Avoid this app if you are booking 2 tickets and want to sit together. They book you in different carriages even though seats are available together and tell you it can't be changed. During a pandemic you would think it wise to sit families of the same unit together. Not this lot. Useless. Plenty of others out there who care more about their customers. AVOID.

It's brilliant that I can get advanced tickets through you, I always use the app to buy my train travel, a bonus with no booking fee. Only thing that I don't like any more is how you charge for vouchers... How are they meant to save anyone anything if you have to pay for them in the first place... Seems stupid to me... Make them free and I'll use them... But I'll never buy vouchers from you, thats ridiculous!

Confusing interface - there is no option to toggle between single or return tickets on the booking page to compare prices which led to me accidentally purchasing a single instead of a return. I contacted customer services to switch them and they told me there is a £10 administration fee for a difference of less than £2. Not using this app again.

Absolutely 5 stars. Having used the British rail website, being redirected to various train companies websites and being told to pick up the tickets at the station (likely requiring queueing up and much faffing about), this app transforms the experience. The ticket splitting that saves you money is the cherry on top of the fantastic cake!

I don't often post reviews but I thought I would do it this time as a way of thanking Trainpal for saving me lots of money on Train tickets in the last couple of years since I found it. The very regular free coupons with money off, the £2.99 PalSave monthly pack which gives you instant discounts on travel, FREE REFUNDS on tickets which nobody else does, how much more could you ask for?? I invited a bunch of friends to use it and not had any complaints so do not read the negative reviews!

This app has been fine until the last update. Now there are apparently no trains available....on any day....and the tickets I'd already purchased can only be collected from the station rather than a QR code. UPDATE 18.10.21 - Contacted via email, worked fine for one day, now still no etickets, although other apps showing etickets, but train times are at least showing.

Do not use this company to buy tickets as their customer service is dreadful and they refuse valid refunds. They are even worse than before as they completely ignore your emails or contact through the app. I have emailed countless times to refund or at least change the ticket due to sickness and there has been no response or acknowledgement.

I have downloaded apps for Southeastern, Cross Country, London Northwestern, Avanti, Trainline and Train Pal. Have them all. I constantly have to travel from the Midlands to Kent. I have found a trip that gets me from Coventry to Maidstone, but the trip only comes up on the Train Pal site. Nowhere else It's a fabulous price. Fits in perfectly and the timings are all brilliant. No other site even offers this trip itinerary. Simply doesn't come up as an option on any other site. Very impressed

This app wouldn't let me exchange my ticket. So I contacted them about this and they said to book another ticket for the same route and they would refund the Original ticket. However the app claims there are no trains for the same route on any day for the rest of this year. So removing the app and redownloading it the app now claims I never booked a ticket but my bank account says different. I've been ripped off £26.80! Don't get this app unless you want to pay for tickets that don't exist!

Really easy to use and saved quite a bit on train tickets. You do need to get hard copy tickets from your departure station and I wish you could have these on a device so you are not carrying around a stack of tickets.
