This is not a stand-alone application. Do not install it, if you are not a user of our @Voice Aloud Reader app, as otherwise it will not do anything useful for you.
This plugin is necessary to use "Add from Google Drive" function on the Reading List menu of the main @Voice Aloud Reader app version 9.8.0 or higher. It has the necessary permissions and code to let you login with Google and download the files from your Google Drive storage.
Why a separate plugin? Mostly because of user paranoia - syncing with Google Drive requires user identity through contacts access right for an app. Otherwise its impossible to login to Google Drive. However, many users complained when I added the identity/contacts permission to the main @Voice app, thinking I would by "spying on them". Therefore the main app does not need this permission any more.

Kind of amazing, it just works. Simple and intuitive, does what it's supposed to do. Content goes through from different locations with few glitches. It does have additional settings options that I don't change because it's already working for me. I like that it highlights the text as it reads. Easy to control things like the way it advances or goes back- by sentences or paragraphs for example. It automatically snips out headers on PDFs. Switches languages automatically.

I really love this app and plugin, but the plugin stopped working about a week ago. It no longer accesses new articles in my @Voice Google Drive folder. I now must go to my Google Drive app, download the file to my phone, and then navigate to the file on my phone to add it to my @Voice library manually. Is anyone else experiencing problems with the plugin? Using a Pixel 2 phone, with Android 9.

The only thing I don't like is it has to be installed indivdually on each browser. If you use more than one it doesn't transfer to the 2nd one. Other than that perfect

Send to work well but it is always running in the background. Can you please change so that it only runs when @voice is launched and running? It should then close when@voice is shutdown (after it finishes syncing). It would be nice if this was customizable in the program if there is disagreement in how this should work on our phones.

This plugin stopped working last year and has not been fixed. To be more accurate, the chrome plugin works fine to add a URL to a Google Drive folder. However, the main @voice app on Android is unable to connect with Google Drive. GD probably changed something, but this dev has not updated the app to work with that change.

Nice feature but you must first move or copy files to a new subfolder created on your gDrive thats desigated for sole access by @Voice audio reader apps. Needs to be revised so you can fetch content from any extant source already set up to store data on that same Cloud storage domain. Yet one more drawback is having to use this addon a few times to select content before it can even function properly from then on.

Clear & Boldly Advertised, as Non Needed. If the app doesn't help syncing Google Drive There's no use for creating this plugin. Perhaps adding more options, that are useful. Include additional settings, features & options. Preferably, try add-ons within the app itself, or helpfully assist settings & features.

Hi, is there some way to access synced @Voice files via Google Drive directly? A synced html-document got accidentally deleted from my only Android device, and I thought I could just go to my GDrive and find it stored there somewhere... The log shows it should be there with my other synced articles and books, but I can't find a back-up file/folder or anything like that in my Google Drive account. Can you give a pointer where these files are stored?

I've been using it since its launch and it has done what it's supposed to do — syncing with Google Drive. If ever a problem popped up, the developer was smart enough to address it quickly.

It looks like a good app but the Google Drive synchronization portion of it simply does not work because it does not connect to Google Drive and cannot find the folder that it needs to find and it is broken in that respect. However in other respects it looks good.
