Lots of good features but on my phone it's almost unberably slow to switch pages or load information. It's not an Internet issue and my other banking apps (Monzo, etc) all work fine and without issue. It's a shame because starling offer a solid feature set I quite like but I can't see myself using the app regularly when this is an issue.

Very good app with near real time transaction notifications. However wonder why starling can't offer a over draft facility for a customer who had switched from HSBC and had arranged over draft in the past.I think the switching of accounts facility should address this concern. This is a concern for most of the people who have joined Starling.Apart from that, I am a happy Starling customer for over 9 months now. 14/10/21: Starling has offered the over draft facility though it is very minimum

Not just yesterday, but over the last 6 months, I have to regularly re-download this app to access my bank account. Which then only works for a few days, before I get in app messages saying "can't connect to server" and the process starts again. Have tried to resolve twice already, was told to just re-download the app. Have no other problems with any other app on my phone. @Starling, your app sucks and your help in resolving it is not much better. Download Monzo instead

This "new" upgraded app is NOT fit for purpose. I have been trying to access my account since Monday 27th Sept. The help line has been unable to solve the issue. The people are pleasant, but they don't write software and thus can't resolve the issue. Feedback and assurances of resolutions has been non existent. I can't even close the account as I can't get access!!! Please help resolve this and give me back confidence in your bank.

Was working good until I installed it to a new phone. Did all the security questions and video. Now can't open the app. After messaging costumer services. Been told that there is a problem with android phones. It's been a while now. And still can't use the app. Very annoying. Please solve this issue ASAP. Otherwise I have to close the account.

Bank itself is fine, but it's an app-only account so being able to log in at any time is essential. Twice in the last few weeks I've had to re-register myself with the app for no apparent reason & without warning. This means having to record a short video of yourself then wait for it to be authorised - hugely inconvenience at best. Sometimes you have to use the app to verify a card transaction. What happens if you've just filled up with fuel then can't pay because you can't get in? Unacceptable

Despite reassurances by the developer that this wouldn't be the case, I was logged out of the app after the last update and the only way I could get back in was a very lengthy verification process involving a video recording. So, sadly, despite the app being generally good, this rating has to stay as it is for now.

For some strange reason, the app is unable to connect to the server for 2 days. Considering a smart phone is required to access PC/laptop banking I am effectively LOCKED OUT of my account. This is a FATAL FLAW of this SMART PHONE ONLY based app. I have emailed support as there is no phone number to call. Five hours later I am still awaiting a response. Obviously I cannot communicate with support via the app as it fails to connect to server - going round in circles. Considering transferring to another bank that allows internet banking without being tied to a smart phone.

My favourite bank still, but some well intended updates make the app more fiddly to use. I use spaces a lot to manage my budget, and the new update makes it twice as long to add/withdraw money from them. Can we please go back to the old way the spaces worked? There's no need for any of the new stuff in spaces. It's extremely annoying to do a simple transfer in/out now. After the latest update it takes forever to load. I really don't have time to wait half a minute after every click...

Like everyone else, I've been logged out and am have had to go through the arduous login process and am now in the three-hour waiting period for my video selfie to be reviewed. I'll also add that whoever designed the app's UI was focused on making it pretty, not usable. All the UI elements are spread out as far as possible, both horizontally and vertically, meaning your eyes and fingers are moving all over the place. Every time I go to make a payment I'm utterly confused.
