NEW COMMENT: IT'S TIME FOR SQUID TO PROVIDE AN AD FREE PAID VERSION. WAKE UP AND GET IT DONE! BTW why no City news between Canterbury and Brighton, what about Hastings (and Eastbourne). I have no hesitation in recommending SQUID it is hands down the best. I know because I have used it since it first appeared.

Squid notifications don't always show the news item when tap on them, I keep getting a blank screen within Squid app; also, please include an option to select which news sites we want to see news from, I would like to be able to get my news from preferred sites, rather than whatever Squid shares! Thanks.

Good but it's so annoying when you switch to another app for a few seconds and back to squid seeing that the feed is refreshed every single time... I want it to keep the feed position when I leave the app !

Love the app, just let me pay a one off payment of a few quid to get ad free please, I don't care about 40 haircuts which will make an over 60 look 40

Hi, im a new user and after few minutes of playing with this app Ive started feeling lack of function to hide already read articles :/ mobile chrome has some "news articles" on their "start page" and i can just swipe right on those articles that im not interested or already read to remove them from the list and make space for new one, I guess this is not hard feature to implement so I'm looking forward to see it soon! :)

Quick suggestion: could you guys change the share button that stays at the bottom right of the screen when an article is opened? Instead of an arrow, it could be something more suggestive, like android's usual share button or something else. It's not a real problem, but it took me a little until I got that that button is for sharing, not for going back.

Used Squid for a few years. There are some annoying quirks, as it's an agregator it displays articles from the original source within the app. Articles don't always display or interact correctly. Unlike some other agrigators like Google News there isn't a way of simply viewing the original website, so I have to then go to my web browser and search for the article which is tedious. This is presumably so Squid keeps you within the app. I've recently switched to an alternative news agrigator.

I'm giving this app 2 stars because of the complete lack of options barring the ability to enable push notifications. The biggest problem for me is not being able to choose an external browser to view articles in. None of the external apps are opened when clicking on links in an article, like YouTube, and I would have to log into all these services I otherwise already have on my phone. Also sharing options are missing, no copying of the link for example. Shame as the app looks good otherwise.

It's a decent news aggregator and looks nice and works well. The ads can be intrusive. It also doesn't allow me to automatically open links in my external browser and forces you to use its own built it one. This offers no visible controls over cookies, trackers, or viewing history. And that's why I uninstalled it!

It's OK. Much less trash news than many which is good, BUT why am I getting news articles from RT in a foreign language under 'United Kingdom', I have no local news at all for Swindon/Wiltshire and 'The Independent' is unreadable due to invasive advertising that causes the display to break up badly. I had to block 'The Independent' as a result.
