WiFi Monitor is a powerful tool that allows you to analyze the state of WiFi networks and track its parameters (signal strength, frequency, connection speed, etc). It is useful for setting up a wireless router, Wi-Fi usage monitoring. It can also be used as a scanner and discover devices connected to WLAN.

"Connection" tab helps to track information about the connected WiFi hotspot:
• name (SSID) and identifier (BSSID)
• router manufacturer
• connection speed
• router signal strength
• frequency and channel number
• hotspot security options
• MAC address and IP address of smartphone
• subnet mask, default gateway and DNS address.

"Networks" tab allows to analyze all available WiFi networks by the following parameters: type, equipment manufacturer, signal level, security protocol. Access points with the same name (SSID) are grouped together.

"Channels" tab displays hotspots signal level depending on its frequencies. Routers using same frequencies provide bad quality of a Wi-Fi connection.

"Strength" chart helps to compare received power levels of available WiFi hotspots and track its dynamics. The higher router signal strength, the better quality of wireless connection.

"Speed" chart displays the real amount of transmitted and received data in the connected network. This will help to analyze usage of a hotspot.

"Scanning" section performs search of devices in the connected network and displays its parameters. If scanner reports about foreign devices in your WLAN, block them in router settings.

Collected data can be saved to log file and exported to other applications.

requires following permissions on your android device.

precise location (GPS and network-based)
Allows the app to get your precise location using the Global Positioning System (GPS) or network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine where you are, and may consume additional battery power.

view network connections
Allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected.

view Wi-Fi connections
Allows the app to view information about Wi-Fi networking, such as whether Wi-Fi is enabled and name of connected Wi-Fi devices.

connect and disconnect from Wi-Fi
Allows the app to connect to and disconnect from Wi-Fi access points and to make changes to device configuration for Wi-Fi networks.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

full network access
Allows the app to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. The browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet.

prevent phone from sleeping
Allows the app to prevent the phone from going to sleep.

In-App billing
In-app Billing on Google Play provides a straightforward, simple interface for sending In-app Billing requests and managing In-app Billing transactions using Google Play.

receive data from Internet
Allows apps to accept cloud to device messages sent by the app's service. Using this service will incur data usage. Malicious apps could cause excess data usage.

Thanks a ton for this App. Few suggestions. There is a delay in showing the dBm( Decibels-Millimeters) section. It would be nice to know on which channel the Wifi is running. If the dynamic channel changes can be shown, that would be really helpful. If there is a chance, please do try to write additional code to stop and block piggybacking on the signal and also display overloading and the latency descriptions. Best wishes to the developer for the future endeavors.

  2. Luis A. Florit-avatar

The app is nice but it shares the same deep flaw that almost all wifi monitor apps have: they show you ALL visible networks (in my case more than 30 or 40!) instead of just the ones that you are actually interested in monitoring. Then the charts are virtually impossible to read. There should be a way to select which SSIDs to monitor (say, by regular expression matching the SSIDs). EDIT: Added one more star because of the fast response of the developer.

  3. Geoff McE-avatar

Automatically starts and cannot stop it. Good idea but need to be able to turn in and off. Who would need it on all time? Few people if any. Despite you saying turn it off as a reply to the above IT TURNS ITSELF BACK ON SHORTLY AFTER BEING TURNED OFF! if you do not know this then I would be very surprised as you wrote the code. Clearly there is a timer built in that turns it back on if its been turned off. As another reviewer says it drains battery that is why I want it off. The software is good and useful. But it needs to stay off when turned off. Happy to try update and test and report back.

  4. Albert C-avatar

Latest update made things worse. I can't select 5Ghz monitoring anymore. Instead of the convenient one touch toggle, it's now a dropdown menu needing 3 clicks, but the 5Ghz options are greyed out.

  5. Alan Claydon-Fink-avatar

Can't seem to edit the label of connected devices any more? Seems only to be a problem on my Note 10 not on the Note 8. Could it be a compatibility issue?

  6. Sergey Kofanov-avatar

Works well. The chart update is kind of slow, so I usually restart the app every time I need fresh data if I survey interference around the house.

  7. Giovanni Buenavista-avatar

    Giovanni Buenavista

FINALLY! The one I've been looking for! Professionally done. Well-packaged product. Added real-time online security for my post-paid Internet service. Hail to Russia!

  8. George Lerner-avatar

Useful info, clear display. Turn monitoring off when not using it.

  9. Nate M-avatar

Pixel 3, wifi monitor won't even turn on. Green button does nothing. Uninstalling....

  10. Bas Twigt-avatar

Because of the ads I can't read all data.

  11. Ronald Gladman-avatar

Didn't work for a while after update but is now better than before.

  12. David Stovell-avatar

Allows me to find things on my network, exactly what I want of it

  13. Amine mtahaf-avatar

The absolute best wifi app in the store. Love it.

  14. Larry Hawkins-avatar

This application does a lot very good

  15. Brian Cross-avatar

Excellent tracking tool for your local Wi-Fi network. However, there are some problems removing the advertisements as described in the purchase process to do so. After purchasing the removal of a bad, some of the ads still appear there regardless of the purchase. Tried making contact with the developer but have not heard back yet. That part needs to be fixed. Other than that, it's an excellent tool. Certainly will let you know what's going on on your home network.

  16. Al Bow1-avatar

I found that this app drained the battery. Even with the app closed, and device in airplane mode, battery was been drained overnight, so that by next morning almost 50% of battery reserve was used. Uninstalled app and now, battery drain overnight in airplane mode is 1%

  17. Donald Forester-avatar

Very professional delivery; that is design, function, essential meta-analysis. Very clean graphics. This app has been a big help to me. BUT: And I don't have any "buts," i.e. cricisms.

  18. Terence Johnson-avatar

    Terence Johnson

Very good so far. Can't turn on to keep app open. Would be great if could display frequency of connection in the slide down, so can tell without having to go into app.

  19. Kris Ked-avatar

This. is nice looking app., but not functional. The scaner scan its own device only and is extremely slow It is just a decoration don't waste your time. The drveloper does not know how to fix his own app. What a joke! 😃 What's the problem Alex? 🙄

  20. John Austin-avatar

Just started using this app. It shows my router and two d-link 1320 extenders quite clearly. All three nodes are shown with the same SSID. The installer used the same crappy basement corner for the router and I received crappy speeds in office and bedroom. Luckily, the WPS works well and both 1320 units connected. This app PROVES that everything is working correctly.

  21. Oktosar Sabri-avatar

Helping me a lot. But it will be perfect if i can disable client

  22. Huzaifah Susukan-avatar

    Huzaifah Susukan

very excellent all-in-one app for tracking network. very informative. a total package. no need to install two separate apps just to get info I need. what is the difference between wifi monitor and wifi monitor pro?

  23. Patrick Hudson-avatar

There are no instructions. I have no idea if this does what I need it to or not; keep a running log of wifi signal to show when the signal stops for no reason

  24. Guido Jones-avatar

Very detailed. Easy to use. Only issue is that it doesn't seem to recognize the Airport Express.

  25. Tobias-avatar

Not bad. A bit intricate, monitor (app engine) needs to be turned on with a tap, scan on the Scan folder (network connected devices) is manual, I am quite dazzled by the bright adverts at the bottom. Nice to have a dedicated speed meter.

  26. pieter Lastname-avatar

    pieter Lastname

Provides quick refreshes showing channels being used when updating my routers so to avoid channel contention seems to work well overall.

  27. Sombodywake Hicks-avatar

    Sombodywake Hicks

Cleanest, easiest app I've found for accessing my Router settings which is what I originally was looking for, but app has the added Plus of detailed information of all the network's around me. Great UI and nice presentation 👌.

  28. Joe Griego-avatar

This App is great for monitoring your Wi-Fi signal Getting helpful information about your gateway. It also do a speed test It's a great app. Thanks again.

  29. Guy Gilbert-avatar

Fantastic layout, easy to use but fails to scan any other device except what the app is installed on!

  30. Gerard van Royen-avatar

    Gerard van Royen

It gives me all the info I need to decide what channel to use and where to put my WiFi. This way I can easily plan for least interference. Brilliant piece of work!!

  31. John Symonds-avatar

A very useful app. Makes troubleshooting wifi that much easier.

  32. Eamon Bussy-avatar

Not able to switch off easily when not in use. Continues running in the background even if the app is closed. Programmers seem to think I want to monitor the Wi-Fi 24/7/365. And that during that time I, want notifications every few seconds. I have better things to do with my time. The app did the job as required and does it well. But I should be able to run it only when required.

  33. Rudolf Huijs-avatar

Very useful and quick graphics. I was able to determine why my router seemed lagging and it was due to channel interference. I changed channel settings and improved speed. Recommended.

  34. E. L.-avatar

I would not ever be without this app. I have been using it for about 4 months. It is awesome. Thanks for this great product.

  35. Eyal Oren-avatar

Hi, at the good time, an app that not needed to update every day was Once Payment. Now almost everyone change the payment from Once to Per month, it is not fair and becomes frustrating. I hope you can understand me.

  36. Paul Towle-avatar

Wanted an app to monitor my WiFi signal strength. Seems to do the job well + a lot more too. This is a really nice easy to use app. 5-Stars!

  37. Steve Bowser-avatar

The app works well for me and lets me check the strength of my wifi.

  38. Alexander Knibbe-avatar

    Alexander Knibbe

Why does this app need to access the location? Yet another privacy issue.

  39. Martin Tebbs-avatar

I tried several alternatives before this. This is the easiest to use and most informative.

  40. Pietro Girotti-avatar

Bad and slow Edit: as a young programmer, I appreciate your fast response. So: devices scan is slow (and sometimes don't find all devices connected), WiFi scan (channels and strength) is absolutely unusable cause high latency response (most of the time, it's shown only an orizontal line). Speaking about UI, it's easy but primitive and graphics isn't good at all. Network speed it's ok.

  41. Duncan Dwelle-avatar

Very simple and powerful. I especially like kepping the app on top when i am driving with WiFi OFF, which i am forced to do to orevent constant interruption from drive-by hot spots. Then when i get somewhere with valid WiFi fir my phone (home, Peet's, etc.) I'll remember to turn WiFi back on.

  42. Mark E'silva-avatar

Excellent app shows all YOU need to see about a Wifi router and more

  43. Mike Zipp-avatar

So far so good..easy to use UI. Shows just the pertinent details.

  44. Roger Vinson-avatar

Gives tons of info & ability to access router.

  45. Clinton Cole-avatar

Useless garbage app does not allow you to actually connect to the listed networks

  46. Dexter Gamibe-avatar

This app tells my wifi signal strength and who is connected to my wifi. This app is very useful and truly amazing!

  47. Dwight Munns-avatar

It is very helpful in managing our WiFi and making decisions on where to place equipment.

  48. Paul Richardson-avatar

    Paul Richardson

Very useful app, gives clear indication of exactly how your WiFi is working.

  49. Paul Holdcroft-avatar

Nice app but inability to purchase outright. Subscription only 👎

  50. Jaye-avatar

Had this app about 10 mins, turned location on, sorted out what i wanted to do, top right corner is power, turned it of so it aint running in the background then turned off location. Ps the on/off button is very easy to see😁and the app works fine on a galaxy s5. Great app. Thanks man👍

  51. Naresh Dhokia-avatar

Great App, with highly, up to the minute, real time, functions and details. I love the App. Easy to read and understand. I highly recommend it. Go for it guys. With best wishes.

  52. Raynold Walker-avatar

Kept saying push button in upper right. Only button was to give app my location. Finding a wifi source does not require private location.

  53. Yesi Am-avatar

Why is facebook listed if it's not a network or router? I dont even use facebook, I never will after it was compromised.

  54. Doug VanLeuven-avatar

You need this app to see what channels are used locally so you can assign your own channel without interference. Otherwise it's just hit and miss.

  55. Wesley Joshway-avatar

Great tool to let you know strength and conditioning of WiFi signal!

  56. Bob Archell-avatar

I had an initial problem with ads still appearing after subscription but that was resolved by Alex with a speedy app fix. The app is excellent and covers everything one would want to know about their WiFi environment. Well done!

  57. S VonBraunsky-avatar

Very clear charts and information. App identified channel conflicts with neighbors' routers that I solved by changing channels on my router. Could use some instructions. Ads are not intrusive.

  58. Tampa Powers-avatar

To remove ads a monthly subsceuption, the dev must be high on something for an app like this that is totally insane, uninstalled!

  59. A Google user-avatar

Awesome Analysis Tool, will truly help you pinpoint Wi-Fi challages. Troubleshooting made simple so a result of an AWESOME developer. Thank you for your hard work!

Pain in the no shine zone. It monitored every wifi close to me, I really did not care about them. Mine was mentioned in passing. I deleted your app and found one relevant to me. Thank you...

  62. A Google user-avatar

Very good app, if it offered a visual signal strength meter I would give it 5 stars. It replaced my previous app "wifi Anaylizer". Definitely better functions than Wifi Analyzer.

not a monitor. this just scans. i was looking for something that monitored connection strength and up time. this just shows a single point. so NOT a monitor
