Excellent! This app does what it says. Ads aren't invasive and don't interfere while running the app. Wish there was some way to see the sound graph spikes when you save audio files. I'm not sure if i am calibrating correctly. Do you adjust the level to match with what the meter says? Or do you set it to the decible level you want the microphone to pick up? I was playing around with this and it recorded the neighbors conversation in the house next to mine. Made my mic on phone more sensitive.

When saving and reviewing history, there is no ability to review the file to see where the peaks in noise occurred and to skip to that portion of the recording. It purely saves just an audio file that can only be played from the beginning in real-time. No ability to see the chart of noise level over time or ability to skip around in the audio file, which ends up making it kind of worthless.

Real time with little to no lag to measure the current sound level. It helped me figure out how loud each of my kids are and it explains why I always enjoyed being around some and the rest are annoying. Not their fault, just the fault of their natural volume.

A non-skippable ad before you can exit? That's terrible. There are other sound meter apps that don't do this. Use those.

Great app for measuring sound levels around the house. This app gave me an appreciation for the sound levels generated by the recent appearance of saccadas. Current sound levels have been around 78.

Works as advertised.woukd love to see other audio alerts available as an option or the ability to use a custom sound / volume. Reason? My kids are loud. This app can run in the room and alert them when they get too loud, butcthe alert is too soft. How awesome if i didnt have to yell at them to quiet down because the phone told them? Maybe there's already an app for that...?

The ads at the bottom of the view did not allow the Back, Home & Apps soft buttons on the system bar to appear (Google Pixel 4 Android 11 latest). Had to hit power button, come back in to be able to remove the app. By then, my many attempts to exit the app had "clicked" the ad which also disabled the "X" in the right corner of the active apps list. Hit power again to be able to remove the ad come-on. Feels like click bait driving ad revenue.

Unless you need very specific/professional measurements just get this. Make sure to calibrate it. UI is intuitive. It gives z weighting which is all i need. I can just plug the data into a computer/spreadsheet if i'm going to be doing any data analysis. And provides a way to get rid of ads for free while supporting the devs! All of the others just want to steal money from you. $3 for A weighting? So expensive. A weighting only works well for sound that isnt very loud.
