This needs a way of calibrating. It's WAY off. When the moon or sun is visible in the sky, I use that as a point of reference when using the app. Augmented reality and reality are not in sync. Update: The directions are calibrated, but the objects in the sky are WAY off. I'd actually like thus app if it worked properly.

  2. guest-avatar

If you want an app where you can easily identify different constellations without any fuss, this app is for you!! It doesn't show you a stupidly large amount of stars like some of the other apps, but honestly, I like it better this way. It just shows what you would normally see in the sky if you're not away from civilization with no light pollution. Also, it didn't have a pop up ad every 5 seconds telling us to upgrade the membership. Overall, I am really happy with this app!!

  3. guest-avatar

Absolutely amazed!! 🙂 Thanks for creating this app, this is what I really need, I have a habit of staring the stars during a weekend break on the province with less light polution. It helps me to locate the moon, constellations and identify unknown shining objects. At first I was in doubt then I tried this on both morning and evening and I am amazed with the results, the moon, sun and other stars are exactly on the same spot. Amazing. I wouldn't regret purchasing the full version. Thank you 😊

  4. guest-avatar

Bought it just to be disappointed. Yes, the paid for version shows more objects but the way it shows them is unhelpful and there are not enough options to change the overlay to be useful. A good solution would not cover the real objects but circle them so one could be sure that the actual sky aligns and that the centre object is correct. Who thought of instead covering up all objects, especially planets with enormous virtual objects? Not clever.

I adore this app it has SO much to see it can get overwhelming but once you SEE, its brilliant. I think its maybe slightly off but it's probably my eyesight is not as good as it was and some stars are detected, but not seen by me irl, need to get me a telescope!!! I love the information panel.

  6. guest-avatar

Very good for a free app, however I wonder if there's any "manual move" option to be implemented (or is it in the paid version), for the cases when you can't rely on the magnetic sensor and you want to move the view by drag - one sub-option to also disable the acc. sensor so full manual control (for exploring without rotating yourself), another just the magnetic one, for a manual magnetic-lock type.

  7. guest-avatar

A simple interfaced app for a beginner sky watcher. The interface is pretty easily understandable for any age group. But the app doesn't contain much options and sky objects like other apps. Expecting an update that provides event notifications, an option to download additional sky contents and to zoom in.

  8. guest-avatar

Works well but it always seems to be off a bit. Their method for fixing it ( moving you phone one a figure 8) doesn't seem to work ether. But hey it let me finally figure out what planet I was seeing out my window every night and that what I wanted.

  9. guest-avatar

Not bad, but there are better. One of the minor annoyances is that the FAQs show the answers bot the question, and when you click it then it shows the question, but the answer doesnt fit in the box. Such as "How do I calibrate?".

Its above my expectation such amazing app you just point the camera to the star or planet and youve got the name descriptions direction ....etc i would give it 10 out of 5..i just would suggest adding the Arabic name(in Arabic) since most of the names come from arabic believe me it will be helpful as many names were changed in english and many thanks for this innovation.

  11. guest-avatar

I love this app, but I'm disapointed that the alignment is off. Everything is actually more to the left. If it was more acurate it would be amazing.

  12. guest-avatar

    Linda Broseghini

My first time using this tool. It is easy to get started and the stars popped up fast. I was in a large dark area (golf course at night) Wow! All the stars! Wonder how to get planets?

  13. guest-avatar

This app is having major issues the last few months. At first I thought it was my phone, but tried my second phone and I have the same bearing issues. I am mot sure if I want to make the upgrade purchase now. Too bad, it was awesome when I first got it

  14. guest-avatar

This is an awesome app except for the fact that after the 1st few days it will not calibrate anymore. I've done the figure 8s for over 60 seconds and reset my location. Thanks to the Developers!

  15. guest-avatar

Great for the family, the accuracy is good, used to app to track the ISS and was able to see it, no issues with installing or running of the application.

  16. guest-avatar

Had this app when I was little, always fascinated by it. It's clean but reading the sensors isn't too accurate. I had trouble looking at the Moon and Venus, but nonetheless everything works and I definitely recommend this app to anyone.

Really this app is amazing. Good GPS location tracking real time data. By this app I have found international space station live location at right time & i have see ISS going to very fas in was amazing..By skyview lite App i can find Live international space station location.. with out telescope... Tnkyu so much..

  18. guest-avatar

This is absolutely amazing! I've tried many other similar apps. This one shows you the constellations and even the overlying drawings to help kids (and adults) picture why the constellations have the names they do. Truly remarkable! It even those you constellations when they are not visible due to clouds, through your ceiling, and even those on the other side of the globe! Just phenomenal !!!

  19. guest-avatar

    Dominic Rozario

I never knew this app. I am using it from a long time , it helps me to identify where any star or planet is located. I just wanted to know if it gives any notifications of when there is something going to occur... Like the super moon or something like that.

  20. guest-avatar

I LOVE this app. It's really cool and fun to just look at the stars if you're stuck in a city or to help identify a star or planet when out on the field.

  21. guest-avatar

Drags me back to its own point when I try to move around and I can see no way of fixing this in the settings, I wasn't sure what to do at calibration either so now all messed up and can't use unless I want to always look at same constellation

  22. guest-avatar

    Elizabeth Ardle

This is not for identifying anything in the sky above you as implied by the description. It works great in your house with no view of the sky at can be shown constilations to look for but its not what I expected at all

  23. guest-avatar

Excellent, thank you! This is easy & fun to use :-D It is also a great way to learn constellations.

  24. guest-avatar

Awesome App!!! My son and I enjoyed using it with his other cub scouts a few months ago. Since then we used it when we look up at the stars to know just what we're looking at! Great learning tool. 🙂

  25. guest-avatar

Very helpful with telescopes, and for knowing when the moon is above the horizon. It's fascinating to look at stars and then look at the app for specific information about them. Not to mention, constellations!

  26. guest-avatar

LOVE it! Its full 360 degree view of the cosmos names any object with a brief description. It shows the trajectory and accurate location of objects (even man made ones) . Im 50 and a scientist and this app still impresses me. It's just ...neat to point it down at the ground and know where the sun is tonight😊. Great education tool.

  27. guest-avatar

The constellations and stars appear further to the east on the phone than they actually are in the night sky. The app should use the camera to get a pic of the night sky, then use the pic to calibrate the app.

  28. guest-avatar

This is a really really good interface. The problem is that you have to upgrade to even see all the major constellations.

  29. guest-avatar

It used to work but now it jumps all over the place and has bad direction. I emailed them, still not fixed. I cant use it as of now.

  30. guest-avatar

This app is user friendly and has wonderful music in it. I use it with my 3 year old star gazer. Me, him and a blanket. Best way to calm down before bed and we are learning things.

  31. guest-avatar

I love this app. It lets me ID the things I see in the sky, keep tabs on Orion's crazy belt, and settle the eternal question: Is it a bird? A plane? Venus? The big one? - I dunno, let me check this cool app.

  32. guest-avatar

I really enjoy this app. I've often wondered what I'm looking at when I look up at the night sky, so it's really useful and informative.

  33. guest-avatar

Worth while playing around with the settings which takes a bit of time but once you've cracked..Its 5 stars...👍

  34. guest-avatar

There are 2 reasons it isn't a 5 star. I haven't found a way to see galaxies, and when I tried to share on Facebook, iTunes comes up . I do t want to send my friends to iTunes. I want them to see this app.

  35. guest-avatar

Awesome can even travel in time to past skies with it..definitely recommend it to any level of stargazer young and old alike.

  36. guest-avatar

    Dayna Gestewitz

My fav! I love how you can see and point through the camera and I love the drifting sound it makes.

  37. guest-avatar

Very very nice app! .thank you for creating the app .this app gives a realistic ,very different and an amazing experience to the user .

  38. guest-avatar

    Flávio Ferrari

Very good basic app. I tested the paid version but missed the StarLink satellites.

  39. guest-avatar

    Crissy Lynn Dalphone

The music doe. I love this app. Dudes, if you have a lady who could use a sign or a nudge that you're the one, bring her out, in the cool night air, pull out this app and let it do the rest. Skyview. Well done. Very romantic and very interesting.

  40. guest-avatar

This is such a wonderful app. Being interested and studying astronomy for years now I love the simplicity of this. Hopefully it will raise questions of curiosity about our night sky which will captivate you. I love this app. Great job!

  41. guest-avatar

Love this app.. so much information on everything in the sky.. love it.. awesome job making it!

  42. guest-avatar

Awesome app but a little bit shaky. Monthly payments? Nope

  43. guest-avatar

    Mahesh Chandra Malviya

Too bad app............ Sir actually i have an idea to improve your app you could able to give options like fast forward and fast backword it may help you to improve your app. Your app is too good but i write bad in upward direction because if i write hood app you will not see my review so, sorry. And and if you accept my request i edit my review ............................thanks your customer

  44. guest-avatar

Amazing app! Third app I tried and this one is so accurate, it's insane. Very nice!

  45. guest-avatar

Font very small, no option to make it bigger. Other than that, it's a brilliant app.

  46. guest-avatar

A wonderful way to explore the heaven at night. As a photographer I find it particularly helpful when doing astro photography.

  47. guest-avatar

    John Des-Forges

Not even able to locate moon on clear night. Movement irratic. Limited - onstructions. Dissapointed

  48. guest-avatar

    Matthew Andriessen

Fun and too easy to use. Very accurate and great to help kiddos learn! No bunk adds

  49. guest-avatar

I dont think there is a better app than this one. I love how they use the camera for u to see the exact location to point to when using a basic telescope. This app surpasses the rating option. It should be a 10 star.

  50. guest-avatar

Fun app, would have given higher rating, but it's hard to leave app once opened.

  51. guest-avatar

My 6yr old loves this app. Santa is a nice touch! My son found him flying around w a jet pack 2 days before Christmas. I told him he is checking to see if kids are being naughty or nice just before Christmas arrives. He started giving me his candy and brushed his teeth without complaint that night! Too cute! He loves the app overall too as it's easy to use, to find planets, constellations, the ISS and Hubble, with info on everything including distant stars. Great starter app!

  52. guest-avatar

Great to view stars and constellations. Nothings perfect. It slows my phone down.

  53. guest-avatar

It is a wonderful application which I have been using for more than a year now. It is simple and works well

  54. guest-avatar

No way to correct or redo calibration once started. Everything is wrong, I can see the moon yet the app places it at a completely different place

  55. guest-avatar

Information was nice, rise and set time of the planets and moon was nice. But if your apps alignment is off, it isnt worth anything. As I rotate, north shouldn't follow me. A recent update messed this app up because it worked fine before.

  56. guest-avatar

Love this App!! The music is so beautiful and relaxing and I love seeing all of the constellations and planets, even the ones on the other side of the Earth

  57. guest-avatar

    Suvadeep Chatterjee

I don't own a telescope, but this app has thankfully helped me play with my wonders. Thanks.

  58. guest-avatar

Works like a charm I can read names of stars with details I cam see the moons position and its route its good man

  59. guest-avatar

    Ricardo Portwood

Absolutely amazing! Love the night sky. Thanks so much for this app! 😂

  60. guest-avatar

Love the app, and amazed by the accuracy of the information.

  61. guest-avatar

Good app. But unable to differentiate with visible and imvisible stars

  62. guest-avatar

    Rosewood Stable

I point it at the moon and nothing comes up. I move my phone around looking at the constellations and I find the moon. I can clearly see the moon and the apps moon are not in the same spot. Waste of time downloading. I gave the app permission to use location on my phone. Quite disappointed.

  63. guest-avatar

A virtual planetarium. I love this app. Use it outside, even if it's cloudy it shows you where the stars are. Use it indoors and create a planetarium in your living room.

  64. guest-avatar

    Mark Schaufelbuehl

Easy to use and good for quick checks... planets, moon and constellations

  65. guest-avatar

I would rate it 5* , I love this app but I wish they could give one more feature , which gives you details for upcoming astronomical events like upcoming Meteor Shower , Blood Moon , Blue Moon , Solar & Lunar Eclipse etc..

  66. guest-avatar

Can't turn off AR to scroll manually. The accelerometer don't stop after exiting the application and cripple that feature on Android system.

  67. guest-avatar

    Boldrin Michael

Hi Dear SkyView, I have paid for upgraded version but unfortunately app is not still upgraded. Help me please..

  68. guest-avatar

Love this. I like to look at the sky and this app clearly tells me where the planets and stars are

  69. guest-avatar

Really nice app, accuracy is mindblowing. Good for understanding universe.

  70. guest-avatar

Worked great when i first installed it bit since then its gone way out. Had to reinstall several times and is now working 🙂

  71. guest-avatar

An amazing app!! Great way to keep my 5 year old busy indoors!!

  72. guest-avatar

Love this app love looking at the heavens and this app let's you know what you are looking at and great educational tool for kids.

  73. guest-avatar

Anyone else have the problem of it always pulling one direction or another even after calibrating it???

  74. guest-avatar

    Kevin Abbottlane

It's great fun to have if you like looking up at the Stars a lot this is great for you .👍

  75. guest-avatar

Best star map and guide I have found and I absolutely love how easy it is to use

  76. guest-avatar

Good app. Relaxing looking at the stars and soothing music.

  77. guest-avatar

Ignore the complaints in the reviews section. This APP (not nasa) is FREE and amazing!! It brings much joy to me and my grandson. Tap on a star and the information it gives on that star and origin of the name is amazing. Good Job Developers!!

  78. guest-avatar

I absolutely love this app 😍, i recommend turning the camera mode off unless you are actually outside.

  79. guest-avatar

Needs to be updated for information the first thing I saw was the Hubble telescope and it says that the James Web space telescope will be launched in 2018 when it got postponed till March 2021... but still super cool and excited to use this app

  80. guest-avatar

I like the compass feature, the manual coordinates option, and the and that I can see the constellations on the other side of the equator

  81. guest-avatar

My daughter 5 years old, & I love this app. She likes to find the constellations, planets, & space station. We love it!!

  82. guest-avatar

Location is not quite right when camera is pointed at the sky. Not sure how to correct it. Have tried reinstalling the app, but it hasn't fixed it.

  83. guest-avatar

Great app! Tons of knowledge! Highly recommend!

  84. guest-avatar

Shows wrong bearing and inclination, thus unusable. I would think my phone's sensors need calibrating, but at the exact same time Starwalk 2 Free sees the works correctly through my phone's camera.

  85. guest-avatar

    Thatchan Thirumurthi

A pleasant application to view stars and planet positions. Also has a good background music. Works well at night.

  86. guest-avatar

Love this app but,I wish you had a western astrology option.Seeing Saturn and Pluto in Sagittarius confused me a bit.Turned the noise off, much better now.Still need a western astrology version or option.

  87. guest-avatar

This is a very good app but the stars seem to move with my phone

  88. guest-avatar

Amazing app, all constillations and stars were visible .

  89. guest-avatar

Fantastic and informative in every way! Works great!

  90. guest-avatar

    danielle louise burton

It's good, however I am unsure about the actual location service. I'm pointing at the Moon however the moon according to app is further away ..

  91. guest-avatar

Very awesome app that lines up with the stars visible to the naked eye and then generates the constellations all around.

  92. guest-avatar

    Kathleen Brandt

Love the app. Only drawback I've had so far is that it's 5 minutes fast, based on a space station flyover

  93. guest-avatar

Love this app, have been using it for a long time and have had no problems.

  94. guest-avatar

What a simple and interactive way to get kids (and adults) excited about space!

  95. guest-avatar

I cant figure out how to get the compass lined up correctly, any tips? Great otherwise

  96. guest-avatar

Everything was 30° off and, calibration didn't fix it.

  97. guest-avatar

Amazing app that adapts to the sky you're viewing. Have learned so much about the night time sky using this app. . Love it!!

  98. guest-avatar

Wonderful product. Stable and works using AR. Able to search for all major celestial landmarks and can see direction for near objects.

  99. guest-avatar

    Raymond Holland

I really wish they had the calibration option. Without it is not really a good experience.

  100. guest-avatar

Really works well. Love showing others stars at night
