I have to turn the piano volume so high for the app to pick up the notes properly, even then it misses some. I'm pretty sure my whole appartment block hates me now. And the volume of the songs in the app keeps going down automatically "to hear me better" to the point where I can't hear it anymore. After "learning" 5 notes, you have to pay for a subscription to continue. No thanks, I'll learn some other way.

simply piano by joytunes free download Excellent App, Super Fun, tons of content, small bug. Have been using for two months and its just really fun. There are tons of excellent songs from all generas to play along with. Lessons are very short so if I only have 5 minutes, it's still worth sitting down and doing a quick lesson. Only minor issue is that sometimes it gets blocked on a cord (usually middle C) and you have to restart the song. But overall absolutely love the app.

simply piano by joytunes free Sometimes Someone would talk and the app would recognize the note. Other times I had to play the note at least 3 times until it finally recognized it. Also didnt like the cover song practices, dont add the singer if you're just going to lower the volume of the entire song when I start playing- you shouldn't have to do that, I could hear my piano fine, but it's like the app couldn't. Also big problem with premium, you can't do much without it, so why doesn't it tell me I have to pay beforehand???

simply piano by joytunes apk No regret for subscription, it is definitely the Best piano self learning app ever that i have tried. Everything is so nice, juz sometimes the app couldnt recognise my note well, but i think is my problem bcoz im using non midi functionable keyboard. Thus, is fine. Overall, it is a good app, that helps me to start from zero beginner learning to Now that i could read the music sheet, chords. Thank you so much for letting my childhood dreams came true, will definitely share this app to my friends.

simply piano by joytunes premium apk Dear Simply Piano, I will give this a 1 star because without premium you can't play 1 song without it. You can't learn more without premium, this isn't making my dream come true. People like me don't have any money for piano lessons on a app. Fix this now.

simply piano by joytunes price The application is very good for beginners, but when you learn day by day in next chapters...left hand chords not properly working or listened by app, this is the major drawback of this app. If Anyone has solution of this problem, plz comment..

simply piano by joytunes взлом I would have given it more stars but the timing of the notes are off when I press the right note it's always incorect I always have to put the notes a few seconds before it comes and it annoys me if you would change that then I would give it a better review

simply piano by joytunes apk download This is an AMAZING app! It's only my first day using it and I can already play some sheet music. It's so much fun, so if you're looking to learn the piano But don't want to go anywhere you should get this app.

I cant speak to how well this app is for learning the piano deeply, but as someone with barely any exposure to music in middle school, I have picked it up rather quickly. The app itself is wonderful, but if youre going from zero to hero, you need to be patient with yourself and willing to make time practice. The app provides a guitar hero style song selection that expands as you progress, and that has been both fun and motivating to see my progress on those songs.

I mean I love the app but in a way I hate it too for one you have to pay or else you can hardly do anything like what if your just a kid like me who just wants to play the piano if ypu could just make it free I will give it more stars but for now I'm sticken with three

  13. Yael Vanden Abeele-avatar

    Yael Vanden Abeele

I do enjoy playing and especially offline with the sheet music the app provides. Although I would appreciate if the app was able to take the duration of the note you press into consideration, for the user to more actively develop a sense of correct piano playing, knowing exactly how long certain notes have to sound, rather than going "au feeling"

This review is about the pricing model. There are three options, yearly, 6 months or 3 months, with the 12 months being about $7.50/month and the 3 being $15. There is no option to buy just a month subscription, so you'll need to pay at least $45 for three months. Unfortunately this is too high of a price tag. Also heard reports that you can breeze though all the courses in just a few months so a year subscription may not be economical. I'd pay for this if I could buy just one month at a time. It also apparently doesn't allow for use of google credit money - must use a credit card.

I signed up for the subscription and cancelled it a few months ago... I have been charged every month since! I sent an email to the support email got no reply and was charged again this month! I am going to have to contact my bank and get them to block the subscription! Extremely disappointing and fairly sure it's illegal!!! 😡😡😡😡

It's really cool, this piano app. I've learned so much in just three days. I give it a five star. But the thing after the basics........ That with the swipe up with two fingers......I've tried and tried but it never comes. So now I'm still stuck with the basics. Please improve this app. ( I downloaded this app just a few days ago. So no offence.)

Good, but a few simple very important requests. 1. The ability to rewind a few seconds when practicing a song. If I make a mistake I can't go back to the beginning of a section. 2. Ability to print sheet music of a song. 3. Ability to bookmark songs that I am practicing, so I don't have to scroll through the entire list each time 4. When playing a song at partial speed, the timing of the song and the notes is off.

  18. Eisenhower Mwenisongole-avatar

Excellent app that instills the instinct of not looking at your hands or keys but rather the score and improves playing in time.

  19. Keith Andersch-avatar

    Keith Andersch

Update: down to 2 stars. Not being able to play through custom measures of a song is super frustrating still. Just drag back and forth. My media player can do it. This is a good program. I did experience it trying to listen to the correct notes but I went all USB and fixed that issue. My reason for 3 stars is I can't practice a single measure or redo sections in the learning sections. When I'm messing up at the end of the song, I don't want to have to play everything before it to practice.

  20. Jordan Stevens-avatar

    Jordan Stevens

The lessons them selves are decent if I can even get through them. Half the time it registers that I've played a note and the other half it doesn't. This only happens when the music starts playing through the app. It's super annoying and making it really difficult to finish lessons. There's a feature that the app lowers the volume of the music to hear better but it either turns it down so low you can't hear the music or not low enough for the app to hear the piano there is no in between.

This app is AMAZING! I love fo practice piano now and simply piano just makes it SOOOOOO much easier. Whenever I have spare/free time, I go upstairs and got to the piano. Simply piano is an awesome teacher and makes learning fun. This way, LOTS of people will love to learn the piano. Just like me! Thanks to this app, I can play anytime I want to anyone in my family. I'll tell you 1 or 2 more times - THIS APP IS AMAZING! So make sure you install it! :)

I love the app and the songs very much. They help me understand much better and so much more cheaper than the people who come to the house . I love everything about it but I would recommend a search option in the song section where you can search a song or an artist. Example: I love Queen songs but I find it difficult to go through essential 1, essential 2, etc.. and have to search all the rows. So if there is a search option it would be great.

My skills have actually improved and my time in the piano is relaxing, so much I look forward to it, a high variety of songs, I must say I'm generally happy with the app. BUT! sometimes it doesn't read well (the c for example), and I really hate the autoVolumeDown thing, although I consider it a needed bad. That's it, overall I love the app.

  24. Raymond Sakran-avatar

I really like it. It has really helped me learn the piano effectively. The only thing that I have problems with is: When I play a note wrong the app brings me back to the first note, and then it doesn't give me time to play the first note. It just makes the screen red and enables practice mode. I recommend it for someone who wants to learn to play the piano very fast, but I am mad about the glitch.

[EDIT] this app is good however I have come to the stage where I have to buy premium to continue. I was very excited but now I can't continue playing the piano with the guide of this app. I get you want to make some money, maybe make it cheaper? but in most cases people will just download this app see it costs money then uninstall. - this is good for all skill levels, age or genre. perfect for if you have never played piano or keyboard, or if you're experienced. good job on this appapp.

Needed to learn how to play piano online quickly for my online music class and it's helping me recognize the notes faster. Only 4 stars, however because it does seem like sometimes it goes too fast and if you fail a few notes it just pops u into practice mode and completely skips the ones you failed which I don't think should be a thing.

Very helpful app! This app teached me on how to play piano and its really fun learning with it, kinda sad when I finished all of the lessons. Although, sometimes I have trouble playing because the app sometimes wont hear the notes I play, but I know you're trying to make this app get better note recognition, and maybe at practice mode we can repeat practicing when we dont fully understand yet! But personally I recommend you all using this app, very helpful, very fun. Thanks for reading this! :)

  28. Jonathan Roe-avatar

Okay. I think the app should force the players to think of the different staff positions as the notes that they are rather than finger numbers right from the beginning, because under the pressure of having to keep up with a song that I'm playing along with, I have relied too heavily on the numbers. Telling players what finger to use doesn't teach them anything, because people already know where their fingers are.

Phenomenal App. I've been using this app to teach myself Piano whilst waiting to do lessons with a teacher during COVID. During 3 weeks of play I've learnt a significant amount in terms of everything Piano and music(beats/sheet music/treble/octave/chords etc) I bought the MIDI controller for my tablet must say makes note recognition so much easier. Would be amazing if you guys had some soundtrack themes on here, I've really been trying to learn the main theme from Interstellar. 5 ☆ App.

Simply Piano is a fun and easy way to learn piano. It is really simple and I'm learning so fast! And the best part is that it is COMPLETELY FREE! So you don't have to spend your money on private piano lessons. I would strongly recommend to use simply piano as your form of learning piano or keyboard. 👍 ... Until after you learn the basics you have to get PREMIUM which you have to PAY FOR, to continue. That just contradicts the fact thar this app is free. Very disappointing... 👎😡

Very informative and I am enjoying it but find it doesn't hear the chords too good it seems to have a bigger problem with hearing g major chord than all the others it has alot of trouble listening to the chords so it won't let me relax my hands so not enjoying it the same having a problem with hearing b or bflat in both hands seems a little better at listening today thanks. It still has a problem hearing all the notes but enjoying it mostly no change

I love this app very much, I really learned to play the right notes with my hands in a matter of weeks. The problem is the app can't listen to some chords perfectly, they aren't even played in the keys of piano that appears on screen, which makes me feel angry that I need to close the app. Overall it does its job on teaching piano, thanks!.

  33. Nathanxgaming-avatar

This app is a great app that listens to your keyboard or piano sound and matches it with the app system. If the correct note is pressed, then the app will now, and vice versa. But, I don't like the part where you have to pay. I would much rather have the app entirely free. After the free lessons, you have to pay for the more advanced lessons. That is one thing that I don't really like about this app. But, overall, it is a great app!

  34. Tina Holdway-avatar

    Tina Holdway

A great app that gets you playing right away and is a lot of fun even for older learners like me. However, the android version needs work as it does glitch and lapse when playing, making it almost impossible to complete the songs at 100%. I have to clear the cache and restart my tablet every day to minimise this which is both frustrating and disappointing. If they could improve the performance of the app then I would give it 5 stars.

  35. Brett Brown-avatar

This app is incredible for anyone wishing to learn piano. Whether you have 15 minutes or two hours to practice each day, this app teaches you everything about piano/keyboard at an easy pace for an amazing price. In a matter of one week I went from knowing nothing about the instrument to playing Jingle Bells with both hands - imagine where you could be in 6 months! On top of lessons, you also receive printable sheet music and access to a large music catalogue as you advance through the courses.

  36. Omer Mor-avatar

    Omer Mor

At first this app looked great. However the note recognition is not performing 100%, my kids didn't like to use it, and the annual subscription was the worst purchase I ever made. The app was used at most 3 times during the last year. Not only that, this annual subscription was automatically renewed without a reminder or asking our consent. I consider this to be a very shady practice.

  37. Wade Beauchamp-avatar

This app is AMAZING. I learned how to play with both hands after a week of using this app. It is totally worth bying the premium. You should real.y consider getting this app if you want to learn how to play the piano because it will help you more than a piano teacher would. My sister has a piano teacher and all ready know more than her. Also, you don't have to schedule a appointment. You can do it any time you want. So you can do it more than once a week and will learn alot quicker.

  38. LISA RAGAN-avatar

I love this! It can be really fun but sometimes challenging 😅 but thats what makes it great! It walkes you through each step and over time it becomes really easy! Plus you can learn songs from all different artests! This app is the absolute best learning tool for learning piano! It's even better then a real person teaching you!!

Fantastic app that actually gets you reading and playing music properly with no gimmicks that make it hard to play without the app. My Piano skills are greatly improving with every session! I would like to see some sort of function that allows us to get a list of all the songs we have unlocked so far in alphabetical order or similar, currently trying to find specific songs in the only list provided is very hard. I've also been experiencing some freezing issues that requires a reset every 20 mins

  41. Rhett Cookson-avatar

    Rhett Cookson

Very very good app for beginners, however once you get deeper into the app the app can't handle listening to you play the song. So it gets to be very frustrating while trying to get through lessons or get 3 stars on a song because the app doesn't recognize what you're playing even if you're completely correct.

  42. InvisibleHiroshi-avatar

There's one problem, the note recognition with MIDI, while you have connected it, you can even drop something on your keyboard and all the notes that you have to play are correct, it's just not very accurate. But overall I think it is perfect.

It is extremely easy to learn a keyboard with this amazing app. I just think you guys should take the learning part a little slower. It would also be better if we there was a option, that allowed us to search the songs we want to play, if we want to a specific song which we want to play. Over all great app.

It's a fun way to learn and practice but the Android version has some issues. The app crashes at least once a day (fortunately progress, so far) has not been lost. I use an acoustic piano, which was tuned only two weeks ago, but JoyTunes struggles to recognise the chord of C, especially if the low C is played with the left hand too. I find that I have to play C as an arpeggio just to get past a lesson.

This app is amazing! I learned to read sheet music in an hour and the way that they explain it to you and tell you if you're wrong, it's challenging, but that's the best part because it does take time and patience. 😊😊😌🎤🎼🎹🎶I'm on essentials II and still working my way up to getting used to my left hand and reading the notes! So yeah, I'm pretty sure that I'll get better witty more practice, and soon I'll be amazing! Thank you so much!

At first, you think, "This is too hard for a beginner!" But you just have to have patience 🙂. I must admit some of the little practice songs ARE quite fast, but you get there in the end ESPECIALLY with practice mode 😰. Also, make sure to position the phone/iPad NEAR THE SPEAKER 👍

It was good. The lessons were nice. But in my opinion it was kinda like forcing stuff. Also like going super fast. It was driving me a bit crazy. For some reason I think this app is for the gifted. So I advise make a few tweaks for maybe taking it slower. This is my opinion so please dont take this too seriously. Overall this app and its piano lessons are fantastic!

Great app. You can learn piano easily and in a fun way but I do have 1 complaint: Premium. You can barely do anything unless you pay, at least make Essentials I free. Also, in some of the advertisements, it said that with only 1 week you could play a good song. I have been using this for over a month, about 30 mins a day, and the song played in the ad is still pretty hard for me. Again, this is a great way to learn piano even from scratch.

I loved this app when I started! But as I continued I notices a pattern. Each course has particular notes or chords that it can't hear yet another course can hear them perfectly. So it's pretty wierd when it does that. It really frustrates me so please fix this as fast as you can.

I dont like it it doesn't hear my piano well and there is no good music. and I didn't do one round right then it started me on a new round and I didn't even touch my piano and everything there turned red and made me go to the practice round. it's annoying and fix the game. I deleted half of my FUN games because I wanted to learn the piano and it didn't even work. I rate this a one and I'll never download it again. and also and I get stuck on the first one even though I already did it. worst app

I wish it didn't lag so much. It should run a lot smoother, it lags and makes me miss notes. Also, it's not very accurate for which notes I'm playing. I still like the app but a $85 year subscription I think it should be better. I use an upright piano, I tried the one tip of using headphones but it doesn't prevent the app from lagging and almost crashing. Nor did it help with recognizing correct notes all the time.

Really enjoyed using this app. However I wish there were monthly payments as opposed to a lump sum of at least £71 (especially in current climate ) even if it restricted the amount of lessons you can get per month. Also found the sound detection frustrating as it wasn't picking up the notes I was already playing and it made me practise again. Maybe in the future I can come back.

  57. Liz Sprague-avatar

I really enjoy the app. I wish I could customize further though. I would like for the sheet music library to have an option to have a backing track with adjustable tempo. I also would like to skip some levels that are just out in the weeds with chores - sometimes it puts me to sleep! I have to say I LOVE the moments where it takes a step back at the full band. For example, in the part where you alternate 1 and 5 in the base and chores in the right, it explains you're playing kick and share.

Ive only used this app for 5 minutes and the interface is really good. But I'm using an old piano that's constantly out of tune, so even after I tune the piano, the keys are usually still a little out of tune. I would like if the app could include an option to manually assign the note to the correct key.

Great app, Im learning a lot from it however there is one big thing that bothers me : Every few days there is a glitch that speeds up the music, makes the songs out of tune and impossible to play. Being at basic level because of the fee for premium, this is a big problem for me. I would love to have an update that fixes this issue. I thought it was an issue with my tablet but I also have this app on my up to date Samsung phone and have the same glitch. Please fix this issue if possible.

And spending money on it is totally worth it, i had a issue where It wouldn't see me as a subscriber they fixed it in about 12 hours, and if you have this problem and don't know what a gpa is, it is what level you were last working on. This app is for literally ALL ages! And wearing headphones helps if it isn't hearing your piano well! Well done joytunes❤

Simply Piano is a wonderful app. I bought a subscription along with a piano at the start of lockdown, and now I'm only a few courses from the end (I'm not rushing through or skipping lots of things), though there's plenty of songs to go back and learn to get more practice. For me, there's a lot of benefit to this over trying to learn from books. There's instant feedback when you do something wrong, which massively speeds up the learning process for me- I'd mess with sheet music for hours trying to work out where I'm going wrong. My sheet music reading has developed quickly. The courses are a nice mixture of easier chord-based sessions, and harder more technical sessions, so it doesn't fee like too much of a slog at any point. There are a couple of things I might change given a chance: 1) You're only allowed to fail a particular passage twice when learning a piece before the app sends you into 'practice mode' (with a very annoying noise!), slowing things right down, which can be a bit frustrating. Most of the time I just want carry on practising at full speed until I get it. Maybe there could be a setting for this? 2) The music selection is very slanted to pop music, with the occasional bit of classical/ jazz/ rock 'n roll. That's lots of fun of course, but I'd like to develop as a 'proper' piano player, so some more technical scales, classical pieces, sight-reading practice etc would be very helpful. But the niggles are minor, and I feel the confidence and fluidity I'm developing with the app will give me a good springboard to develop further by more traditional means. Highly recommended- though don't forget to buy a midi cable for your electric piano, I didn't have a lot of luck with the audio pickup.

Not at all what I expected. I've been playing for 40 years, but my youngest child wanted to learn from an app. Thank goodness for the free trial - after a few days she became frustrated & was no longer interested. The program moves too quickly and the timing on the music is too fast for little hands. It's completely different than playing/learning by actual sheet music. We'll stick to good old fashion practice books. Simply Piano simply isn't for us.

The exercises are great! Just frustrating when it doesnt pick up the sounds...usually a problem at the very beginning of a song or exercise. If I remember and play those first notes a little louder it seems to help. I am using other forms of learning so I dont know how this would do as a stand a lone training but it is definitely a very helpful addition. Would recommend.

I rate this app a 4 out of 5 stars because it helped me learn to play really quickly and its very fun. Probably the only thing that could make this better is a ready button so beginner pianoists can have time to get there hands in position. This app is amazing and I highly recomend it to people who want to learn piano.☺

It's a great app.😁I always dreamed of playing piano but didn't have time. Then I found out about this app and I could finally play. The only thing is that the subscription thing Is so annoying and frustrating. But apart from that I have to admit that it is a great app. I am learning piano so quickly and easily. I recommend this app to people who have dreamed of playing piano.

This app is amazing! It really helps you nail reading notes and how to place your fingers on the keys. It almost plays like a game (guitar hero or rocksmith but for keyboard!) There are so many song choices to practice! There is something for everyone! I could not reccomend it enough! Only problem I have is a slight delay or pause every once in a while when you play the full songs. (Only irritates me if I'm trying for perfect or 3 stars to master a song) other than that, the app is fantastic!

The app is well thought out but the premium thing just sucks. $89.99 a year? Come on. It says in app purchases but the whole app needs to be purchased if you even want to learn the essentials. I've played piano at a very young age and I know that sheet music is still better than scrolling music. Sometimes you can't even keep up with the song and overall, it's not a good app for beginners. I would recommend Yousician because it has lessons updated every day, and you don't have to pay for it.

I love the app. I love the way concepts are explained, and the interactive practices. I have improved and learned so much in the last 8 months. I do wish more sheet music was available or I could choose certain songs to get sheet music to. I feel I need it when I'm really struggling with a difficult song or trying to perfect one. I would also love a feature that can play the whole song for me so I can understand a complex rhythm or timing.

The effort is great, the app is really good for beginners . But there are gliches.I am at intermediate 1 level now and it is super frustrating.sometimes when i play a song on my piano, the app just stops taking my input and then it tells me play it without the background music in slo motion and even in slo mo it doesnt take my input and im stuck in a loop. There is no option to skip the song and take the next lesson. Im stuck in one place and its suffocating.

Practice mode is terrible, please allow people to turn it off altogether if/when they dont need it. Also, please make it so that the "reduced volume" message when your phone cant hear isn't blocking the top of the sheet music. Shocked that any major app would do something so ridiculous. At least put it to the far right so it's not directly blocking the notes you need to play. If you fixed these things (which c'mon, just make a checkbox in the options) I would give this a 4/5.

Very good. Unfortunately I can't afford subscribing to play which makes me really sad. I wish I could. I'd be willing to watch a ton of ads for it but sadly I can't pay to have the subscription 😞. If I could watch ads for a free experience I would give 5 stars. The amount that I DID do was very helpful and made me enthusiastic to keep playing. Its just sad I can't continue with this app for free.

Enjoying getting back into piano playing with this app! It's easy to use and progress. There is a lot of emphasis on chords though, and I'm really surprised not to have seen any lessons that cover rthym or tempo or even more info on timing (e.g. 4/4 time vs 3/4 time) even though I'm well into the intermediate lessons. Would also like more classical options for song practice. But overall a good app. My 70+ year old mother and 12 year old son are also enjoying it.

Amazing app, would be awesome if the key name to the notes ( c, d ,e ,f etc ) in displayed as well during the practice in music scale ( not sure what to call it as I am a noob). Not everyone is good at sight reading but still would like to learn to play a song. But anyhow great app for us who cant afford to pay for music classes initially, if only we could at least watch adverts to access more of the tutorial instead of straight to premium. tq for making this app!

UPDATED: AVOID. All their budget went on advertising, not the app. It's a joke how bad this is. Been on four months and it is infuriating. I don't have loads of time to practice but when I do, I spend most of the time having to deal with the app not understanding the D chord, not registering I've passed a level, making me repeat the same old things again and again and again. I can't recall the last thing I was this infuriated. AVOID.

Great app!! Just one note... Wish you could choose from a menu for practicing. The 5 min practices are great as a warm up, but it would be great if you could select from a menu. Currently working on improving sight reading sharps and flats, and I would love to be able to practice that for while with continual randomly generated notes.

I've noticed some glitches/lag in the program. As well as not registering when song have been completed for stars to advance. Which is I believe lessens the sheet music you unlock. As well as some issues with not registration particularly em, f bass cord and seems like other bass cords as well. Which seriously effects progress as you get passed the basics. You can buy an adapter that supposedly helps. Some of the lag/glitches getting fixed would be helpful, but note registering fixes are a MUST!

Great way to learn piano on your own time! Only a month in and I can see it is perfect for the singer wanting to accompany themselves! I LOVE how the lessons are constantly applied to songs I already know! I only have a cheap 49 key piano from 1996 and use my phone and headphones with a microphone and my experience is still exactly what I need. So don't think that you need a bunch of expensive equipment to learn to play piano!! Minor tech issues but their support team was very helpful 😊

I would give it a 5 stars but unfortunately when I use the midi connected to my phone every works fine but it lags/freezes during the moving parts which makes it frustrating when it does pick up the right notes when it lags then it shoots forwards when it stops freezing making it difficult to play. I enjoyed re-learning piano again using the keyboard on the app but when I tried using my upright piano. It seems faulty in hearing the pitch/key when placing so close to the sound already so, when I play the piano during the timing/practise without the singing, there's no problem. But, when it's to play with the audio, it forever never catches the pitch. Got tired of it.

My daughter has been enjoying the program and we decided to try premium. However on android I found the process a bit concerning. I wasn't sure my card info would be safe. Entering my card info to a form in the app... anyone can add a secure lock icon. And then the ui pops up and fakes the google in-app purchase layout. This would have felt much safer with a code purchase from the website, or a real google pay in-app flow.

This is a great app and my daughter enjoys using it. We have tried paying for premium several times using different bank cards but the payment is never processed. We have therefore had to repeatedly sign up for free trials in order to continue using the app. There is no option to pay via the Google payment method which I would prefer. I am unsure how joytunes are making money if they are not receiving payments.

Really great app, I would rate 5 star but it can't seem to pick up 'G' at all? I haven't managed to get the app to achnowlegde it even once, i don't know whether it's my tablet that's the problem or the app but either way the app becomes almost useless for practice because of this issue. Although despite thay the app is helpful for learning how to read sheet music even if I'm unable to practice playing my keyboard along to it.

Great app with a few nuances. Please add in the settings to remove the auto decrease volume feature, if I miss just a note or two due to human error it reduces the volume even though it's picking up notes perfectly. Not only is it annoying but the notification itself is extremely distracting! Other than that it's the best app, but it's so frustrating it's kind of a deal breaker. Please fix and I will give 5 stars and consider a subscription.

Too expensive to be faulty. Unable to recognize the notes even if they're done/played correctly. Again, TOO EXPENSIVE TO BE FAULTY. My daughter got so frustrated playing and I got so frustrated watching how faulty this app is. What a rip off. You guys should think twice if all the frustration is worth the trouble before paying for the program. Don't get your hopes up after purchasing. Looking back I remember, I bought a new keyboard so I am trying out the app to find out if I can use it to start my playing of music until I have gotten a chance to go to the real school to finish up . The app will often struggle to identify notes on an acoustic piano. But the main issue I have is any song that doesnt start with immediately loud notes the app will keep lowering the volume. The popup this generates obliterates the screen meaning any notes you need to see are hidden. It would be great to be able to disable this feature. Other than that it is great for learning.

I used to be so bad at piano chopsticks was hard, but now I can actually do a bunch of basic songs. By far, the best piano learning app I've tried and I was NOT paid to say that. There is a problem though, when I am playing the piano on the app and it turns down the app volume so it can here me better the notification for that blocks the notes for my right hand so I can't see any of the right hand notes I'm supposed to play. Please move the notification in a corner or maybe just make it smaller.

I love this app! It's great for adults! Really user friendly and easy to follow. I downloaded it for my kids to use, they're having a little trouble. The tempo for the songs is too fast for them, and as far as I can see, there's no way to slow it down. I really want this to work for them, so I'm hoping to hear from tech support. Beyond that, the only glitch is th at sometimes the app thinks I've played a note twice when I've only played it once. Which can make practicing a little hard.

It only works with computers and I'm with a cellphone I don't have a computer and because that I can't get the same experience as someone that has everything and its unfair. Have had this app for 3 months and am enjoying it. I've always wanted to learn piano but never had opportunity. Have signed up for 3 more. Great app for learning basics, improving music knowledge and learning all sorts of songs. Can be too repetitive on simple lessons and won't let you move forward to more complex things until completed. Sometimes doesn't manage to hear notes especially in chords (this could be an issue with my phone, so you can hook your phone to piano for a better gauge).

Mostly very enjoyable & I've learned a lot really quickly. However the app can be hugely frustrating in the way it frequently crashes & then sends you back to the beginning of whatever exercise you have been working on. This happens multiple times per session & has sometimes happened when I've reached the last bar or so of a piece that has been challenging, sending me back to the beginning when the end has been in sight. This has sometimes resulted in me turning off the app for a day or so.

Its mostly ok, but there are multiple problems. First, the app wont recognise my playing, even if it is done correctly. Second, it is extreemly inconvenient that the very first free course contains very few songs, and the touch screen course contains more songs which isnt fair, i have a keyboard and should be learning.(touch screen os more difficult to use.) Third, TOO MANY PAID courses!! I cant spend money on that! I have more important things to spend on. U have 2 mny prblms. Sry.

Good and learning quickly but chucks in very fast songs when still a beginner which is frustrating. Lower tempo to gain confidence would be better, or ability to slow down songs in e.g. essential 2 learning modules not just in the free choice songs. Also American which may bother some brits as they use different terminology, so if you have some rusty experience can be annoying.

I've been using this for about 5 months now and I would say that I really enjoy it, and not being able to afford a piano instructor, it really saved me. My only complaints are that it's sound recognition isn't perfect which is entirely my fault since I could go out and buy the extra hookup to make it perfect, and the other complaint is that there isn't as much sheet music. The app was great as far as the free trial goes but they literally bait you into buying yearly subscriptions. They tell you how much it'll cost per month but you'll actually pay for a year. My biggest problem is that the app that its passing you on things you aren't good enough to pass. It also doesn't disqualify you for pressing the wrong note and if you press a note that is in front of a note that you were supposed to play it passes you. I'm not at a stage where I'm stuffing up 60 percent of the time and its passing me of things I've clearly got incorrect. I bought a years membership so I am very disappointed about this. At this stage I'm not learning anything because of this

Best piano leaning app. It makes me learn piano perfectly. Just one problem. When I am going to access the premium course it is showing the parental verification to move two fingers to the right. I am doing that but the verification is not going. And I can't see the package details for purchasing. Please correct that issue, so that I will give 5 stars and also I will purchase the premium package. Thanks

Its a good app, but the whole family HATES that is always turns down the music so it can hear u better. Often before it even has you start playing a note its dropped the volume 2 or 3 times. Then when it does it mid song, the alert saying its turning the music down obstucts your view of the notes so you have to stop playing and wait for the message to disappear. Would be a 5 star app if not for that garbage system. For the love of god please make it stop!! Add an option to turn off in settings

It's a great app to learn piano. It's interactive and interesting for all ages. But it would be better if you could play a few songs for free. I understand that the programmer wants profit but there should be at least a appropriate number of songs to practice. If they do that in the next update, I'd be more than happy to give 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I loved this app, until it updated. I'm not sure if it was the switch from iPhone to Samsung but I can't play it at all anymore. The new sound recognition, when it turns down to here your better playing has completely ruined the experience for me. I love playing along with the music and now it turns it right down to nothing and its still doesnt pickup my 'better playing' it won't pickup anything at all. Really disappointed 😞

Its sooooo awesome! I am trying this app for the first time and so far its great!😃 Except I would have liked if it had a kinda test thing in the begining. Just so they kinda know where your at. Because I learned as a kid. But they gave me beginner notes. Otherwise tottaly love it! Recomend it to those trying to learn piano

I really want to love this app. I have spent plenty of hours on it and it has helped me begin to learn piano, but some of the songs (recently it seems like most of the songs ) are out of sync with the notes. So if you play the note when it tells you to on the app you are actually about a note ahead of the music. That makes it difficult to accurately play the song without just completely disregarding the music in the background. If they can fix this problem I would happily give it 5 stars.

Absolutely love this app! So perfect for people looking to get into the piano. I've had hours of joy learning to play and read music with this app. Couldn't recommend it enough. Had a slight issue with app at one point but the team responses to me so quickly to rectified. Thank you thank you thank you

I've had to come back and amend my review. At the beginning it's okay as it only needs to recognise one key at a time but the more you play the worse it gets. I've completed maybe half the courses and it's basically unusable now. I often need to hit the same keys 3-4 times before it moves on so I'm left repeating the same part over and over hoping this time it works so I can proceed. Very annoying and destroys motivation. Wouldn't recommend until they improve it significantly.

Great app only problem is sometimes it don't hear when you press 2 or more notes at the same time. Progression is great. I'm a first time player and I'm feeling quite confident in my playing. I would have no problem giving 5 stars if it heard every note and yes I have the Mic as close as I can to the speaker and the volume maxed in hopes that the app can hear.

Very grateful to this app to help me learn the piano. Enjoyable, worth the money. It teaches you in steps, and also there are plenty of songs to learn. I use a bluetooth midi, and sometimes there are some bugs connecting. Once I connect the recognition is perfect.

Their subscription options are extremely misleading! It tells you what you pay per month and what that would cost for a year. I thought I picked the cheaper by month option for the year so they would charge me monthly. I lost my job with Covid 19 and you can imagine my surprise to see an 89.99 dollar charge from this app now that my free week subscription is over. $8 a month is reasonable but a one time large charge like that for an app is unacceptable.

This app isn't worth the storage space it takes to install. I thought I was getting an app to teach me piano but all I got was an app asking for all my money to do more than the beginning lesson which only teaches you middle C through E. You have to pay to learn anything else with this app. Ntm it had multiple audio issues. If I could rate it less I would. Don't bother with this app, if you have the money for it go to an actual teacher instead of wasting it on this trash.

Its a great app because it helps you learn how to read piano music notes as well as sync it with the piano keys. My one concern was that the app does not allow me to reverse my option to use the keyboard on the phone. It seems like as soon as I pick the option that I have a keyboard at home it does not allow me to change it to the keyboard that the app provides. I do have a keyboard in my living room but sometimes I want to practice playing while I am laying down on my bed. The tempo is fast

Simply piano has changed me. At first I only knew how to do nursery rhymes, but know, I can play hallelujah and dance monkey! This is amazing. I definitely recommend this. Now I Can play with 2 hands and do chords and I'm even about to enter a talent show to play dance monkey. I also LOVE how you can do challenges, and if the level your on is too hard for you, you can go to the songs section, and play some amazing tunes! Plus, if other people want to play, you can just switch profiles!

Excellent learning app. Beautifully designed. Well thought out and fun lessons. Good choice of different songs to learn. The midi input sometimes lags a little behind the notes and the time bar can be a little off sometimes. Hopefully these bugs can be sorted out in future patches.

This app shows some potential, but not enough for me to continue past the free version. I found that that there were some pros, such as the instruction videos telling you about posture and how to read notes between lessons. However, the app is out of time with the sheet music, it's difficult to hear, and each lesson doesn't give close to as much info/instruction as an actual piano teacher (app only corrects notes/time). I'd suggest finding a real teacher if someone really wanted to learn piano.

This is an awesome app. Anyone can learn how to play the piano from it. I'm Very satisfied with this app but it can be improved by making the piano to be movable on the screen for those using the piano screen.I hope anyone from joy tunes reads this cause it can be improved this way maybe they can remove the guiding letters for the ones who have been through the basics. But anyway it is nice. Bravo to the producers. very enjoyable app.

I am 48 years old and have never learned to read music or play any instrument. We got my son an electric piano and this app came as a free trial with the stand. Now I can't stop playing with it! The app makes it so easy and enjoyable! Don't worry, my son plays it, too, but he hasn't gotten hooked on the app like I have. I like how it prompts me to practice and corrects my mistakes. Sometimes I feel it moves too fast, but I think in the end that will have been helpful.

App is fine, learning is fine, customer support is appalling. Canceling this app is not easy and when you do, it DOES NOT mean it's actually canceled. They now have an automated support bot and one of the automatic items is "the app got renewed and I never asked for it". ONE OF THE AUTOMATIC RESPONSES! That means it happens all the time. It's disturbing.

Someone who doesn't know how to read music sheets and how to place the fingers right. And basic daily finger training is really made simple in this. Many professionals might say, this isn't covering many aspects and that and this, don't listen to them. I've benefitted immensely and recommend you to buy a paid app plan like just I did.

Quite a shame. Saw the ad, got impressed and downloaded. I'm playing in a foam insulated room that's quiet as hell. The app picks up errors randomly and keeps putting me in practice mode even though I didn't get a chance to even make a mistake. Highly disappointing.

I never knew i'd enjoy playing the piano this much. Im grateful to the genius who thought of it and the whole support team that made this happen. Learning from simply piano has given me an open mind and introduced me to another musical world. Though at times I may become sloppy or loose my motivation, im grateful that the app itself pushes me to go on.I would like to say Asante!
