Vera Alerts provides notification of events that were originated from your Vera Home Automation system and delivered to your Android phone. These notification can also specify 1 of 5 alert tones to be played on your phone when the notification is delivered. Or it can have the message spoken using the locally installed Android Text To Speech, TTS, engine on your phone. Vera Alerts also maintains a database of these notification events so that you can review their history. It provides various tools to display these events and also to manage the lifetime of the stored data. In addition to the text message and the alert tone, a notification event can include additional data with the message such as displayed background and foreground colors of the displayed messages, and other meta tags that can be used to convey information such as the user that initiated the event. The original author was Richard Green. Improvements have been made by Richard Schaefer and Pieter Buts. Vera is product manufactured by Mi Casa Verde. It supports Vera 2, Vera 3, Vera Lite, Vera Edge

huge delays on notificarions started about 3 weeks ago. sent email to richard hoping to hear back. all was working great until then. i think its the phone app when it goes to sleep. delays are as ling as 7 min, but almost i stant when phone is on and app in foreground and i send test messages. makes app nearly useless. i will change back to 5 stars when this is resolved. updated 6/19:. seems like the last update improves the timing. awesome job, Richard!

honestly not happy with this app anymore, very delayed messages that only come through if i open the app or wake up my phone screen, this used to be awesome, I've suggested 10s of people to use it but can't anymore, please Richard make it good again

Love this app. When my garage door or outside doors are opened in my house, this app sends me a notice which it speaks. It speaks what I desire: it says, "BMW garage door has been opened" which is great. The support is excellent, also.
