Reviews

Charming old school platformer. Not too difficult.

Good game, with the right price and excellent graphics. Plays smooth, but does not have much replay value. Finishes way too fast for me. Very linear critical path, feels like it takes away from the exploration. Not many secrets to discover, and needs more enemy diversity. As expected during my gameplay most of my deaths were due to me fighting the controls, but that's typical for most mobile games.

Awesome game! Smooth controls, kinda short (nothing negative about that) and great graphics! The only minor complaint I have is that there is no obvious close option so the app will keep running after it has been shutdown. Nothing that bothered me much though.

An excellent old style game boy type game. Absolutely superb adventure platform and in just my sort of style. Go through a type of maze finding secret rooms, keys for doors and other bits and pieces. It's not too hard or too easy, but it did feel that it could do with other map zones to explore rather then just the one set. If you don't mind the old fashioned style graphics, I strongly recommend trying this!!

It's a very fun game. It could use more maps, more secrets and more item usage. Should make a sequel to this style, with more ways similar to this and the other dungeon game, possibly. I experienced a glitch with the health. When you don't save and get pretty far your health becomes seven instead back to three.

I have one complaint that has killed me in-game more than deaths I feel were legitimate. The Lag and the Deadzones for the buttons need to be fixed. I have died/gotten hit more than 100 times, though I feel that only 9 of them are legitimate. There is a HUGE gap between the Jump and attack buttons. Fix this and I will gladly rate 5 stars.

There are a couple issues and bugs, like the game randomly pauses which gets really annoying. But overall the game controls are decent the music isn't annoying. It doesn't have a storyline that I can see the items and health bar are right out of Zelda and if this is made by the same developers as Adventure Island for the NES then this should have had the same set up. Although the lack of time limit is refreshing for this type of game. This isn't a metroid or castlevania style game like the description would suggest. It's more like Island Adventure without a time limit.

Lots of fun and plays smooth as butter. It's unfortunately quite short. Aside from the main game, there's a time trial mode. I don't personally find this to be terribly compelling, as I enjoyed the exploration inherent to a metroidvania far more than speedrunning. Anyway, my only real critique is that this game needs more than the one and only dungeon.

Went into it with some apprehension but came out surprised at how awesome this game is! Controls are spot on and feel just right. The ads aren't too intrusive and eventually go away. The difficulty I'd say is JUST right. Challenging but not so much you wanna quit.

This is an exemplary example of a "metroidvania" style of game. The retro graphics make it seem as if it were an actual gameboy game ported to android. The music was on point and exceptionally composed. It was a tad short but that is quite minor compared to everything it did right. Major kudos to all of the development team.

I am not one for reviewing Google play games often. This game was so exceptionally well made that I had to, as well as give it 5 stars on everything. Brought me back to my childhood playing Game Boy games like Metroid 2, Wario Land and the like. It's by no means a long game but it doesn't need to be. Its beauty is in its simplicity; no weird gimmicks or trying to innovate a solid classic genre of games. This is a perfect example of what the play store needs more of. There are plenty of mindless and half-assed clones of successful games on here, but this is truly a diamond in the rough. Keep it up, guys, I look forward to playing future games by you and would love to see you make even bigger games happen. This is up there with Yacht Clubs Shovel Knight. You did great! P.s. I loved how the final boss was very similar to Yakuza from Metroid: Fusion. Superb job! :)

A fun little game! It's not too short or too long, with just enough challenge for a mobile game; great whether you're just wasting a few minutes between activities or tackling it in larger sessions. The graphics and sounds are all charming and just the right amount of nostalgic and authentic to the green-and-grey style of the original Game Boy. Highly recommended!

i have nothing else to say about this game... because it is FREAKING amazing!!! the style is so simple, yet the gameplay it's so good 😍😍😍 10 out of 10 (if we even have 10 stars for this 😂)

This was perfect, reminded me of my old gameboy, and of playing Castlevania a small amount, too, while being it's own game! I wish there was more ^-^ Did you know if you put an original gameboy cartridge into a gameboy color, it actually works and comes out the right colors? I played Tom and Jerry way back on both and it was amazing ^_^

Great game. Controls on my phone caused me to hit pause with my back button and then hit exit on the pause screen way to many times and end the game instead of jumping. Other than that no problems. Again good game.

To reiterate what I said (and to be more constructive): This does seem like a good game... however I feel very upset that while the game requires buttons that would feel more comfortable with a controller, I find it disheartening to see it's incompatible with a Bluetooth controller. Please consider fixing this so I may give the game a proper chance.

Old School Brilliance! Immensely enjoyable. Where it scores over super dd in my opinion is that you have to trawl around the entire dungeon, (which is huge!), visiting previously passed areas to get new items using items you have just unlocked! Works so much better than the linear level progression in super dd and other platformers! Hidden areas are hidden well too! Great job!

This is a great game that emulates the classic Game Boy style. The game is addicting and it's easy to beat in an afternoon. The ending was a let down because I was expecting more. Overall, I enjoyed playing this game.

I don't know about the controls because I played on a chromebook, but this game is great! I likw how I always knew where to go, and nothing felt cheap or there to waste your time. All secrets have hints, such as pushing animation for one of them. The upgrades never felt useless or overpowered and weren't requested to be done over and over again to unlock puzzles, or just as a key to solve a problem once, and then do nothing with it again. Overall, I reccomend playing this game.

Wow, this is by far my favorite appstore game developer. I don't know how you guys keep doing it, but all your games are fantastic considering the usual laziness that is apparent in most games of a similar sort. Keep doing what you do guys, I have faith in you. You're going places.
