WiFiman is ideal for analyzing nearby Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth LE devices, device discovery, and network speedtests. These features are conveniently accessed through the sleekly designed UI created by Ubiquiti Networks. WiFiman contains no ads and is free of charge.

WiFiman helps you locate a less crowded channel for your Wi-Fi Access Point. It lists nearby Wi-Fi channels and Bluetooth LE devices and shows you the details of those channels.

With the app you can easily list and analyze devices connected to your current network. WiFiman scans the whole network subnet and shows you all of the available devices with the applicable details, using Bonjour, SNMP, NetBIOS, and UBNT discovery protocols.

Another core feature is the network speedtest. You can test the speed of your internet connection and save the results for later comparison – or quickly share the results.

  1. Joshua Butler-avatar

Useful but it often incorrectly shows the 2ghz signal from my brand new dream machine as "unavailable". Have compared with other network analyzer apps and they correctly show this signal is constantly up / available. App was still useful as when it was working helped me identify a blackspot, couldn't solely rely on it though due to the issue above...

  2. Jay Shin-avatar

wifiman UI makes it very easy to determine where the interfering WLANS are on the spectrum. Helped me to reduce signal power on my WAPs to reduce overlapping signal sharing with my neighbors. Wish my neighbors had the ability to do the same. Only wish it had built in speed test to UniFI controller like the ubnt app does instead of just the ookla internet test.

  3. Karl Senior-avatar

esp32 Downloaded the app and it confirmed what u suspected. My ISP modem/router is garbage. I'm glad I ordered some Cat6 cables which will solve the problem temporarily. My next step is to get a good mesh set up. App is easy to use, clean and informative. Will be joining the beta testing group.

  4. David Alexander-avatar

android Even if you don't use Ubiquiti equipment, this is by far the most useful network diagnostic tool I've used. Being able to easily determine what networks at a given broadcast strength might be interfering with your wireless speeds is easily the most intuitive and helpful feature.

  5. Saswata Chakraborty-avatar

    Saswata Chakraborty

.h no such file or directory App provides a lot of useful info. However, speed test is kinda broken. My location is Kolkata, India and the nearest server is showing in Bangalore, India due to which the speed shows very less. However, when I do the same test on Ookla Speedtest app, it shows the nearest server in my city only due to which I get different speed there which I find to be almost accurate (as I checked the same with multiple different speed test app) and my ISP as well.

  6. Kaneki Ken-avatar

parameter Omg this app its amazing but not perfect, I use this every time when I open my wifi but if they add refresh option and connect wifi via this app I will give this 5 star because to go my default wifi settings and connect the wifi when go to wifiman to see my dBm.

  7. Sander --avatar

wifiman windows Gives detailed in APs behind a SSID, signal strength, frequency, channel, channel width and dBm. Has a realtime network analyzer, and a basic speedtest. WiFiman helped me identify a misconfigured repeater that was responsible for lousy wireless network performance for _years_.

  8. Jim Silk-avatar

reset I found this app very easy to navigate, it does exactly what it's suppose to. Lots of very accurate information. After naming some of your own home electronics, it saves the name, unlike other apps I've downloaded. Nicely done.

  9. Kent Vanderlan-avatar

tzapu I used to love this app. Was super helpful to me in setting up my 16 (yes :) cameras. The best thing was I could name the ip address whatever I wanted. At a glance I knew what was what. After the last update, the re-naming option seems to have been lost. (If I'm wrong, let me know). Now I'm with paper and pencil. If that feature can be restored, 5 stars easy.

  10. Dan Chidester-avatar

mqtt Fantastic diagnostic tool for wifi interference and channel selection/optimization. Great tools to scan for devices on the network as well. Love it!

  11. Richard McMahon-avatar

    Richard McMahon

Really a great tool for viewing wireless APs. Especially useful is the discovery option show your connected devices in your home or work. Hats off to the developers really nice.

  12. Jan Exar Aspiras-avatar

    Jan Exar Aspiras

The best there is. Even better than other apps with ads. If there are paid add ons, I would like to buy them. Like list of known devices, online or offline. or other functions. :)

  13. Albert Colòn-avatar

I love all the tools. I recently started having an issue saying something about no route to host.

  14. DH Y-avatar

Easy GUI learning curve is minimal. I like the audible signal meter feature. Being able to see multiple APs for a SSID is very helpful in troubleshooting. The built in speed test and client discovery is convenient too.

  15. Dave Constant-avatar

Good for real-time connection status. Was having difficulty with clients roaming. The link analyizer shows the signal and handoff between AP's. Problem resolved. Keeping this program in my toolbox.

  16. Joshua Spurgeon-avatar

    Joshua Spurgeon

The absolute best Wi-Fi analytics app I've used and I've tried many of them. Clean app layout and easy to use. Helped to find cold spots/zones in my Wi-Fi network as well as interference from adjacent networks. I was able to change channels and greatly improve my network's speed and range.

  17. Brian Hartz-avatar

Its several old tools I used wrapped into one. I dont do too much networking anymore but tools like this to quickly diagnose WLAN/connectivity issues saves you time. You can start diagnosing from the street/parking lot. Plus, Ubiquity is an amazing company. I hope they (and the other players) continue pushing the limits of wireless tech

Very useful diagnostic tool, i use it with Unifi networks, but it does work on non Unifi networks also which is realy handy... brilliant concept !!!

  23. Michael K-avatar

Fixed a major issue I had at a site with too many AP's . Was able to fine tune my channel selection which resolved issue with devices dropping network randomly.

  24. MG-avatar

Not running properly on chromebook, few and erroneous results....Other than that: Privacy problematic.... You do NOT ATT ALL need GPS location to display Wifi AP's around you. Will NEVER buye your hardware

  25. Nomi Ahmed-avatar

Love this app because this can show your wifi mac address and also show that you can see the clients that are connected to your wifi and copy their mac adress. Sir! I love this app but please can u add a new feature through which we can block any client directly by single tap which is connected to our wifi. Thanks!

  26. Trygve Sjothun-avatar

It is a useful tool that everyone from a network administrator to people who need to get information about their own wifi situation. I can wholeheartedly recommend.

  27. Craig Mangold-avatar

Tried several of these android wifi analysis apps and by far liked Wifiman the best. Well organized and gives all the wifi info I need. Wish it worked the same on IOS for my buddy, but all these type apps for IOS are terrible. That's why I am an android guy. I let my buddy use my android and Wifiman to analyze wifi at his home.

Better than most paid apps. One thing. I used the app before and it had the dark option. It still has the option, it just doesn't work.

  29. Allan Bevin-avatar

Great app....gives you all the info you need. Tried others but they just match up to the performance and accuracy of this app.

  30. Derek Green-avatar

Love interface and wonderfully, no adverts. Like app's simplicity and cleanness. Would like encryption data to be displayed. Used it for testing both 2.4 and 5Ghz in my house after signal problems developed. Keep up the good work, please.

    David Gullickson

Good app but the speed test is currently broken, returns a 404 error.

  33. David Mason-avatar

Had WiFi notspots around the house, this app helped identify where they were, so I could best position range extenders and choose the best channels for the WiFi. Highly recommended app!

  34. Aleksander Krustev-avatar

    Aleksander Krustev

I like it, a lot, my one con is that on my phone I can't set names on my devices, on my tablet I can and every time IP address changes the name remain the same, but on my phone I can't do that. Otherwise the app is great ! 😎

  35. Dylan Mugan-avatar

Clean interface, with quick, accurate scans. While I'm not a fan of providing any app with seemingly unnecessary permission (like location), Ubiquiti's "learn more" page provides sound reasoning for requiring this permission.

  36. Kelvin Kaesa-avatar

I have never left a positive review on any app, but THIS! You don't even need to understand the internet or telecommunications to use this app. It's amazing, Bravo guys 👏👏

  37. E Maddie-avatar

I'm a network architect and wifi SME at a fortune 100 company. This app is fantastic and is my new goto phone app for evaluating wifi when I don't have a $2500 aircheck g2 handy. ...Improvements... just wish the names I assigned to Aps on the list page showed up on the roaming history report on the link analyzer page, and also if it's 2.4 or 5ghz, you can figure it out from the MCS rate but would be easier if you showed a channel number, or freq band on analyzer page.

  38. Vivek Ramakrishnan-avatar

    Vivek Ramakrishnan
