  1. Amanda Wilkens-avatar

I love this app so much. I got it as a replacement for wunderground after it became awful. It doesn't really replace a traditional weather app but it has amazingly cool graphs and maps for anything you might want--cloud cover, temperature, humidity, etc and now sunrise and sunset too. It is fun to check and to be able to see weather patterns!!

  2. Robert Chase-avatar

The graphs are nice, though a bit small -- it would be nice to be able to change the forcast period. The app's interface and graphics are fine, but when the actual temperature is 6 degrees Celsius higher than that shown in the app, there is a problem. P.S. (replying to developer's response): "Flowx shows the raw data from weather simulations. Not current conditions. [sic]" -- I'm looking at the app right now; directly above the map appears a line with the current time followed by an icon of a thermometer and a temperature (3 degrees Celsius cooler than it actually is). I don't expect weather simulations to predict the temperature with great accuracy, but aren't they updated with current conditions? If the app is not intended to display current weather conditions, it would make sense to remove the line in the display which appears to show them and let people note the discrepancy from the graph rather than putting a number on it.

  3. Roberto Neagu-avatar

One of the (few?) apps that gives you the data - all data - and the power to use it in one place. Great example of someone who understands the goal and the role, and implements them right. Easy and intuitive: select the data, play the weather movie, use your imagination - you've got your forecast. ;) This is the big picture of weather models I was always looking for. Keep the great work going.

  4. Richard-avatar

This app has potential to be really great. My main problem is that the graphs are not big enough to be useful. I do like the main screen but there is no option to view the graphs at a reasonable size - everything is so small - perhaps double tap to enlarge a graph would make sense? Also the widget is broken its all stretched. All said and done I will leave it installed and check in to see if it can reach its potential.

  5. Kung Keo-avatar

I use this app quite often to determine when to go out to fly my drone, do photography or just planning a day out. It is a decent predictor for weather forecast. Developers providing regular updates and improvements. Thank you.

I came here because I was heart broken over losing dark sky....now I'm almost glad to see it go, because I wouldn't have found this otherwise! So far I love this app--such a relief to be able to plan trips, adventures, and weather dependent activities! Looking forward to future developments! Thanks for sharing this gem!

    gennadii.skk gennadii.skk

It's the best weather radar I ever used. Very accurate information always provided. With new option for Sun/Moon position - it become perfect. Widget also very good and useful - no need to enter application, everything on screen at one glance

  8. A Google user-avatar

Discovered Flowx after the Weatherpro update debacle. Flow just keeps getting better with each update and the recent addition of hourly charts for the global runs is just terrific and makes for a much smoother animation. Well done and thanks to developer for actually caring about the user experience.

  9. Bulent Coskun-avatar

This is the most detailed weather app I have used so far (I tried a lot). It takes time to get used to it's graph but it tells you everything. The only missing feature I guess is notification and local government weather warnings

  10. Paul Snow-avatar

I didnt really understand it at first, only took a day or two to get used it it...it's great!!!. The forecast and wind maps are great... It's very easy to use actually. Turning on the different layers... Thanks for such a great app.

  11. Clive Mills-Hicks-avatar

    Clive Mills-Hicks

Almost perfect! Amazing amount of info in one place, visualised very well. Only the pressure field visualisation disappointse for me - only the strongest pressure gradients/changes are communicated.

  12. Brad West-avatar

Love all of the straightforward and concise information at my fingertips. Looking forward to the custom improvements you mentioned in a reply to another comment. Keep up the good work.

  13. ADA HUZ-avatar

This app JUST makes sense! Design is flawless. Fast to use and no nonsense scrolling up and down. Hands down the best weather app for android. Kudos to a designer!

  14. Jack Dice-avatar

Brilliant weather app!! All the weather information you need..... on ONE PAGE!! Visual, graphical, and numeric data for the whole week... on the same page with interactive satellite images coordinated with graphical depictions and data numbers. On a small screen phone the numbers and icons are pretty small, especially the wind direction compass making it difficult to read the wind direction. Totally my "go-to" weather app....

  15. Scott Hagberg-avatar

I just discovered this app, and am thrilled. It will be a better replacement for my current app that is no longer effective. I love the customization capabilities (even in the free version) and the widget is useful, it displays so much weather information in a compact format. This is a great app for those that are weather fanatics. My one request would be for the widget to display the current temperature.

  16. Neil Judell-avatar

Was searching for a replacement for Dark Sky. WHY did I not know of this app before??? At first, I had zero clue what the graphs meant, but then finally found the "HELP" section, and 2 minutes later, I was in love with the data presentation. You guys got it SO right. Truly at-a-glance for temperature, wind, precipitation, sun. I bought a gold subscription just to support the developers, and discovered way more. Sure, I want to know what the weather is at home and where I may travel - but most of my work is in undersea acoustics. Now, I can know the wind and wave conditions in my experiment areas. GREAT job, guys!

  17. Brian Busemeyer-avatar

    Brian Busemeyer

I came to this app after being frustrated with all the other apps being poorly organized/saturated by ads. I hate tables of numbers and having to click around a lot. This app is perfect, gives simple minimal yet informative plots of weather data and no intrusive ads (are there ads at all?). Cheers to the developer!

  18. Mark-avatar

This has been a great replacement for Dark Sky. Took me a few minutes to see this app's potential, and thus I upgraded to Pro Version. To address two complaints I've read: difficult to learn and inaccurate weather. UI is quite intuitive and takes about 10-15 minutes to customize to my liking. Weather was accurate down to a few minutes. As a Silver Sub the features and customization are extensive, weather is accurate and learning curve is pretty simple. Excellent app. Highly recommend.

  19. James Mead-avatar

Wonderful weather app and widget. After Dark Sky left Android, I downloaded 6 or 7 top rated apps to try and find a replacement. In my opinion, this app is by far the best, even better than Dark Sky. If I could make one suggestion... consider adding sun rise and sun set indicators, colored lines perhaps, as an option in the graphic editor.

  20. Sergio Magliulo-avatar

    Sergio Magliulo

The more I use it the more I like it. The infographic is excellent. This is a unique app. Congrats

  21. Tim Augustin-avatar

I'm another DarkSky refugee (having gone to DS this year after WU trashed their app...). I also use Windy. Of those three, this is the toughest to get into... definitely not the app you'd use to get a quick and easy forecast. But if you want a deep dive into a ton of data with a great deal of customization, this is the app for you. I do wish there was an option for accumulated precipitation by day (maybe there is, again, lots to chew on). I bought gold for the extra options and to support devs.

  22. Yousef Salimpour-avatar

    Yousef Salimpour

At first it might look a bit confusing but when you get to know it you will be amazed how much information you are easily getting in one page. I consider this to be the best weather app I've ever used and I'm very pleased that I gave it a try. After what happened with DarkSky I was reluctant to rush into paying for another subscription but I think what I've got already deserves a payment. Amazing job!

  23. Stephen Thoms-avatar

Love this weather app. It is technical and you need to put in the effort to learn what it can give you. And it gives you everything. The forum is a great help. Appreciate the business model as it is substantiable. Nothing worse than finding a great app that disappears because of a poor business pricing plan. And yes Duane I was using Weather Timeline. a great developer but poor business model. Love the new Dark Sky theme.

  24. Cameron Craig-avatar

Awesome product that gives you access to a number of global models. Recommended if you're a weather neard.

  25. Philip Fowler-avatar

This has been an amazing app. Truly well done. It was something that I used daily. I had the silver subscription which included several models. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that even though I have a subscription, now I have to pay more to get the same models that I was getting before. Why did I pay for a subscription with the promised models only to have them removed after I had paid. Very disgruntled about this.

  26. Derin K-avatar

Really useful meteogram that is missing two things : 1) the temperature Y axis is not clearly labeled. Maybe add horizontal lines for each 5 degrees and have the number clearly on the middle of the line to the right. 2) For the widget, it would be great if it showed the current conditions in a box to the right. Temperature large, smaller wind and precipitation maybs.

  27. Dave V-avatar

Using the Pro option. Gives me long range forecast for planning activity that gets increasingly accurate as time frame shortens. I use 3 different forecast models, with the HRRR really nailing it down short term. Graphs give you a quick yet obvious outlook in one place, with timing of events forefront. Well worth the yearly cost to me.

  28. Alex-avatar

Pretty, but horrible forecasts. I look at flowx, it says a little rain in the morning. Wunderground shows a heavy storm later in the afternoon. Flowx ends up being completely wrong and wunderground correct. Repeat daily. Looking for an alternative to wunderground now that IBM has screwed it up. This isn't the alternative.

  29. Johnny Jones-avatar

Great weather app - my first go to for the weather. Most Popular apps have really rudimentary radars built in and basic descriptions of the days e.g. sunny with cloudy periods - not flow.x. This app has helped me plan my weekends by seeing exactly what weather is headed our way. Upgraded to a pro subscription to sorry the dev as it's so useful.

  30. John Hoit-avatar

Gave up on this mess. I've spent way too much time trying to get the map readable. The overlays obscure the map so I can't see where it's at. Yes, I played with the transparency settings but nothing really worked. I even paid for full benefits, big mistake.

  31. John Mark Wildenthal-avatar

    John Mark Wildenthal

The BEST forecast app. See the forecast for any combination of attributes you choose - clouds, precipitation, wind speed, wind direction, humidity, temperature. Responsive developer.

  32. Alex Shimberg-avatar

Excellent user interface app, with a few flaws. Auto-refresh seems isn't working. Main Info panel text font should be larger, like 2 or 3 times larger. Besides those issues, it's the best weather app around!

  33. Bryan Valdez-avatar

Wow, this is a handy app for amateur forecasters! Bravo!

  34. seeking stillness-avatar

    seeking stillness

Great widget and great animation for app. Let's me plan my mountain biking activities. Nice work! I don't care for the temperature deltas and wish those could be removed.

  35. vonda yarberry-avatar

Great for cross country road trips or any kind of travel!

  36. Jim Bonomo-avatar

This is pretty cool app Is there a legend for how to read all of the curves on the charts? The shades of blue & red and the yellow & gray.

  37. Jay Smith-avatar

Looks cool, but keeps using battery no matter what, so I had to uninstall.

  38. Jax Burton-avatar

Exceptional!! By far the best weather radar map! It's always spot on!

  39. Travis Sherwood-avatar

    Travis Sherwood

Fantastic range of data, details, organization, and customization!

  40. Seti G-avatar

Fresh app. Great layout full of useful info. Having used many weather apps feel dumb down, this one is not.

  41. Grizwold Phantasia-avatar

    Grizwold Phantasia

An incredible job of packing a lot of useful information in a small space and keeping it readable.

  42. Clifton Lin-avatar

Uses much less accurate weather servers than weather underground. Pouring rain right now and app doesn't show it. Nice widget though.

  43. Steven Archibald-avatar

    Steven Archibald

Looks like a great replacement for dark sky. I hope we can get hyper forecast and notifications.

  44. Anthony Timson-avatar

Excellent app for viewing weather models. Would pay a (bigger) premium to have UK Met Office on there too.

  45. Keith-avatar

Great app that is really easy to scroll through the forecast for the preceding days and see this graphically displaying chosen data

  46. Ed Myer-avatar

Brilliant weather app. Appreciate how much work has gone into it. Definitely one of the best.

  47. Dilip Choudhary-avatar

    Dilip Choudhary

Very nice weather aap real time data I like your weather report this is very most accurate weather is flowx weather map

  48. Johnnie Duece-avatar

Lol, the changelog says welcome to our darksky friends. Outstanding, hopefully this app won't sellout also. (Edit:) Hey I'm all for developers supporting both ecosystems, Duane. Hopefully you'll get some good feedback from your "new" community members. Peace

  49. Andrew Kent-avatar

Coming from the once-great now-disgraced Wunderground app, Flowx is exactly the replacement I was looking for. ALL the data you could possibly want! I'm glad to pay $20/yr in the hopes that the dev keeps the app in its current FANTASTIC state. Dear dev: please don't muck it up trying to "improve" it like so many other failed weather apps! It's perfect!

  50. Knuckles None-avatar

I've tried many weather apps and this is by far the best I've used! All other apps are very much the same as each other. This app takes viewing weather patterns and forecasting to a new level. Also, this app helps educate as well.

  51. Celeste Stout-avatar

Excellent for weather geeks, sailors, pilots, coastal and offshore fishermen. The models give you wind and wave directions ahead for several days. Much better than standard weather apps. It is a very different take on weather prediction.

  52. Amanullah Assadi-avatar

    Amanullah Assadi

It is very useful to forecast weather.

  53. David Parks-avatar

Incredible view, overlays, and UX, and all the data I want. I just wish I could set it to look at only today, panning through a the afternoon hours today is far too sensitive when the entire week is displayed. I wish I could set it to just display The next 24hrs.

  54. Mark Gallagher-avatar

Great app, but difficult to download.

  55. Sean Drew-avatar

    Great for planning trips.

  56. Marshall Fread-avatar

If you watch your local weather all most of them will only give you temperatures and chance of precipitation but they're terrible at using a surface features map. Basically, they're not good at giving you the story for the week: cool front, warm fronts, wind gradients etc. Flowx gives you all that power at your finger tips. You'll find that you understand the weather for the week better than what's presented on TV. Buy Flowx!

  57. Tim Wood-avatar

It's an interesting and original take on weather. However, without ads, I'm curious what the business model is. It is striking that it does know where I'm located (presumably by ip location) when it doesn't ask for permission to use location data. A FAQ entry addressing these questions would be reassuring.

  58. Guru Dave Bronx-avatar

    Guru Dave Bronx

Awesome weather analysis, brilliant display of complex info, flexible ways to view patterns. Beautiful, too. Best of all, very accurate prediction.

  59. Nat Phillips-avatar

I've really come to depend on this app. It's enjoyable and challenging to visually have access to so much data, so quickly, and be able to evaluate and draw your own conclusions from it. Having the graphical context of various models, instead of just a plain forecast, is eye opening.

  60. Christopher Marini-avatar

    Christopher Marini

By far the best weather app if you are an engineer who needs detailed weather information for their job or if you are someone who likes as much information as possible to draw your own conclusions. I appreciate how smooth the app is and how user-friendly the user interface is.

  61. Sean Neves-avatar

The best satellite modeler. Multiple Data set selection and time scrolling (with your thumb scroll back and forth while the satellite model animates). That feature alone for a seven day forecast is incredible. Perfect. No add garbage. Dont mess with the other garbage ripoff apps.

  62. Tony Richardson-avatar

    Tony Richardson

This app is the best world weather app I have found for android - and I have tried and paid for many. You can customise it to suit yourself. Animations look really great. It is well worth paying for the bronze version which enables the customisation.

  63. Alan Barrett-avatar

One of the best user interfaces for a weather app. The free version is good enough (not crippled like many other apps), but I decided to get a paid subscription for slightly more features.

  64. Josh George-avatar

Recently left underground weather due to new UI, and found this app is even superior to the original underground weather. This app shows exactly what I need in a way that is easy to quickly understand.

  65. Elias Daoud-avatar

Wonderful application, thanks. But I notice in my first 5 days with the app, that the actual temperature is less by 2 degree Celsius from the indicated one at the ssme time.

  66. Theresa South-avatar

I have to say this is the best weather app I've found so far after trying about every other weather app.. another good app is 1weather so don't waste your time on any other apps..

  67. Jeremy Smith-avatar

By far the most efficient, effective and information rich weather app available today! Very well designed!

  68. Ben O'Brien-avatar

Neess way to crawl through time slower so I can check soon from now without hopping around days. Needs way to set location to here so I can rapidly see the map for the current random job site I'm on.

  69. Zach Heise-avatar

This is THE weather app I've always wanted! Customizable data visualizations. Hands down the best weather app for data fiends!

  70. William Douglas-avatar

    William Douglas

An excellent program to help you to predict the weather yourself. Best used with a more detailed weather app.

  71. Nic Swyer-avatar

Great app. Just wish I could give you a one time payment for pro instead of subscription..

  72. Robert Kramer-avatar

Very accurate! Best forecast tool I've ever seen (and I'm old)

  73. Mirz Moma-avatar

Amazing app. Swipe and the weather map animates. Data presented clearly. Stunning graphics and uncanny accuracy. ❤️❤️❤️

  74. Jimmy Zöger-avatar

Excellent. Beautiful and informative. Easy to use. Great job!

  75. G Legar-avatar

In the description it says there are 6 data sources in the free version...I can only choose from 2. 🤔 What is happening? Oh...what a professional answer. Thx 🤦🏼‍♂️

  76. David Turin-avatar

Very nice UX. Please add air quality.

  77. AhmadReza Rabiei-avatar

    AhmadReza Rabiei

    Great graphics is very good

  78. Errol East-avatar

Accurate and excellent, with superb visuals and data

  79. Alex Fusco-avatar

What happened to the Cape graph? It used to be there and now it is gone.

  80. Elie Haykal-avatar

I have been using this app for quite sometime. Solid and slick experience. Keep up the good work.

  81. Adam Foster-avatar

This is another weather app which is not worth downloading

  82. Warren Beedle-avatar

    Great!! Current and forecasting overlays

  83. Ryan Smith-avatar

This app cannot connect to internet, even when every other similar app can. With perfect WiFi and perfect 4G connections, even from two different companies, it could not connect. Every other app worked perfectly. Update: The developer responded to my review by saying that he or she has given up. This reinforces reason for a 1-star review, but I will happily improve my rating if the app works better in the future. I have revised my past review from 1 to 2 stars, and I imagine that internet connection issues have been addressed. However, as Enzure Digital Weather App ("Flowx: Weather Map Forecast") said in its reply about itself: "It sucks."

  84. Tom Smith-avatar

    Impressive app. Refreshingly technical.

  85. Q-avatar

This app is PERFECT absolutely PERFECT👍

  86. Michael Mancino-avatar

    Michael Mancino

Worked ok for about 4 days, then just won't display any data. In sitting in a thunderstorm and it thinks all's well and clear.

  87. Adrian Skar-avatar

Just what a weather app should be.

  88. Linden Turner-avatar

Surpasses all other weather apps I've seen by far! Very simple to use, no annoying adds and so much more detail and functionality. It makes it possible to predict the weather for yourself more accurately. Well done guys! It is typical that something so well made comes out of New Zealand.

  89. Peter Sherwin-avatar

This is one of the most beautiful and accurate radar maps available in the UK. I lived in the US for over 30 years, and in that time I watched the Doppler Radar systems develop into truly outstanding systems, where even a casual weather enthusiast could see and understand what was going on. Sadly that technology does not exist in the UK to the same level of excellence, but Flowx is a very beautifully designed application that allows you to move the radar forward and backward, determining with the best precision available in the UK if it is going to rain or snow where you are looking. You have the ability to add multiple cities, even in different countries or continents. Overall I give the application 5 stars for its beautifully designed GUI (Graphical User Interface) and its beautiful display of weather radar.

  90. Brandon Guttersohn-avatar

    Brandon Guttersohn

This is how data should be presented! It's great. I needed the FAQ to understand how to interpret the temperature graph, but now that I know, I don't think I could do without it. Perfect replacement for the now-dead Weather Underground app.

  91. Landon G-avatar

Great app! Just wish I could change the hurricane forecast model. Spaghetti models would be nice too. I use this app a lot for tracking hurricanes and storms. If im not mistaken it seems the model (data source) used is GFS. It would be great to be able to also switch to the ecmwf model. Similar to what windy app offers. Thanks for listening

  92. Ron J-avatar

This is the Weather App I have been waiting for, however... this is not the one the casual user goes to for a weather forecast. There are plenty of good apps for that. For the weather enthusiast, Flowx is the one! It takes a while to setup so the charts display correctly so they are clear, in the units you want. The display is fully customizable and accurate. Free version shows a week. Paid version 10 days. Will not work on Android 4, fine on 6,7 & 8. This is my go-to WX app now.

  93. Kevin Keeffe-avatar

Very cool graphic depiction of weather pattern. Really like wind map, and that I can easily look back at the previous half day's stats. I only wish it would be easier to move around geographically on map. To recenter on a different location it appears one must go in and change the city in settings. Certainly not a big deal and maybe there's a good reason for it in such a robust application. Best weather app out there for those who really like to dive in . Five stars plus!

I could stare at the maps for hours! I like that you can choose different "layers." I didn't know enough about weather to know how easy it is to spot big storms around the world with a map of the air pressure -- it's even visually cleaner than the rain map. I also like that I can hide layers when I only care about rain. Q: What are the 3 different icons in the top right of the area where the temp is graphed? And the pick and blue shading on the graph? Wind-chill? Q: Is there humidity info?

Awesome weather app, Duane, finally! I took Meteorology in college & then again, when I went for my pilot's license. You cover it all! I love the colors, I love the animation & the smooth progression thru time. You may want to make a short 5-min. video to show what you can do with this app. That will let people know what's possible in it. I like ur promo, but something that shows steps—how you get there, for people that aren't adventurous & wouldn't know what do do next, would be very helpful.

Added a star for the insanely fast response. I am critical of some features (or lack of features) of the app. I'm betting this app has some hardcore followers/users. It's definitely unique and stands out from any other in the category..might be too unique. Unfortunately people have a hard time when things are different.. sadly, in this case, I fall into that area. My hats off to the dev(s) for this unicorn of an app :))

Its a shame tiles don't always build fully. This app would have been a good source of initial indicators before doing deep analysis using individual data sources, but missing tiles just doesnt make the app viable. Also pro subcription is a little vague and doesnt say if we would get to choose sources like Arpegé, Hirlam etc which is quite important when High resolution is a must! This app may suite those who are taking an interest in forecasting but needs further testing to make it a viable quick inquiry source for forecasters.

11/10 app, well made and stable. Has exactly the information I need plus it allows chart customization, love it. I use it daily to know if a storm is coming or whether the day will be sunny, etc. I also check it regularly throughout the day. Since weather data is dependent on a third party I won't comment on it. I can't overstate how useful this app has been for me and I'm really thankful it's free. There's a premium mode with different tiers but I've never tried it.

I love the information rich displays. Everything in a single view. No need to drill down different layers to get to what you want. One request, dew point!

Love it. Great graphs and maps. Finally what I was looking for. If you want a really nice and high quality map that is highly customizable with supporting graphs, this is the one. Especially if you enjoy scrubbing through the animation. I finally feel like I'm getting the full picture of the weather, especially the rain. The only way it could be improved if you explained the graph key better. I had to work out the humidity symbol because it looked like rain, it is a little non intuitive.
