This app doesn't do its job. Tried booking a garage in NYC, but when I drove up, it wasn't accepted. This app wasted my time and money. If you take a look at parking garage reviews on Google maps, you'll see this as a common complaint, that they set up a SpotHero reservation and it wasn't accepted. This means that SpotHero isn't actually working with garages to keep track of parking inventory, and that the garages aren't respecting SpotHero.

Tried this once. Sounded like a GREAT service! Booked our parking spot in Toronto for a Blue Jays game. We were visiting so didn't know the lay of the land etc, and this gave us comfort that a spot was waiting for us. However, we showed up to the parking lot with our RESERVED spot, and the lot was full! And we were turned away to find a spot elsewhere. Totally useless! I think they don't understand the definition of the word Reserved. Despite their terms, they did return our money.

So I don't go into downtown Chicago very often and I thought I would look up a parking app to make my trip easier. I used SpotHero to find a parking spot close to the concert I was seeing at The Chicago Theater. My experience with this app was great. It showed me how far the garage was from the venue the cost and gave me mutie choices for where to park. I'm not tech savvy so I wondered how this would work. You just give them your plate number and pay online and the gate Opens when you arrive

This was the first time using the app. Upon arriving at the parking garage, the code wouldn't scan. I figured it would when I left then. When I went to leave, the code wouldn't scan again. I had to pay to get out. I called customer support and they were not very friendly. They told me to email them my receipt. I did and after a couple of days with no response , I emailed them again. No response. Two days later there was a 5 dollar credit. It cost me 25. Lost 20 bucks. Never using the app again.

Received parking ticket during my reservation, no help from support despite all necessary documentation. Update: Customer service was able to confirm my reservation and provide me a refund for the ticket. I have to give 5 stars for a customer focused resolution. Thank you!

I'm out of the country, had to delay my return & couldn't extend the parking via the app. They said the parking vendor is no longer selling them spots. So I had to figure out who the parking owner was & make seperate arrangements myself. They had no interest in trying to resolve this. Never again am I going to use Spot hero and risk having my car towed if my return gets delayed.

This app crashes before it even starts up. Have tried a thousand times and it does nothing but crash as soon as I try to open it. I have sent multiple reports, they don't seem to care to fix it.

Had one okay experience, but have tried over and over again to use the app and had nothing but problems. Long loading times, inability to find events, and errors that will not let me check out. Terrible and completely useless now.

Scammy practices: there is a fine print about extra oversized vechile fees which inflate the price _post factum_ (when you have no other option but pay) by 40%+ even for midsized 2 row SUV which is no larger than regular sedan and fits perfectly in a standard parking lot. Avoid. Update. Reposing my review again as the original one disappeared from Google Play. Hmmm.

Mostly a good app, but it would be greatly improved if parking passes were cached offline. Parking garages often have poor cell reception, which can lead to trouble when exiting the garage.
