Speed read is the new method of reading books. Speed reading allows the user to spritz through a book a lot quicker than traditional methods, by allowing for words per minute (WPM) control with additional fine-tuning for word length, comma / period delays. Also supports TTS (Text-To-Speech) feature which allows for the user to listen to the book instead. Currently supports PDF, EPUB, DOCX, TXT, MOBI, AZW, FB2, PRC and AZW3 file formats. Users can also copy / paste books from other sources, like web-sites. Books can also be added directly from project Gutenberg.org using the "Search" option. Supports different themes for night and regular reading. Volume up / down controls playback speed.

Since reedy disappeared from the play store I've been testing LOTS of alternatives. This app has all the features I wanted plus some I haven't found anywhere else. There are so many speed reading trainers and so few spritz based readers. Good work guys!

Don't be deceived by the slick icon. The interface is ugly, cluttered, and made even more so by a permanent banner ad. Skip this one.

Great first impression, as I finally found the first ever free app that reads pdf, has a pacer, text-to-speech function. This app is so easy to use. But here's the thing, they cram pages into small fractions which is really confusing. There is also stops in between sentences. This makes you have to have to piece back what you have heard before to what they are now saying to make sense. The punctuations are all messed up which is a terrible idea when there's a LOT of examples in books.

I searched for ages for an app that would allow me to read an ebook quickly by showing one word at a time and this app is exactly what I've been looking for. Good stuff developers. One thing I thought of that would improve it would be changing the default settings to something better, because I had to tweak it a bit before it was perfect. I think adding a comma and period delay (200 and 400ms), a slightly smaller font (eg 32) and a small word length delay (20ms) would be better.

First impressions are positive. It needs some tweaking to get the punctuation and long word delay right but once there it's doing well. The app doesn't look quite as polished as I would like but generally I'm glad to have found it, the other speed read apps I've liked in the past haven't been updated in years

Fantastic in every way. Makes it so easy to stop and quickly re-read material if needed, intuitive and great integration with Google drive. By far the best spritz app you can get and for the super low price, the Pro version is an easy choice. Reading more than ever because of this app.

For Hindi (India) language, the text displays fine in text preview window but gets distorted in the speed reading (flashing spritz) part! Further, the last button (with minus sign) in the top row of buttons wraps to second line, making the interface look awkward and uncomfortable. Other than the above, the program works as intended.

I like that you can load multiple books and have options for dark mode. Compared to Reedy, the word alignment isn't as easy on the eye and is stuck at top of screen vs middle of screen. Maybe an option to move things to the middle if paragraph view hidden? Reedy is also nicer in that you can double tap anywhere to pause and start. Advantage of this over Reedy is it says it can load pdfs

Only true "speed reading" app out there as your "para view" mocks speed reading exactly as if done by pacer (finger) on actual book. Less rating due to these critical issues, after book is uploaded: 1. All words are jumbled together with no spaces. 2. The images/charts etc. disappear Would be ideal if: 1.books maintain thier exact original appearance & 2.App provides only a "chunk adjustable pacer" to speed read along the original book (para view) & RSVP feature separately (no Para view).

When using the audio function (text to speech) at 250 wpm, the reading will be ahead before the text is highlighted. If this can be fixed, it should deserve a higher rating.
