CAN IT RUN DOOM?! No, but it can play DOOM Music. Fun Fact: The internal soundfont in this app is the exact same as the soundfont used in the Unity version of TNT: Evilution. I genuinely enjoy the MIDI version of the DOOM, DOOM II, and TNT soundtracks, even outside of the SC-55 soundfont. Samsung Music doesn't give me the luxury to switch soundfonts, so I'm stuck with garbage on that. This? Soundfonts. Emulated Ad-Lib card. Amazing.

It's pretty good. It does what it's supposed to do. I wish it supported midi bank 0 (GS) though. And the soundfont it comes with doesn't support the full scale of notes for certain instruments, which kinda sucks when someone has used baritone sax in the bass clef but the midi player can't play those notes. GS support would be amazing, as would routing the midi signal to an external midi interface like fluidsynth

Pretty good app. I still can't figure out how to point it to my micro SD card as the "MIDI root", but that's no fault of the developer. Otherwise, configuration was quite simple. I particularly appreciate the built-in ability to download a few SoundFonts. It saves some trouble, while still allowing one to use any SoundFont he desires.

I am just thrilled to play my old collection of Japanese Midi files again, which I collected on various Japanese musician sites years ago. They sound great. I'll bet they will sound even better with the equalizer, so maybe I will buy the Pro version.

Works good most of the time, but for some reason a MIDI rip of Azure Lake from Sonic and Knuckles Collection is completely missing its organ track (a crucial part of the song's sound) when played through here? It's a bizarre bug that may impact other songs as well (all default settings). | Edit: an external soundfont (FluidR3 in my case) doesn't have this issue. The internal soundfont may be missing the instrument?

This is mostly perfect for my use, the only thing missing is the ability to add entire folders to an already-playing queue (as of version 1.6.34 you have to add individual files to the queue if you want files from multiple folders in the queue, which is an arduous task when you have multiple folders to go through since one badly-aimed tap clobbers the entire queue with the folder you're currently browsing)

It works good and so far after a day pop up ads don't seem to disturb my phone operation. (?)

Wow great sound fonts, I didn't know they existed before now, but I feel like all my nostalgic video game midi got a remaster

Over all, I think it's a good midi player. I was able to use third party soundfonts no problem. My one comlaint is that if I am playing a file that is down several levels from the root directory, I have to navigate back to the root directory before I can access the menu and change the soundfont, for instance. For that, I'm not willing to pay for the $3 upgrade.

Got back into making midi music and collaborate with my bro. Sometimes, I'm away from a computer and have no way to listen to his latest composition. Having this app on my phone allows me to do that on the go. The only thing that would've made it a full 5 stars is if it had a way to edit midi files. Otherwise, cool app!
