Reviews From google play store

My 5 year old is reading 2 years above his age thanks to this app. It's amazing.

So I just tried this for the first time with my 4 year old and we loved it at first...then, we got to the letter O. I teach kindergarten and we teach the short O sound. However, the pronunciation on this game is definitely not short O. It sounds more like long O, but not exactly that either. We haven't got to all the letters yet but I can't believe an app to teach letter sounds, doesn't give the correct sound! Also, I don't mean to sound pretty, but the sight words are shown with a capital.

TYMTR is amazing and worth the price. My homeschooled child has used it for months and still wants to play it. We do TONS of other stuff toblearn reading and I hate to admit he may have learned more from this app than me and hands on activities 🤦 not that it is a substitute for those things! but its an amazing extension that makee learning to read fun! 😊

A great game to teach and learn to read in English. Absolutely engaging and fun for kids. A little too much talking of the narrator and too long and repetetive instructions, especially in the second and third games. Kids sometimes get tired and want to skip the instructions (because they learn them by heart in the first game), but it's impossible. On average the game is brilliant!

Game constanly freezes. my daughter cannot even play the duck game because whenever she puts the ducks away everything locks up and requires a restart. seems like a waste of $9 to me...

my son loves the app. HOWEVER it's started freezing everytime he finishes a mini game and the rainbow shows up. That frustrates him alot so he's not playing it much lately.

The letter sounds come through as clicks and beeps on both of my girls' android tablets. It is hard to learn to match letter sounds to letters when the letter sounds don't come through! This is extremely dissappointing! The app seems to work better my iPhone at least.

App Freezes. It's a great learning tool and my son made significant improvements using the program, but now it just does not work. Please fix soonest app devs.

Hi guys, I'm having a similar problem with the freezing of the game. On the basic setting, second monster in 3rd letter the game freezes after second lot of ducks rounded up. Also on the flower jump game this happens on the same point (monster 2, 3rd level, second successful letter). Can't progress although haven't tried the rocket game. Game freezes with the rainbow across the screen but before the celebrating monster appears. Please could you help? My daughter's a bit upset

My son seems to really enjoy playing in the app however,it freezes then force closes when playing the duck part of the game. This as you can imagine is extremely frustrating for all involved. If you can solve this issue it will be perfect 👌

lovely idea but just doesn't work. There us often no sound so you cant hear the letter sounds etc so you have no idea which to pick. it also freezes a lot so makes it impossible to play

this app started out great but it keeps freezing with a rainbow across the screen half the time. I've kept all apps cleared off when using this like suggested in another review, I've also restarted my phone twice. the only way to keep playing is to clear the app and reopen it, the music keeps playing if you don't. my four year old loves the game but is frustrated with the freezing.

We started it with my granddaughter when she was 5 yrs old to actually help with her speech. We found because of the British/English accent (we are in western Canada) there were challenges at times to understand but it worked better with headphones to cut any outside noise. We use it both the computer version and the app version and have never had any problem with it freezing or not working. She is enjoying it more now than when we first started, her favourite part is choosing the outfits for her monster and catching trickies

My daughter loves this app, as do the kids at my school. However, when we are using the app at home on our android tablet, it freezes and loses my daughter's progress. It's very frustrating.

Neat app and my son enjoys it, but it requires a parent as the app is choppy and freezes and the audio clips are all cut off at the end ("Put the ducks in the P!", all letters sound like an abrupt "T", etc). Maybe the Nexus 10 is an old tablet but most other games run fine, especially paid apps.

My son has played on the computer for a while, but I've only recently added the app on my phone. It's great for keeping him engaged with something educational on the go! He loves the colorful monsters and the variety of activities, and I love hearing his pride when he reads new words.

Fantastic app!! This is the perfect app for phonics instruction. My kids love the games and it has really helped my struggling reader to find the confidence to start reading. So much fun and educational. Thank you!

I have used this wonderful reading program in my kindergarten and first grade classrooms for the past few years. All my students love playing! They frequently will ask me to play this game, and I often find them choosing to play the program on their own free will. I've had several students tell me "I remember learning this on Teach Your Monster to Read!". Thank you for making the computer based portion free to all to help students and teachers.

this worked for only one day. freezes non stop. Uninstalled app and installed it back and its the same thing.... really sad my daughter loved it.

My kids love this game but it keeps crashing on the ducks bit once you get to the monkey king. After collecting all the ducks into the correct pond it gets stuck on the rainbow screen but the monster doesn't appear. This is very frustrating! My 3 year old has now learnt to say 'it's crashed again'. I've taken a screenshot but can't seem to post it here. I have emailed the address below though.
