What is the point of having security cameras if you can't play the footage? I get the "DVR Unavailable" error nearly every time I try to view video which makes this feature virtually useless. Additionally, I will get alerts that my front door is unlocked or that my garage door is open. When I try to lock the door or put down the garage, I will get an error message. Then, when I run home to check to see, I find the garage door down and the front door securely locked.

Not sure what happened?! First couple of weeks were perfect then all of a sudden the app was unavailable for hours. I was unable to access it through the app if I was away from home. Then videos were not able to be played, at all. The camera was not available at the most important times of the day/night. There is a reason why I got a door bell camera and this one has proven to be a huge disappointment because of the app! It is extremely unreliable. I'm ready to change companies.

Overall I'm happy with the system and it's ability to integrate with smart devices. The customer support has been helpful and polite every time I call them. THE APP THOUGH It crashes all the ****ing time. For a product who's main attraction is a higher level of smart tech than the competitors, the app is inexcusably buggy. Arming and disarming the system works immediately from the app, but it will not tell you the state until you close and reopen it. It crashes when you look at 2 cameras, etc

Update of Previous Review. I couldn't edit my previous review so I'm adding a new one. I'm glad to report the "Live" video feature is working again in the app! That feature was one of the main reasons for getting Vivint, so I'm glad it's working again. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is simply because it took too long to fix the feature in the first place. It was down for months! I had seriously been considering switch to ADT or something. Glad I won't have to.

Very buggy app, terrible service. I've had Vivint for a few years now and honestly it's been an overall pretty bad experience. I regret getting the service, I would suggest anyone to just buy the equipment themselves from a hardware store and monitor it that way. The phone service is always someone who has astoundingly little experience with vivint and then does not complete what you asked them to do (try to buy out your equipmemt). I could go on and on about the things vivnt has messed up

I have top tier internet connection and accessing cameras, switching from camera to camera, zooming, etc there is significant amount of lag. Also just getting to arm/disarm via app takes significant amount of time. I getting tired of the dial up like speeds of this app and now today it crashed and has been down for about an hour. Seriously what am I paying vivint for? Premium fee for dial up speed?!

App crashes all the time. This time it crashed and will not open again. Uninstalled/reinstalled, will not take password, will not allow password reset. Takes forever just to load to the sign in screen. I was literally looking at my security cameras when it crashed this time. Now I have guys walking around the outside of my house and have no use of my security cameras🙃 thanks Vivint.

My account has been reactivated for 2 and a half weeks and neither customer service or their tech department seems know why my app doesn't work or why I'm unable to log in online. In addition, when an alert or alarm goes off, the app seems to stall. By the time the app allows you to see anything the disturbance is gone or it's too late. This company take so accountability for your security and after providing bad service they have the audacity to send you referrals emails.

stick so often .keep loading loading loading constantly !! 11.11.21 This thing thing is so annoying , it now reaches the point where if my phone is not in use at the moment " meaning it's lock and in my pocket " I will not get any notification until I literally open and load the app . Very much desopointed . I upgraded my phone and and all of a sudden I am not getting any notifications.

I sure hope you never need to use this app in an emergency because by the time it actually loads you'll already be dead. Loading times and connection times to cameras are absolutely atrocious, and that's if they even load at all instead of the app just closing itself or crashing. Absolutely unacceptable for a home security app. To make matters worse, there's not even a home computer desktop app for constant connection and monitoring of your own cameras.
