When the previous white noise "sleep" app I paid for decided to shift to a subscription model or get intrusive ads, I immediately uninstalled it. So far, White Noise Free has been a great replacement. It allows for mixing various sounds together, and controlling the individual sounds volume level. I really appreciate this as I like to change things up from time to time. I kinda wish you could save certain sound mixes. This app is supported by ads, but THANKFULLY, the ads are not intrusive. So I have no problem there. On the downside, the app has shut itself off on several occasions. That wakes me up immediately. Update: Nothing seems to overcome this, even the Devs suggestions so that it doesn't go to sleep. It is PURELY random on when it shuts down. I keep a flashlight app running at the same time, so the phone isn't going to sleep and the app is on a "never sleep" list. Sadly, it will stop from time to time (every few weeks or so), sometimes multiple times a night. I knock off a star for that. Bottom line: as long as the Devs don't switch to intrusive ads, I'll continue to use this (mostly) excellent white noise product.

This is SO helpful for hotel stays, dang. The mixer tool is where it's at. I only wish it had an option to save/bookmark a few mixed sounds that you've created so you can pull them up again later. It automatically pulls up what you last had running, but that's it.

Very easy to use, nice variety of sounds and volumes, can be set to timer or run indefinitely. I'm not sure how it does on battery, since I usually have my phone charging at night, but the couple of times I haven't, it seems to have done okay.

Love this app!!! U don't have to have wifi to use it and u don't have to have the app pulled up for it to work. Turn it on, and do whatever u want on your phone without it disrupting the app. It's great for running thru a speaker for my daughter to sleep while at the same time I am checking my emails.

Tinnitus has gotten worse. This app helps me a lot in curbing the discomfort caused by it. Ads are not invasive, which would make the app useless; the interface is clean and tidy; there's a lot of sounds available. So far, the app deserves 5 stars. Thank you, developers!

this app is great! i love the variation in the rain sound and its awesome that i can play my music over the ambient noise. however the one thing i dislike is that the volume of the noise is synced to the volume of the actual phone, so if one song is too quiet i can't adjust the volume of the rain. still, very helpful for focus.

I downloaded this app to support focus and attention while completing reading for my grad school program in our home environment. It's perfect to drown out the background noises from the TV, dog, and other happenings. I use it with noise cancelling headphones so that probably boosts effectiveness as well. I love the timer feature! It helps me realize how long I've been reading and pace myself.

I love it! There is a great selection of different sounds and I can tailor the volume output of each one to get the right mix. As a shift worker, I use white noise every time I sleep to block out other random noises. The best thing is that it actually plays constantly without stopping, so I don't wake up due to any sudden silence from my device. Excellent app. Thanks!

Great app for canceling out background noise. Where I stay is typically quite but at around the same time every day I think a kid that is getting home from school downstairs starts to jam a radio. The noise is not outrageous but if I am doing something productive like writing or reading the bass undertones are annoying. I put this app on airplane interior and it works amazing. It is effective enough to drown out the bass downstairs and calm enough not to disturb my thoughts when I'm writing.

This is the first time I have been able to sleep for years! A loud buzzing, large washing machine sound, and now crickets have started for two months. I use the airplane sound, which takes it all away. Then, at 5:45am, our son's two alarms periodically goes off until he gets up in 1.5 hours. Thinking about work and home situations are stressing and hard to go and stay asleep. Last night was my first good sleep with the airplane sound.
