we have just installed the Wavecast Audio receiver connected to a data point in our church. This was an attempt to improve hearing for persons who use hearing aids. So far I am VERY disappointed with the system because there is a delay between the person speaking and the signal transmitted to your hearing aids. The tech support person I spoke with at Williams Sound told me that, "Yes, there is a delay (approximately .5 seconds) and that there is no solution to fix the delay." This makes the signal have an "echo" and essentially renders the system unusable. None of this was mentioned in the information supplied with the system. We have spent significant money and time to install this system, and I doubt that it will be used by any parishioners. So far.....I cannot recommend this system. For our church it is a fail.

Testing to see if this would be feasible to make lectures more accessible. I like the peer to peer principal be as this should lower latency. However the app can't find the wavecast 5d, either this android or the iPhone version. I have followed willamsav network guide and opened ports 3000-3303 in both directions between guest WiFi and the wavecast. Then opened all IP protocols still does not show even after a reboot. Can't see where the app goes to discover the server. Server as full internet.

I am beginning an evaluation of the WaveCAST system for my university. While I do not have the WF-T5-D running yet, I have found that the product support link in the Help/Info section of the app goes to a Page Not Found (404) error on the Williams Sound web site. I tried to send this comment to the developer listed, but my email was rejected by the receiving mail system. Why add an email that no one can use to a public web site? So far, my evaluation is not good. I'll revise my evaluation as I learn more.

The wave cast app works great, as long as you are connected to the box and network! Good to know...
