Tonk, also known as Tunk is a kind of knock Rummy or variation of Gin Rummy. Tonk a standard 52 card deck is used, without jokers. The cards have values as follows: picture cards count 10 points, aces count 1 point and other cards count face value. In Tonk five cards are dealt to each player. The next card is placed face up on the table to start the discard pile, and the remaining un-dealt cards are placed face down in a stack beside the discard pile to form the stock. Any player whose initial hand contains 49 or 50 points must declare this immediately and show their cards: this is sometimes known as a "tonk". In this case the hand is not played and the player with 49 or 50 is paid twice the basic stake by each of the other players. If more than one player has 49 or 50, the hand is a draw - there are no payments, the cards are thrown in and the next player deals. The aim is, by drawing and discarding, to form your cards into spreads, which can be books of 3 or 4 equal ranked cards or runs of 3 or more cards in suit, or to dispose of your cards by adding them to existing spreads (Hitting). You win if you manage to get rid of all of your cards, or if you have the lowest value of unmatched cards when someone stops the play. In theory any number can play, but it is widely agreed that Tonk is best for two or three players, maybe four. Since there is some scope for hustling collusion when more than two people play, some prefer to play with two players only. Tonk is usually played for money. Before beginning, the players should agree on the basic stake (the amount which the winner of each hand will normally be paid by each of the other players). In certain cases the winner can win a double stake - this is generally known as a tonk. The cards are cut to decide who should deal first. The highest card deals; if there are more than two players the player who cut the next highest card sits to the dealer's left, and so on around. I like this game but the knock rule makes it unfair and frustrating. I should be able to knock when I want but the game only gives you the opportunity to knock at certain points in the game giving AI advantage. Ai knocks whenever they need to. fix that glitch because I like playing with KNOCK on. Other than that I enjoy this game

Horrible play. On one stretch I won almost 20+ games back-to-back. After a few games it seemed weird. Then I realized that the other 2 AI players had a spread in their hand every single time I won. On multiple occasions I've had an AI player pick up their tonk card and drop it. For example, the are holding two 2s and they pick up a 2 and drop it. Just happened a few moments ago when I knocked right after their turn and see what they have in their hand and what they JUST dropped.

Great gameplay! For anyone who learned it like I did, only thing that caught me off guard was "knock" because I learned it as "drop" and/or "fall" but besides that, it's great! Just like playing with someone in person! 😁

Good game, I don't get not being able to (go down) or knock until way in the game and why you get a win after the deal without a 49 or 50? Then you're dealt a 49 or 50 you don't get a win? Been playing tonk since I was a kid and these rules are nothing like we play in the Alabama woods... Good game just inconsistent rules I guess and adds after every hand sucks

Waaaay too many ads popping up and then you have to wait for the ad to play out before resuming game play. There's other free Tonk apps that have far fewer ads (if any at all) and are less obstructive. Uninstalling. Update: the devs apparently don't understand TOO. MANY. ADS. PERIOD. as they reply asking for a screen shot of "which one was most disturbing". Not very helpful guys. *eyeroll*

Game/app is easy to use as long as you don't like knocking as this feature is only available to apply randomly. The help consists of a single demo video which shows you one hand describing the very basics of game play. If you enjoy Tonk without the knock option this is a fun app to use. Games are readily available with IMHO few short ads to watch.

This game is robbing me every time I play since I've logged in with Google. I had no problem while logged in with Facebook. It except my money in tournaments but after cards are dealt it says time is up & removes me from the table & taking my coins. Please fix, a major issue....

Early on, play was great. Eventually the game changed to me winning continuesly. I found that the other players held spreads in their hands, even when I had spread before them. Competition is no longer in play.

fun and entertaining. I do not like the ads popping up during game now when you collect your coins however. that was not a good update choice.
