out of marketing interface. Google has invaded its users goodwill. The decision to accept 3rd party funds and force said 3rd party interests in lieu of customer choice is unethical, immoral and thievery. nVidia would be wise to search for (or even create) another core system. This decision shows Google does not have customer's interests in their mission statement.

A Spam bot that you pay for. I am so angry about the new ads that take up half the launcher screen that I can't watch TV on my NVidia Shield anymore. Dropping the shield off at goodwill and switching to an Apple TV device.

Pretty awful, and surprisingly poor configurability. Would not recommend Android TV other other solutions, such as LG with WebOS. Had much higher expectations for this, but it's clear that Android TV is only a tool for Google to sell services that nobody wants. When I give two stars I am being generous.

You're forcing ads for services I'm not subscribed to and have no interest in subscribing to (Disney Plus)... Please revert back to older version or make it so we can select what services we'd like to see in ads. (The option is there but it ignores my selection)
