A great overall player for chiptunes, and so far the only tracker module player on Android (at least as far as I know) to support FM synthesis in Scream Tracker 3 (.s3m) module files. However, I have some nitpicks on its tracker module functionality - it does not parse "subsongs" and instead merges all "subsongs" into 1 long track.

It's almost perfect as far as I can tell, but it could really use filetype association to open chiptunes from other file browsers. Other music apps pop up when I open a chiptune file from my file browser, but not zxtune.

This music player is amazing. It's simple, yet powerful. For me, the most important feature is the ability to play tracks ripped directly from games. I've been rocking Winamp on my PC with plugins that support these different formats since the good old days, but hadn't been able to find a suitable equivalent for my phone until I stumbled across ZXTune. My only nitpicks are minor: -When set to play random, pressing back doesn't play the previous song. -Playlist menu should have a Load button.

I've been using this app for a good few years now, and I remember it used to crash a lot, was very sluggish loading off of online archives and GBA audio has always had some bad crackling issues. Glad to see that's finally being worked on though, it makes a huge difference, even if it's not perfect yet. There are still a few crackles here and there, but otherwise it's great. Hoping in future this can be fully addressed!
