On 1st July 1957, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board  (TNEB)came into being and has remained the energy provider and distributor all these years. 
        After 53 years of journey the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board was restructured as per G.O.114 dated 08.10.2008 by establishing a holding company with the name "TNEB Ltd" and two subsidiary companies namely "Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Ltd.,"(TANTRANSCO) and "Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd.," (TANGEDCO) as per the mandatory requirements of the Electricity Act 2003. Accordingly TNEB Ltd., was formed on 01.11.2010.

    To check usage this is fine. Leaving aside app experience and intutiveness, I see that when we pay there seems to be some extra charges which we see at the payment gateway. I could easily make payment using Phonepe without any charges

    I paid online and the money is debited from my bank. Though the app says "BANK APPROVAL AWAITED". THE BILL IS ALSO NOT PAID. Terrible app. Do not show how many units are consumed, what is the last date to pay bill, etc... Come on, it's 2020, better be more transparent.

    Good initiative but app can be much better.. When i click to see the usage, it just loads and nothing comes as a result.. Needs more transparency on the readings and how the bill has been calculated. Also, payment option is not user friendly..

    Tangedco was a very convenient app for me in paying electricity bills. I feel proud of using a GOI app. But last few months, i had some trouble using the app as it said there are no bills for me! I am waiting for the day it becomes an app in the reckoning. Thank you!

    One of our digital meters is not functioning for the past three months. Though the issue has been raised in the website as well as with the officials the issue is yet to be resolved. And there is no provision to raise the issue in the app.

    Most of the time it doesn't allow to make payments, even through other platforms it will be biller unavailable. Worst of all customer issues are least bothered no one takes ownership, they simply close the tickets with out resolving keeping them open for months. TNEB is the most corrupted dept in the state no body work or address customers issue unless they are paid or pushing from the top leaders

    Unable to authenticate device error. Uninstall reinstall many times, still not working. This app was working on my device oneplus 6t for the last year, suddenly it gets authentication error since last 3 months. Many users have this problem, maybe issue seems to be with android P and Q. Developers are not responding still? Still no update? Reinstalled today but same error. Seems developers have stopped working on this app now. How to minus 5 stars for this app?

    Very worst application, today I am paid two bills through sbi account and deducted 11.80 Rs per bill. If I am paying my bill through Google pay/SBI they are not deduct any amount. Very worst so deleted my account and going to uninstall.🀬

    I am giving 3 star to this app due to there is no invoice Or receipt is available for the payment. View Or share receipt is available while clicking on the share receipt the page gets blank and unable to get the receipt.

    I have rated 3 star, since there is no option for upi transaction in a government based application. Also need to increase all bank intial debit card payement, since only 2 private banks are added. Rest only net banking. Also kindly add all transactions we have paid in a single page. Feedback section , we should have option to rate what we have experienced. Example, customer care rating cant be doen unless used. similiarly for other parameter. Thanks.     I think this is not a government app, I have installed 1st time today and trying to sign up but it shows some error messages and shows me to register my mail Id and contact number. I have registered and received mail too. But it shows that the account will be deleted in 7days and the request sent for claim processing I don't know what is happening. Then I uninstall this app. While installing this app it access all our mobile contacts and gallery requests to gather our information. Worst app

    Why is the app asking for acess to photos/local file? On denying the log in is not happening. Is accessing local information of user such a critical feature to pay electricity bills? If the app developer or TANGEDCO believes it is helping customer by having a specific app like this, then it shud have wide payment options like UPI.

    This app is good no doubt in that but it is missing an important feature - printing receipt for records, if we want to print an eBill on the go this is not helping. This feature must be implemented for this application.

    Absolutely terrible app. The main purpose of this app is to facilitate payment of EB bill, which is not even proper. The payment gateways don't work half the time. Even if they finally manage to work, you'll have to do the login procedure all over again. Even after doing the login procedure it doesn't allow to make payment. The EB staff are rude and their behavior is abysmal. Worst app and worst department.

    This app was working perfectly fine till I did the Android upgrade on my OnePlus 6 mobile. After the upgrade the app is throwing the error, " Unable to Authenticate your device. Please use a valid one" and does not proceed to login screen. I suppose the app is not compatible for Android 10. No updated version in the recent time. Can the developers please fix the problem and help us to continue using the application.

    A good app. However, There is a bug. After credit card transaction is completed a "Transaction failed" message is received with "please try again". The payment is deducted from credit card. However, the payment gets resolved after a couple of days. This is very confusing,

    As per my experience with this app, the previous UI option are too good. Now so many changes are there. I paid to my EB account. Still, its showing Bank approval waiting which is not in the previous version of this app. I don't think that really need to fix bugs. If there, just fix it.




    Using TNEB APP from OnePlus 6 Device with Android Version 10. I'm unable to open the application with this Version, throwing error "unable to Authenticate your mobile device. Please use a valid one." I was able to open the app with My previous Android Version. Upon Android OS upgrade I'm not able to open the app. Support email ID is no longer available (a valid email). Need support ASAP

    Recently did Software Update to my Mi A2 with Android 10. The update reconfigured and optimized all the apps (This is normal). I am able to open and use other apps but when I open TANGEDCO app, it says "Unable to Authenticate your Mobile device. Please use valid one." I uninstalled and reinstalled. But still facing issue.

    Buggy app. It doesn't show any details most of the time. Mostly it will tell you, unable to process your request,try later again. If you're lucky, you get usage details sometimes. It's TNEB app, so you can't expect anything good from them.

    The application is good. I have one suggestion to developers. While checking transaction, please let the date be chosen as range. Of I know the date I pay, why would I want to check the transaction. If I have to choose month, it will be great. Choosing date is the worst way to develop.

    Try this only in the extreme event of inability to use the PC or you are having plenty of money for payment. After you receive instant debit message from paying Bank this App lags for ages then say : "transaction failed, do you like to make any more payment". Instead of these speculations one better makes payment in EB cash counter.

Important part is, one cannot reach the app team on the email ID provided here in the Developer contacts. Email ID does not exist at all

    I tried to open the my bill section several time. But I am not able to even see the bills. Immediately exiting the app when I am clicking my bill tab. Why this much confusion in this app. Precious version is some what OK. Why tneb is not notifying this to rectify the problems in the app. Just waste of time with this app. Try to improve than private apps. They are having faster connection than you like phonepe and gpay

    Authentication error after updating device to Android 10. The Email address provided in contacts, [email protected] is invalid as well. I think this is no more maintained. The last update was 2 years ago. Wouldn't recommend using as there might be security issues as well which are not getting fixed anymore.

    The app is possibly stealing persobal data. Why does this app need additional permissions? And why the hell itndoes not work if i do not give permission to make calls and access media? I dont see a reason for the app to stop working when access to phone's storage is denied. I suspect the app tries to steal personal data.

    This app is redicolous, usually app should get closed only when device back button is clicked 2wice. But here app is getting closed of first click itself. Navigation should be improved. I dont see navigation from signup page to signIn page. since app will close it device back button is clicked from signup page. During forgot password, claim is getting submitted. Im not sure, who will receive the voilated email. I never entered application, but i can aee many bugs in before signIn pages.

    My bank account with UCO BANK but unfortunately it is not listed in payment options neither in net banking as well in credit and debit cards issued by uco bank. Also add more banks and third party applications such as paytm, mobikwik etc. Waiting for the possible changes in the application.

The last time this happened I got the same message and I ignored it. I was forced to make the payment once again. Update: The app still states "Bank Aproval Awaited".
