Previously the vr70, now it's height is a joke, at 165 foot limit, the camera truly sucks, ( didn't you guys have something there once ?) Added bells and whistles, gps ( nice, once you get it figured out) but I liked the movable cam from the 70. Mine was killed when a message came in on 4g and over rode the vivitar app. Don't waste your cash!

Figured out a trick to get it to work. Like a lot of people on here, I couldn't get the drone to connect with my phone in the app. Very frustrating. Go into WIFI on phone, tell it to forget the drone's WIFI connection. Next time you connect to the drone WIFI wait for the no internet message to pop up but this time do not check the box to "never as me again". You will have to do this every time you connect but you will be able to use the drone like you want.

Idk how much of it actually works because there is ZERO instructions on how to use the gps waypoints, (how to use the gps at all for that matyer), how to put the drone in and out of gps mode, nothing at all in either the owner's manual (which is TERRIBLE) or on the app of how to use this drone. Nothing on their website and only 2 totally useless youtube videos from vivitar. So does this app work? No one knows, because no one knows how to fully use it.I do know that satellite view for the gps map doesn't work. That the gps accuracy check doesn't work. Tell people how to use your drone's features.

This app used to work great but then about 2 months ago it quit working. It won't open anymore. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it 3 times. I've contacted the creator and Vivitar. Only Vivitar responded and they said they would work on it and get back to me. I haven't heard anything else since. It's really unfortunate because the drone works great and the app no longer does and they don't seem to know why.

This app was not working from the startup. I called support which I tried talking to someone that I could not even understand to finally get told that the app was being worked on and it might take 3-4 days. Now its day 4 and still no app. I can still fly but taking a risk of losing the $200 I paid for the drone because they are only selling part of the product.

I think this app works great for the drone. For the people that do not know how to connect to the drone, turn on the drone then go to your WiFi settings on your device and then you connect to it WiFi. Then you sould get a notification or if not then go to your settings again and then see if it says "This WiFi has no internet connection would you like to stay connected" or something in the line of that. Then press yes and go into the app and your set! You can learn the controls pretty easy they also have it were you can control the drone from your phone!

A forum would help on the learning curve. emergency off button combo saved my bacon on attempted indoor flight. My Droid was not fond of the wireless connection to drone w/ no internet. The order you turn on stuff matters:. i connected the phone first and then could not add remote. The drone survived this learning curve, Headless mode helped my first flights.

I've been flying r/c heli's for 20 years and I wanted to fly a drone, so bought the Aeroview yesterday and not only does the app not work, but the return home doesn't work either! It goes crazy like it's hunting for home so I had to land it manually and wont shut down after landing. I called Vivitar about the app and they said they just found out about the problem "yesterday" and that it will be fixed this Tuesday. Needless to say, this garbage is being returned for a refund!

Awesome app and the drone works amazingly especially for the price I would absolutely recommend it to friends. For those who can't figure out how to connect the drone to the WiFi you probably don't need to have one anyways of that's the case because my 9 year old had it connected and flying with ease in less than 3 minutes and that's including calibration of all it's features. It's very simple and instructions are in the thing called the owner's manual which is supplied with the machine
