Please please,my m10s loudspeaker so low I found that activing mono audio significantly increase loudness as well clearity but the problem is its not practical to on while on speaker and off while in bt or headset so if its possible to active it certain condition will be appreciate hence the fault is yours to put such a low quality and don't you even know that stereo shouldn't be active while in loudspeaker if you have only one speaker?

  2. guest-avatar

UPDATE 3/2020: Thanks for the option of the button staying on screen for a few seconds instead of permanently. Now, if we can ADD the following apps to control we'd almost be there: Notifications (at the least) & Bixby voice. OLDER: Samsung, please provide a LONG PRESS of the volume key in the notification bar to take us to ALL volume controls, ie notifications, system, calls, media, Bixby. We pay $500-$1,000 for a phone - can't it have basic volume control for what comes on the phone?

  3. guest-avatar

I don't usually take time to comment apps, but to be honest, for any Samsung Galaxy user, this is a must have ! Very powerful and amazing to tweak your sound. Highly recommend

  4. guest-avatar

The last update sucks, now I can't adjust the eq fast and normally from the rotating wheel buttons, i have to press 1 more button to reach there and I'm not complaining just about that, I am complaining about the delay from when I press that button to when the rotating wheels show up WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING SOUNDASSISTANT ARE YOU RECOMPILING YOURSELF EVERY TIME I OPEN YOU

  5. guest-avatar

Amazing app to take better control over the sound of my device. Would recommend to power users and lite users alike.

  6. guest-avatar

Thanks for the new update! It was very buggy on Android 10. But now everything works.

  7. guest-avatar

Great! Has so many easy to use and high-functioning features !!!!

  8. guest-avatar

This app is freezing my screen when I lock and unlock my phone with the floating button opened after update to Android 10. Please fix it

  9. guest-avatar

fix volume over task changer not show, fix song or media/podcast pausing when tencent apps like pubg codm are opened and add multi media playing without pausing and add floating 3 second button by default with multi individual app volume levels control

  10. guest-avatar

Latest update removes tube amp, surround and concert hall options.. Dolby atmosyou can find in the app but on the floating hub only the upscaler is present. This is on oneUI pie.

  11. guest-avatar

The options for bass and treble have stopped working hence why I have removed the app Without this feature I find no use for this app

  12. guest-avatar

Really good app, but would like to be able to change the height of the volume widget

  13. guest-avatar

It's good its accurate and it kind of upgrades your Samsung devices

  14. guest-avatar

Dolby atmos 🔊 n. bit upscaling. Best combination with common Samsung earphones

  15. guest-avatar

customize the volume dialoge feature is not showinh in samsung j7 nxt please fix it.

  16. guest-avatar

Samsung finally brought back the circle knobs that control bass and treble💯💯

  17. guest-avatar

Amazing app add a magic touch to your software thank you Samsung

  18. guest-avatar

Multi sound still works with only one app

Updated the app and the mono function works! Love the app.

  20. guest-avatar

Change the function of assistant pop up tap and tap equlizer install a function direct tap a pop and show equlizer

  21. guest-avatar

    More control to volume level.

  22. guest-avatar

Heeeeey! What the hell did you do with the shortcut to Atmos system settings? Why the hell did you remove it? Are you infected or something?

  23. guest-avatar

This should be integrated into OneUI.

  24. guest-avatar

I was expecting this app to be able to control audio output device, but no. The feature is on another app that I can't find any other use, and it takes up like 200MB of my phone. Why not put it here? The app that supposed to assist the sound can't switch output device, but the app that do home automation does? My phone is almost full and it keeps telling me to delete my photo. Just help me save my storage space by moving that feature here, so I can uninstall SmartThings, please.

  25. guest-avatar

Broke with latest samsung update. Crashes a lot and freezes my entire phone while at it. And why would you remove basic mode from the equalizer area. I just want to easily turn bass up. Not have to go to the hidden settings to then turn bass up and the actual sound assistant not catching up. I give 2 stars for now because if you can bring it back to its old state it is a really good and simple to use thing. But right now a two is the most it deserves.

  26. guest-avatar

Worked fine, till I reset my note 8. I tell it to mute when I turn on my headphones. It either still rings in the phone, and headset, or rings no where, since everything is muted, even when the plantronics bluetooth headset is turned off. Dropping it to one star from 3. Went to a jabra headset, and either in the morning when it is supposed to turn on the ringer it doesn't, or when the headset is turned off, it doesn't switch to use audio, unless I manually turn the ringer on.

  27. guest-avatar

Works great for independent app volume control. In fact, it seems to be the only app I've found that works for Independent media volume control... Only wish it had a built in volume booster due to the fact that multiple apps cannot control volumes independently. (Basically it stops my volume booster app from working while this app is running).

  28. guest-avatar

    Elliander Eldridge

My Samsung S8, when on Speaker mode, is so loud that it hurts my ears on the LOWEST setting. I had hoped this app would let me actually control the volume levels, but it doesn't. It has no effect on phone volume whatsoever, and can't even see the phone dialer.

  29. guest-avatar

This app worked perfectly for an issue I was having with games that did not have volume controls/ability to mute. I like to listen to podcasts while playing which was not possible, but now the games are muted because of this app! Thanks so much!

  30. guest-avatar

A really cool and useful app! I love the added control over my music. My only wish is that I could choose the default control(s) that appear when I tap the floating button. I often switch back and forth from stereo to mono since I frequently use one earbud or one truly wireless Bluetooth bud at a time. The option to more easily toggle the mono functionality would be awesome! And how about giving users the option to change the appearance of the floating button? 😉 Wish wish.

  31. guest-avatar

Great app, love it and it's easy to use. Something I have noticed though and rare occasions the volume of things pulse. Like it would play normal volume and then the volume would drop and then come back up. Fixing this would give this 5 stars.

  32. guest-avatar

Some apps are so rude. Like Words With Friends. Words With Friends has no option to control the volume of their annoying commercials. This app fixes that! This app is native to the Samsung device and returns sound control to the user. There are dozens of other incredibly useful features included in this app. I suggest giving it a try. PS. Dual App Sound wins everything.... Imagine composing voice-to-text while the music keeps playing... BEST FEATURE EVER.

  33. guest-avatar

This app is great! It should come standard with Samsung phones IMO. It gives you the ability to control individual app volumes instead of one volume for everything running on your phone. I use this app to keep my music player uninterrupted while i play games. Also gives you the ability to control alerts through headphones, left and right pan, and much more! Useful app for sure.

  34. guest-avatar

I downloaded this app because my phones buttons stopped working, and this app has an option of keeping the button on screen. This worked for a couple days, and worked well. Only to have the floating button disappear.i have checked my setting and it still says the button is always visible. It's pretty frustrating that it stopped working, I will most likely look for another app to perform this task

  35. guest-avatar

Absolutely fantastic app. Easy access to EQ settings for your audio. Also full control over different audio levels for each app. Great if using bluetooth headphones as it gives you a much more granular control over the volume on headphones. Great set of features that are implemented extremely well with well thought out intelligent design / UI.

  36. guest-avatar

    Colorboy Gaming

It's pretty amazing I watch youtube and play music because the videos are usually text but the instrumentals are so bad. With this I dont have to forcefully overlap music. Also you can play sound on a bluetooth and have sound in the headphones as well. I often like having background music while playing something in the headphones such as podcasts and things. not all apps can be compounded but if you have the Ymusic app with this. it works wonders.

  37. guest-avatar

The primary feature for me is stereo-mono switch. It would be nice to have that on the floating window. Update: Having to burrow down to the Advanced Settings to get to my primary reason for this app is so annoying that I downgraded my rating. (Put stereo/mono in floater = 5 stars!)

  38. guest-avatar

    Jeremy Caouette

Personally I dont like the new update to the sound controller, I liked it when it was the easy to use knobs, now it is way more complicated, and there is nothing that says which each slider really does.

  39. guest-avatar

The only app I have found that can fine tune your audio signal. It works perfectly. Edit: Second big advantage is that you can control the output signal for each application singularly. For example, you can hear background music while listening two your preferred youtuber.

  40. guest-avatar

Overall is good but im kinda dissapointed when you remove the basic equalizer option for A30s (or maybe since One UI 1.5), i dont know how to increase the bass with the current equalizer controler 😂, please bring the spinniny equalizer back, i want to listen my song in full bass mode

  41. guest-avatar

Was good, but stopped working recently. Had this app for ages and it worked perfectly. Recently it's just been buggy and doesn't do what it's supposed to.

  42. guest-avatar

Absolutely fantastic, exactly what I needed to listen to both nature sound and music when I fall asleep. Simple and clean interface.

  43. guest-avatar

Best sound app I've ever had. Music was always too loud for me, even at the lowest volume, and this was the perfect fix. I really like the per-app volume adjustment. I love this app!

  44. guest-avatar

Finally an app that you can actually adjust volume with. This is exactly what I e been looking for. I do have a Samsung phone so maybe that's why it works so well!!! Very happy with this app.

  45. guest-avatar

    serious Dopamine

This app fix the volume control issue I was having on my Samsung galaxy a10e. Before downloading this my volume was barely audible at 90%, and was too loud when maxed out at 100%. This app allows me to adjust the volume in smaller increments. I love this app its so simple and I now have the perfect volume control that should have come with the phone in the first place.

  46. guest-avatar

I was so hopeful, because the Galaxy A50 does not have very much phone call volume. But this app is a complete bust for me. It does nothing on my A50. I have set it to phone but when on a phone call it says "No apps are using audio" when I bring it up on a phone call. It does control volume on Google Play Music, but it doesn't add any more volume than what the phone otherwise does without it.

  47. guest-avatar

Poor native app support. I installed this for the sole purpose of muting the alarm clock through speakers when headphones are plugged in. The only problem is that the native Clock app on my S7 is not on the list when I try to implement this feature. Its ridiculous that I should have to seek out an app to do something that simple in the first place. Apparently there is no way to set an alarm to wake you throgh your headphones without annoying people around you.

  48. guest-avatar

Good apps that i've searched for a long time. When I found it, im in love with it. I hope for adding function for listening same apps with both preferences (audio device & bluetooth sound). I hopely for it. But, for now, it's was a great apps.

  49. guest-avatar

It doesn't save the settings. I go to put it on the concert hall effect where it sounds like you're in surround sound. Then later on, it looses it settings and reverts back to not even being toggled on.

  50. guest-avatar

Just what i needed for my Samsung. Works great! *edit: i just found it can split the sound from apps when i mirror/cast (eg spotify to screen, audio to bluetooth) Can i give another 5 stars?!

  51. guest-avatar

    Tumpal Manurung

It gives you quick access to Samsung sound quality and effects buried deep within the settings menu. You can access sound setting while a YouTube video is playing without stopping it. It gives you the ability to save your equalizer presets (Samsung equalizer has a very strange characteristic though, something that I'm never extremely fond of).

  52. guest-avatar

While it worked, I loved it, however as of 2/4/20, when my phone (Galaxy S9) updated to the newest version of android, the mobo audio selection no longer works, and I now have to navigate to accessibility in the phone settings to turn it on.

  53. guest-avatar

This is a really good app for better control over the sound from the phone. The one thing I would like to see added is better volume control and in particular volume control from the lock screen.

  54. guest-avatar

    Wyatt Lamberton

This app is amazing. Very easy to use. No ads. Does not use battery or slow down your phone. I 100% recommend this to everyone, even if your not huge on sound.

  55. guest-avatar

When I got the Galaxy s8 I installed the app and I really liked it, not only did it give more settings for audio features, it had an equalizer, more specifically a knob which you either rotated left for more bass or right for more treble. I'm not sure why but that feature was sadly removed and I really liked it, they gave more bass sound to my earphones

  56. guest-avatar

Not working! Please update. I turned off the sound for a game app. But each time I open the game app it still has sound, so I go back to check. Then going back to game, suddenly sound is off. What is going on?

  57. guest-avatar

Changed my LIFE! TY!!! PSA -Phone Sound Do you like podcasts but hate that awkward silence and/or want some background music to vibe with with it?! Samsung Sound Assistant! Multi source sound with individual volume control and equalizer to the rescue! You can even play one sound source from your phone speaker and a different source into headphones at the same time. (Like when your kid wants to watch a video and you want to hear the news on the same device) Only took me 2 years to find it! :p

  58. guest-avatar

    Caleb De Putter

I was hoping it would allow me to play my alarm clock only through my headphones with the sleep mode under scenarios but unfortunately it's still played through my phone. Going to uninstall the app not particularly helpful for what I was hoping for

  59. guest-avatar

Not bad in principle, but the actual problem I have I cannot solve. I listen to audio books in the car, and have them at the 100% volume level. I also have Android Auto, and even though the volume on that is 20% or so, it doesn't help as it uses Google assistant voice integration. The assistant voice is the LOUDEST NOISE ON EARTH EVER when my other apps are comfortable. Since that can't be found, needs option for a <100% default while allowing other apps to be *louder* than default

  60. guest-avatar

Ringtone volume is so low you cannot hear it through earphones. I miss calls all the time. If I don't use this app my phone rings and in earphones disturbing people around me. All other volume in notifications, media and system sounds are unaffected. Please fix the volume for ringtones. By the way, if I turn the volume all the way up, I still can't here the ringtone but the other sounds are so loud it can cause ear damage. Galaxy A20 with Android 9.0.

  61. guest-avatar

I'm using this app to route alerts (i.e. phone ringing) through my Bluetooth headphones rather than my phone ringer, so I don't disturb my neighbors at work ("Advanced--> Alerts through headphones"). This works for a day or two and then the setting is forgotten and I need to turn the feature off and on again. I've tried forcing the app to stay awake, etc. but no luck. If this was fixed I'd give the app 5 stars.

  62. guest-avatar

Intuitive and straight to the point. Sometimes it gets deactivated, maybe because the drop down notification is dismissed by mistake.

  63. guest-avatar

Useless. It doesn't offer much of customizations for sound and most of the options can be found in accessibility options in Settings. Only thing unique about this app is the scenario option where you set specific volume for specific times of the day. But again, we have the Do not disturb already so this makes it 90% useless. I say it's a waste of storage.

  64. guest-avatar

Mostly redundant features for average user. It does add some extras that would come in handy if you regularly use multiple Bluetooth devices, or play audio from multiple apps. However, Samsung's built-in equalizer + Android sound settings, and Android's intelligent handling of connected devices accomplish most of what this app does.

  65. guest-avatar

Sound assistant no longer works for me. I tried to make apps volume less and it doesn't affect them. Even when it worked before, when apps played advertisements, the advertisements would play at full sound.

  66. guest-avatar

    BJ Bryn Baratti

Since I am classified ' Auditory ' via Neurolinguistic testing x3, I 'hear' before I 'see'...and I must hear music daily-even when working. Sound Assistant has brought music to me at an entirely new level of enjoyment. I highly recommend it to anyone-especially to those of us who 'listen' for a living! It is a wonderful application: Simply incredibly, Thank you Google!! B.B.

  67. guest-avatar

Stop working on my note 10+ after connecting my active 2 smart watch and galaxy buds.. audio that is supposed to be playing out of external speakers, plays out of call speaker and volume adjustment only adjust "in call" volume when trying to turn it up so I can hear anything. Super annoying, deleting app. Might try again later, cause it's a good concept. If it worked.

  68. guest-avatar

A really simple but useful app that I never knew I needed until now. It lets you have more control over volume on your phone, like adjusting the volume button step size and adjusting the individual volumes for specific apps. If you have an app that's always too loud or quiet, this is very helpful. Thanks Samsung.

  69. guest-avatar

This does EXACTLY what I wanted. I'm so happy. I have rain and music playing at perfect different volumes and I'm at peace. thank you!

  70. guest-avatar

It doesn't support applying audio setup over gaming, for example PUBG. I tried a lot of times to use "Rock" mode using "sound Assistant" . But it didn't had any impact on audio quality sadly. :(

  71. guest-avatar

    #ArmoTheReason #TheReason

A great tool to have, and to know how to use it, u can get slot done by it. I am humbled and blessed to be able to use this application, and use it for the purposes of my work

  72. guest-avatar

Probably the best Samsung app beside one handed operation. It enables you to have multiple audio/video instances playing at the same time, to adjust volume per app basis on the fly, to schedule sound behaviour based on ToD.. You also get equaliser controls from the music's app. This is a robust tool and is a must for any power user. Highly recommended!

  73. guest-avatar

Poorly implemented, when I use individual volume for apps, the notification sound is way too loud even if I have the sound set to a low volume from the system settings. The notification sound really is very loud and hurts my ears. So this app is basically useless if you plan on using it with headphones

  74. guest-avatar

Was working to push the alarm from the clock to the head phones. Every time I used my ear buds, I had to toggle the button in the app that allowed the alarm come out of the earbuds off and on, in order to get it to work. About a week ago, even that fix stopped working. I give up

  75. guest-avatar

Satisfied with the app features!! But please add Tube amp pro feature that has been removed on newer Samsung devices, that feature is a blast when combined with equalizer!!!

  76. guest-avatar

Dont know what I would do without this app for my Galaxy! Separate app volume, dual app sound, volume step changer, you name it, it pretty much has you covered for audio quality. One suggestion would be to have an edge panel for this. That would make it ultimate.

  77. guest-avatar

    Wisani Maluleke

Great improvement. Really lovely app. Can we get simultaneous audio from more than 1 app though? Sometimes I play music on Samsung Music or YouTube while playing a game or playing a WhatsApp voice message and don't want the music to stop. My biggest issue is launching an app with audio pauses the current app playing audio.

  78. guest-avatar

Download this right now. You can control app volumes independently. Make your volume rocker adjust volume in as fine increments as 10% of what it does now. Plus many, many other features.

  79. guest-avatar

This app has some practical uses. I just wish it was also a volume booster for ALL of your phone apps, not just a sound manager.

  80. guest-avatar

    The Animated Gamer

This is exactly what I was looking for. All I wanted was to adjust each app's volume setting and does just that.

  81. guest-avatar

App is very useful but need to add some more action in scenario menu. Like >SLEEP MODE [mute media and notification only not ringtone as in case of emergency] >CUSTOM option .

  82. guest-avatar

This app lets me listen to my favorite song on repeat all day, everyday. It lets you play 2 audio apps at once, which is amazing.

  83. guest-avatar

    Daniel Alvarez-Arevalo

This app is a life saver. My wireless earbuds are at the lowest level and still feel loud. I used this app and was able to lower the sound past the lowest level to what should be the actual normal level. Thanks so much. I dont write reviews often but this app deserves it.

  84. guest-avatar

    Michael Stapula

THIS WORKS PERFECTLY! Since I have no hearing in one ear stereo is a waste. With this app I can direct the audio to the good ear using balance control OR by setting it to mono. And the biggest plus is it doesn't destroy the sound quality. THANK YOU!

  85. guest-avatar

    Mikhail Barkovsky

This is exactly what I was looking for - the app to increase the number of increments for the volume adjustment. What would be awesome is if it would be possible to save EQ settings for different Bluetooth devices - let's say, for a Bluetooth portable speaker and a Hi-Fi stereo.

  86. guest-avatar

I've used the app all the time, mostly for preset EQs for the multitude of speakers headphones and car and it's super convenient to stitch it up on the go

  87. guest-avatar

    Jan Paul Bresenio

I love this app so much. It packs with lot of useful things , favor please add dual bluetooth audio separate volume control thanks😁

  88. guest-avatar

I had this app on my S7 and I loved the dial tuning method (basic) the advanced version or the only version too confusing for me and I don't like it on my s10+

  89. guest-avatar

    Albin Bergstrand

Doesn't work on my note 9. It just decreased the sound quality and didn't allow me to have multiple sound sources at the same time...

  90. guest-avatar

Great but these options should come standard with the phone. Took me a while to figure out there is no standard way to get notifications to my headset output. I miss an ALL sound mute button like apple has (some apps just refuse to go mute or go to headphone)

  91. guest-avatar

Amazing app! I needed to be able to listen to two sound sources at once, and this app makes that possible. However, it's loaded with other features that I have started to use after exploring all it can do. So awesome!

  92. guest-avatar

    Randy Batista Rodriguez

Love this app. I would really appreciate if Dark Mode could be implemented in this app, for any version of Android. Thanks and best regards. Good job.

  93. guest-avatar

    Raymond Hawrish

I've added several different apps and even adjusted the volume for each app, but it doesn't work on my Samsung Note 5.

  94. guest-avatar

The app is really good with making my phone go silent, but I need the S.A. notification to not be cleared when I clear my notifs. If I clear my notifs., the phone doesn't get off silent, and I have to do it manually. If any SamsungDev could see this, please pass this info along to your team!

  95. guest-avatar

I got this initially to turn down the volumes of games that didn't have a mute button so I could listen to music, and it does that effectively, but over time I've also found their other features to come in handy. It's a very helpful and useful app.

  96. guest-avatar

Wonderful app. Kindly add the function where you can lock the vertical volume slider so that it isn't accidentally moved.

It is the best app I have tried to use it is so hard for me to remember to turn my sound off and on this app helps a lot.

  98. guest-avatar

I love that this app let's me choose another app to not have notification sounds stop their sound. I like that it has a popup that easily let's me change the sound to mono or change the left/right mixing (something I do frequently).

  99. guest-avatar

    Christopher Dugan

Great start, but ideally I want to change the EQ settings for individual applications.

  100. guest-avatar

Superb! Shame the individual app volume control only works on Samsung. Makes me almost want to stick with them.
