    I love my skybell, but it would be perfect if it just started recording the sec it saw someone or they pushed the button. That way even if I missed them, it would still be recorded and I could go back and view who was at my door. I love the motion sensor but with out it recording by the time it waits 10 seconds and I open the app it's been to long and the person is gone :/ I will have to install one of my security cameras out side also... please update!

    app I had to borrow a friend Ipad in order to sync the device with my Wi-Fi. Once sync, it works fine in Android however, no video feed once I disconnect my mobile device from WiFi. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6, developers don't keep dropping the ball. You will lose a lot of customers due to bad coding.

    notification Would like all door bell rings to be recorded. Also a quicker response would be nice. If motion is detected, a 10 second stored feed would be awesome. Right now, I can only see who left my house, not who was there. Update: this app has lost all functionality and will not even pull up my door bell anymore. Its obvious that there us no more support for this app.

    skybell classic android When it does work, which is rarely, it's pretty good. It's nice to have my phone chime when someone is at the door because we have a three floors. If I try to load the video feed from a notification it fails every single time. Even loading video straight from the app fails more often than it works. And it's a huge bummer that there is no possibility of motion capture or any sort of image saving/monitoring when you don't have a video feed. Needs sooo much work.

    skybell classic app android I purchased a Ring unit before this and the Ring did not work for me. SkyBell works great, has live view and motion sensor features. Works great on my Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime and iPhone on T-Mobile. Love this product and no monthly service charges. Just remember to turn on notifications for your phone for you SkyBell application. You must also be on a fast internet service. The Ring system has monthly service charges.

    skybell sync android Due to so many bad reviews I seriously over thought the entire set-up & install process. I ordered the digital doorbell adapter, finally got connected to my WiFi (after I simply followed the directions and uninstalled my "energy-green" saver app which was blocking my phone from completing the synchronization procress with skybell), my husband connected and it works perfectly on my Samsung grand prime phone and on my husband's Verizon phone. I'm so very pleased with this app and technology! 5 stars!

    honeywell I design embedded h/w for a living so I know a thing or two about this is built. I want to love this product but can't. It has to have been rushed out the door because the features don't always work. Hey guys @ Skybell hire some good senior people to help you out because I really want to see this work.

    skybell hd android app Great idea but takes way too long to connect over cellular. Lack of app updates and it appears the companies way of offering the marketed solutions in the product that they failed to deliver on is through the purchase of a newer model. Had high hopes. Great when it does work. I may be switching to one of the other similar solutions.

    skybell total connect android Take two one hundred dollar bills and burn them, you'll get more enjoyment. Skybell Doesn't work at all over 4G and only 10% of the time over wifi. Also when you can't answer the door it doesn't record who was there. Spend your money on another device.

    The android app is lacking a lot of the promised features. The contrast feature doesn't work. It crashes the app, so I avoid it completely. The motion sensor setting doesn't seem to work either. Not sure if this is a device issue or an app issue. Can't add multiple users via android app. No slient mode in app. I had to sync Skybell via an iPad initially for the entire device to work. Very disappointed in the app overall.

    I'm a gadget freak/samsung technician! I thought the purpose of this device was great but what purpose do I have if I don't receive notification from my motion sensor? I received notifications instantly if someone RINGS the door bell. Also my motion sensor does flash green when I walk by, so the motion sensor works, however the software end is not sending alerts on motion. If it does, I don't receive it till minutes later. Put it this way...out of 50xs I used the motion sensor, I only received 4 late alerts

    Please remove your servers from the equation and let connect locally over the same wifi. It doesnt work 4 out of 5 and when it does it takes 10+ seconds to load the feed. This is with the router 10 feet away and with a speed test of 80 mbps down 15mbps up. I Just want to know who rang the bell when im home. The 4G gimmick is useless.

    Purchased for spouse as a Christmas present, and set-up was a breeze. In the device set up with our phones, we discovered a few things: There was a model change. Skybell HD app not available for Android. Spoke with customer service, and was promised that app release was coming early 2016. Currently using old iPhone 5 to utilize the device. App crashes whenever we attempt to view bell presses. Only after device restarts, we can view cloud footage. The intercom/speaker is super loud and scratchy.

    Keeps telling me to check my devices wifi connection - I have strong wifi connection. Notifies of activity but won't let me see any video. Please fix ASAP. Skybell is useless without this functionality.

    Over time they have really improved the app and functionality. At first i was disappointed with my purchase but Skybell has really done a lot to improve their service. At this point i am very much thinking of getting one for my mom and sister.

    I can't do a thing with this app. Wish I hadn't purchased this thing... Months later, still true. Supports only recommendation is for me to upgrade to their HD device... Like I'd ever give this company more of my money.

    This app is horrible. I have the newer Skybell and this app doesn't do the hardware justice. It crashes a lot, takes forever to connect which means you have to log out and back in again ... and the activity history never seems to work, I just get a black screen. I want this app to work perfectly because the idea behind it is great.

    App isn't very helpful if you have problems. I finally found that I cannot synch with WiFi unless you turn off cellular data first. It was maddening and there's nothing in the help to alert you to this fact. Once I got it synched , it worked fine.

    It fails about 95% the time. I'll get the notification and attempt to open the camera, but then it just spins for a minute or so and fails to connect. Kind of infuriating. I've held off on reviewing for months, hoping it would get fixed, but it's starting to look hopeless. The 5% of the time it does work is nice, but that doesn't qualify as a neat party trick, let alone a reliable home tool. If you could remove your servers from the equation and let me connect directly to the camera, that might help.

    Doesn't work I had contact with the support and they replaced my bell into a new one with exactly the same issue at the end of this story I get the new HD one and that works like a charm! Don't waste your money on this version!!!

    Lots of crashes and slow to ring when the bell is pressed. I currently have no sound and can't communicate through the doorbell. This system needs some serious updating and attention.

    So, support tells me that they don't support Android devices on T-Moibile. WHAT, REALLY? He claims their CEO tells them to say that, and that it is because T-Mobile throttles data and that's why we can not see video. My data is not throttled, what are you talking about. I think it is just their excuse not to touch the app. Has not been updated since April. So stay away T-Mobile users, you won't be able to see video if you are off your home WiFi.

    I tried to get this synced but it would not work. I had to borrow an iPhone and it synced makes sense since the Android apk was last updated in april 2015....i understand that they have a new hardware version, but they shouldn't abandon the previous version

    I bought the skybell a long time ago and at some point I forgot I actually own one because it's been so useless. I figure I'd give a review before I uninstall the app. It takes so long to wait for the video to load that the person is gone before the app gets the video up. I'll probably just replace my skybell will a regular doorbell and maybe give the skybell to my dog to throw around the yard.

    I don't write many reviews, but what is the deal with this thing??? Basically it's a $200 dumb doorbell. Thats it! Poor execution, slow loading, no updates. Very, very disappointed. If they can manage to come out with a new version, they should upgrade us poor suckers that were bamboozled by this worthless product to a workable device that gives us what we paid for. Hopefully, Nest will come out with a product that actually works as advertised. This is robbery.

    I am shocked that the Skybell team cannot update the app on world's most popular operating system on the planet! Seriously no update since April? For a $200 smart doorbell you should expect the latest software otherwise not roll out out for Android at all. Overall product works well but there have been no improvements or updates in months.

    App keeps getting worse. Bought my Skybell last July Replaced under warranty as the button stopped working. My old Skybell recorded automatically upon motion. Now apparently it does not unless I buy the HD. The app must have changed. Motion recording was the whole reason I bought it. Now it's pretty useless to me. Seems they block the motion det. Recording to force the JD upgrade. Also It gets more errors trying to remote then not, & says my phone doesn't have internet when it does.

    Poor image quality. Slow and unreliable notifications. Lousy account management. Customer support uses purchase receipts for "security" when trying to get technical support. Don't waste your money.

    By the time it connects (if it actually even does) the visitor is LONGGGG gone. This whole device is a P.O.S.. Save your money people. It'd be nice if the camera could stay on for long periods of time. If I screen mirror my phone to my tv when I have a party, it'd be nice to see everyone that shows up at my doorstep but this device keeps shutting off after a couple minutes. Nothing but a headache.

    It is buggy. I mean I have had the SkyBell 2.0 for almost 2 years and it still has issues. You would think the app would be more polished. I am sure that they will say to get the new version...Sorry I am going to go with another brand.

    My wife is Apple ... I am Droid. I believe the Android app interfered with or disrupted the device when combined with iOS on the same account. However one thing I did do was assign a static IP for our SkyBell on the router. The static IP seems to really help stabilize the SkyBell's reliability and responsiveness. Yet, since SkyBell is really for my wife, I uninstalled the Android client, just in case.

    Skybell doesn't work on the TMo network and Skybell claims T Mobile is the problem. Skybell also claims the problem only affects android devices on the TMo network. They say iPhones work great with skybell. Can't have it both ways. Either TMo is the problem or, what I suspect is, Skybell has hired a bunch of ios app guys that don't know how to develop apps for Android. Fire some of those ios guys, hire some android guys and get us up to speed.

    I thought this would be a really good way to monitor our rental properties. I have had problems getting many of the Skybells to work and removed all, but 1. It has problems working with higher WIFI. And the newest update with the "ACTIVITY HISTORY" is nice, except it is not the accurate time and there seems to be no way to delete any of the videos. I truly hope there will be lots more updates to make SKYBELL to have an ON-DEMAND viewing that stays on as long as you want until you end it.

    I was thrilled when I first initially purchased Skybell 2.0., However, after three months I've been very unhappy with the product. The sensor has a 15 to 45 second drag time. Plus, the doorbell chime button quit working all together after 3 months. I here the Skybell HD is better. Though, it's only for iOS Apple phones. Thus I'm stuck. Make sure to purchase from Best Buy or Amazon and get the extended warranty as opposed to buying direct from Skybell.

    I can see thumbnails for history clips that are over a month old (no newer), but they won't play. I just get a black screen and eventually a message that says "can't play this video". Please fix. So is not useable....

    We're on our second Skybell device as our first one had to be replaced by the company after numerous issues of trying to get the camera to work. Guess what? It still doesn't work right! We've checked the wiring, upgraded our router, resynched the device to our network, cycled the device through the circuit breaker, and the device still works poorly. I can probably count the number of times I've been able to get a successful camera feed with one hand. Completely inadequate as a security device.

    The form factor is cheap plastic. The button is plaatic. Junky. New router that works and is less than 20' away, connected properly to 2.4, installed the app and all I get is audio. Tech support seemed disinterested in coming up with a workable solution. Hours spent on it - lost. One big, fat return.

    I have never been able to get video over phone network. Sometimes I can uninstall then reinstall and it will work once. Seems a bit better over wifi, but that defeats purpose.

    Awesome Concept...But still needs some fixing. Video playback feed distorted and crashes within app while trying to open video. Also time isn't accurate on video feed playback. But I'm sure it will be fixed soon. UPDATE*** not recording Video when doorbell pushed or motion detected.

    May 15,2014 received exchanged skybell. After emails and some problem solving. It was not the skybell fault but my router setup. 2015 after update my working skybell stop working. I emailed Ms Rosemary, she walked through solving issue. But no go.. Ms, Rosemary setup exchange for a skybell 2.o but it had issues. So another exchange by Ms Rosemary. Then it worked great. This company stands behind it's product. Be nice and patient and Ms Rosemary, will not give up to correctly get your Skybell working!!! 12/19/15 update: still working but as other customers issue I share same wants for fixes or updates: speed up response of recording to seconds when a person pushes skybell. Now the wait time is too long, the person has walked away. (my download 7.60/2.00 Upload at the skybell) so not my connection it is the skybell update needed. Next the app should work on tablets. I have the latest android tablets and computers and skybell app will not compatible???? Why? But all others doorbell app from competitors work!! So Skybell guys work on these things,will change reviews... thanks

    Don't make the same 200 dollar mistake I made, and they want to sell me another one instead of offering assistance to repair. It never worked as advertised, always cuts out, poor picture, long lag in getting the app open afterward when it was working.. Get a regular doorbell, and a separate camera,.. I think this product stinks

    my SkyBell classic not working any more & when i contact your support to know why my 100$ bell not working i received the below feedback Unfortunately the device you have is now obsolete. The advancement in technology has caused us to have to move forward and we had to advance our products to meet the demands of the communication devices used to control and function with the SkyBell. Most phones now use a 64 bit platform and our old SkyBell classic ran on a 32 bit platform. We have since released a new device that utilizes the 64bit platform. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

    By the time the video comes up on a 100 mbit connection the person has already left! I will never buy another skybell as long as I live. Was cool when it came out but has progressively been worse and worse until now it's unusable. And no API!!!?? What the hell??

    App is slow, unresponsive at times, and the quality just isn't there. It's a cool novelty, but don't expect too much. **After using for a while, it's still a bit hit or miss. For the most part though, it works ok. +1star **Now that they have a separate app for the new SkyBell HD.. I wouldn't count on updates, or fixes trickling down here.

    Quick and easy set up. Video quality is not what I expected. It's extremely poor quality. Speeds are slow and intermittent. Motion sensor is not working. Otherwise this is a great idea but it could use some more updates.

    Have had success both on and off home network. Video isn't great but I can make out if I know the person. Sound can be improved to reduce white noise.

    Has this device and application been tested? It does not seem ready for prime time. Poor install process (wall mount, wiring, and tiny screw to lock the cover). Android app is even worse! I can get on demand video to work but notifications do not work at all. When changing various settings in the app they keep reverting to their original state. Skybell needs to hire software developers for all platforms! I feel ripped off...

    I really wanted this to work like it does on the advertisement. Takes too long for video to come up and by then the person has gone. Also in the recent update it said it added contrast toggle? Can't seem to find it. (Galaxy note2)

    Kind of defeats purpose of the device. It's odd it worked fine on T-Mobile with a oneplus one. But upgrade to a nexus 6 with marshmallow and it gets the sound but no pics. They need to fix this, was looking to upgrade to hd version but might look elsewhere. Support is mediocre with this, it took me googling and finding a woot discussion that said he had same phone and it didn't work and they told him to get ios. It does work on my iPad, but for the most important use its slow to connect and now doesn't work

    Was bad before but even worse now. The doorbell will ring on my phone but will not display anything which is why I changed my 2 star to 1. The motion sensor is to sensitive. Goes off over a snowflake and will disturb me 5,6 and 7 times a day to veiw nothing but my front yard. Wish you could adjust the sensitivity via the app to cure the issue. And the activitie history doesn't work, I could ring the door bell 20 times & activity history is 0.

    Easy to install but given that it can only work on a slow signal and most cell phones won't receive slow wifi one or the other won't work. Can't get it to connect when I'm not at home. Complete waste of money!!

    Takes forever for video to then whomever is at the door is long gone. Video does not show when away from home, which renders the features useless for their intended purpose. If your app worked on 5G and not just 2.4GhZ, connection time would most likely improve.

    Installed the skybell. The small screw is very hard to screw in from the bottom. Why such small screw? Drop it and you can never find it again. The app doesn't let you register. Tried many times. Used android and ipad both wont register. Said error with the email or password. Gave up after 20 attempts. This is now a useless expensive door bell without the camera

    Got my v2 unit and wired up really easy. Solid iterface, app is straight forward and snappy responses. Only concern is if you exit the screen to disable the doorbell it loses the disable you set and it automatically enabled again. Simple code fix. Next release please.

    This APP has not been updated since 2014 and was made for Android 3.0, we are now at Android 6.1 and 7.0 will be released soon. Many times the push notifications take more than 30 minutes to reach my phone! Reboots help sometimes, but it doesn't last long. Totally disappointed with the App and SkyBell!

    Very bad price/quality relation doorbell. What about app, it's glitching all the time, 4 of 5 times just can't answer, just see loading ring no voice and no image with stable connection from both sides. Cant speak and her the guest at same time. Very bad for it's price, will never recommend this doorbell to anyone and definitely will not but from this company again.

    Hey guys at Skybell, I had trouble syncing through my android phone so did it on my ipad and worked perfectly. Only thing now is, the snapshot function isnt saving any snapshots and the video recordings freeze after about 20 seconds. Hope you'll look at the bugs!

    Spent alot of money on this expensive doorbell, but can't even use the app on my tablet. Just keeps asking me to sign back in over and over. I chose this over ring doorbell, but now wish I hadn't. Worst app I have ever used.

    Doorbell will not work with my android phone despite trying re-installing app. Only thing that works is the feature that automatically rings the bell if you stand on the porch for more than five seconds. Samsung g6. I almost bought another door bell thinking mine was broken

    Hooked up the doorbell and started the sync process. Kept removing the WiFi connection from my Galaxy S4. Tried from my tablet and the same thing happened. Even though the sync failed, I noticed that the doorbell was connected to my WiFi and the Skybell server. Waited to see if my device would finally show up in my account but it didn't overnight. Called "Customer Support" and they stated that they had issues with T-Mobile devices. I mentioned that I had the same issue with my unlocked tablet and silence

    The bell takes too long to connect upon receiving notification. even when at home on the same wifi, ( I'm In IT so I know my wifi is good) by which time the visitor has left. I have a digital door chime connected via the digital adapter and this doesn't ring till after 10 seconds! Camera quality is very poor and difficult to recognise the person, Notifications are fairly instant to my phone HTC One but my wife's phone which is a galaxy S4 takes almost a minute. Despite reinstalling the APP. The button stopped working after a month of use, And the customer service was awful in trying to get it fixed. !!

    Sky Bell is very nice products. Just got it less them one week. At first can't install. Call Sky Bell Tech to talk to Carol Tech Support. Very very helpful able to make it to work. Can't plain the image come out very good. Now I can see some one ring the door bell in front of the house. Going to enjoy the products of Sky Bell

    I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge and the skybell works when I'm connected to WIFI but not on 4G or LTE service. My motion detection is not working either. Update this app now!! Your product could be amazing if a little pride in performance was given.

    Using this on an android device and I can tell you is not worth the $200 if I could I would return it! Kinda feel like we're all beta testers here. I am hoping they improve the reliability in a software update.

    Tried app on nexus 7 and Motorola Droid Turbo and could never get a sync. Tried on several wifi networks and nothing works. Also won't work on a Asus Zen 8 or on a LG tablet

    Upgraded my home internet to 5ghz, and now skybell is useless as it does not have any 5ghz support. Out 150$. Time to go buy something others than skybell.

    Last updated nearly two years ago. Misses many doorbells, while the iPhone app on the same wifi network doesn't. Very slow to connect..Forgot password button leads to "username is taken" error. Wheres the support?

    Company not willing to replace faulty equipment without a receipt. Skybell stated that the unit is faulty, but wont replace without receipt as it was given to us via a TV Show named "The Talk". The company isn't willing to work with customers to get unit replaced. I have uninstalled the app and unit from my home. They had stated they would send me an email, but did not.

    Doesn't connect half the time. No way to exit gracefully. Video takes forever to load, even when on same network. Motion detection randomly does and doesn't work.
