A great app that helps me out when I'm doing astrophotography. Really easy to use (although the time stamp is very sensitive). Great pictures when zoomed in. I really prefer this over another well known star app! Updated review March 2020. I still love this app!

  2. Angie Morley-avatar

full apk I'm going to have to uninstall this app. It's just so frustrating, trying to go back a page is impossible. Tapping all over the screen produces no 'go back or return' symbol.

  3. Egor Ivanov-avatar

star walk 2 night sky view and stargazing guide apk There is no language selection, seems app only allows to use OS language which is mauvais tone. No, the switch of OS language is not an option.

  4. julian howser-avatar

Really good the add-ons are really good not gonna lie noticed a change when I got them if you into interstellar space and stars would recommend getting

  5. Aftab Alam-avatar

It is an interesting and exciting way of learning about space. My child love this way of learning. Even now his favourite subject is astronomy. Thankful to this app.👍👍👍

  6. Jonathan Chamberlain-avatar

Beware. I bought this primarily for 2 of its advertised features: Star Spotter, which allows you to point your phone at the sky and get a live representation of the sky which moves with the phone, and Augmented Reality where the image from your camera will be overlaid with the app-generated sky, allowing you to know what is right above you. Neither of these features is available on my device, a) because it doesn't have a built in magnetometer in the hardware - a Moto G7 play running Android 9, and b) it seems the Augmented Reality function is only available on Apple devices. However, you don't find this out until you have purchased the app and its add-ons. Should be made clear before purchase that the two key features might not work on many devices. Apart from that, there are other issues. The map of the night sky is nice and updated in real time, however, many of the stars have little or no information about them, and clicking on information will only bring up a generic script telling you what a star is: thanks, I know already. Many of the deep space objects turn out to be poor blurred images when zoomed-in on.

  7. मयंक-avatar

Perfect if you are a fan of astronomy. The UI is seamless. The graphics is out of this world and very engaging. The amount of celestial bodies mentioned is mind boggling. You are search for an object in the sky where you are pointing your phone. It keeps you informed about latest astronomical events.

  8. Ryan Drouet-avatar

It's a good app but the controls could use some love. Time Warp for planning is less that accurate using the slider. Manual inputs would be much better.

  9. Matthew Heidenreich-avatar

    Matthew Heidenreich

It's pretty cool to see what you cant see..😁 And to identify what you're looking at and simply explore the sky. It's mind boggling the area of space and what lies within.

  10. Andrew Anzell-avatar

This app is a stargazing experience on your phone! So full of information and the graphics are beautifully done. For just a few dollars you get so much more additional content. The money they ask for is well earned, being that this app is so great and put together so well. The low volume music that is playing in the background is such a nice touch also. My accolades to the developer or developers! Post Script, the app has dark mode! Very, very cool.

  11. Douglas Beattie-avatar

Love this, as a beginner it is very easy and helpful. I bought a telescope, and I use this app to check if I get it right. And I have found stars quite easily with this. It also gives you alerts, about upcoming events, which is handy. And with it having a night setting, it does not dazzle your eyes. I would recommend this even for the experts. Been using it for a while now and I have not been disappointed in this app, would recommend this to anyone.

  12. BonJoy Swirl-avatar

I like this version even more than my previous one. I can't believe the graphics when I am looking at the real time interface. It is incredible to have such well thought details about the present and what to watch for in the coming days. I like the reminders to "look up." It's a user friendly interface. It's worth the price if you like astronomy. I've enjoyed this app for quite possibly 10 years give or take.

  13. X James-avatar

update: actually is the permission of displaying pop up window of the google play been restricted. there is nothing to do with network. hope add some notice to help user debug. previous: can't buy, connection error. I used the free one first, and I want to buy the extra content but fail to purchase. so I found this one and paid, however the extra content still need to pay and still connection error.

I only bought the upgrade to remove ads recently. I love the updates on celestial events and the music it plays when active. SW2 is educational and fun to use.

  15. Ed Vella-avatar

I have the in app product and cant seem to get it to work in real time. I dont know what I am doing wrong. I use a Galaxy 10 Ae phone. Star Walk 2

  16. Amr Elsayed-avatar

for some reason when i buy All-In-One Bundle i get all installed except "Planets Bundle" it stops at 10%, Tried to remove the app's data and reinstall but the same happens!

  17. Rajendra Kumar Shukla-avatar

    Rajendra Kumar Shukla

This is the most useless application of astronomy I have ever seen. It's the copy of the free edition. I have spent Rs. 200 for this useless application. I thought that it would already have the additional content but it's only a copy. It is having the same experience of the free edition with full of ads. Now, I need to purchase the additional content again. Maybe, my father will not allow to purchase the additional content again. I don't know that how many times it will waste my money. 👎🏻👹

  18. Yosef Hartstein-avatar

    Yosef Hartstein

Dope! Coolest app ever. No glitches. It works great. I showed it to my high school science students and they were fascinated by it.

  19. Geordie Jacques-avatar

    Geordie Jacques

Great app. Very handy to point your phone at a planet or star and get details of what you are looking at

  20. Scott Keep-avatar

Fantastic and very educational and really fun; there is so much information readily available.

  21. Dat Guy-avatar

Worth it. I tried many different stargazing apps and this one is by far the best one and I even bought the premium version

  22. Eliza Vlad-avatar

It's great, very intuitive and I managed to get all the features at a low price because of some sales they did. Totally worth it (even with the full price) and would recommend any time.

  23. Roger Gomez-avatar

After buying the app. First thing to appear was "Buy additional content." What BS! Would've paid 5.00, but hate it when it's just never the whole product or purchase. Regret it already!

  24. samuel smith-avatar

This app is amazing. It has my 6yr old asking and wanting to learn more about our understanding of the universe.

  25. A Google user-avatar

Very easy to use. Still learning but it is fun and easy to pickup.

  26. Joseph VLcek-avatar

Horrible UI is unintuitive. Accuracy is poor. Total wast

  31. Garrett Carton-avatar

Complex , just as astronomy is. Very informative but I am still feeling my way. There's a lot to take in. I like it.

  32. Kirk Steinbruegge-avatar

    Kirk Steinbruegge

Very useful app overall. Haven't found to many flaws yet.

  33. Paul R-avatar

When app opens I get a full page of advertising for other paid features. So by paying for this app I still get advertising! I want a refund!

  34. Mary Stein-avatar

Ridiculous amount of trackers built into the app. 2-4 times the number of trackers compared to other similar apps. Not respectful of user privacy.

  35. Jeroon Rijnders-avatar

    Jeroon Rijnders

Tracks accurately no matter if I'm home or in a different state

  36. Matthew Sandler-avatar

    Matthew Sandler

It would be nice if when setting the time, you could set it for the location you are viewing it for, and not the location you are in.

  37. Mark Holmes-avatar

Very great have had this a few years and it is very accurate for directions LOVE this app.

  38. Paul Yaz-avatar

I paid $2.99 for the app. But to properly use it, one is asked to pay another $2.99 for "Content". Too bad I can't return it for a refund.

  39. Alex Stjohn-avatar

Really great app, very lnformative. Thank you🌹

  40. Geoff Partridge-avatar

    Geoff Partridge

It's worth the price you pay and the add on apps that enhance the program are really great. I highly recommend this app for armature astronomers like myself. Very good for educating your children.

  41. M DP-avatar

Such a great app. Have had it installed for ages.

  42. Robbie Higgins-avatar

    Ghaith ALGHAITH

I love the information, but the phone calibration is not working

  44. Tim Dixon-avatar

Perfect to know what's going on around us, and where to point the telescope .

  45. Cameron McNaught-avatar

    Cameron McNaught

Buying the app but things like planets are "additional content". Feels really scummy and I'd gave just refunded for something else.

  46. Jon Scully-avatar

Great for finding two-star alignment objects!

  47. C.W. Voll-avatar

Very handy when looking at the night sky and not knowing what I'm looking at.

  48. Travista Carrington-avatar

    Travista Carrington

The best 🌟 gazing app out there. Invest in the paid version! It's worth it.

  49. Mark Turner-avatar

Very good informative. Easy to use.

  50. Don Harris-avatar

    NOT intuitive, but fairly compete.

  51. Mathew Wagner-avatar

Super useful astro app, anyone who uses it, will not be disappointed!!

  52. Paresh Surani-avatar

Once payment is done, this app asks for more payment of ₹ 200 for access of certain features. This is not good practice followed by app owner. I have put refund request immediately seeing message for additional charge of ₹ 200. Google should review such deceptive app and take stern action against this app owner.

  53. Michel Angelo-avatar

Time ago I bought the ad-free version for 4.99. I was curious about this app as well since it costs just 0.50 (black friday). I cannot spot any difference but one! they are trying to sell you a variety of add-on! without them this app is useless if you have already bought the ad-free version. I have just asked for a refund.

  54. Mick Antenna-avatar

I would live it but for some reason after trying it out I paid, thinking it's cool but I still get the upgrade notice

  55. Sara Czarapata-avatar

    Great app. Thanks!

  56. Dianna Quennoz-avatar

I love this app! Everyone I share it with does too.

  57. Shayne H-avatar

Stop with the BS notification Icon! Hate apps that display an Icon indicating a notification where there is none or where there is no way to tell how to turn the dam thing off! If a specific item needs to be "reviewed" to remove the notification flag that menu item should be indicated otherwise opening the app should turn off the notification.

  58. Agent Fleppy-avatar

I love this application It is the best

  59. Quu Quu-avatar

It's OK. Coming from Sky Guide this app has way less deep sky objects but it's still pretty good. For some reason you can't select or search for the (Large Magellanic Cloud) which is very strange as you can search for the Small Magellanic Cloud. Also a lot of the deep sky objects are poorly pasted into the app. Please make it look like it's actually supposed to be there instead of taking a screenshot and pasting into the app. (That Small Magellanic Cloud picture is horrible. Please use a better one) Last thing, I hate how when you zoom into a deep sky object and when you unselect it the whole object the whole thing magically disappears. Why? This app is only good if you want quick information on it. Don't expect to spend more then 10 minutes on it. Adrian

  60. Greg Jankowski-avatar

If you're looking to get into astronomy from nothing I couldn't recommend a better app

  61. Rex Banner-avatar

Even when I bought it, the ads for a premium version came up when I asked to view the andromeda galaxy. Not cool. Basically, buying this app doesn't mean you get to see all the stuff you want to see up close. You have to pay to see certain things, but you already thought you paid for it all. Google Sky is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better^1000. Dont buy this app. Banner, out.

  62. Tavionna Marshall-avatar

    Tavionna Marshall

It's ok but I'm not certain if its just me but when I try to gyro my phone with the app nothing happens.....I followed the instructions for this app to move and point my phone to the sky with no avail. Kinda disappointing for me...

  63. Mike Louis-avatar

A very nicely crafted app that, so far, has been glitch free. I'm glad I downloaded it and every evening I just have to take a look to see if anything interesting is going on up above. Yup, a keeper.

  64. Greg-avatar

Pleased to have this superb app. Beautiful graphics. Very informative and easy to navigate, great for learning where our stars are. Very useful for finding out what that thing is in the sky, that you're looking at.. It's a star, no it's a planet, it's a comet, (opens app and points toward object) nope it's just a satellite lol.

  65. Riff Remington-avatar

No worthwhile additions from the original, but now it has multiple levels of payment. The IAP is more expensive than the app itself, and it is clearly an arbitrary addition of what should already be included in the purchase price, in an effort to generate more revenue. It's like buying a car and having it delivered with no doors; there's an extra charge for those. It's not ok, even if you mention it in the details. You're not paying for an extra, you're paying something that should be included.

  66. Edgar Salgado-avatar

***Edit. If you have a Huawei brand smartphone, this app wont work. I would just avoid the headache. Beautiful graphics and information. Possibly the best looking and polished star app. Only thing wrong is the the compass flips the UI upside down when I turn 90 degrees to the left (pointing East). *** For those wondering how to turn on compass mode, just move your phone around and it will turn on on its own.

  67. Robert C-avatar

This is a very good application, I have no problems locating any planet at any time of day in the sky. I track the Sun and Moon for celetial photography with perfect accuracy. It's actually amazing how accurate this application is setup. I can spend the next few hours writing about the things I do with this application; so I just end with this... It is the perfect app for celestion observation. Hit the install button!!!

  68. Bishal Jaishwara-avatar

    Bishal Jaishwara

Please don't buy it, because you have to download additional file in app and it's cost 200₹.:That's mean app cost is (50₹+200₹)=250₹ total.

  69. Caleb D-avatar

Really cool app that does not accurately track location & direction. I have calibrated it tons of times and it is still a good bit off from where the stars and planets actually are, which kind of defeats the purpose... UPDATE: They updated the app and the tracking is much, much better. Still not perfect, but the fact that the devs are nice enough to respond to my issue and help with an update make we give them 5 stars regardless. Thanks for the customer service.

  70. Debabrata Mondal-avatar

    Debabrata Mondal

Great app... But still a long way to go..... I would love to see special incentives for the users, who already paid for all in-app-purchases; Like : The soundtrack of the SW2, etc Update: Please give space news in "What's New" section, for those who are living in Eastern Hemisphere....BTW, I am from India .... Thanks in advance....

  71. Eschaton_Thrice333-avatar

this app is awesome Beyond what I can think of writing to describe it... But as of late the compass system has got things all out of wack, as it shows the Earth basically being on a side rolling axis and the Sun passing underneath the globe during the day... yes i have checked my time and sensor calibration settings. Wondering if this is a developer bug or something on my end? will give 5 stars after answer comes back as I've been using the app happily for a while now. thanks guys

  72. Michal Košík-avatar

Really great app! Easy to navigate and full of extra information including mythological tales connected to individual constellations. One thing I'm missing is an option to switch the names of objects (mostly constellations) into another language or ideally to show both - the current name and the name in preferred language. Could you please add this feature? I can help you with Slovak and Czech names. Thanks!

  73. Runsheng He-avatar

Be careful before you buy the app. 1. Before you buy the app, it (the free one) keeps showing ads to remind the users that there is another app which has no ads. 2. After you buy it, it also keeps showing reminders to let the users give it a rate. It can not be closed, which is very annoying. The app didn't know what the users really need, it is more useless than those free apps.

  74. C0uch-avatar

Please update the information on the app. It is well known that the Opportunity rover has died on 13th feb already, yet it is still listed as "currently active". Not sure what else is inaccurate but it is worth investigating. Other than that, this application is absolutely beautiful. It's the first app ive ever bought and its well worth the buy. Highly recommended for any space enthusiast.

  75. Robert Cohen-avatar

Great app for stargazing. The constellation illustrations are handy as is the fact that you can change how they're drawn. I could do without the music but thats easily enough taken care of in tue settings menu. Love the news section about upcoming events. Paid the $3 for the additional content and happy I did.

  76. Bridget Leibinger-avatar

Very Well Done I downloaded the free version and was so pleased with the functionality! I love the current celestial updates and I actually purchased the full version. The developer(s) obviously have a love for astronomy and know how to share that love. This app has sparked a curiosity and enjoyment of the heavens that has been long dormant. It appears suitable for all ages. This is the best of the best and I have tried many. Give this one a place in your app drawer!

  77. David Newman-avatar

Such a great app. My favourite part is being able to tap on a constellation and see the stars as a 3D model, all in relation to one another. For instance, see how much further away the middle star of Orion's belt is than the two either side. I'm also a fan of SkySafari for more in depth stuff, but Star Walk 2 is invaluable in its own right.

  78. Donna Keefe-avatar

I remember when I first installed this app a camera symbol would be in the top left corner, thereabouts of the screen. When I pushed this my screen would go on camera mode and I could see the night sky from where I was standing on my device. I could then explore in real time the visible stars that were currently out as I panned my device around the sky. I cannot find this option now. The symbol is no longer displayed and I have paid for the full version. I really enjoyed the ability to do this.

  79. Aaron-avatar

Hidden paywalls for the stuff it says are features, decent app but 99¢ modules is ridiculously expensive for a single use app. Not like you're gonna use this every single day or night.

  80. Erik Andreassen-avatar

    Erik Andreassen

Love it especially the live viewer. Well worth the price if you like astrology or wonder what you are looking at. The full package allows you to track satellites even where the iss is. The live view uses your camera so you can see the star satellite or planet information on your screen live. Just click on the object to view its information. Love it.

Why is there two star walk 2 apps in the store? i ended up buying two versions that are exactly the same. this is very confusing and i need someone to clarify this. i first installed the one that says free and upgraded only to find out there's another that says "sky guide" one 4.99 and the other 2.99. why is this? what is the difference? this is very wrong as i thought I didn't have all the features and ended up paying more.

A beautiful application. I honestly didn't realise that some planets are visible to the naked eye. This amazing program allows you to marvel at the things you will have, like me, just not imagined have been in plain sight your entire life. Truly wonderful.

I downloaded the free version. really like it and then upgraded to the full version. There are so many features and notifications mean I am seeing so many more objects in the sky. A must for anyone who wants to know more and see many celestial objects. there is a learning curve to utilize everything this app has to offer. So take a cew minutes to acquaint yourself after you download.

i gave it a 4* but now I reduced it because now i can't see real time sky. that was my favorite feature. to point my phone up to a star and i know what it was. Edit: I think I found out what's going on. when I broke my phone I perched one without a compass.

update 5/17/2019 turns out if you paid on the free app, you must use the free app again in order to recieve the purchases. this DOES NOT CARRY INTO THE PAID VERSION!! so keep the free even if you purchase :). this APP was and now again is my favorite!! thank you so much support team for replying and assisting! most of my apps its tiresome to get a response they helped and fixed my account in less than 24 hours thank you!!

gps and sky overlay is spotty at best having you guessing at what your actualy looking at in the sky. as you look around the sky and stop on an object the app drifts around and never has worked right and for me. i had the old app on my ipod years ago and loved thats why i decided to get the paid app and bought all the add ons and it is worthless other than looking at the app but the sky overlay doesnt work for bull

This app is gorgeous, has a lot of information, and works nicely. However, I bought this app and there are many features I need to spend more money on to access within the app. Didn't expect that from something I already paid for -_-

Really love this app! its the superior of both the star walk 2 versions. when u buy all the content the storage weight of it can be pretty heavy but you can move some of it to your SD card. sometime the app bugs out and the screen goes everywhere but where Im facing. other than that this app is really great!!

Absolutely phenomenal! I live in a remote area with no light pollution. This app is helping me to learn, in greater detail, what is in the sky and when. It's good to know these things - the night sky is richer and more beautiful, and it's a map to read when lost at night! Vielen Dank an die Entwickler

I think the app may work better in the northern hemisphere. Here in Australia I get many useless notifications evan though my location is clearly set. Otherwise happy with it. Update : dropped two stars, as now commercials show up camouflaging as event notifications. Evan thought I have the paid app plus all the additional in app purchases. Time to move on

Star Walk give pleasure back to looking at the stars once more. I love looking at the Sky and Knowing where the constellations are and what the stars are named. Great app to watch the stars and planets. Havingproblems with the compass as it keeps reverting back to tge equator witg the Taurus constellation.

I loved this app. I bought it and now the developer Keeps removing features and make you repurchase them. What a rip off!!

It's been a great experience, I often found myself uninstalling for reasons of low memory. Now that i have a nice phone, this app has proven more useful. I like pairing with telescope viewing experience. Beautiful graphics, amazing 3D models.

I HAVE contacted you about this but received no reply. Perhaps if you check your email you'll find my very reasonable request for help from you & find the time to at least try. Just as info for you there are several reasons an app could be removed from a device & I'd be happy to list some of them if you reply to my email. Don't tell me that I uninstalled it as its impossible there's another explanation because you're wrong & I'm not so desperate I'd publicly lie over a £5 app to try get it free!

OK, the work is amazing, but, the dim light button is still too shiny. Too many stars appears when I set the background light to the minimum. Really hard to recognize which star is in front of me. It is more easy with the apple app, sorry to say that.

Great app if it would ever calibrate. I have an s10 and cannot calibrate it. App is broken waste of money

  97. Brad Moriarty-avatar

The app was brilliant when it worked the first 2 times I tried it. now it won't even start. it just sits on the opening screen and won't go any further. I have a Samsung S10 and have tried uninstalling and reinstalled but no change.

Missed the contains in-app purchases. What can I say... Paid for the app based on criticisms on the free app and comments from the developer about purchasing the paid app. Note it isn't all free. Costs more than the original to unlock all. Wouldn't by again.

An informative, entertaining and beautiful app. The graphics are a joy - shimmering constellation images, three-dimensional moons and probes, and translucent nebulae. The regular feed of topical reports and seasonal highlights has become a very nice feature .
