Good start and could become a great mobile browser. Two things I'm noticing that need improvement: - Currently uses 60hz refresh rate even if your phone is capable of higher (OnePlus 7 Pro - 90hz). This isn't an issue on Chrome. - "New Tab" shortcuts not available on homescreen. Also would be nice to have the ability to long-press the "tabs" button and have a menu pop up with "New Tab", "New Incognito Tab", etc. like the new versions of Chrome (Android). - True full-screen mode (immersive) would be a nice option

This is incredible! I already use it for my laptop and now it's on Android! It would be really cool if you could add chrome browser extensions as an option for mobile just like the desktop. Tab Sessions are great too and would be really cool with mobile. Nonetheless, can't wait to see what you do with it. It's only Beta...

Switched to vivaldi from opera on pc and its been great. On android however, not so much. Lack of customization options (cannot switch tabs to top, cannot close tab by sliding up/down) , adblock is pretty weak and leaves a gap. I will be staying on opera on my phone for now. But hopefully this browser will improve so i can use it as my daily browser on both pc and phone.

So far so good. It work perfectly and seems pretty snappy. Couple of features that I'm looking forward to seeing are customisable search engines (like the desktop app) and a way of making website appear in dark mode (currently I use an extension in the desktop app). Otherwise, I think it works and looks better than the other browsers out there I have tried.

(29/1/20) The problem of new tabs only opening as part of a group seems to have resolved after uninstalling and reinstalling. Please consider implementing customizations to help with one-handed use. With the new Edge, I can hold my phone in one hand, use my thumb to swipe up an options drawer, and access several important functions from there. For Vivaldi, I have to use a second finger to tap the V in the top right corner- not convenient when my other hand is occupied. Also, extensions. Vivaldi Android has been in beta for a while. Good job so far, but people aren't willing to wait forever it to come out of beta and have the functions they want. For now, it still feels too much like Chrome to make it a standout.

Great overall. Obviously beta means that there are still work to do. The main problems I see right now are: 1. the huge speed dial icons/thumbnails. A mobile device doesn't need such big icons, three or four columns would be nice instead of two, to have easier access when there are many sites saved. 2. The arrangement of the menus/buttons need a lot of polish to be more comfortable and accessible. I never use the browser 'back' button, but I would like easier access to share or bookmark.

I have been using the desktop version for several years as my main browser. The sync function with the mobile app worked at the first attempt. Pages load faster in this app than in other browsers I have been using. I find it easy to use and the speed-dial and bookmarking functions are so much better than other mobile browsers. Only minus: Far more ads appear using this browser than in the others I had been using. Therefore 4 out of 5. Great for a beta version. Hope it keeps getting better.

Guys, a lot of improvements are required. Would love to use it as the main browser, but can't, sorry, needs integration with password managers (keepass, 1password, etc) - not usable without it. This is a major issue. Somewhat smaller issues: Needs dark mode. Back button shouldnt close tabs if there is no previous page to load - I can't tell you how many tabs I closed unintentionally. Needs speed dial in private mode. Needs to stay in private mode when closing last tab. Otherwise, very promising

I love this browser on my desktop and laptop, and the ability to edit the user interface and sync favorites is great, so I've been waiting for the Android version. With this Beta release there are a couple of minor issues, but even in its Beta form this is a great browser, without the concern of Google tracking every website visit. With the DuckDuckGo search engine, it's another tiny step in shutting the malevolent company out of my life.

Underwhelming, especially in comparison to Desktop Vivaldi. It's lacking in the extensive customization and tab management features of the Desktop browser, but lacks the more in-depth privacy features and Adblock of Brave. Its only defining feature is the ability to pull up tabs open on another device, as well as the- and the sync, assuming you already used Vivaldi on your PC, is the ONLY reason you'd use this. Since you're even looking at Vivaldi in the first place... Just use Brave Mobile.
