For just 0,70€ it's definitely value for money. It sounds a little robot and pronounces some nouns as if they were verbs (e.g. "project") but overall a good quality voice. Much better than the built-in ones.

Pretty good. Sounds reasonably pleasant to listen to. close to sounding human. Still a bit robotic and sometimes odd pronunciation. But so far I managed to actively listen to this voice reading a part of a book to me for a few hours without going completely mental or wondering if the Borg are trying to assimilate me XD

Works, but this is William, not William-CereWave. There is a big difference. Not sure where to get William-CereWave, which sounds more natural. (Go to the cereproc website and put your own text example to see what I mean). Also, you might want to uninstall and reinstall google tts before the voice will work like it does in the app, but you might like it more as it is. Restart your phone for the voice to load into other apps and work properly.

Unfortunately this doesn't work on device with custom rom. Settings keeps stopping and preferred voice engine has not been set. Had to refund.

Ordinarily I'd give this 5 stars but for 1 thing. I forgot my Google password when my old phone started acting up. I bought a relative's when he upgraded but found my bkp of this voice wouldn't work on the 'new' phone. 20 yrs PC shareware exper didn't prepare me for that esp. as free but awful Glasgow voice works on all devices (which is why I felt fine purchasing William. I didn't know). So buyer beware! This is a sneaky practice which is so like way busn is going. No more paid apps 4me.

The app is great I have the voice reading books for me when I workingl. It is a not 100% like a real person but for a text to voice it is one of the best ones out there.

For occasional use it's fine, however what I needed it for it was too unrealistic. As well as this, one massive downside is that every other sentence it would crack up creating a very unpleasant sound and can be very annoying.

What can you really say about a computerized generated voice. All in all it's not bad I found this to be the least irritating male voice the company offers. I would love it if this company could produce a few more voices.

compared to the old Ivona voices, this voice is simply monotone. I have yet to find one that matches the quality and expression.
