Played years back, finished it. Now replaying it again. I'm more interested with the map than combat itself, damn they made such amazing map. My weapon for pretty much the ENTIRE game was the sword that i got at early stage, something with Flag in it's name. Skill points are hard, but i can see that if you got more the game will just be straight up easy. For the devs, i recommend improving the depths for the map on the north, it's kind of empty unlike other sides.Comment based on +- 2015 gameplay

  2. guest-avatar

Help! Awesome game, im seriously in love! Top notch RPG goldmine. But i have some troubles. I cant for the life of me find the second chant in "Lights in the Dark". Ive searched everywhere, up and down the hill 5 times, but its nowhere to be found. There are some papers in the basement of the hut, the one with the journal in it, but nothing happens when i step on them. PLEASE HELP ASAP

  3. guest-avatar

Clean and smooth. No i gotcha pay to play. Just simple fun and smooth.. Thanks for this fun game

  4. guest-avatar

The game story, characters, and environment are nicely done, it reminds me of gamboy zelda. The enemies past the second town are brutal and leveling up is tough sometimes because you lose points after dying but overall it's a great game and offers an adequate challenge.

  5. guest-avatar

Is there no sound in this game? Playing an rpg game without sound kinda suck, the control is a little hard too

  6. guest-avatar

This RPG is an outstanding game!!! It's like.. it has interactive concept that will leads your way to one to another situation base on what you decided... you choose whether you side them or the other one... too many side quest that's connected to the main plot! ILOVE THIS GAME! IT'S VERY IDEAL ONE

  7. guest-avatar

nice game! I got hooked instantly, 65 quests done only 4 left, I just wish there are new maps already. Played for 3 weeks straight, very challenging game and sometimes frustrating, the storyline is nice too

  8. guest-avatar

Game is very good for the type of game it is. You will have to do a good amount of grinding though. The world is fairly big with lots to do i just wish there was more gear variety and a way to redo your character build because a bad build will cripple you forever.

Great story in an old school rpg game. There is a natural sense of exploration when you only have dialog clues to explain where to go and what to find. There is no handholding as well, its a real refreshing game to have found

  10. guest-avatar

I will happily pay $10 to play this game if it means more content. Best rpg ever and i dont even like rpg's. But seriousky please charge people $10 so you guys can do this full time and have an income. And thank you for making this game! Only thing i will NEVER uninstall!

  11. guest-avatar

Its cute, easy and a fun way to pass the time. The macanics are wonderful for one hand use. While being left handed its really to access, dont need to reach across the screen.

it's a great game, a lot of content in every sense. can I give you a request? my damage resistance is high enough to fight off monsters without taking any damage even if they land a critical on me, would you make it so I can automatically win these battles, please? thank you

Nostalgia and loving it again Last played like 5yrs ago in blackberry. Hard time finding this now. Cause cant remember name. And to my surprise finding it. Its being updated. Looking forward to this again

  14. guest-avatar

A good game that is still growing. Some of the items need a little more balancing in regards to cost, but everything works nicely. Waiting for the next update.

  15. guest-avatar

I had this game many years ago. I am so glad that I found it again because I had forgot the name. Thanks for not changing the swords and shield identifier for your game.

  16. guest-avatar

Very great game Question is it uncompleted game cause there are lot of area that o cannot visit or enter?

  17. guest-avatar

Best new-age retro game ever made! Looking forward to new content.

Awkward controls and rpg maker level graphics sick any fun out of the game.

  19. guest-avatar

Enjoyable May i make the suggestion of disabling movement on screen while using a d-pad

  20. guest-avatar

Get this game ONLY if you love to level grind. For someone who is a fan of games like this I find a lot of reward pushing through some of the more frustrating maps in the game where I have 'died' several times over. The game balance is brutally high, requiring hours of killing lower level enemies to level up your character and monster drops are low value so you really have to save for that item in a shop. Even buying something from a shop often requires a favour or a several stage quest. 5/5

  21. guest-avatar

Great game been playing for about 8 years on and off.

  22. guest-avatar

Firstly, the combat system is obnoxiously bad (and I mean REALLY BAD) and is neither fun, thoughtful or even challenging. The level up/upgrade system is even worse. There's no animation in your character (sorry, I meant statue) that moves like someone rushing to the toilet. There's no sound FX or music. All those giving this 5 stars are just trapped (sorry, I meant hopelessly invested because of all their mindless grinding) in an unfinished beta that might have been good 30+ years ago... πŸ˜’

  23. guest-avatar

A real hidden gem, truly a must have for rpg fans

  24. guest-avatar

One of the best old school RPG game for mobile platforms. Still under development, but the world is huge. Waiting for more interesting quests and locations. Many thanks for this amazing project.

So much respect! I just downloaded the new update and I just want to say thank you! I downloaded this game many years ago, probably close to when it was first released and this is still one of my favorite old school rpgs on the Play Store. It's got a great depth of play and feel to it, AND to top it off, it still gets support even 10 years later. So much respect to the Devs and to this game. Thank you and please give this game a download and play!

  26. guest-avatar

It's okay. Not bad by any means. Though I really do feel you should make your own assets. You use a lot of assets from Fire Emblem for the GBA. I assume you went to like spriterres and got recolors but recolors or not I would suggest making your own assets. They dont match or look good anyway. I would try to find or make sprites that follow the style of the main playable characters to give it a solid theme. Maybe improve controls. Not bad just annoying. Use swipe or dpad or touch tracking.

  27. guest-avatar

Nice. Perfect offline RPG game with no ads. Easy to keep up with quests. Tip for new players: buying some gear will from the blacksmith will make the game easier.

  28. guest-avatar

Much respect to the devs (and community volunteers) for making this really cool game, which is completely free(say whaaat? πŸ˜‚) . Idk why you don't even have ads on so you could get some revenue, but honestly i wouldn't mind if you had a banner or something on the bottom or top since it's really fun and enjoyable and i'd be happy if you got something back for what you're giving. Great game and thank you for making it!

  29. guest-avatar

I played the permadeath mode because I like the challenge but something happened. While playing the game crashed , everything stop so I have to restart my tablet but when I go back there is no continue like usually happen and obviously no save either since once you reload your save its gone. Im thinking maybe instead of save gone when you reload it why not give each character 1 save slot. This way save is not gone if game crash happen again and we still cant abuse saving method. 1 save slot/char

  30. guest-avatar

Very good game, honestly, once it's done I'm hoping for a new game+ so I can keep leveling up my character New Update : hey guys the latest update doesn't skip the turn automatically after my character attacks and I have to do it manually, I love the game, but pressing end turn after every one strike it's really time consuming. Only seems to happen with the Yatagan sword

  31. guest-avatar

Update it with weaker enemies and more equipment ty..

  32. guest-avatar

I love this game. The worst part is the learning curve. I made bad choices with stats and points early and found restarting was the only real option.

  38. guest-avatar

Great game, sad it's not getting the love it deserves

  39. guest-avatar

To be honest. This game is one of the best oldschool rpggame I've ever played in my life... actually this is my number one... tho it's not yet complete but the gameplay is god tier!!! Every decision you have made might affect your story...and that's the interesting part of this game! I hope that this is not the end of this game.. I'm still hoping to see feygard city, brightport, nor city and brimhaven. Thanks to the admins and stuff who made this game for free, i really appreciate your workβ˜ΊοΈπŸ‘.

I'm very enthusiastic about the potential of this game. Sure, it's a lot of grind, but that's the fun of rpg games such as this. My only question would have to be the progress on the quest 'Lost To The Ages.' I started playing this game over six years ago, and I'm just curious as to where the team is on that.

  42. guest-avatar

Fun game. Retro feel to it

Great game! Played it for over 10 years on different devices and I still come back to make new characters. As a suggestion, put in a way of fast travel to inns you've already visited. Cuts down on walking between places where the monsters are too weak to pose a threat.

  44. guest-avatar

Its a dopie haha but for me I suggest that you bring music in the game for different areas of it music for battles normal enemies to extraordinary, and for different places iof the game when you enter taverns, inns, caves, and so on.

One of my absolute favorite mobile games ever!! I played this game all the time years ago, but after years of no updates & having already completed all quests & had all of the rarest items so when I deleted the game I save my game save files on my Google drive, but now that I see there's a new update when I went back to Google drive the folder is still there but files are not!! I grinded for months to get to where I was, maybe more! I don't want to start from scratch! :(

  46. guest-avatar

A really enjoyable rpg with lots to do. The fighting system could use something like magic to get some more options than just attacking. The movement is nice and fast, controls fairly well. An option to disable touch controls would be nice. There are many quests, differing in quantity and quality. It's just a shame you can't finish the main quest, finding Andor, yet. It gets quite interesting towards what's currently the end.

  47. guest-avatar

Love this game, I've been playing since shortly after it came out, years ago, and just redownloaded it, but for some reason the screen is zoomed all of the way out when I started playing it again. I've gone through the preferences, but I just can't figure out how to zoom back in. In advice would be greatly appreciated.

  48. guest-avatar

Played this game years ago. I'd say since it came out. Loved it then loved it now. Hopefully the game gets finished so i can finally beat it. Unfortunately i lost my save game from years ago, but whatever I'll start again. The only down side is the amount of grinding that this game requires ! Simple mobs can easily beat you up

  49. guest-avatar

The Android sandbox is excellently designed. It allows apps to load all of the assets they could possibly ever need, but only within their own space, without giving them carte blanche to mess with all your files. It also ensures that when you delete it, all those files go with it. The only reasons a game could ever have to demand access outside it are either malicious or incompetent. Either way, letting them have free run of your files is a terrible idea. Always 1 star.

  50. guest-avatar

I sadly must give 3 stars atm. This game is great fun, but has been a work in progress for about 3 years at least, maybe more, with no added content in that timeframe. That being said, it would be 4 stars. However it has no cloud save etc. I want to play this game, but losing progress 3 times due to changing phones is the final line i draw.

  51. guest-avatar

Looks like it could be fun just couldn't get past the fact there is no music or any sounds whatsoever, for being 10 years old not sure how that got missed. Maybe if that got fixed i'd give it another go. Uninstalled.

  52. guest-avatar

I just downloaded this game, and I've been completely hooked. Been playing for days. It takes a lot of work to get stronger at first, but the more you play, the better it gets. The forum has really been helpful. Kudos to the development team for a wonderful game with an amazing storyline. BEWARE!!! Highly Addictive Offline Game. πŸ˜‰

  53. guest-avatar

4 stars but a soft 4, it's a very good game, but it is far to much of a grind, ill grind an hour or more to buy up bonemeal potions and blow through 80 in a single dungeon crawl, or maybe im just not finding the right quests at the right times but you could nerf the combat a bit... Way points would help tons, or better equipment ... Or maybe im just doing this all wrong lol , edit- still stuck on a few parts, checked quest logs and im up to date, there may be a glitch?

  54. guest-avatar

Edit for dev reply: You can have good gear, healing items etc and move slowly planning every step then you fight an enemy only for it to immediatley respawn in the same exact spot and kill you without you being able to do anything first. Its impossible to know when this will happen and when it does its impossible to avoid if youre near death after a fight. To mitigate this you would have to always flee battles if health drops below 50% or risk being killed if a respawn happens.

  55. guest-avatar

I started playing this game about 3 years ago, and I love it. I first sampled it's game play on a Hietecher divice. And was angry that I couldn't complete the game. So I'm glad to hear that continued work is being done to satisfy the gamer community. Thank you for your time and effort.😁

  56. guest-avatar

    Kevin Wisnumurthi Adhi Nugroho

This is REALLY BAD. You can't even fight more than couple enemies before you have to rest. You can easily die too and lose many experiences. Definitely not recommended

  57. guest-avatar

Level 1-10 is hours and hours of grinding the same mobs in the same small area with little story line that can be engaged due to everything being more powerful than your character. To get to Lvl 8 alone required killing appropriately: 350 small wild dogs, 160 forest wasps, 150 cave rats, 60 small wasps and 40 yellow forest ants. Next to no quests available during all this time grinding, Game has potential to be fun but the devs lost sight of where they wanted to go with this game.

  58. guest-avatar

    Donavon LaTurner

It was pretty good. Nice storyline. Some funny dialogue. Kinda interested to see what you guys do with it. Btw i did all the quests soI'm not interested in hacking my save files or anything. I'm not technologically inclined like y'all. I'm just a gamer.

  59. guest-avatar

Great game requires a bit of grinding but its ok just one question i killed the thing under the cross roads guard house close to loneford without getting a quest to do so. call it a moment of boredem and i wonder whether thats going to be a problem like i get a quest to kill it but seeing as i already killed it does not count and i can't complete the quest.

  60. guest-avatar

Edit: I reinstalled this up a few week ago and still its the best, just that i already finished all the quest available. I hope theres another update on new maps, quest and content. Im at level 70 now. 😊

  61. guest-avatar

i would give 5 star, but i cannot finish my mission on finding andor, which i have to go on nor city and there is no nor city on map. only direction to the east from floaming flask tavern. it is really sad, that your favorite game but you cannot finish it.

  62. guest-avatar

    Controls are atrocious

  63. guest-avatar

Awesome game. But to the point where 5cant do anything else without new updates. Thank you for a wonderful pixel adventure. Please let me know when I might be able to play the next parts. If there are any parts that I may contribute to help the creation then let me know.

  64. guest-avatar

Cant access my character named Prototype, that save slot is invisible. ? Too many negatives on gear all around, very few useful items. Rude, condescending npcs. Painfully low experience gain, not enough skills, low quest rewards. Too grindy to be enjoyable, overall mechanics, not good. Attack chance displayed and actual % are way off. The formula is broken. Crit, block, attack and experience need to be re-balanced. Give out more skillpoints or make them better. Levelup should be more substantial

  65. guest-avatar

Don't be fooled by simplicity of graphics. This is a great game, you simply can (and must) play it for hours until your character is strong enought to proceed to next map. I still find it attractive, eventhough started to play it many many years ago. My first device broke down and had to start from scratch with the new device. And had to that again when that failed too. Have started again so many times, and yet again, fell in love to this game when started it with my latest device. Now I must remember to take backups so I Don't have to start from start again, LOL :)

  66. guest-avatar

I actually love this game, but it's so frustrating at how slow any leveling up is. It takes forever to get anywhere and I think it's time to put it away until the game is completed. Real updates are YEARS apart and I loose my place every time I get a new phone, and I just can't keep grinding. It would be massively helpful to have a GPS of sorts to return to places you've been. Just click a "go to" button and have a list of major places that can be whittled down to even a specific person you're trying to find as long as you've been there before. Also, magic and or long range weapons would be awesome, though I understand that means the enemy should have something too.

A wonderfully enjoyable game, a pleasant cimmunity around it too. I cant develop games and so i am not involved in furthering maps etc but its a ver enjoyable and well made game. A thank you to the work, done and ongoing with this. Excited for further updates.

I'm stuck on Quest Spies on Foam, everytime i inteact with Feygard always said he wil be left on one minute after he finish job i waited like more than minute but still he standing there :/

  69. guest-avatar

The Game is good, along with the story but could it please have more maps, cause I already have both north east and west maps completed but I have not yet complete some quest so could it have more maps, Items and more.

  70. guest-avatar

Love this game. Free and you can play offline, both of which are rarities nowadays, even for these classic style rpgs. Lots of quests and good plot, I look forward to every update. It's still a WIP so there are some areas that are unpolished (a couple of maps I've come across have an insane amount of lag), but overall it's a solid game. You'll definitely need to spend hours grinding to get anywhere so if you're looking for a game that is quickly moved through, this is not the one for you :P

  71. guest-avatar

Before I start playing I need to know how to get rid of the phone controls (like home and back button). This is the only game out of a hundred where they don't go away, so it must be a game issue. I have full screen enabled.

  72. guest-avatar

I'm very enjoy this game, even without sound. Less consume batteries. But one thing i don't like. Can you do something for an enemy that spawn to block a path? (Path guardian) Because of that, i stuck at Prim and i have to start over. Not easy to enter, impossible to escape. I suggest that for the enemy "Path Guardian", when killed, it will not spawn again until you rest or killed. (Aka Reset) While the random and free moving enemy doesn't get effected. They continue to Spawn. Thank you.

  73. guest-avatar

It's a real gem, true to oldschool RPG tradition, it feels like back in the early 90-s. Difficult to get into, but once you start questing, you get hooked. Do not look for hints online - you are expected to solve it on your own, just like back in 1989. I understand that having no sound is an active position of the authors, and I respect it, but at least the fan community could have added some 8-bit chirps ). In any case, thumbs up, way up!

  74. guest-avatar

Love that this game keeps growing over time and is totally free. If you want a fun questing and exploring 2d rpg play this for many hours of entertainment. Don't think you can't catch up to where the game is now, because you can and will because it's addictive. Love how open the map is. Love all the preference options. Just concerned about skill points at higher levels. Hope I can earn a lot more to complete my character.

I'd say the dev's are the best I've met, fast and friendly, The forum is great, and the game is addicting with an appealing storyline. Updates are finally rolling out again so it's great!πŸ‘

  76. guest-avatar

The game is very good. It's realistic in a sense that you are not overpowered, like how we probably would be if in an actual medieval fantasy world. It can still be improved by a lot though, music for one, and some things that might improve general user-friendliness (I play medieval fantasy music on my mp3 player to make up for it lol). But like the developers said, it's a work in progress. Thanks to you guys and I hope you never abandon the game like how other developers do.

  77. guest-avatar

Love the game and great time killer. Well if possible please add some sound effect or something and please fix the "Attack chances" stuff. I died due to that "miss" attack nonstop. Although I have a total of 120 AC. Maybe you guys did this for balance or It only happen when fighting high level monster and the skill point is too much!! 1 skill point for each 5 level? It's great If you guys can change it from 5 level to 3 level each. Edit:Thank you and now I know everything after hours of research

  78. guest-avatar

I wish I could give this a better review. It's everything I want in a classic-style RPG. I love grinding for loot and leveling up. But even after getting every single piece of the best gear available in the first town, and grinding for 4+ hours straight, it's still too difficult to progress forward. I feel like this could all be solved by giving a skill point EVERY level instead of every 4 levels. Or maybe just raise the xp rates for mobs? Something simple to make it playable for now.

Good but combat feels a bit too bland. Setbacks on getting killed sometimes feel devastating. Very light on the system, can easily be played on older hardware.

i swear all the little secret places, secret quests, puzzles, its amazing. SPOILER ALERT i mean, the door guard password in stoutford, the messages in cabin on the way to black mountain, the oegyth crystals, giving that obscure horse water, its AMAZING i LOVE this game. been playing for years. please continue making updates. i see the level of detail you put into this, and its greatly appreciated. but, "raw meat" is my staple food, could you allow us to convert it to "cooked meat" somehow?

Looks like it might be great eventually, but people aren't kidding when they say it's a grind. Completing the introductory rat dungeon takes hours of levelling and the most expensive sword in the shop, and at that point you're ready to... Keep killing those rats for another ten levels because every place outside the village is instant death. Later there is a short undead dungeon where you must collect five bones. The skeletons will drop maybe one between them. This takes a week of game time.

Awesome game. It's a single player offline RPG. It has a lot of content and the UI in completely intuitive. So often I find the UI of RPGs to be burdensome and distracting. This one is just well designed. The game is fun and has lots of story lines with different paths. And it is open landscape so you are free to explore.

Love the game! If you get hung up around fallhaven, farm the small rabid dogs to the west. There are only five, but they are easy to kill and drop meat. Sell the meat, rest, then head out and do it again. Took me a bit of grinding, but I got enough gold and xp to do the quests in the area.

Its a great game with a lot of potential, I cant judge it too strongly since its still very much in development but I can recommend some things I hope. Personally, Ide love if you could actually see the gear you put on and that even if they are low quality, animations get put in. It also gives you the feel that you can make choices but ive found very few cases where that feeling actually means you do. Rng seems to control attack chance far more than they points you put in it. Wish I could type M

Fantastic game so far, challenging but not frustratingly difficult. Movement takes a little getting used to but not bad. Ok, rating lowered. I see what everone is talking about, I'm level 12 and still can't make it through the first snake dungeon without getting my ass kicked. I'm an old school, hard RPG fan and this is frustratingly difficult. There needs to be an automatic skill/HP/attack and defense progression, with additional bonuses being available to point buy. Not giving up, but DAMN!

Wonderful construction... would probably win an award... If only it had better graphics

Great game would recommend to friends and any who enjoy a classic feeling game. controls are simple and effective. I have happily put many hours between a couple different playthroughs into this game. Now my only question is that I have been lucky enough to acquire two rings of lesser shadow, I have noticed the shadow regeneration trait does not stack with both equipped, is this a bug or intentional for balance reasons? Would like to know. Either way thank you muchly for such an enjoyable game!

It's a fun game with dozens of hours of playtime *if* you know how to use memory editing to work around its deficiencies. Controls are wonky. No teleports/fast-travel. Mobs are *everywhere*, and have *extremely* short respawn times. The starting areas have dangerous, high-level mobs. Perks are only gained every 4 levels, which makes it impossible to truly experience them. It takes way too much grinding to advance levels and equipment. Combat feels unbalanced. There is basically no wiki.

Lacks sound , music theme. Quite original (team), output less original though :(( (my standards of creativity are into the 85-95 golden age) . Nice it's all passtime work anyway! Nice also they kept the work going after so mang years sleeping. Must be funny to hear feedback from players who grinded stats and items during the no update years: how easy are you prpgressing in the updated game then?

Decent crack at a tradition RPG but has some issues. Healing is a real pain, with the only healing item costing 3 gold and only healing 1 HP. Its basically useless as even the rats hit for more than that. Sleeping recovers health but also resets the enemies so getting through a shirt cave to finish a quest is a massive grind, dying over and over to level up enough to reach the end. As the combat is a bit basic I just got bored.

I always love a game that is original, yet instills occasional nostalgic feelings. While there is no direct connection, I get a serious Zelda vibe when playing. But it's like Zelda with far more depth. This is clearly a project someone cares about and it shows. Do yourself a favor and go find Andor.

Great game! I remember playing this a few years ago, although back then it seems like grinding and leveling at the beginning was more easier. The new UI/graphics update is fantastic and makes it feel more polished than when I first played it. Love the additional choice of avatars. Would be cool to have a achievements/collections feature. Maybe even unlockable skins? changing clothes/armor of character? For Aesthetics of course. Thanks for the great game! Challenging and fun.. (Dying alot also)

Overall, the game is great and fun. Heres a couple suggestions, on quests, it is kinda confusing on where you will need to go. I think it will be helpful to put down X marks on where you need to go (even just in the map areas) to avoid useless searching in wrong areas. I also wish you can use warping elements to certain areas to at least cut down the long repeated trails which can get very anoying between quests.

How about changing level up bonuses to stat system? 1stat point per level, Str gives dmg Dex increases atk chance Vit increases max hp Agi increases block chance Also it'll be easier to find how many times a single bonus is picked.

I've been having lots of fun playing this over the last couple weeks. For the Android version, it appears there are some areas not yet available, as some of the online blogs have areas on maps that are inaccessible to me at the moment. I'm not sure if it is me having missed a quest or if its a transition glitch. Either way, the folks who've put time in this game should be proud of what they've done.

Controls are okay, just check preferences if you don't like them. Animation is a bit choppy as well and battles don't have a traditional rpg layout. I recommend the developers check out Dragon Lapis, Yorozuya, and Remixed dungeon for traditional RPG layout, gameplay and controls. Overall though the game has great potential but just needs continuous development. Good work so far. I will continue to watch the development grow on this project.

Fun little game! I spent hours on it doing quests and hunting monsters and will spend some more time on it. It would be the perfect game if we could use the monster drops to craft our own items. Multiplayer or allies would be tons of fun too. All in all, a good game will keep the player enjoying and wanting more and this game just does that :)

Fun but still a few problems for me. The XP loss for death is really high...and is a bigger downer the closer you are to leveling up. Which is a real negative, IMO. I have no idea how I'm supposed to get skills. I got one skill at level 3 with many options possible and I'm now level 6 and I still can't get a level perk , even when i meet the requirements e.g. 30 hp required. The touchscreen movement needs a little bit of updating.

Best rpg, ive played it many times, and I love that it has new updates. Developers keep the game as it is, dont change because of complaints, game style controls etc are already great.

Thank you for this update and thank you for continuing to work on this game! The new menu animation looks amazing and the dark theme is a nice touch. It seems that open-source developers are mostly the ones who appreciate the importance of dark themes. I have most of the game yet to explore, and I look forward to doing so!
