    Used this app extensively until yesterday when it stopped working altogether. Performance was overall good when it worked, no real trouble in using the app but now it crashes on startup without error messagea and without me having changed anything meanwhile. Maybe a future update will fix this. Edit: solved. Clearing all data in the app settings solved the issue. Bump up to 4 stars.

    Insgesamt gut, das einzige was ich an der App auszusetzen hab ist, dass es keine Option gibt, einen Hund anzumelden. 80% der Fahrer nehmen keine Hunde, was ja in Ordnung ist, aber es ist immer ein herumgetue um einen zu finden der meinen Hund mitnimmt. All in all good, the only thing i dislike is that there's no options for customers to pick dog friendly cars. I have a dog and 80% of drivers don't take them, which is completely fine, but it's always a hassle trying to find one that does.

    Need to add an "order ahead" or "timed arrival" function. This function costs more in the Uklon app but is extremely convenient for busy passengers. This is my only complaint. Generally drivers are good and prices are cheap.

    The scooter part doesn t work at all. After clicking on scooter icon, the app closes and it is not possible to open it again. Just uninstall

    If you forget to set proper limit for your card, you'll have to wait 30-40 mins until system retries to charge your card again.

    My son sent me a link to download the app and it said if I use his code I'll get a free ride so I downloaded it and when entering the promo code it keeps saying it's invalid, seems to me that free ride is just to scam people into downloading the app, it's false advertising and a false promise if it wasn't lock down I ask my lawyer what I can do about this because I'm sick of people running cons

    App thinks I'm 10 doors away whereas Google Maps and Uber knows exactly where I am. Only goes wrong when I'm at home, where I have my home set as 'Home'. Customers Services can't work out why. Uninstalled.

    Very good app but for the love of God and all good things, please developers make the app to show the real time of the cab. 5 minutes equal like 15 in some cases. This is very bad for time management. And the second part is that there is some chance a driver will pick the request and he barely started a other drive, this again is like 8 minutes - more like 25 ... And wait the driver could be in the other side of town, 15 more minutes... I hope this review helps. Otherwise the app is very good.

    Very bad algorithm! and they are not honest at all. If you take two mobile phone on same location and choose same destination on both of them, you will see that you will get different price on both phone!!! and of course its very very expensive compared to other taxi apps. you can switch to other app, drivers are using all of them so you can get same car quality with 30-40% price cheaper. I'm very disappointed!

    After the app has been updated, one would think that it would be better than before but that does not seem to be the case. It still has difficulty connecting and the error message notes that it is not connecting to the server. Also, the driver would be waiting and the app shows that the driver is 5 min away. So not very accurate. Let's hope Bolt takes the comments they ask for into consideration & not just brush them off like they seem to have done with the comments/complaints previously

    Honestly, on its day, it's a really good app. Cheap too. But when you order a trip and need to get somewhere quick and all the drivers are far away, You have no choice but to cancel, and then when you cancel a number of times you get blocked. I wouldn't have to cancel if the drivers I kept getting weren't so far away, and end up getting stranded because I've been blocked for the next 7 days, very frustrating .

    Amazing drivers.Bad software! All the drivers I've experienced so far with this app are professional and efficient people but the app itself is another story. The app is suppose to inform you how long will a driver take 'til the pick up point - the times are always wrong and, I believe, to be deceiving. Another big issue is the messaging. You can't message your driver, you can only call him. New softwares in mobiles can cover that issue or pulling over the car. Probably part of their marketing?

    Great app, love that they added the possibility to enter more stops for one ride. With some addresses it can be tricky, if you forget to adjust the exact pick-up spot. Always able to get a taxi with this app anytime, no cash needed, just charged on card and know the price beforehand. Happy every time I get any promo 😊 Then it's even cheaper than to ride with my own car and pay for parking.

    Suddenly stopped allowing me to hail rides. Was alright for cheap journeys and now it's terrible. Will not be using ever again. I sent an in app support request and no reply. I called the support number and they said they have no explanation and will refer it to a 'specialist' and it could take a couple of working days. Not good for a Friday night. Useless company. Terrible customer service. Never again.

    Awful app. First of all, you can't outright reject a ride that takes too long, you get assigned a driver and that's it, no chance to accept it, check out the profile, rating, etc. Secondly, I was randomly charged double the cost of a ride in advance. Support gave me a copy%paste answer that it was an authorization charge... for a card I had used just the day before. At the end of the ride I was charged for the ride itself, so now I paid 3x

    In general, I haven't had many issues with bolt but I do have a suggestion. Once the taxi has been confirmed, it would be helpful to be told the colour of the car instead of just the licence plate number. Especially for those of us who struggle with our vision. I once had a driver cancel my ride when the weather was very cold because I didn't know he was my taxi and not just another car parking as he drove further up from where I was waiting.

    The app works fine and the rates are pretty fair most times. However there have been some occasions where I have been charged double or more of the estimated price, I reported and was given a free voucher . When I used the voucher for a trip which was cheaper than the value of the voucher, I was not refunded the remaining balance of the voucher. I think that should be looked into.

    Excellent value, friendly driver, Tesla option is great! First journey the cost was less than half what Uber was asking, and even without the introductory £5.50 discount it would have still been around half! App is well designed and works well, one bug is it tells me location services are off even though they were on and I granted permission, but I could dismiss that message and still use it fine. Would also appreciate Google Pay support. Keep it up this is my new go-to taxi app! 👍

    Good app, drivers are reliable. My only gripe is that when you have a promo discount code of £8 or £12 it doesnt always apply the full amount and if the journey you use the promo discount code for is less than the discount amount, it does not allow you to carry over the remaining balance for the next ride so in essence you lose out.

    The service is good, but the challenge is the type of a car you are expecting, e.g the app will tell you of a certain car but the one that arrives is different, furthermore the availability of cars at times, the drivers check what amount they are going receive and often reject to do the trip which makes it a bit unreliable at times. But above all the service is good.

    Can't set default home address. Can't add favourites. Why? These should be the rock bottom minimum! Trying to use current location always sets wrong address. Address picked on the map never gets stored. Not useless, but that's all. It is very far from an app that can be considered good. EDIT: My bad - thank you, i can set Home now. I still can't set frequent addresses (besides work) and still can't check my address history to reuse an address. But at least, with home address set, it's feels a bit more OK now.

    Drivers usually arrive as scheduled by the app. In my experience, they don't voluntarily try to help load the taxi where luggage is involved. Sometimes very pricey compared to regular cab for same distance. Where the difference is way too much I stick to regular cab. I hope it becomes more affordable.

    Booked a car trip, the price I had to pay went from 32 euros as was shown to 47 euros, without warning or explanation. The app makes you think the price is set but you learn afterwards that it is just an "estimation". I Tried to contact the support 3 times, they closed my ticket every time without answer. Hard to believe these kind of practices are legal. This should be banned.

    Bolt app used to be great until the app started picking up a rider so far away and in traffic. Then the driver will ask for cancellation because of the distance. You repeat this drama five times in a day then you get blocked. I suggest the app should differentiate a cancellation initiated by the driver from one by client. Cheers to progress.

    1 start is the best I can give for this app. I installed the app and tried logging in. (There are only 2 login options ie; mobile number and Facebook). Using the mobile number option, I did not receive any SMS with verification code despite the numerous attempts. Facebook log in gives an error "Your Facebook is not linked to any Bolt account, please sign up first"

    My biggest problem with this app is accuracy of GPS locations of drivers but the biggest problem is their ETA, almost everytime I get info, that I will have driver ready in 1-3 minutes, but most of the times it takes more than 6 minutes, even the starting position of driver is unmergable with the arrival app is providing.     Of late, when I request a ride,I have been getting notifications of driver has arrived when the driver is no where near the pick up location. Shouldn't it be possible to allow the driver to only check that they have arrived when they are actually at the pick up location and not when they are miles away? It really irritates me

    I'm a first time user, I was happy to see I have a promotion which was valid for 3 rides, I used it once to go to randburg from edenburg which charged me R25 instead of R124. But I when I used it the second time, to the same place, with the promotion still valid, my app showed me R21 and when I arrived at my destination the driver showed me that his app is charging R103 which I didn't understand how the price's didn't match, because of this I rate the app 1 star. I don't trust their promotions.

    When signing up to Bolt NO Government ID is requested just your name, email, mobile number and bank details. After using the App a number of times Bolt deliberately block your account with no explanation why account is blocked. In order to reactivate your account Bolt ask for a photo of yourself holding Government ID such as your passport or photo driving licence. ID is not required to sign up so why is it requested to reactivate my account. SCAM/FRAUD BEWARE!!!!

    I love using bolt, its very convenient However lately ive been accepting pick up requests and finding that the amount that im charged upon accepting the request and the amount that i am paying at the end of the ride is considerably different, that and im finding myself being charged considerably more for rides on my one profile as compared to my other profile, even checked both at the same time from the same pick up point to the same drop off, two totally different prices, very disappointed.

    Generally good but I've had several questionable drivers. Also- please fix your car arrival time. It always automatically says 2 or 3 minutes when the car takes at least 5mins to get to you. We're not blind, we can see it takes longer on the map. Why try to look good by saying the car will be collecting you in 2mins when it will take 7? I've cancelled several cars because it says 2 minutes but I can see on the map it may take them over 10mins because I know the area and traffic.

    Significantly understimates pickup time. Pre charges credit card as soon as they have accepted your request. Drivers often arrive at the wrong location or accept your request and do not actually turn up after 10+ minutes. App does not allow you to rate drivers for historical journeys. App does not show route or time to destination until after pickup. Should provide estimate at time of request.

    Wish I could see my rating, as a passenger. Had multiple instances of drivers not arriving, one when they did not arrive, but it showed they accepted it - taking money for empty car. Had to withdraw all my funds from the card for I did not want to get charged for that. Otherwise mostly nice drivers, only ever had an issue with one BMW driver, who was very rude. On most days is cheaper than Uber.

    It feels safer than regular cars. And the drivers try to drive as carefully as possible. But I've had a bit of problem with money being taken out of my card without a ride twice. I've complained but the process of getting my money back is long and strenuous and I'm mostly busy through the day so i let it go. Other than that i guess it's okay.

    This app cancelled a trip I requested one minute before the car was supposed to arrive. Not only was I not notified at all that the trip had been cancelled for no reason, but I was also charged for the trip anyway. The trip doesn't even appear in my trip history so I can't write a complaint about it. What a disgusting scam of an app.

    Nice app but should consider lowering tarrifs in off peak riding .I addition to that this app occupies more space in my phone relative to other apps doing the similar service kindly compact to make smaller in terms of space it take in my phone The app must give us a choice of selecting gender of the driver as we are sometimes scared to request male drivers for our young girls and also not comfortable for my husband to ride with lady driver so if you can allow it to be a choice.

    The developers of this app need to work on this app have been waiting for the SMS code for ever. It not sending the SMS code neither the call option is even working. Pls you other competitors registration is seamless. Less than 1min you are done. Pls note have explored the option of flight mode and even restarting my phone still didn't work.

    First ride with Bolt was great! What isn't is you can't leave feedback if your App accidently closes which is pretty silly as we should be able to leave ratings if we haven't submitted one previously. Improve that and it definately will be a 5star rating for this app.

    1 of the best transport apps initially released. However, lately I have been noticing an increasing number of drivers cancelling trips because the payment method is card instead of cash. Something to look into as this is a major inconvenience.

    Sick to death of rider "booking payment failed" messages after I've driven all the way to the pick up location. And then you have the nerve to suspended driver accounts when they decline too many trips. Well of course I'm going to decline trips that are more than a mile or a few minutes away when there's a chance of a passenger "payment failure" when I arrive. What a load of bollocks.

    The arrival time is quick, a driver is usually at your doorstep within a few minutes. However sometimes the drivers ask you for cash even though you have a card linked and will request you to cancel if you don't change the option. Another issue is alot of the times a different car to the one Mentioned on the app arrives to fetch you

    App is good. But while entering home address, I couldn't pick it from the map, I had to use a nearby Filling Station as my home because my street is not listed on the map. I should be able to pick my address on the map since my street is not on the map.

    They blocked my account just because I moved from Sydney to Melbourne and even when I contacted their support, someone named Dan responded to me after hours... And the support os so bad that if you exit the support chat, the older conversation is just gone. Even right now trying to chase them as I have sharer my Valid passport ID photo as requested by them and still no response from them. Shame! I am gonna report on their social platforms and even to the Australian consumer law. Thanks.

    Fairly happy using bolt. However, the App will always give you misleading arrival times if the driver is further than expected. Its clearly intentional as it able to calculate your arrival time during your journey. It would also be appropriated if you could add multiple stops.

    Bolt is Annoying and unreliable! The app will say 3min and while waiting the time increases instead of decreasing or or the driver is just sitting in one spot for the duration of the so called arrival time. if you have someplace important to go book well in advance or use a more reliable cab service. The above has happened too many times now and they have a cheek to charge cancellation fees. Fix the issues please or may just delete all together. And just looking at the reviews think I will.

    This app is only good and safe for riders, but very risky for drivers. Riders can see the faces of their drivers on their phones as they aporoach to pick them, but drivers cannot see their riders's faces on their phones.They just wait for the unknown client, who might be a dangerous wanted criminal.     The app has been great and a great substitute to Uber but I've been having issues with payment. Sometimes the drivers mess up their location and this increases the cost of a ride exponentially. It happened to me and I complained but while Bolt acknowledged that I was overcharged, I wasn't given a refund nor was I offered anything to soothe my mind. Also, recently, there has been some trouble calculating fees. A trip would end and the cost of the trip wont be available until a long time after.

    I would not recommend this app. Initially seemed ok but in the last year the time you wait for the car is at least double compared to what it says. It starts with 3 minutes and stays ther for 4 minutes then other 4 minutes showing 2 and eventually you wait for 10-12..

    Terrible service that lacks any security at all. Have recieved multiple emails of someone using my email address for their rides as there is no email verification etc.. would be extremely worried to use this service and put payment details into it. Sort this out... Their support service is also so slow.. why make it look like a live chat service when it really isn't.

    They are good in meeting up in time when you book for ride, but most of the car are little too rugged to be cabs and most of them dont use their AC well making you sweat inside the car.Please try and make your your App friendly enough to have an instant customer care line to call in the event of a problem.

    Can you please find a way to show your drivers whether the rider has selected cash or card. It's ridiculous the amount of times drivers ask me to go by the atm with them to withdraw money because they don't want to accept card trips because they need money for petrol/gas. It's a waste of my time and extremely dodgy. Please do something about this.

    Programm has no security features, like account pincode option to check sessions and disable them if needed. My account was added to another phone in result that phone took a ride without premission and i cannot even remove them from app or there is no pin option when need to accept ride. Bolt add security thing it super important!

    My last experience wasn't so good. My driver insisted on using longer routes, with the excuse of saying if water touched his car, it could stop working. We ended up heading towards a bad hold up that lasted 3hours. My bill was almost 5000naira. When the estimate was 1800naira. I know rain fell that day. But it did not stop other vehicles from passes the fast route. I tried rating the trip, but my complaint went to your general website. Please make sure your vehicles are well serviced.

    The drivers cannot be contacted through the app, it givers error. also, the driver's car position is not updated on the map in real time, so the customer is not able to know where the car is and in how much time the driver will arrive at the pick-up point. And when the driver finally arrives to pick up the customer, the app is not updating the status, that the driver arrived at the pick-up point. So, the driver have to call the customer to inform him that he is waiting at the pick-up point

    Once you're in the car, the service is as good as should be expected. The app is plagued however with heavily inaccurate waiting times and seems to send drivers in the wrong direction regularly before picking you up. I've had the app tell me that a driver would arrive in 1 minute only to wait over 15.

    App has the WORST gps/directions. app says driver will be there in 1mins, but then only arrives 10mins after that. Frustrating when you go down to meet them and still have to wait. And it happens every time! The cars are also beat up and dirty most of the time. Really unimpressed with Bolt.

    Bolt does a really bad job of estimating wait time and price. They do such a consistently bad job that I would guess it's on purpose. Rides basically always cost 10-20% more than estimated. It's so consistent that I checked the settings to see if I had input an automatic tip. And the wait time.... is totally ridiculous. Also if you contact them, they just say, "Sorry this is how the app works," but I noticed below every bad review they suggest contacting them 😂

    The map should still be worked on. It doesn't allow to change your location and also you should make it possible to decide whether you select destination or not. Overall, the quality is great, taxi drivers arrive fast and the service is cool.

    First trip free for a referal is a lie. I did not receive my first trip free neither my friend got a discount for reffering me because the promotional code was not working. Some system error.     I love it..It's easy to use but can the drivers be a little early because sometimes it says in 5 min but when u request it extends the minutes again otherwise it's good haven't encounter any difficulties yet

    1. Bolt is deliberately picking longer routes to destination. Regardless of what app the drivers use for navigation because the given route comes form Bolt. I've experienced this three times last week. This is dreadful for the drivers as you would naturally blame them. 2. Time of driver arrival, the information given is usually of by 5,6 minutes. 3. Drives attitude and professionalism is poor. Clearly there is no ranking system. Overall a cheap and poor service, I will go back to using UBER!

    I just used the app for the first time and it didn't show the driver moving at all. My money was deducted but the driver never showed up. When I went back into the app, it started a new session. There's no way you can contact the driver, it says order not found. I hope I will be reimbursed!

    I can't sign in. When I request an SMS, that doesn't come through and when I request a call back, that doesn't work either till it says I've requested many sms codes. Then logging in with Facebook doesn't work either because "my Facebook isn't linked and I should sign in " What happened to signing in using email?

    Drivers will pick you up, not even greet you and drive as slow as they possibly can (18mph on a 30 road). App not accurate, driver's arrival time keeps changing and that is if the ride is not cancelled once they're 5 minutes away. If you need a 10 minute ride, you need to start looking at least 30 mins before. Customer service poor, vouchers earned by referral keep dropping their values. While it's cheaper than Uber, you slowly start understanding why.

    The cars are in terrible condition and the drivers always take longer and I end up waiting way longer than what was indicated on the app. The customer is charged extra if the driver waits however we should get a discount for waiting longer. The drivers also never pitch where you indicate on the app and so far every bolt driver I got was miserable. I also shared the code with quite a number of people and they informed me they used my code, they never got the first ride free or the voucher sent.

    Would prefer to provide two ratings - one for the app and one for the driver. Rarely, if ever, do I have a problem with the driver. But the app navigation is bad. The app sends the d iver in big loops to the pick up location.

    Very good value price wise, not great when it comes to pick up times. They can change frequently and randomly which is very annoying. Especially in the cold weather!!

    The app is fine. the only annoying thing is everytime you go to book a bolt the time it tells you in terms of your driver arriving is never accurate. and whatever sat nav they use always take the longest route possible.

    The app is okay, however it should provide more option cancellation for example; there is need to create column for when the driver is not able to reach out and his contact is not reachable.

    Great app..The app is easy to use and drivers are mostly clean and neat, fee estimator is good..sometimes they offer a discount which is great.

    Seemed like a less costly uber, not been using long - booked a ride yesterday, driver went straight past me and didn't stop ... I tried to book a new ride but app said transaction in progress. Then I was charged for the ride. Contacted support, no reply :( not a good experience.

    The bolting experience is nice.. Bt this app is constantly making my phone heat up.... When i first installed it my phone became so hot... I uninstalled all my last installed apps... It stop sone days later to confirm my suspicion my my phone is unbearably hot. Please look into it.

    Nice app but always difficult to open. U keep updating every now and then. U could get stranded many times if u are relying solely on it for your movements. Step up your game Bolt. Thanks

    Charged surge pricing (x2.4) in Paris from the airport, the app did not state this beforehand, I showed them screenshots of similar trips from the airport that did not have surge pricing applied which they ignored, they closed the customer support ticket without it being resolved - terrible service - no recourse for errors that occured due to a problem with their app and pricing

    Not bad but your pickup times are ALWAYS longer than shown. If app says 4 minutes it's usually 10, if it says 10 it's 20.... Just stop lying! Also cannot add a stop on the way so two people with different destinations need to get two separate cars

    First time using this app, I had a journey confirmed, then the journey vanished after the estimated arrival time went back and forth between 2 and 5 minutes. After the journey disappeared all journeys went up in price so I won't be using this app again!

    It is a good app but it seems sometimes that it has some issues. You can't tell when the driver is coming because map is not updating in real time.

    1. Add an option to rate drivers especially those who decline rides in Kenya. It's a natural thing for drivers to ask where you are and where you are going to, payment and even mode of payment. Once they know, they simply decline the ride or arrogantly tell you to ask for another ride elsewhere. There's a much more better service with competitors like Uber /boda app 2. You claim a 50% discount in the app but in reality it's just the same amount multiplied and canceled to appear as a discount

    When i am trying to put prome for discount it is showing unknown occur for many times,now i am thinking whats the need of refering to others when we are getting nothing from bolt regarding promo discount, if it happens once okk we think that might be technical problem but everytime it is showing like this, please fix itt

    I have bn trying to delete my card from the payment options all to no avail, thot it was due to the fact that i had not updated the app, bt even after the update i still can't delete the card, i swipe to the left fr the delete option bt it swipes bk itself immediately, pls what is the problem.

    Very disappointed with this service my fare was nearly double what it was quoted although I was offered £5 off my next fare it doesn't make up for the original fare ,told family and friends to delete this app before it happens to them ,will never use again

    Use it all the time!!! Great app! So user friendly. All i said to myself before using Bolt-i just expecting friendly drivers that arive to pick me up??!!! And so far i've meat top friendliest drivers. Thankx brothers.... Keep it up!!

    1. Application needs to be more friendly. 2.Only usable for source from here to destination rides. 3.Nearly impossible from other location to multiple destination. 4.Map is inaccurate.

    I have not been able to register with my number on the app. Im not getting and sms codes and the other options are not working either. Ive tried updating and uninstalling and installing...nothing works
