You can choose between network (WiFi / WiFi Direct / LAN) IP control or infrared (IR) control.
★ Infrared (IR) control
Works on phones and tablets with built-in IR blaster (infrared port) such as Samsung Galaxy S series until S6, HTC ONE, LG G3/G4/G5, Xiaomi Mi / Redmi / Note, Huawei Mate / Honor and many more.
No setup required. No WiFi required. It's ready to use (no need for pairing with the TV).
- Tested on Samsung Galaxy series (S4 / S5 / S6 and Note phones and tablets excluding Galaxy S7 & S8 which do not have IR hardware) running on original Android 4.4+ firmware (not CM/LineageOS).
- Also works on some older Samsung devices running on Android 4.1 - 4.2.2
- Please note that you must point your phone’s IR blaster directly at the TV. Usual working range is 4-10ft (1-3 meters, max ~5 meters).
- With some phones in power saving mode or with almost empty battery the IR blaster might not work or range is less then 5ft (2 meters).
★ Network IP control (WiFi / WiFi Direct / LAN).
- Make sure the Sony TV that you want to use is turned [On].
- Make sure your mobile device and TV are connected to the same local/home network.
- When registering/pairing a Bravia TV, make sure that "Remote Device" / "Renderer" in the settings of TV is set to [On].
- If you have refused the registering/pairing confirmation message on your TV, then you can change your selection later in TV's settings (usually it's located at HOME / Settings -> Network -> Home Network Setup -> Remote Device -> Remote Device List).
- If the TV was not found, then it is also possible to enter the TV's IP address manually. To find out you TV IP address go to TV [ Settings ] / [ Network ].

Generally works well and as advertised 🙂In order for the Home button to work you must press the Sync button and select 'Control tv with remote'. I only came across this accidentally and would have believed the Home button did not function otherwise. The home button should just work. What else would I be doing with this remote,other than controlling my tv.

So far so good. I have a Sony bravia TV and this has been the only full feature app that works. I can change inputs and options. Like having the real remote. Hope it stays this way. (My 2 year old hides the remote so this was a life saver, thanks.)

I misplaced my remote, this app helps a bunch. One problem it has, when I turn off the television using the app, I have to unplug the TV for 30 seconds, then plug the TV in again to reset it in order for it the TV to power on. Good but a pain in the neck, it beats getting up too change the channel 😄. Peace

A must have for anyone that loses their remote too often. It set itself up in less than a minute and worked great. I do have to point my device directly at my tv so that it catches every press but its no issue. Great job developers! These people know how to make something that works!!

Instantly worked, and has all core controls you'd expect to find on the physical TV remote (using Sony Bravia). Can even use a TV setting to allow mobile devices to turn tv on (reduces standby power saving, but neat to have ability)

F***ing amazing, lost my remote and this app does literally anything my real remote control should do (except for voice input , which would be awesome though) I recommend you put this on every android device you have.

It's a good app to 7se and it's handy because I broke my remote but any time I open the app there is an annoying pop up to rate the app which is why I'm writing this and with 9ther apps I used they automatically connected to the TV but with this one I have to do it manually

Needs a home button. It's a very basic remote, there isn't even a volume button, however the most frustrating is there's no home button so I can't even use it to access my apps.
