Frequently crashes, says the Samsung battery manager. Will try latest version and see if that helps. Okay now the widget even removed itself.. SMHI: The feedback is that it doesn't say in your updates that any crashes were fixed, and I shouldn't have to reinstall the widget.

The new version can't fetch data when on WiFi abroad. When on mobile data net (ie getting a Swedish IP address) it works.

The SMHI weather app was always a good app and the widget was used on my home screen to show the forecast at a glance. Then the latest update came out. First, I have to install a deprecated and unsupported library (Crosswalk), then I find that the widgets no longer exist! This is on Android 10. Both this app and Crosswalk have been removed from my phone. What were the app developers thinking? Please, put things back the way they were!

The app seems to have been redesigned in the latest update (end of August 2020) and it now depends on third party software called crosswalk. Really lazy to not even mention this in the change log as it will affect those that update the app. Most people will become suspicious when an app suddenly asks you to install another app.

As many others have noted, I've been prompted to install crosswalk whenever I start the app since the latest update. This dependency does not seem to be motivated in any way. I will consider this app to be useless until the crosswalk dependency is removed.

The most recent version of SMHI app (March 31, 2021) can't retrieve meta data and is not working. I tried re-installing but it didn't fix the problem. Will uninstall for now and check back later.

Widget does not update automatically. It shows a forecast for several hours ago.

This app used to work properly. However from yesterday it is asking for isntalling crosswalk ( which does not have a good reputation). Why is the architecture changed to an older version ?
