Yeah times completely wrong. Im sitting in the train station and the app is giving completely different times to what the screens at the station have!!!

Absolutely useless for a paid app the times are extremely out and multiple buses missing off timetable compared to Google this really needs to be fixed tripview I rely on this and it let's me down daily

Simple yet powerful experience. The UI needs a bit of an overhaul though.

  4. David Trainer-avatar

Having to pay twice, despite using the same playstore account and debit card, I only give this 4 stars. The other reason is that the data is often out of date. E.g. Mandalong stop, on Military Road is no longer, yet still appears (route 230) as of when I posted this. Otherwise it is def. worth the small one off charge. Don't try contact the vendor, as I did, they don't reply. Not a sound business strateģy!

VERY VERY HELPFUL APP! THANKS! worth buying the paid version

Very useful. Greet visitors (well before virus) into Sydney use it to give them information on transport.

It's a great app but the UI is outdated. Also it will be more useful if it has a companion watch app similar to Citymapper so user can check route and get alerts.

The alarm feature, as of the last update doesn't sound on my Samsung Galaxy S9. It used to be my favourite feature, but is now completely useless. Given I've been using my alarm clock app (Alarm Clock Plus Pro) to set my reminders and other apps have no problems with notifying me I'm pretty certain this is a bug within TripView. Oddly if I have headphones connected the actual phone speaker sounds and annoys the rest of the train but it seems no headphones, no notification!

  21. Cathy W-avatar

Great public transport timetable app, been using it for years in Sydney and got the paid version to save my regular trips. I find it very easy to use and has all the info I would want, including the realtime map view if you're on a bus and need to check which stop to get off at. The only limitations are really outside of Tripview's control, like when buses don't have their GPS turned on, or the light rail which doesn't show realtime.

I have been using this app for nearly ten years. I can't remember how much I paid for it but it is definitely worth it as I have used it everyday. It's great to be able to save my regular trips and being able to see how far away the bus is is my favourite feature (very glad the Google Maps issue is fixed).

Best app for Sydney transport. Best part of it is just need to pay one time and i can use it for lifetime.👍👍👍

The great public transport timetable app, shows real time bus and train info, love how we can save all the trips on this app unlike the free version. Hopefully in the future update there will be an option where we can backup the save trips on to external.memory.. you wont regret purchasing this app

Its good and functional. But what i would really like to be able to do is select 1 stop and see all the transport options arriving/departing from that stop. Instead of having to select a trip to a specific location and only seeing options the transport options for that trip. Otherwise a good app. ------- Excellent. Thank you for the feedback. It is not very obvious in the "by name" section.

  30. Douglas Kemp-avatar

    Douglas Kemp

This is a good app, but it is not 100% real time information. It never will be. Developers will blame client data for everything when you supply feedback. At best it's assumptive on train locations. It's fun and despairing at the same time to see the train icon is past your station when it hasn't even arrived yet. Might be the best on the market but needs a few more tweaks.

Started using for bus data when arrivo stopped working. At first seemed an adequate replacement, but the more I use it the more it's limitations bother me. It does do what it does well - if all you want is data about vehicles on a small number of trips you will be satisfied. But anytime you find yourself in a place you don't visit often enough for you to have already set up a trip, and wanting data about services from a number of nearby bus stops you'll wish you were using something else.

  32. Brianna Allston-avatar

Full version is solid. Have access to the services that I need and then some. Better to have the full version rather than Lite, that way trips can be saved.

  33. Milinda George Kularatne-avatar

    Milinda George Kularatne

Great app, I like real time updates, live timings and having trains, trams and busses all in one app. One big issue is not having a quick search feature. It's annoying that I have to add every one off trips I go to my list. Add the Quick Search feature which does not save the temporary trips. For regular trips, people can use existing "add trip" option.

  34. Shervin Moradpour-avatar

Nice app, well maintained and very good and prompt support Interface could be more user-friendly. It does not help you a ton if you don't know exactly where you are and where you are going.

  35. Lachlan Mercer-avatar

    Lachlan Mercer

Great app, but the alarm doesn't work unless the app is open. If you open another app or go to your home screen the alarm doesn't go off. If you open the app after the alarm, it will activate then, but this is after you set it. Checked my notification settings and it is set correctly. Can you please investigate and fix. *Thanks, that seems to fix it. Would be good to have the option to overrule the battery setting for this alarm.

  36. Fleur Oliver-avatar

As useful as TripView is it would be nice if any changes to various forms of transport where updated correctly. Sitting at the bus stop waiting for a bus with no timetable due to more track work is ridiculous. (Stupid NSW government) Yes, l have it set on automatic routing in the settings and it doesn't work. Had to catch a taxi this morning because l no idea when bus would show up. (The Dulwich Hill to Marion light rail route)

5 out of 5 for this simple, but extremely useful app. I use it all the time, and I have loads of custom-defined timetables that help me every day - I'm a Sydney bus driver, and I don't own a car, so I use public transport all the time. Finally, the reason I am posting a perfect 5 stars today - Just bought a new Android phone. Having the usual headaches updating, transferring and syncing data. But with TripView it was dead easy: One click to create a sync account with Dropbox. Then one-click on the new phone to sync my big list of timetables. Fantastic!!!

  39. Djena Dolkens-avatar

Think the app is great! I love the real time nature. One suggestion though that would bring it up to a 5/5. I have multiple options for my journey to/from work and always compare the end to end journeys each day to find the best one. To help this, it'd be great to be able to extend trips with a walking element. You wouldn't necessarily have to integrate with Google maps, you could just allow us to enter a number of minutes to make an allowance for walking. Keep up the good work!

Worth the price of admission. A nifty little app for planning out trips in Public Transport. Very easy to use and some solid customisation options available. I would love it if we had the ability to re-order the folders however! Currently the only method to re-order is to delete folders above and make them again which is plainly bad user design. If you guys could add this feature it would make a great app even better.

  42. Al-avatar

Very dicent app, but should be free. We already pay money for traveling. Update. I had no guess it's an independent app, well done! Fair price. One feature I really miss here comparing to the official planner on the website — journey duration time. How long is often more important, than when. Update. Yes, this info available. Awesome. Thank you for replies. 5★

TripView is essential for using Sydney public transport. Brilliant app that I use daily. To the devs: would be handy to be able to more easily delete trips that are no longer needed. I end up with a long list of trips and to clean it up I have to open each trip to delete. Some sort of bulk select and delete option or swipe to delete option would be awesome. Keep up the good work though. :)

Love this app. Have been using it for years. Ad-free paid version on iOS. Still the best for looking at timetables and basic trips using the automatic trip planner. Small, uses hardly any space. Real-time tracking isn't quite as accurate for buses tho. But that isnt the apps fault I think. Just the delay in upload time. And you can check yourself on the map to see where the bus is and roughly gauge if it's off. I regularly see my bus earlier than it said before due to some stops being less busy.

  45. Sush Ma-avatar

Great app in general. I can save as many trips as I like and these trips can be edited too! Comes in handy if you have to change services during your trip too. One suggestion I would like to make is make the cancelled services more obvious like strike throughout the line rather than just keep showing the due time which makes you rush to the station only to find out the service has been in fact cancelled and it was just not noticeable at a glance when you were hurrying to get out of the house.

  46. Ashish Shrestha-avatar

    Ashish Shrestha

like what the f, when I minimise the app the route that I am currently traveling is gone after few minutes. I have to again look for the same route from the list. like only thing that I'm getting right now is that once typed route are saved so that I don't have to re-type. other than that everything is same. I paid for this app give me something different god dammit.

  47. Peter Lloyd-avatar

    Peter Lloyd

Fantastic app. Always beats others. One suggestion; showing how late/early a bus will 'typically' be due to past performance and real time traffic. 1. Before a service starts outline both the scheduled and typical times by bus stop. 2. When real time data is available, show how late it will likely be to the stop based on congestion - rather than how far behind it currently is. (Too often it is arriving in 5 minutes for 20 minutes straight). Thanks for the best app hands down 👏 SYD❤️TripView!

  48. Suellen Steward-avatar

    Suellen Steward

Useful app but doesn't allow well for transfers. Wait time between transfers is just the time from one mode arriving to the other leaving. It does not incorporate the walking time from trip end to next trip starting point. Therefore, connections proposed are often unreliable. Not helpful for elderly, people with mobility challenges or travellers unfamiliar with connections.

  49. sum guy-avatar

    sum guy

the best app for Sydney travel. main gripe: when planning a bus trip you have to select your starting bus stop. but for Sydney city this is no good as there are dozens and you probably don't know the best one for your destination. if you guess the wrong one, you won't see the routes you need. so, i suggest for suburb search you let people select destination stop and work backwards to city starting point.

  50. Cecilia Wu-avatar

    Cecilia Wu

Most of the time I still get "real time data unavailable". I'd expect to be updated and for us to know a real time data since we paid for this app. Then sometimes it doesn't state when a bus or train is cancelled and it randomly states train is late or bus it late. Then tonight I experienced bus coming at 9:28pm, but the bus never arrived. Disappointed with this paid app.

  51. Charly Morris-avatar

Thanks for quick reply earlier. The alarm notification for a service works better since I turned a power saving option off. I need to keep battery saving on unfortunately, but a message to let people know this will delay alarms would be best (bar the alarm being fixed so this doesnt happen, of course). It is not a setting that is coose to mind when figuring out why the alarm is not performing as it was set. Cheers.

For most part it works.. But I find today after noticing few times before in past couple of months but never really checked into it until today when I missed the train after checking the timetable last night for what train I should catch this morning that the train time table changes sometime to the weekend timetable after 12am Friday night.. which sux for people like me who work weekends and need to check the time for train needed Saturday morning( since I start different times each week).

This app works well, and the real time bus info is great. It seems to me to be one of the better public transport apps. I'd love to be able to pick a bus-stop, though, and see which services are arriving there shortly. Updated 24/03 Hi, Tripview Developer: aha! I see how it works! Thanks for the advice!

  54. Bradley Lloyd Jones-avatar

I'm using the app to plan a trip from Wollongong library to anywhere... I can't choose the destination... Because all the stops appear on a large size map close together... When I try to zoom in, to choose a destination, the resize causes the app to freeze... it also crashes USB audio player Pro... Maybee they are both addressing the same memory space?

horrible app ... Issues need to be addressed. waiting for a bus that says "5 mins away, the bus is either late or has passed(wow it literally just happened again. I wish I got the screenshot, not that it has any use... App said 5 mins away, but the live GPS showed it was in front of me. Damn this crAPP).... majority of the poor reviews say the same. I tried to complain, sent screenshots in "screenshot section", and was told, "we don't accept screenshots". Poor accuracy, poor customer service.

I've been using this 3 months now and it hasn't done me wrong. Key feature is that the data it provides had to been entirely accurate. If it says train is late, it's late exactly by the minutes it says. This means I don't even look at the time the next train is meant to come, I just look at how many minutes to go until it gets here. Very very handy

  57. Ben Harvey-avatar

    Ben Harvey

I've been using this for years and it's about time I gave it a review. Simply put this is the best Sydney public transport app full stop. Ignore the ignorant people giving this poor reviews of course you need to be online for live updates!! That's not a reason for a poor review maybe a sign to seek professional support? The train live updates are great only a few minutes tops in delays. The buses can be about more but this isn't tripviews fault blame the bus companies lying about service statuses. This app will save you time without a doubt. Buy it and enjoy one less thing to worry about.

Used to work well. A week ago started saying the next 550 bus from Parramatta is in 6 days same with the 533 from Sydney Olympic Park. Emailed no response. Uninstalled/ reinstalled same problem. Currently useless. Email was sent to your [email protected] address. Your suggestion worked. Now to re-enter all trips lost by reinstall. Thanks.

This app is awesome when there aren't any disruptions, delays, trackwork. When there is trackwork, it often gives me inferior transport options (ie. Bus from station A to B, when it could have told me to get bus from station A to C, then catch a train from C to B like what the Transport NSW site suggested). Bit disappointed with that as I wasted at least 40 mins following the suggestion then realised there was a more efficient option.

  60. Kevin Liang-avatar

Great, But a gripe I have is the on-time indicator only indicates timeliness of departure. So if a train departed on time but was delayed a few stations down, it would still be green and showing as running on time. Maybe another indicator for current timeliness? Or a color indication of whether the estimated arrival time is on time.

  61. Patrick Dias-avatar

This baby is a lifesaver. More accurate sometimes, than the screens at the station, more helpful than some staff. Many a time, knowing your bus is a few stops away saves you trying to run for a train you would've missed, running for. Get the full app. The price of a coffee for your saved daily trips. Worth it

Used for a long time, with success, but now seems to have a serious time issue with the light rail. Time suddenly jumps forward from 7 minutes when getting to West Lewisham station. I would normally understand if this was listed a not being tracked live but the app shows it as live data - how can this be so?

Great App, been using it for years. I've recently been disappointedupon discovering that the bus schedules stop at a certain time on the app, but not in real life... Aka last bus is at 7pm on the app, but really they run until 10 or 11... Very frustrating when looking to get home later at night...

Useful app for commuting in Sydney. This morning when I opened the app, one of my main trips had reversed itself (the destination became start). possibly the worst app I've paid money for. thanks for response. there were no errors, the app worked exactly as you intended, it's why you intended it to work the way it does that i can't quite comprehend. I'm glad you understand what the app does badly. perhaps you should let people know that.

It's great but needs to be more easy to use. Could be improved by completely highlighting train time slots saying train is cancelled or delayed so it can be easily read. Also having a more organised system to group already saved searches together for easy access! More update on live feeds!!

Not working properly no real time update. Earlier it was showing realtime but from few weeks it's not showing realtime properly. It is for buses and trains both . How do we know if it's not showing where vehicles are located. If it cancelled atleast it should update. I never faced this issue after few updates we are facing lot of issues

I think this app is great, however it is often incorrect when it tells the time something is due to arrive. Often it says the bus has already stopped at my stop, when in reality it's just late.

  69. Rosie K-avatar

    Rosie K

I purchase this version thinking I'd be receiving the correct information. Trips are displayed where there are no buses scheduled however it still states that a bus arrived. For example, bus 412 was to arrive at Marrickville (near Pile St) at 7.57am. Others have provided the same advice and clearly nothing has been done to rectify the issue. Citizens and visitors are planning trips using an App with unreliable data (infact it's false and misleading) that we've paid for. Very disappointing.

This app would be great if it was accurate. It will tell me the bus is running 11 minutes late, when that time has passed the app will tell me the bus arrived 6 minutes ago even though it hasn't shown up. Meanwhile I would have been waiting at the stop well before the bus was actually due.

I don't understand the good reviews for this app. It very seldom provides real time information on the buses so I may as well go by the timetable. Especially love it when it tells me my bus left 2 minutes ago but it never actually arrived in the first place.

This is a very handy app to have, both the free and paid versions are similar minus the ads, and ability to save trips. The section for buses is a bit fiddly to use compared to a Google directions search, bur for trains I highly recommend and use this app several times a day.

I use this app every day to plan my trips. The timetable is really accurate and the live map where you can see where the bus is is very usufull. I paid the app so i can have saved my differents daily trips, but before i was using the free version and was totally fine too.

I had purchased the app for my Iphone from appstore but now when i had switched to an android phone I have to buy again, my $5 is wasted!! I need so i felt cornered to buy because i can't transfer or used any record to access on different phones. we already pay so much for the daily commute for so many years, shouldn't you offer free to loyal customers. Its unethical to have to pay for something we already paid for

Not too bad but is missing some buses from Penrith up to Blaxland. The 691 at 5.16pm week days isn't listed on this app so I ise Google Maps more even though I paid for the full version of Tripview. Fix the issues and you will get 5 stars.

Provides excellent bus, train, Metro timetable updates. Paid $4 years ago and it saves my regular bus services so I can just tap & it show real time bus location so I can see if it's late, on time etc. Wouldn't be without TripView on my phone.

  81. HaruTsunX-avatar

Helpful app to check for when NSW transport will be at given stops and stations. Could be improved with specifying when the transport arrives and departs since there have been many cases where I've missed trains as they depart the time I arrive and it's rather infuriating.

  82. Tara Wood-Bradley-avatar

Awesome app, I use it a lot,. Only improvement I would recommend is an option to give a name or an alias for a trip to help make it easier to identify trips that might not read easily

  83. Jaya Daemion-avatar

    Jaya Daemion

I love the app but I think the times need to be refreshed and checked with current bus schedules in Sydney. It is becoming less useful if the app says there are 3x as many busses running then are when actually waiting at the stop.

I have been using this for years and am very happy with it. After complaining, I followed instructions and was able to add the timetable recommended to enable me to add a Sydney to Melbourne trip. Thanks Developers.

Committing is no longer reliable when selecting specific to and from stations eg: Was travelling to North Sydney From Guildford it tells me to go to Harris Park and wait at least 15+ mins when there was a train clearly arriving in Parramatta at 5 mins or so mins on arrival thus losing me time, this is not the only instance it happens and I have to save so many multiple stations in this app or even go to google maps which defeats its purpose

  86. Pepe Gonzales-avatar

    Pepe Gonzales

A fantastic app that is incredibly useful as I travel regularly by public transport in both Sydney & Melbourne. So easy to use and the fact that when I add a trip on either my phone or tablet it's automatically added to the other device makes it invaluable to me.

I know it might sound nuts but make this app Android auto compatible as we cannot touch phones anymore. In my car my travel from shellharboir On my way to the train station i can check if my waterfall to town hall train is delayed and should i skip waterfall and go to sutherland just and example.of the power of this app could be

Best app I have ever used for travelling, wish to be integrated with Opal Travel and other networks, maybe Transport department as is a gateway app for customers on the network and also could develop a personal timetable for users to help them with their trip overviews.

  89. Matthew Tieu-avatar

    Matthew Tieu

This app is very accurate in terms of predicting the actual arrival time of the train or bus. I appreciate the fact that it supports light rail in addition to train and bus. My only issue is that there is no real time data for the South East Light Rail.

  90. Inquisitor Alpha-avatar

    Inquisitor Alpha

Its telling me that a service has been cancelled but at the staion and on other maps the train is clearly coming also it updated at the very last minute one night when to hive me info that I should have been on another platform instead of the usual one, the train was the 23:18 that leaves corrimal run C330

TripView is a great app and the organisation is simple and fast, however, for a paid app it would be nice for the developers to update the design to the latest Android material design standards with dark mode and whatnot, just as the iOS app has been updated.

Almost perfect BUT please add an option for a temporary trip - sometimes I only want to use a trip once and I don't want it to stay in my list (so I want it to act the same way as in tripview lite)

  93. A Google user-avatar

2 issues for Melbourne: real-time-data is always 'unavailable'. Also, never shows the platform number for trains. Other features working fine. Used to work perfectly in Sydney.

  94. Cameron Beauchamp-avatar

    Cameron Beauchamp

Brilliantly simple ui that is accessible by everyone due to it's inclusive design, where services are snappy, accurate, and easy to navigate. Widgets would be great for the efficiency of the app. Just a suggestion.

  95. Sergey Oslopov-avatar

    Sergey Oslopov

real time bus service tracking is soooo unreliable. it works sometimes, but quite often just displays 'realtime data not available', so disappointed. why have the functionality if it doesn't work???

    Zac Quitzau

Please add the following and I'll make it 5 stars. - ability to remove all trips - ability to organise by alphabetical order - ability to put trips in categories/folders - set alarm/notification for train arrival eg. "next train arriving at Central in 5 minutes"

  97. Tom Sandberg-avatar

    Tom Sandberg

Super useful, bus tracking is very helpful, as is being able to save your most used trips. Would be good if there was a way for drivers to indicate to app users when they are at capacity.

  98. Vincent Tang-avatar

    Vincent Tang

Pretty good particularly for sydney. Recommendation would be to change the Google map view for Melbourne trains to the actual train network view. At the moment the Google map view has too much stuff on it so it difficult to see which line your on etc.

  99. A Google user-avatar

    A Google user

Still the most accurate and easiest to use app for all of my public transportation needs. The only thing I would love to see improved is the UI. A more modern UI following the new Material guidelines would just elevate the app even more.

This app is very helpful when it is ACCURATE. It says the train doesn't come for another 7 mins when its at the station already. I have missed important trains because of this bug.

  101. Libby Percival-avatar

    Libby Percival

Great app in general, but less reliable recently. Sometimes show train trips as 'canceled', even though you are sitting on said service and it is simply running very late. Currently useless for Blue Mountains line after bushfires and Leura landslip.

  102. Ian Star-avatar

    Ian Star

Quite useful at times and quite easy to use. There are however opportunities for enhancements to make this a great app such as able to see where a train has been before it arrives at your stop.

  103. Peter Burges-avatar

    Peter Burges

Very useful app when it works, but sometimes gives wrong times or suggests inefficient routes which then vanish. Just wasted my entire afternoon on the longest possible route to my destination thanks to this app.

  104. Courtney-avatar

Station platforms are often wrong in the app. Have missed several trains in the last 2 months because of this. Also, late trains are often wrong in the app too

  105. Cate Moss-avatar

Bad. I had to buy twice because my phone died and new phone had different email. Because it didnt verify it denied me even though it was installed on my new phone from migrating from old phone. All apps should have a secondary verification using phone number. This is stealing. If a better app comes free Im ditching tripview. Its a rort. Emailed them and they ignored me. Dodge company.

It's a great app for travelling and getting the right transport, bit it needs to be updated like the lite version has. It's awesome to save your trips and edit them when needed but would it be nice to be updated.

Overall great app that I use every day! I like that it saves a trip I look up but its pretty frustrating that it saves EVERY trip I look up. I would prefer if it allowed the functionality to choose to save a trip if I look it up.

Love the accuracy of the timetable & real-time info on the buses. App would be even better if it could show you multi-mode e.g. to get from A to B, Bus x from A to C, then train y from C to B...

  115. Geoffrey Ternes-avatar

    Geoffrey Ternes

Informative but could be smarter. There are a lot of times I would be viewing my route timetable in reverse and miss my a bus. The app should orientate trip direction based on your GPS location.

I rely solely on trains to get everywhere and this app is by far the best I've used. I'm very grateful to the developer for the regular updates. Keep up the good work!

Extremely annoyed that the app charges twice for those switching from iOS to android. So what if it is developed separately? It's the same app. You should offer a code to redeem it for free if already purchased.

Usually this app is helpful - bus 379 from N Bondi to Bondi Junction. I have noticed buses going past full to the brim though app does not display that. It displays only 2 black heads though in the circumstances they should be showing three.

  122. Andrew Harvey-avatar

Good, but would be better if you could swipe to delete trips, or clear all, as the free version is actually better in this regard it clears trips for you.

Can we use this app like google map? I mean can we select our journey one place to another instead of putting station-station. Because in many areas there are no close by train station.
