A fun and addicting game, but balance is required. As a fan of the Marvel: Avengers Alliance game on Facebook, I love it. However, the game has many overpriced microtransactions to the point where it just seems ridiculous. In fact, some of the characters are almost impossible to unlock, unless you pay for them or a 'chance to get shards' for a specific character without even a guarantee to fully unlock said character. I don't want to make this review seem too negative. I really enjoy this game.

This game is great! I love advancing through the campaign, cooperating with my alliance, and leveling up my characters! When you boil it down, those are the most fun things about it and I like that. I don't know what these neutral and negative reviews are talking about though, microtransactions exist in the game, but I made it to player level 65 without them bothering me much at all. And if the time limit or the animations bother you, speed up the combat! You can do that and it saves you time!

  3. Sammy Suri-avatar

My favorite thing is the variety. Variety in: heroes, skills, game modes, events... And the best thing about the heroes variety is that it's never useless to invest on many of the heroes. Cuz the game can make use of most of them. Therefore most of the heroes have their own unique role in the gameplay. Though the most immediate problem in my opinion is that most teams are exactly the same and u can't be much innovative with your team selection.

  4. Joseph Vang-avatar

Over 100 charaters to collect with fun and unique abilities. Pair that with updated game modes and rewards and you have the reason I've played this game for nearly two years! New players will find it hard to compete with older players, but such is the nature of these games. With that said, they have become apathetic towards serious character release mistakes that have hurt the community. Be prepared to have new characters bugged/falsely advertised after you purchase their offers. 1 out of 5.

  5. Jom Narvaez-avatar

Great graphics, great gameplay. Hopefully they will add more characters in the future. With the Black Widow movie coming it would be a great idea to add up Yelena Belova and Red Guardian in the Roster. Maybe in the near future, I might be able to play with Moon Knight also. But all in all, a marvelous work of art. Keep being generous with the Daily Rewards and you will find your players more addicted to this game.

  6. Kgv13 M-avatar

Since the last update all you get is either the famous "anomaly detected" or the game doesn't even load. It only loads after 10 or 12 tries, it keeps getting stuck on 42% and then 99% and then "anomaly detected" and no it's not my phone also no it's not the WiFi signal cause I'm not the only one with this problem. 5 or 6 of my team members have the same problem and we all live in deferent country.

  7. Super Bleeder-avatar

This game is exactly what it should be. It's fun to play but if it gets too grindy its really easy to sim and I can usually get all my daily done in like 15-20 minutes. Characters are well executed and the only real complaint could be that there are no alt versions of characters. But that's very minor considering how well the current roster is handled.

  8. Leonardo Ruiz-avatar

The game has good visuals. You can tell there's been a lot of work put into it. The business model will ruin all the fun though. They basically want to frustrate you into spending money for a chance at progress. It's gambling disguised as a video game. And if you're not paying with money then you're paying with your valuable time. As free-2-play you will have to spend most of your day repeating tasks for minimum progress. It's honestly disgusting and I hope it becomes illegal someday.

  9. Walter Wiggins-avatar

Ive been playing since release. Like anything it has pros and cons. It's fun with frequent updates, opportunities for ftp, the community is good for the most part, and its visually appealing. Cons are it is expensive especially for new players, the frequent updates can be bad as you dont have time to level a character before a new one is out, red stars are absolutely key & totally random, and they dont give out enough gold. This is a mobile game tho. I've seen more expensive & less expensive.

  10. Robert England-avatar

I have dropped my review to a 1. The game starts out fine, but you will find after a year that there is no possible way to compete with players who spend a lot of money on the game. Period. You will never get #1 at anything unless you spend, literally THOUSANDS of dollars. Balancing is a joke, they simply add more powerful toons to encourage more spending on upgrades making earlier toons increasingly useless. A pointless waste of time in the long run, avoid this unbalanced mess at all costs.

  11. Lee Peer-avatar

I like the game, but it always shuts down for no reason. Please fix this. I want to keep playing, but when I'm in the middle of a battle, and the app just closes, it wastes the points and energy used on the mission, and then you have to reload the game. It's frustrating and ridiculous. If this didn't happen, I would gladly rate it 5 stars. Since it does, I can only give it 3.

  12. Ricardo Lima-avatar

Great gameplay, and battle interaction and... that's it! It was a great game until the company just started to focus on money. Everything about this game is about money! Do expect a lot of bugs, game crashes and screen freezes and then, the best part... devs award you with stupid rewards for it! Don't recommend this game, if I knew what I know today I wouldn't spent a dime in it!

  13. Jacob Brumbach-avatar

Slowing declining. When I downloaded this game in the summer I loved it. Great game. Didn't have to spend rw monies in order to be competitive. The biggest problem is the creators have slowing taken out free ways to promote characters and made it harder to earn "crates" without paying money. Very disappointing. But am an everyday player.

  14. Amit Patel-avatar

Well the drop rates are really bad for specific items, especially if you are looking for it, seems like intentionally the drop rates are brought down and you see a buy option for that, so it's even more suspicious, the game is good and fun, war and raids with alliance members but on individual level it seems unfair and only ppl spending more money are the winners. So, won't appreciate it until it's fair.

  15. Robert Horner-avatar

Excellent graphics and gameplay. It is costly, though, which is what prevents a higher rating. Premium content, in this case one character in a mobile game, should not cost as much as a triple-A game on a platform like Xbox One or PS4. And that's just to access the character. Getting that same character up to level and power can easily be as much or more again. Of course, you don't need to pay anything to play, but the grind is rage-quit-worthy otherwise.

  16. Chris Pagel-avatar

Avoid. Pure Frustration drives way-overpriced in-game purchases. Agonizingly slow progress (years !). Hard to play "free" against paying "whales". Huge time commitment through the day, and a "blitz" can eat an entire weekend for very little reward. Novelty wears off after a month, it's a matter of who presses more buttons daily than skill. Strong gambling component. App relies on the sunk-cost fallacy to keep you playing, and frustration to get you to buy/ gamble insanely priced characters.

  17. Jeremy Hoffman-avatar

Overall a good pay to be powerful game, but I truly do not like the fact of collecting the character shards, and the shards I earn or win from orbs DO NOT SHOW UP! It has happened with multiple characters, Cull Obsidian, Vision, captain America... to name few. Mostly happens with the more valuable characters, or the ones that take more shards to collect. What else am I not receiving that I'm not catching? Help!

  18. Isaac Schactler-avatar

    Isaac Schactler

I've had this game for about 2 years now. I've had enough.a combination of things but tipping point = Spend over $200 on a new team(BO) that was promised to be the new meta for a very competitive game mode, and they are horrid and worse than the CURRENT meta. So uninstall 1.If you have no problem spending $$$ OR you're not a competitive person, then by all means install this game. You will go far if your spend money and a lot of it. 2. RnG based progression is what makes you spend that money.

  19. Nabeel Ebrahim-avatar

I love this game. Been playing for about 2 years now, I just have 1 request.. Can you please add more saved squads? I have alot more than 15 squads and with our list of characters always growing and improving (thanks for that). Some of my teams I need to select manually, additional squads will make it more convenient, other than that.. Really great job this far..

  20. Sam W-avatar

This is my third try with this game and the graphics are just horrible. Even on a brand new tablet, the characters aren't polished and look like very poorly pixelated. The fighting is very cartoon-ish and SLOW. Getting any character you actually want to use (besides Spider-Man) takes weeks of grinding. The drop rates on chips are horrible as well. So youre stuck with the same characters as everybody else. Good idea but very poor / sloppy execution. I would give ZERO stars if possible.

  21. Brandon Deadman-avatar

    Brandon Deadman

I have been playing this for like three and a half months, amazing game! I usually play for like 3 hours straight. A amazing list of characters, some really fun combat and tactics to use. The animation for the combat is fun and more than one way to do the same attack!!! The only thing I don't like is some characters you basically have to pay to get!!! And they're not cheap!!!

  22. Duo vinteoito-avatar

Was a great game until they released the Red Star system. Then the game become hugely RNG dependent. For that reason, the biggest wallet have the better chance to get higher star heroes. Otherwise the game have great visuals and nice collection of heroes. Just don't play it for the competition or prepare to be frustrated. Not what I look in a game.

  23. Jubal Slone-avatar

Beautiful and fun. Quite a bit of the progression system isn't explained well. You get a tutorial at the beginning but it's a bit overwhelming and then it's gone. Otherwise, it's got a ton of content and it's very satisfying to play One week later. It's still fun but I'm starting to see some serious pay to win details. Some characters are noticeably better than others even when their power levels are super mismatched. The core game play loop is still fun, tho, and it's very engaging.

  24. Spencer Mak-avatar

The game itself is highly enjoyable. Collecting heros, learning strategy, ranking up, dark dimension. Its a lot of fun and holds your interest. The parts of the game that are NOT enjoyable is the stuff the DEVs have control over but just don't care to fix it. War match ups are ugly. Drop rates are miserable. Offers are overpriced and don't even guarantee what you need. Talk to customer support and expect a canned response. Its so frustrating.

  25. Evan Burr-avatar

They like to move the goalposts on "daily rewards" to make it harder to get your character credits. The menu is a confusing overlay of spirals so that it is (purposefully) unclear what in-game currency is being earned or expended. The campaign storylines are very well done and the gameplay is fairly straightforward. The rest is a casino disguised as a grind with no in-game feedback options. More than anything else, ripping me off of my little wolverine-carrot really frustrated me.

  26. Sayrewolf-avatar

I like the terrible writing during the story modes. It adds so much more than similar games out there that it keeps you invested. The UI is pretty clean and easy to grasp, with only a few annoying pop ups trying to get you to buy stuff, which is commendable given the complete clusters that I've seen elsewhere. Character leveling is basic and incremental in the worst way but the individual ability leveling actually feels like you are getting an interesting boost everytime. One of the best on here

  27. Ally Sommy-avatar

This is what you call a timed game. You can unlock a large portion of the game if you have thousands of dollars to spend. But if youre f2p you need to login everyday to reset nodes collect character shard etc. Log off play another game then login the next day. It is fun for 1-2 hours a day. But this is not your main source of entertainment due to the way the developers limit your resources.

  28. Brice Davis-avatar

Excellent game. The Devs do seem to listen to the community (unlike CG, SWGoH). There are things that need to be fixed, but the game play is fresh and exciting. New character kits add new dynamics instead of breaking the game. Characters are accessible and very little is hidden behind a paywall. Best collector game by far. There is something for everyone in this game.

  29. James Stack-avatar

During the Re-Energize event, I was using 50 power cores to refresh my energy. I drove home from work, ate dinner and logged back in to continue and I didn't realize the event ended. This resulted in an accidentally energy refresh costing me 1200 power cores that I have been saving for months! Support told me in a generic response message that they couldn't do anything. What kind of customer service is that? I've spent real money on the game. And play hours per day. Seriously???

  30. C.A. Morgan-avatar

Cant turn off popup offers!!!!! Takes forever to load. 42% load bug not addressed. Bugs abound. Takes 4 clicks to accomplish tasks when it should take one. Cant save speed of play. No auto play in blitz. Gear supplies is broken. If you take a call during play, state not saved, turn is lost. Too many new characters, not enough bug fixes or automation improvements.

  31. A Google user-avatar

Great game, great crew working it. I absolutely love Strike Force! I like that it takes time to progress exponentially, it makes you appreciate what you've worked for. . Love the support team, they are always courteous and willing to answer and address any questions or issues u may have. thanks...Im an avid everyday player . . . I have one major request tho . . Please please please bring Gambit to the xmen team!!.Gambit please!!!!!!

  32. Mr. Snaz-avatar

I'm a regular player of the game. After hearing the developers would make an Apex arena team I decided to spend more to ensure I got them to the good level early. They are TOTALLY disappointing vs the expectations we were given. They are still a good team but not "apex arena". Also, they seem to lack a QA department as there are multiple bugs that come with each release. They are fixed eventually but we shouldn't have to play through it as consumers.

  33. James Burke-avatar

awesome so far. just need to fine tune moving between screens. still a little clunky at times. But other than that, an awesome game that will only expand outward and be even more enjoyable to play. I love the ever increasing roster in which to play with, ticks all my boxes as a comic book fan of Marvel. Update: Still very much in love with this game and keep up the good work.

  34. Jason Deal-avatar

Fun for a while, but the company running it now seems to be ruining the game. Most recently, they screwed up on level settings for a weekly challenge, so they're rolling back progress for all players that completed the challenge. Other progress is severely gated behind RNG on items in a store. The real bottlenecks aren't farmable. There are much better games out there, this one is past its prime.

  35. Giles Ingham-avatar

An enjoyable game especially if you are a Marvel fan of course. Like most mobile games gameplay is designed to frustrate you into spending extortionate amounts of money to develop characters. However you can progress free to play or small spend if you are patient. Leave the big spending to the whales who have more money than sense and they will no doubt keep the game solvent and in business.

  36. Dan Wilson-avatar

Great game, it's getting better with each update too..!! I like that you are able to get the critical items in the game by playing instead of always needing to purchase a majority of the items. I hope the character drops get a little more frequent, cause it takes a lot of time to build up any character from scratch. It definitely needs more crystal drops and ways to earn them.

  37. Chris Schaaf-avatar

Still the same complaint, the most needed materials, specific materials for each character are NOT available in daily game, they had one event where they made the special materials available, but you only get a few of what you need MAYBE...Starts out good, to suck you in, it is so bad that it will literally take at least a year, if not 2 years to get the materials needed to get to the next level, what a waste of time & energy, boring doing the same thing everyday just to get nowhere...

  38. John Milner-avatar

The game is totally P2W but it does have decent graphics. 98% of the offers or insanely overpriced. Controls are simple enough. characters background does play into there abilities which is nice(ish). Its an insanely long rinse and repeat grind. Could use update to Ultimas Raids. Been playing same map since I started 2y ago, and I still dont have a 7rs toon. Character updates happen frequently enough with mini games for them.

  39. Ted Nam-avatar

Game is incredibly fun if you can see beyond the very predatory nature behind many aspects of the game. If you are someone who doesn't spending here and there, the offers are, 99% of the time, blatantly insulting. Example: for $35 you can get a fraction of the shards necessary to enhance a hero that is otherwise 100% NOT-farmable. Progress is possible for F2P players, but it will be at an incredibly slow pace and often times unbearable. Respect your player base and they will spend happily.

  40. Lawrence Norton-avatar

    Lawrence Norton

Very expensive , As much as $60 for ONE level for some heros . They repeat the same bliztes for useless heros like Hawkeye . Be prepared to spend thousands of dollars if you want a decent rooster of Heros or Villains . Value versus cost is not here , look elsewhere . The shame is that it is actually a good game , to bad you need a second or third morgage to win .

  41. David Saucedo-avatar

The game runs very well, I'm using a tab s5e. Its your standard turned based strategy game. You make your teams with marvel characters if you set the right team they give each other buffs. It can push you to pay to win but you can absolutely acquire a strong team just by playing the game. If anyone saw marvel's defenders on Netflix then you can build that squad on this game just simply by playing its little campaign missions and it is a very strong team. But it will take you time.

  42. Tejas Suryavanshi-avatar

    Tejas Suryavanshi

God damn it!!!! You should add a confirm option while we buy anything with the power cores, I was just scrolling through and accidentally touched the buy option for an offer and 450 power cores disappeared in a flash, I was saving them for another thing which was for a limited time, now it will go away and I could never buy it..... Please change the feature ASAP... I'M JUST VERY ANGRY RIGHT NOW!!!

  43. Bhriguraj Bordoloi-avatar

    Bhriguraj Bordoloi

One of my favourite games. Loved Marvel anyways, so had to love the game, the characters. Always updated. Not many issues while playing. Always get free goodies in case of any problem faced. They actually make up for it. Requesting the developers to bring in more characters. It will be fun.

  44. Jason Nelson-avatar

Played for just about a year. Got super into the game as a mostly ftp player. Got my wife into it too. Was fun to have a common game to play with her. Today my wife's account lost 8400 cores (~$95 USD) to bad UI when it was buy 120 energy for 50 cores. Support unhelpful and uncaring. No refunds no reverts, can't help you, you messed up, not our fault. If our escalated ticket fails, she is going to quit. I am going to follow. Plenty of other games with caring support and communities out there.

Appears to be well balanced and fun progression- at least from initial experience from level 1 to 10. Graphics are good, short story clips to the campaigns are enjoyable and character progression is well thought out. It does have micro transactions but initially they do not appear to be as necessary or as pestering with notifications as many of the other tiered progressive mobile games. Overall, appears balanced and has a decent progression. I will assess again in 30 days.

  46. Mike Casey-avatar

They continue adding too many characters too fast to keep up with, without literally spending thousands of dollars on shards and gear and gold. The graphics/animation are top notch. The devs get a zero-star rating for being the greediest and most clueless on the planet. IAP's are way too expensive and frequently just give you a CHANCE at something good in a lottery system that rarely pays off. Worth playing but DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.

  47. A M-avatar

Played this game for over 2 years. Spent some money, but mostly I had the possibility to grow, of course harder, by just playing the game. Recently the developers thought to just piss on players that don't whale out, by making the game almost impossible to evolve if you don't pump money. 1st star - because I still have love for the game 2nd star - respect for the work that people, before this development team, have done. You don't deserve the other 3 thanks to your GREED!

  48. Brad Harder II-avatar

Currently unbearable load time. P2P masked as an F2P... This is a fun game, but unless you want to pay for extremely overpriced "specials" you will not get the good characters first. If you do buy them, they only come as a baseline character and you have a lot of work (or additional money) needed to make the character useful in game. After some time as a "dolphin" I've made manageable progress, but to get a powerful team takes a lot of time and money if you can spare it to trim down the grind.

  49. Gerald Slonaker-avatar

    Gerald Slonaker

This could be a great game but it comes up short since the developers aren't really interested in creating a game that challenges the user to create their own winning teams. The team's are basically setup with predetermined outcomes against other teams and even as you level your teams that relationship to other teams remains the same. Additionally,Alliance war matchmaking is pathetic since it doesn't consider Alliance strength when creating the war matchups resulting in mostly one-sided matches

  50. Jon Raymond-avatar

Really like the game except for the fact that gold is required for everything! It's the bottleneck in the game. They NEED to offer more opportunities to accumulate gold. Second, make the stored energy level higher! I can play for about 10-20 minutes then have to wait hours for enough energy to accumulate to play again. Other then that, i really like the game.

  51. bluntsku11-avatar

Overall it's a very fun game and has kept my attention better than most. I haven't spent a dime and after 6 months, I feel like I have a decent squad to show for it. Get in a good Alliance for you. That is a game changer. Also participate in everything no matter how good or bad you do. You get rewards and anything gained is better than nothing.

  52. the PARIAH-avatar

Part wonderful game for the excitement and fun of Marvel. On the other hand to advance be expected to open your wallet wider than buying a hooker in Vegas between Christmas and New Years Eve. The finance/devs won't listen to the players and it is killing the game. The "new game modes" for a year are new characters which on average cost $35 just to unlock and are unplayable. Red stars are a joke in price/odds but to be playable and advance you must have them. Love the game but about done with it.

  53. David Kern-avatar

Reduced to 1 star. Been playing this gane over a year, and I am now deleting it due to the fact that every time you twits put out a new update, it breaks your programming. Every single time... Update? Glitch. Update? "Issues". Update? Bugs. Update to fix previous "issues" and bugs? New ones arise. Test your patches before release, be sensible. When did we all become "okay" with half-assed programming becoming the new normal business model for a company to profit from?

  54. keith marzelos-avatar

Overall this is a great game and worthy of 5*. I'm still playing this after more than 2 years and I can't say that about any other mobile game. There have been occasions where I'd have scored lower due to connection bugs but the devs eventually resolved. Fair mechanics and involving gameplay. You don't need to pay but you can. In my opinion I feel the sales are expensive but they're not necessary so all good. Regular updates help keep interest going. Dailies and raids nicely balanced.

  55. Cody Schroeder-avatar

Every time you open a menu or change pages in a menu, another popup offering some "limited time deal" appears. This happens so often that the popups will close out the daily rewards window before you can claim them. The popups are so frequent that they cause crashes and glitches where the game blurs out as if it's going to offer you something, but can't decide which of the thousands of queued popups to show and just freezes as if touched by the captive souls of the developers marvel has enslaved

Wonderful RPG with a vast amount in character selection. I'm still fairly new to this specific rpg but it has underlying principles that I share. These principles are when human laws from physicists are utterly destroyed. I myself have defied man made laws in more then one sense & in wide range of selection. This meaning not only justice but also the theoretical. If your a spiritual person then you already know that the impossible is completely possible & sometimes even probable. Amen!Amen!Amen!

  57. Erik Berdeaux-avatar

The constant updating has made it to where I cant even play the game on my phone, cause the amount of updates have made the game too large to store on my phone. Every update it seems I have to delete more and more from my phone to support the game. Not to mention shard drop rates for good characters is way too damn low. If we spend 100 energy 2x, and get 2 shards, thats insane. Should be more like 10-12 shards for 200 energy.

  58. Brandon Weiss-avatar

Standard pay to play with marvel characters. Poor customer response after purchase don't go through. They surely take your money though. Not really a game worth starting unless you want to spend more than a console game having less play time, there is no way to begin to get ahead without spending money. Unless you started playing years ago. Nice graphics though, almost brought it up to 2 stars, but the game developers greed kept it to 1.

It is difficult to fully review this game because the assets to evaluate exist at the extremes. The graphics are stunning, the fighting is comic-accurate, and the story is fantastic. Their business decisions, however, prevent the players from ever expieriencing it. Greed created paywall barriers gating any chance of a non-launch of a F2P player to see what the game has to offer. Their $ offers are a joke and over two years of a live game, the bugs, powercreep, and balancing are a disgrace.

  60. David Depasque-avatar

This game has major crashing issues even with basic graphics. It seems to be another example of caring more about packs and items in the store then the game. I played a few hours and it was fun but then it started crashing on everything from campaigns to events. I did all that was suggested on the website, tried using a 2nd device and then customer support blew me off twice basically by giving me a very low amount of energy. Thanks for the energy guys but I can't use it. Maybe read the emails

  61. Boris Man-avatar

Nice graphics, but way too much greedy game design. Ever wanted to play that nameless hydra henchman? No? Well apparently someone did since a large chunk of the roster are 'minions' and not actually marvel characters. Actual characters are few and far between without dumping tons of money, and probably about half the events have very specific team requirements that would take massive amounts of money or time to get. And they're mostly time-limited.

  62. alan chavez-avatar

There is waaaaay too much to say about the game that 500 characters won't be enough. The only way I can kinda bring it all together on why I gave it a 2 star rating would be because I would NEVER recommend to anyone. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the game (that's why it's not a 1 star), but there are just so many things that mess that up. Playing with other alliance mates is the best part.

  63. David Hudson-avatar

I really like all of the variation in how you can rank up. I do wish there would be more character shards available than what is currently showing...only issue I am having is with the VS is not that clear to me how that works. I go to the right place and click on it but its like nothing happens.

  64. Audric Yew-avatar

This game is fantastic, I play it everyday and its been real fun for me but i always see a black bezel at the side of my phone so could you please optimize the game for the s10 plus and also sometimes when one character assists the another character in defeating the opponent, it kills the opponent, and then the assist does nothing, so it technically it assisted in doing nothing, so could you please improve and optimize the game a bit more, because I know this game has the potential to do better.

  65. Ryan Collins-avatar

The developers are focused on one thing, squeezing as much money out of the player by dishonest offers. I've played many mobile games, and understand that the way these games make money is through micro transactions, but Strike Force takes it to another level. I highly advise against starting this game, were it not for the time I've invested in it, i would have quit long ago (but won't be spending another penny).

  66. Eric Lamphere-avatar

% and drop rate is very low IMO. Getting close to a year log in strait, and only 2 characters @ 13 tier. I spend aprox 10-50$ a month depending on what's offered. What drives me crazy is spending a days total energy and cores up to 100 refill, just to see maybe one skill increased out of the 6. I enjoy the game, graphics, new modes. Want a higher drop rate to keep up with all these new toons.

  67. Matthew Abero-avatar

This game started off amazingly. I started playing the week it came out and the prices for deals were much more fair. Now, when a new character comes out and its fifty dollars, im not even surprised and i just dont bother. Not to mention the game itself used to look extremely smooth and work very well, but now on both Android and Apple devices the game itself glitches, lags, and doesnt work as intended. I'm ready to give up on the game, but my Alliance is what keeps me here.

  68. Chet Petty-avatar

This is an extremely good example of this type of game with excellent storytelling. EDIT: Even though I'm a big Marvel fan, I'm surprised to find myself playing this, daily, 3 months later. Usually this type of game only holds my interest for a month or two. The developers keep putting just enough freshness to keep me coming back.

  69. Duelist87-avatar

Good for a few minutes a day of grinding just don't expect to be able to compete in half the game modes without spending thousands of dollars. Balancing also doesn't exist so save yourself some time and focus solely on getting a full shield team and spending lots of money to get Coulson/Fury as they easily beat teams twice their strength even after months of the grind. EDIT Power creep is a real issue and they merge pvp servers to screw over your ability to "earn" characters by halving gains

  70. Matthew Kaiser-avatar

This is a fun but addicting game. It's not a game that can be played occasionally, it takes a lot of patience (even with money) it's not an easy ot carefree game but if your into marvel and dont mind the time or effort then this game is amazing. But if your really strapped for time you probably wont be able to keep up or even enjoy it as you should be able to enjoy it.(again even with money)

  71. Sean Wagner-avatar

All my favorite Marvel characters all in one. Yea, you can spend money or not spend. I dont see where it requires me to do so. Grinding? Yea there is. Along with any other mobile game. I've had 0 errors and maybe 1 crash. Cant complain! I do however spend cash. I gotta hide from the wife most of the time because of it but I enjoy the game all around.

You will spend a lot of time declining their limited offer pop up ads then playing. Game takes a while to load and it feels a lot like a pay to win game. I would not waste time with this game unless you are being paid to play. Some of their limited offers are worth as much as a AAA console game. Dont give these greedy developers more of your money for this. Not worth it! Not a fun way to waste your time!

It's fun to play this game, but the company developing the game is constantly changing features in the game to make gamers spend money and changing features that only affect the overall experience in negative ways. They also have a lot of issues whenever there's an upgrade and affect your game: game crashing for all combat modes, losing rewards earned and not having them back (lost 2 megaorbs and they have not given them back to me).

Pretty good game. A bit grindy but if you like that kind of thing go ahead. Decent amount of characters to play with, as well as to unlock. Spend your Ability Materials (the materials you use to upgrade your characters' abilities) wisely, because the more characters you unlock, it will reach a point where there won't be enough Ability Material to go around.

  75. Mark Voiles-avatar

Great game but the time you got to put into a "decent" team (or character) gets limited really fast. You will not be able to get the resources needed for the characters you need to level up to get the characters you need as fast as youd like and the game slowly becomes boring. Still, its a good time killer.

I have played this game since it came out. This is what I have consistently experienced. Cheating runs rampant. You are Micro transactioned to death It is completely pay to win. It's perfect if you have money to throw away. Would be an amazing game if they actually let you play it for more that 20 minutes a day, or if the game was about skill. In my opinion, this game is trash. I wish I could give it ZERO STARS

  77. Connor Storey-avatar

Good game overall, good characters, great art and animations. Devs do a decent job keeping the game up, and give decent compensation for down time, unlike some others. Prices are ridiculous for packs though. Things that cost £30 in this game can be as low as £5 in other games. I like the cheap deals they sometimes do, but they are few and far between compared to the overpriced stuff.

  78. Joseph Erdman-avatar

It's not a "pay to play" game but definitely a "pay to win" game!!! Makes it playing so very incredibly annoying, but as I'm a Marvel fan I am drawn to play all the same. I've accepted that I will never ever see myself in the top 100 on the leaderboards!!! It's funny that in an effort to max out a single character I could grind for a year or more or just pay a months mortgage payment, even that takes a few weeks to wait for the right items to be made available to reach the appropriate quantity.

  79. Ken Moreland-avatar

Great game. Build teams, players. Join a team. Almost always something you can be doing 24/7. If you are patient you don't have to spend a dime to build teams and make players stronger. Haven't been disappointed at all. They are always adding new players and on top of problems. Best game i have found yet that doesn't cost money to build your players. IF YOU PATIENT!!!!!

Really enjoy this game but had a real bad experience. I just spent 2 days worth of currency to auto win nexus 1-9 over 15 times and didnt get one single Iron Fist. I am pretty sure this is broken. I would like to have feed back on how this is possible. Note i am supposed to get x4 Iron Fist shards on chance. I did not get one single shard..

  81. martin macleod-avatar

Graphics look very nice, wish I could adjust them as this game is heavy on battery use. The game is a reskinned clone of Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, while I enjoyed that game, this one lacks some polish in navigating the menus. Upgrading/ equipping troops is a bit slower than in GoH but am sure devs can polish it more. Uninstalling only because I thought this game would be different than the game it's cloned from.

  82. Mr Chairman-avatar

FoxNext/Scopely go to great measures to ignore bugs and issues within their game that demoralize the player base, such as alliance shelling, blitz bots, etc. They actively create "pay walls" to prevent free-to-play players from advancing in the game and promote new and infuriating ways to punish the majority of the player base. These punishment include, rolling back rewards from challenges and advertising "fixes" while back-dooring changes that make previously attainable rewards now unattainable

  83. Angus MacKinnon-avatar

Great controls, tactics, graphics. What absolutely kills this game is the ridiculous amount of money you would be required to be competitive. The top characters need to be unlocked by leveling up specific characters which requires a ton of resources or money. And if you don't get these characters be prepared to get rolled by teams that are much less powerful than yours (resource wise ) due to the ridiculous synergy with these high tier characters making team synergies an absolute must

  84. Seth George-avatar

The recent updates have been a bit better, but still littered with bugs. Game is enjoyable but there's so many things that are super frustrating. Number one being the number of blitz release characters when there is rampant botting (cheating) going on. So far, there's been nothing but inaction on that which is screwing players that don't cheat. Still a bunch of bugs that have been in the game for along time...legendary black bolt's passive not going off all the time being the most infuriating

  85. Lorne Murray-avatar

Sometimes it lags but is ok most of the time... it takes a while to rank up the characters and the drop rates for nodes can be wonky. Overall not a bad experience, but certainly not that great either. Edit: when I've contacted support, I get canned responses. Unless you're a whale, support doesn't care.

This is an awesome game, extremely well made and now has devs that listen to its fanbase. Now not everything is perfect for everyone, there is a tendency for pay to win...but you can absolutely be free to play and complete the game and do "end game" content. So i think its a great game for most ages, its simple enough but can involve major strategic decisions. Highly recommend for anyone who is a Marvel Fan, you absolutely will not be disappointed!

  87. joe t-avatar

The game, in itself, is very enjoyable. The massive amounts of characters is awesome. The graphics and animations are done very well, outside of the occasional bug/glitch. My issue is the bottleneck/grind nature of the game. The legendary characters are extremely hard to attain and take massive amounts of time to do so. Shell alliances are making WARS pointless and offers are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. drop the pricinv please! If you can dedicate time and effort, go for it. Otherwise, stay away.

  88. Mike Mayoralgo-avatar

Play the game as casual as you can if you dont want to spend. If you want to compete, you will have to spend. Game will do a lot of things to frustrate a F2P player. Game is good, I just do not agree with how it frustrates players to spend, its not forcing you but it really feels like that. Been a long time since new features were added, lately its just always new characters. Oh, and their orb rates are fake, good luck with Captain Marvel if you are F2P.

  89. Paul Larsen-avatar

Fun game play, characters are great, lots of reasons to log in every few hours but not required. Offer section is a joke, so expensive I don't even bother looking at them. The pop up ads that show up on log in are instantly closed without a glance. Edit: The offers have been getting better. Occasionally I'll look at them and have made a couple purchases.

  90. John Stoltzfus-avatar

The only reason I've dropped down to a 3 is their current new character release methods. Seems like its always a blitz release any more. The constant blitzing has taken a big chunk of the fun. If you don't do well in blitz you can't get the shards you need to get the characters. This is an enormous time drain. Which wouldn't be in itself bad, but then you need to compete against blitz bots which they refuse to act on. They also have only 2 groups to compete. Too much unfun time in game.

Played for a about 5 months now. Have paied for stuff in game but still cant unlock most of the new people they bring out every week. So all the people that have played longer. Keep growing in power as I cant catch up too them. It was fun but mostly fells like work and the prices are very high far most things. But at least they fixed the loading problem. Even though they posted like it was a problem on my side.

  92. mitch g-avatar

Fun game. Lots to do, alliance based. Customer service was stellar now lacking. Negative is the rng is terrible, constantly raising prices on offers, finding people to join alliance is awful no in game system have to use alternative means. Only way to be competitive is whale harder. Alot of content but very hard for ftp players to even get. Not a new player type game unless you are willing to spend a tremendous amount.

A couple of weeks in an it's a very fun game where you can definitely get good characters guaranteed for daily logins and achievements. It's a big gotcha game with a lot of gotcha mechanics which is why I give it a 4/5. These games would do well to just develop better strategies for fuller games but they know they can make more money this way.

  94. Chaoss Inc-avatar

I had to reinstall the game and lost all of my progress. I was only level 30 but I played everyday and did every daily mission for a week. It sucks to lose all that progress. Every other game started me right where I left off... I emailed support right away and haven't heard back and it's been weeks! What a joke. Customer service is non-existent and they expect me to give them money after being treated like garbage?! Yeah, no thanks.

  95. JVJ-avatar

The game is great desite it's numerous flaws, and will kepp you hooked and enganged for a long long time. Just a word of warning though, if you do suffer from gambling problems you may want to stay clear of this game, as it does bombard you with offers and it's orb systems are chance based. Other than that, fatnastic game that has given me many many hours of enjoyment!

  96. Josh Payne-avatar

I've been playing this from around October and it's without a doubt the best mobile game I have played. It isn't without its flaws, sometimes there bugs etc but it is usually quickly fixed. For people saying it's pay to win, I haven't spent a penny on this game. I'm level 70 and have a great team. Yes paying will speed up the process, but it is very doable and playable with time. The many different game modes keep it very interesting and fresh.

  97. Phillip Burns-avatar

I originally downloaded and started playing MSF a few weeks after it was released. After two weeks I deleted the game as some bugs existed in Arena that quickly turned me off. Fast forward to last week, where I re-joined the game, picking up where I originally left off. I've been blown away by the new game modes, the character art and interactions, and the raids. I'm looking forward to playing for a while this time around!

  98. Kirk Just-avatar

So it is a Gacha game and as such comes with many of the trappings of the "genre". While you will be offered many boosters I never felt compelled to buy. If you play casually, you will still run into the situation with these types of games where you either wait or spend resources. It is also better to think of these games as management style rather than strategic. With that said, I have a higher level of trust given the property than those like Raid that are distributed by gambling backers.

Fun.. Addicting The only thing about this game after grinding grinding and well more grinding.. is the wish that I didn't have to spend money to rank up faster. And when I say money.. i mean money! Yes the free to play is possible.. bit eventually you gotta dro some cash.. to get specific things before events. But the prices are pricey.. but here i am playing any way. Its fun and relaxing. But loss of a store due to Micotransactions

This is one of the very few app games that functions like a videogame. If one does spends real life currency, the return is there due to the content never losing its digital luster. Meaning, however your playstyle is, the time and money you put in will be well worth it. Also, the great thing about this game is that it doesn't require for one to do marathon 24/7 grinds. You can still progress through the game in your own pace with not even spending one penny. Excellent Game!
