Does not seem to reliably record activities such as health FYI responses. I've went through one of these videos about 5 times now without it counting. That video is now expired, and having the problem again with another. Today the app started telling me I need to update and the version I have isn't supported. There is no update on the play store, tried reinstall of the app with same results. Considering this is how I'm supposed to lower my insurance rates, this is literally costing me money

Constantly get emails telling me I have not submitted proper documentation. I don't know how screen shots of Google maps timeline including times and places don't count as "verification". My most recent email was received today and haven't used the app in almost 2 months. There also is no explanation of what I did incorrectly or how to prevent it in the future, but I have been threatened that they will contact my employer for "falsification".

  6. Helga Wantsprivacy-avatar

Will no longer work since last update and says to update the App, but I have the most recent app so it makes no sense. Also my samsung s10 OS is up to date. Here's the weird thing, my old phone (1st gen Pixel) was able to download the app and open it with no problem. So an outdated phone is able to uae this update, but a newer phone is not? The samsung ran the app for months without issue before this update. Huge mess with new update

love this app, keeps me encouraged and informed. It always offers timely information that can be used by anyone looking to improve their physical well-being. It offers additional services such as shapa that can help you go above and beyond your expectations. So thankful our employer offers this benefit.

Using google fit to track workouts, steps, and calories on a Samsung phone. Constantly over the threshold for advanced workout calories but app only gives me points for a light workout if it counts them at all. I walk over 2 miles almost morning and weightlift 4 times a week. Sometimes it works for a few days if I uninstall and reinstall both apps. App does very little to motivate when its not working but the potential is there to be a great app.

Still constant issues with proper synching. Samsung Health states a higher step threshold than Google Fit supports. Have spoken to Vitality support numerous times but they state they'll only support Google Fit data and Apple Health. Samsung is not an option: personally, if it's the default for my phone, it really should be an option.

New agreement between Google Fit and Vitality makes it so your fitbit won't connect directly to the app. All steps have to be counted through Google Fit. But Google Fit does not support Fitbit and never will. So your hand is forced to move to Apple or use a 3rd party app called fit to fit which may data mine your phone.

I think the idea of the app is great but for me, it is frustrating to navigate. It's hard for me to find what I'm looking for. I'm guessing it's fine for those that use it daily. I'd like the menu to have more to it.

If I did not have to have this app for insurance discount I would not use it! It does not record the Google Fit steps accurately. For some reason it stopped syncing with my Google fit in July, and I have been trying to get it fixed for months now. It is ridiculous. I wish there was another way to receive the discounts for insurance. This app is nothing but a hassle!

On Google Pixel 2 trying to log in for a gym visit routinely says I am not connected to the gyms wifi even when the phone is connected. Both app and phone are up to date.

Scrolling up with a finger does not work most of the time, refreshing page instead of scrolling up. This simple oversight in UI desing makes using this app a frustrating and infuriating experience as well as renders most fillable text boxes unusable. Unacceptable scripting for a serious application. Needs an immediate correction.

I consistently exceed 10k steps multiple times weekly. I linked my Fitbit to my Google Fit and then to the vitality app to make sure I get for a standard workout credit. I've only gotten the light workout points which makes me ineligible for my weekly spin. Fix this please. I'm being cheated on my points.

  33. Jessica Falque-avatar

The app maintenance is inconvenient when you're trying to log your 8 hours of sleep. The steps don't link up well either. For example, it shows 10,145 steps then all of a sudden it drops down to 1,974 z Steps.

  34. Nick Mayer-avatar

This is the only app that consistently logs me out. And it refuses to let me back in for weeks at a time. I can log into website just fine. Can't sync steps though as app stinks. Used to be different password for app (which is stupid) and I tried both. Website password and app password. And I get a server error when trying to reset app password. Such a worthless experience.

I have found the educational courses very helpful. I am more informed about my health than I have been in my lifetime. The site makes earning points fun and has kicked in a competitive streak against myself. I'm in much better shape than when I started.

Not able to sync my Samsung Galaxy Active2 watch with Vitality app to track my steps. It requires syncing through Samsung Health, then Health Sync and Google Fit apps to even get the information into Vitality. Too many steps and Vitaly does not transfer full data from Google Fit. Typically it only transfers half the steps I actually took. I have tried the reinstall of each app and it still keeps glitching. Useless and frustrating. Can this bug be fixed? Otherwise, this app doesn't work for me.

Disappointing I need to use this app for my insurance through work, but this seems to be an apple centered app. I see several people having problems with fitbit. There seems to be no support for Android based smartwatches, definetly no support for Samsung Health.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Can't connect to Samsung!? Google Fit isn't compatible with Samsung Health, I have a Samsung Galaxy watch which tracks everything. I can't even manually record my stats every day to earn points with my employer! I have to use this terrible app to get a discount on my health insurance.... There are more tracking devices than just Fit Bit, which is what I upgraded from to the Samsung Galaxy Watch! Not happy!

Work it works, it works great. However, that rarely happens. It has a very hard time syncing with Google fit. Not sure why. It never gets my steps right. In order for it to register me having 15000 steps, I sometimes have to get 19-20000 steps. Missed out on a lot of points because of this. I'm constantly having to delink from Google fit it even uninstall and reinstall the app. Sometimes that works for a while, but doesn't last that long before having to do it again....

BEWARE!!!! App doesn't sync well with Google fit, resulting in lost points status. Company increases the benefit tier for your company each year, making it harder for people to reach goals. This is the business model they pitch to companies to make health insurance premiums go up in order to save the company money when the company no longer gives you $25 or $50 off each paycheck. If your company is or has moved to this company managing health data, would suggest finding another job.

It somewhat nice app. To link other tracking apps within this one. ... But if I've done an epic mountain hike, or really good recovery day with yoga; but forgot to open the app, it doesn't track/count it!!! This is a giant ploblem and pain. Along with the slep tracking being flawed. Will not track on airplane mode, or allow my sleep tracking app to sync/transfer data. Who sleeps with their phone off airplane mode?

This app is garbage. I walk 3 to 5 miles per day and it always gives me between 0 and 90 steps. What a demotivator... I do not understand how it has 4.5 star rating when 90% of the reviews are 1 or 2 stars.

  52. steve ferrall-avatar

Frustrating and Buggy. Gym visits don't seem to register without having to resubmit. This happens about 85% of the time. Also, Google fit doesn't seem to sync steps accurately to this app. I've had vitality report as much as double the steps as Google fit. I don't understand where this app is getting my steps from if it's not reporting the same number as Google fit, from where it supposed to pull. And I've called vitality about the issue. They've never gotten back to me. I've also emailed screen shots of the issue with no response

  53. John Christman-avatar

This App is broken! Beginning in late August it stopped syncing with Google Fit. What's the point of setting goals and tracking fitness when the App is incapable of recording demonstrable results 5,000 to 15,000 steps per day?! Would be great if they fixed it, but their tech support is hit or miss. Sometimes helpful, other times skeptical - like you're trying to pass one over on them for 5 whole points. Hope these issues can be addressed or Vitality loses all its appeal for being active.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. I don't understand why my employer doesn't stop working with this low-quality, troubled app; and indeed I let them know how unstable this app is. Today, it is not even letting me log in, even-though I am using the right credentials. It has been happening many times over the past few months. The app keeps logging me off and then it is impossible to log back in. They really need to re-process their admin protocol!

  55. Rob Ewing-avatar

Come on man. Literally logs me out and refuses to acknowledge my passcode every single time I use the app. Even when I reset the passcode, right after I log out it says that I am entering the wrong password. Every. Single. Time. And I need to use this app daily to get deals on my health insurance. I would love to uninstall but I am stuck with it. Thanks a lot.

Only works for counting gym visits, spinning the vitality wheel and newsletter type information. Integration ie syncing with smart watches missing or poor. Inaccurate Google fit sync eg 9000 steps on Google. Fit shows up as 90 steps on this app. They sell Garmins as supported devices on their store so I bought one but unfortunately, they don't sync with Garmin devices eg vivosport ie my steps, calories all disappear into the ether. Update 09-23-2019 I added a star for the response from the developer. However, I'm still disappointed with the app, and now, the program: 1. The Garmin steps were synced to Vitality Today desktop i.e.. web program under "Points Statement" but not shown in this android app. Makes the app useless as one need to go to the VItality Today webpage to see the actual steps.. 2. The Vitality Today program considers the number of steps as redundant data if you also checked in a gym. So no points awarded for any steps if you'd clicked the gym visit. To stretch the point, one can visit a gym, click the gym visit button and read newspapers for 30 mins and thus fulfilled i.e. maxed out the points requirements for the day. You might run miles afterwards but none of that will count towards the points for the day. 3. Google fit sync doesn't work. However, now that I know how the program work or doesn't work, I'm back to using my favorite Amazfit watch (not Garmin).

  57. Kelli Lowe-avatar

This app errors out quite often. There's lots of times when I finish a gym workout and get back to the app on my phone, and it says cannot log workout. Then, sometimes when you hit resubmit it still won't submit it, and it tells you to check your Gym's wireless connection, but it gives no indication during the workout that it has gotten off of the Gym's wireless connection. It's frustrating, and of course the workout gets logged later in steps and activities, but I wish the app worked better.

  58. Joseph Young-avatar

    Joseph Young

This app is a super striped down piece of junk. It seems like more of a health newsletter delivery system than a app intended to work with your devices and Vitality account. I bust my ass getting 10,000 steps and the freakin thing will only log 2000. I can literally look at my google fit, and my s-health apps, both reading 10k steps. I can even restart my cell and the stupid vitality app still only reads 2000 steps. What's the freakin point if this thing is only gonna long 25% of what I do?

Once it supports samsung health I will change to 5 stars. My workouts and steps go to the Googlefit app but they undercounted by a massive amount. Is there any way to accurately record my health data from my Samsung watch?

  60. Bigtapir75-avatar

Without a doubt one of the worst trackers/fitness apps out there. Doesn't interface with Google or your android phone, frequently misses workouts and steps, and magically logs you out once a week. Internal help solutions are a joke (3 reinstalls later and still nope), if not FORCED to use this app select another one. My UA one from iPhone is still a better tracker and catches everything without issues.

The app doesn't log a lot of my bike rides on Google Fit. I've missed out on a lot of points because of this issue. I must re-login regularly. It seems to only occasionally connect to google fit. I have to manually open google fit and then vitality every day to have it sync my steps to the vitality website. Now it's gotten to where it doesn't even communicate with google fit. Fit says it's connected but vitality doesn't. When I try to connect it just spins a waiting icon forever.

Doesn't sync up with Google Fit properly. Says in Google Fit like 6,000 steps but Vitality app will show 79 steps. Get out of Vitality, and reopen it then shows like 3,500 steps. Do that again then 5,880 or so. Not very accurate. So when does it upload your data to Vitality which info does it report? So your Medical insurance most likely gets very low results for your large amount of steps.

I didn't know if I was going to really like working with this app at first, but it's super easy because it syncs up to my Fitbit. The main thing that cost the app a star is that it doesn't get the sleep information from Fitbit, so it has to be entered manually before you go to sleep which isn't as accurate as my tracker.

Appealing design and idea, but in just one day I've come across a few flaws. One is that the health reviews open in a browser and the reviews aren't even mobile friendly. Another is that the health goals page will refresh when trying to scroll up regardless of if you're at the top or the bottom of the page.

Great app for health goals and tracking! I wish the points statement and planner was a bit more like the website (right now I have to login to website to get full functions), but otherwise love the app! The Google Fit steps synch isn't immediate, but usually synchs each day and might take a couple days every now and then (I haven't figured out the pattern, but sometimes I'll just restart my phone or check for app updates if it seems like an issue, very rare).

App is pretty good, but after latest update, there's an issue with the active calorie syncing with Google Fit (number of steps syncronization works fine). Okay and useful, my problems for 3 stars incude: everyday i have to reconnect the app to Google Fit (no updates or anything), the app gets glitchy when I'm recording gym time (every other time it says it failed and to try resubmitting it again. and then it goes through or it'll keep clocking past the 30 mins and i can't get it to stop until i restart the app and then it's up in the air if it was recorded or not), good luck recording your goal updates without crashing or the screen jumping...

Worst app experience of all apps used to date. Constantly down for app maintenance during peak times when people need to log things that can only be done through the app. Has a terrible interface with GPS in that it cannot routinely connect to the location it recognizes. The Vitality App is required by my work City of Denver to get Wellness Incentive credit. The app only allow 4 fitness apps to track work outs. The app must be getting kick backs from these apps because they do not include Strava or allow Stava workouts that are linked to Google Fit app, which is allowed only if it not linked to other fitness apps. Google Fit has very few options when tracking workouts. So your workouts do not pause while you stop for other trail users. Do not use this app!

The problem is it ALWAYS registers about 100 steps so I will never get the rewards. I don't know what your garbage app uses to determine steps while sleeping but it really sucks ass. Don't even bother with this trash app, use their slightly less garbage website instead.

I would give it more stars but it doesn't accurately track steps through Google fit and points get missed all the time. I'm not super concerned about silver and gold status as I've already made it to gold, but ther points for vitality bucks would be awesome if they were accurate

Was okay until I switched jobs. Had enough points for a good size gift card and they won't release the points to me. My advice. As soon as you quit your job cash out immediately or they will try to close out your account and then it's " oh're sol".

There is no communication between Google fit and this app, which renders it useless. The app is listed in the connected apps settings of Google fit, but the step data still reads "0". Please update the app to rectify this malfunction. Thank you.

The app and my GPS location seem to frequently not sync correctly/work. They need to do something about that since it is causing issues to log my gym workouts. I park in front of my gym and will say I'm on the freeway somewhere or down the road.

When you track a workout on your FitBit (Weights, Cycling, Eliptical etc.) it doesn't transfer / track in this Vitality Today App. It also doesnt transfer / track FitBit Heart Rate from workouts. The only thing that it tracks from FitBit is Steps which makes the Link to FitBit almost useless.

It's unfair you do activities by the number of steps. I have longer legs and therefore take less steps. I have to go almost twice the distance of an average person to get the same number of steps. I'm rarely going to hit 15000 steps during an activity unless I'm doing a half marathon.

I haven't had any real issues with the app, hut i don't really use it as it doesn't add anything than what my Fitbit app does. It does LACK a connection to challenges. That's the reason I originally installed the app. (i foolishly assumed challenges were part of the app)

I don't see the point of your app, majority of links that I click on your app takes me to your full website and in order to get all the points through my Wellness program, you require us to download outside apps in addition to this one. Additionally, not one person in my office uses Google fit but that's the only thing that shows up in the app
