Description
This app determines the moment carrying capacity of reinforced concrete beam sections according to the American Concrete Institute (ACI). The app can handle singly reinforced, doubly reinforced, and T-sections. Calculations are based on the article "STRAIN LIMITS vs. REINFORCEMENT RATIO LIMITS - A COLLECTION OF NEW AND OLD FORMULAS FOR THE DESIGN OF REINFORCED CONCRETE SECTIONS" available online at http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.csse.2015.05.001. The app uses the US customary system of units (ft, in, kips, ksi).
