The Forage is a geolocation-based game about finding and collecting hidden treasures around you without turning you into a smartphone zombie. No data connection required! Very low battery usage! Batteries included! As you find a rusty box full of electronic equipment, you uncover the technologic masterpiece of the ancient Scavenger's Order: the Magnetron. Made from scrap technology of a long gone civilization, the Magnetron detects items while you move around and automatically collects them for you. You don't have to worry about destroying portals or throwing balls at japanese creatures. All you need to do is turn your Magnetron on, put it into your pocket and enjoy the view. Use it to collect an evergrowing list of artifacts made of beautifully hand-crafted pixel art!

righteous fail
The game starts slow at first, but as you progress you gradually open up a world of ancient artifacts. This is mostly a passive game, not a time waster, but a good incentive to go for a walk. The pixel graphics and bits of lore are very nice. My main (minor) gripes are the craftable upgrade items don't feel worthwhile, and I'm hesitant to throw away anything while nearing the inventory space limit. I miss the recycling mechanic. Also, Google, stop deleting my reviews!

Awesome game!!! I will admit that the pixotron almost ruined it. Sitting down and being forced to play it constantly was the opposite of why I loved the game. But, over all, still a great game. Now, I'm just mad I ran out of artifacts. PLEASE ADD MORE!!! I need more!!!

I love the app and its concept their is only a minor menu issue in the vault i can only access the first 12 items because when i try to scroll down it picks up the closest item i recommend putting a scroll bar on the side or if its already their make it visible other than that i have had no issues

So, just started playing the game last night. this morning, i was sitting at work and i checked it, and watched for a bit. the movement tracker seems a bit off, it reads that i was in a vehicle, then running, then still or walking. it never stayed "still" but thats not too much a problem. i already like the idea of the game, and can't wait to collect more. Dev, direct message me if you need more beta tester! ^~^

Game is great so much potential. Right now theres pretty much nothing to do. You leave the phone running and then hope you collect artifacts to level up. You can scan other people if you find out they play somehow. You can craft boosters. You pay money to deploy more storage access points. Game needs quest or a hunting mode. It should show you a map and tell you to go there in a time limit. Depending what you have your hunter set to is the reward value.

it's a fun little game, leave it on in the background, go about your day and see what you happen upon in your journey. only detractor is that the UI responsiveness is a little clunky. getting press actions to show the info window for items is an art and understanding the vault system takes some time. but otherwise, a fun game to motivate exercise without constantly needing to watch the screen.

A fun game to have on in the background while you do your day. Needs no wifi to play. Just the ability to move and a phone, and before long you will collects trinkets that hold references to history and pop culture. This game was five stars before the update. Now it's even better. It's alright. Neat idea, but the GPS integration is iffy as others have said. Also, I have an item that says it needs to be in my briefcase to work, but Deposit All put out in my vault and it looks like there's no way to get it back. The wiki is useless.
