Very frustrating app. Even on full volume it doesn't recognize when you've hit a note half the time so you're constantly getting things wrong that you're actually doing right. Its making it very difficult to learn. Please update the app so it listens to the notes people are playing! That's the entire purpose of this app! Also be careful if you purchase the whole program, I was under the impression it would charge 13 something a month, not the entire year payment all at once!

  2. Lucy Ebunu-avatar

pc This is the best app piano app on earth Trust me. Im not joking. I have a piano at home but I always felt like I was under using it. So one day I bump into apps that can help one learn how to play. I downloaded about 6 of them. I checked our every single one that I downloaded and all disappointed me. I felt depressed and disappointed. Then I saw this and guess what? You don't even need to connect it to the piano. It just detects the sound. I'm not easily pleased but this just blew my mind.

  3. Alexandre Ruel-avatar

android I was a beginner and now I can read music sheets and I am learning piano at a good pace ! It is fun and easy ! The only reason that I don't give 5 stars is because sometimes it doesn't recognize all the notes I am playing (only on a specific chord) and also sometimes I don't see the videos, the screen is just black. Otherwise, I will keep using it because I love to learn with the app and there is so many good songs !

  4. Rob Gazaway-avatar

download pc Great app and after completing the intro course I went ahead and signed up for the trial version. So far I'm making more progress than I have since I started learning during the past 3 months. My only real issue here is that the app occasionally stops suddenly or even fails to register the notes I'm playing. Some updates in order to fix this issue would be appreciated.

windows This is a good app. However it pales in comparison to the features on the iOS version. Sadly they have more songs, better features that actually make it easy to learn to play. These features should be the first ones they should have included. An example is your able to rewind song playback and change the tempo to 60 or 80 or 100% which is really useful and helpful. I hope these features come to the android version soon.

  6. Marie Lee-avatar

premium free My fingers are learning to play in a fun environment that I can jump on when there is time. I love the variety of songs. I do wish you could rewind to a specific if section instead of having to replay the whole song or go back to the practice lesson. The only problem I've run into is my phone not always picking up all the note on certain chores. I am really enjoying playing though; more than I thought I would.

  7. themightyzed3-avatar

youtube This is the best app to learn piano! It keeps your attention span and you learn so much so fast, yet have so fun because it's like playing a game but learning at the same time! The only problem I'm having is I use a keyboard that does not directly connect to my phone so some chords it's hard for the app to hear which can be frusterating because it will tell me to re-do something when I know I got it right.

simply+piano+by+joytunes v3.2.4.mod.apk I have been playing about 3 weeks now, I practice 30 min daily. I'm so impressed with how easily I've been able to progress, to read notes, play with both hands and learn chords in this amount of time. There are some note recognition issues but I have a cheaper keyboard. With a modern keyboard you can plug into the audio jack to resolve this. This program is very affordable and well worthwhile. p.s. I have minimal musical background, I played flute in 6th grade decades ago.

  9. Damian Wader-avatar

apk Fantastic app for all levels of piano learning. Combines awesome visual, audio and repetition for amazing progress. However, it doesn't work and when you ask for help support just says your piano is out of tune our app works fine. Problem is I plugged my keyboard into the app via USB and it makes the same mistake. I asked for a refund now they won't talk 😣 to me 😡 at all.

  10. Nmesoma Sings-avatar

premium apk I say this because the app is good, but I still experience some problems. For example, I don't have to play a note and then it doesn't recognize the note, but when I play the wrong no, it does recognize it and for like the chords the see d and g chords. Only the d chord works. The see and d g. Courts do not work so I will have to play them without bass, but there's a lot of other problems, and I just wish that they will fix the app because it does teach piano if it wants to.

  11. A.S. Ashutosh-avatar

This app is awesome though it first didn't hear my notes properly and took C for E,D for F but after changing my trans. to -1 it heard all the notes correctly . This is the best app for learning CASIO. This app works perfectly fine and has no issues I recommend this to all the beginners. This app will really help you learn fast. In this Lockdown (due to Corona) this app has proved to be very useful. We have time to practice. It's better than the app of CASIO Ltd. I really loved this app.

  12. Zo Marie-avatar

I love this app so much. I haven't played piano since I was a kid and this app made it incredibly easy for me to reteach myself. The songs mixed throughout each lesson make it so much fun to play, only wish sound recognition was a little better on the mic...I need my keyboard on full blast for the app to pick up my notes. Definitely recommend!

  13. Seinfelony-avatar

As an amateur musician and beginner to the piano, I can't in good faith recommend this to anyone trying to music. First off, the metronome for practice mode is slower than the actual song, which is completely asinine. Second off, It almost seems as if you have to play slower than, or at least off beat to, the actual song. I'm sorry if I come off as harsh, but this is the most legitimately angry I've ever been with an app.

  14. Matylda Adamek-avatar

This is a great app for kids who want to learn piano but sometimes when the device is listening to the piano or keyboard it takes some notes in as if you've played them wrong when you've actually played them correctly. Apart from that I think this a great way to learn piano, especially since the time the coronavirus appeared.

  15. Lynsay Gebbie-avatar

Extremely disappointed in this app! I played piano throughout high school and used this app to help refresh my mind. The app didn't register half of notes that I played because I was actually following the rhythm so when I switched to focus on playing the notes I couldn't play the correct rhythm in order for the app to register the notes! I would not recommend this to an experienced piano player let alone a beginner!

  16. Blue Army-avatar

It is very Educational on how to play the Piano, i like the way it slowly tutors you as you improve and then it lets you redo it again to make it integrate into your head, it's just awesome to do it that way, it's very comprehensible, yet i am still a learner, but i surely expect to learn more and be adequate with the Piano, following the App's impressive tutorials.

  17. UnKownGaming Y_T-avatar

    UnKownGaming Y_T

This app is sh**. Its really bad. Don't buy it. Absolouty a scam. The price is good tho, but something low price and is good is not possible. There is the problem of note recognization, and that just causes alot of trama and hate to the app. But overall, I think it's still a pretty cool app and intermediate people can't really learn anything from this. This app is only recommended for beginners

  18. Gamer Girl-avatar

I'm just starting out leaning piano and I thought the app was very helpful. I wish I could continue using it but sadly I don't have the money for the premium subscription to go beyond the basics Edit: after getting the free trial I decided I wanted to cancel after not being able to finish a lesson because it wasn't registering the notes. I tried to cancel several times and got an error message. I emailed the company and got an automated response and they charged for the full year subscription.

  19. Courtney Smellink-avatar

    Courtney Smellink

No idea where that bad review came from?! Sorry about that, I didn't put that! My kids love this app and it works great, bought the year subscription. Just the right amount of repetition to keep them interested/challenged. I like that it focuses on music more than leaping into theory work (which made a lot of kids drop out of classes when I took them as a kid).

  20. Em Em-avatar

Its a very good tutorial app i learned the most basic keys on my own! I scored it 4 star because i think the free part is way too short, i hope they can add more songs to practice with the basic keys for free. I believe the app can offer more advance learning when you pay, so i hope they can be more considerate with more songs for the free keys.

  21. leo carona-avatar

I just installed the app and had been using it for about 10 min. I'm a very beginner of piano, and what I've seen of this app so far, it's a really easy, comfortable and modern way of learning piano. It feels like a game sometimes, but not a competitive stressful kind of game - it's the opposite, more like a team work because the app listens to you playing and gives you the chance to try again if it notices you're struggling at some point. I'll totally recommend it to my 72 y.o. dad too.

  22. Matilda Swan-avatar

I've been looking at some online lessons to try and get back into playing piano. This was so frustrating. Expensive, unclear and difficult courses wasting time. Then I found Simply Piano. What a difference! It took me straight back to my fun childhood lessons. I am improving my skills every day while having fun and playing hit songs. Lessons are visual with practical exercises. I would highly recommend this. You learn new skills while having fun and making memories with family. Thank you!!

  23. Monica Camacho-avatar

Horrible. Have been trying to cancel for over a week now. Originally cancelled before trial was over. But the continue to keep attempting to charge my card. I have emails support numerous times with no response. The directions given on the site to contact them do not work as there are no such options when you select contact us. Avoid at all costs!

  24. M Rodriguez-avatar

Like someone else said in their review, the app most of the time doesn't recognize the sounds and I have to restart the app and the tutorial video doesn't show the video, I only can hear the steps without the visual part, other than that, it's a good app to learn piano. Very easy to understand and follow. Just fix the recognition part. Thanks

  25. Hannah Leadbetter-avatar

I've never played the piano before and been very envious of my partner who can play. The piano in our dining room was collecting dust until I saw the advert for Simply Piano. I have been playing for 5 weeks now and can play loads of tunes! I am hooked. I love the gamification way of learning. Unlocking songs each 'level' you complete. Make sure you slow down though, it's very easy to skip through quickly. Master each section before you move on to the next. Love this app! Worth every penny.

  26. Ana-Maria Serban-avatar

I installed this app 2-3 weeks ago. I am a beginner, and at some point in the begining lessons the pace is way too fast to start with. They make you go crazy at some point. On the other hand the app kept displaying too many errors. After every task am error... way too many. I am so sorry, but I will uninstall it. I can't pay for this app anymore. Thank you!

  27. Cute Little Skeleton That Likes Drawing-avatar

Cute Little Skeleton That Likes Drawing

Okay, last time I had this I thought it wasn't working... Turns out I didn't have my keyboard on a high enough volume XD! I have the premium version of this app, and it is amazing. I have come so far with piano, and I've been playing things that I could never even picture myself playing! My goal is to play Fur Elise, and with this app I probably can! Thank you Simply Piano!!

  28. Tasha Williams-avatar

Paid for the full 12 months, so worth it! Started as a complete beginner and the difference in 3 weeks is remarkable! Playing daily and thoroughly enjoying it! Great app, only issue is sometimes it doesn't hear me now I'm onto chords but the app has shown me what adaptors to get for my keyboard to resolve the issue so will try this. 😊

  29. annaleah hernandez-avatar

    annaleah hernandez

It is a very good app except for two things. When the volume of the phone is so high where it things it's the piano, it turns itself down. That itself is a good feature but a very big notification pops up and I can't see the notes which really bothers me. Then there is the sound hearing thing. Most of the time it's good, but sometimes it just suck where I have to play chords separately for it to hear it and it is so annoying. Also there are alot of annoying glitches.

  30. Victoria Blanchard-avatar

    Victoria Blanchard

Tried it for the free trial but it stopped being able to pick up the notes I was playing when I started chords. I decided to not continue with it and unistalled the app but forgot to cancel the subscription. It charged me £70+ for the whole year. I've been trying to get in contact with customer services but the app deletes my enquiries and all I get over email is "We're transferring you to a teammate who can help".

  31. Keira Barnes-avatar

Terrible, I got a yearly subscription but once I started the free trial the app stopped working properly, I tried to cancel it but it wouldn't work, and every time I emailed support I just got an automated response. It billed me twice for the yearly subscription and did it a day early, I'm not happy!

  32. Sammie Bush-avatar

This app has been great to relearn piano but I am having some very frustrating issues. First of call it WILL not recognize when I pay C from two octaves at the same time, so I've learned that I have to play one shortly before the other to have it be heard. Second, some of the lessons are WAY too long and repetitive. I just did the styling of A minor and I had to play Em, C, D, G and Am about 100 times each to pass it, all it did was make me frustrated especially since I have to do that trick.

  33. Jacob Su-avatar

Be aware of the free trial. My free trial ends April 10, 2020. I received an email today (April 9, 2020) that my free trial ENDED April 10, 2020 yet it is only April 9, 2020. I have already been charged a year subscription before the free trial ends. When I went to click the the cancel subscription button today April 9, 2020 it states that my subscription will end April 2021 and charged for a full year. Horrible customer service as no one responds back to email or chat.

  34. Angie-avatar

I absolutely LOVE this! I never paid for an app before, but this one is well worth the money, and probably better than getting a personal piano teacher. The explanations are straight forward and make so much sense. I subscribed to the one year trial, but I'm pretty sure I'll have it down way before. I just wish I didn't need earphones to hear the music full blast while playing, without it not computing my notes. That's the only thing that bothers me. Everything else is A+

  35. Peter Wood-avatar

I already know the piano, so I find the structure and availablitity of songs very good. It is not a good teaching tools for novices, however; the initial presentation of the notes is rushed and the student is punished for taking time to get the note and the finger right. Even when all the notes have been played correctly, the student will be forced to replay the same sequence of notes because of speed at a time when speed isn't important and accuracy is.

  36. Nathaniel Bush-avatar

I want to love this app. I practice almost everyday with this app or another one. Honestly, this one is infuriating. It recognizes single notes & chords pretty well when just practicing/learning those. However, when you try to play along with a song the whole thing falls apart. I use both a digital keyboard & a stand up piano. Doesn't matter. The app has extreme difficulty hearing a chord. Don't get me started on the worthless metronome. Think I can handle 4/4 time, but not according to this app

  37. funky-video-club FVC 1000-avatar

    funky-video-club FVC 1000

I'm sure it's a good app. But a while ago I got this and didnt have a keyboard, just to try it out. I never really got any progress done, I honestly just never played it. But I recently got a keyboard and I'm trying to switch it so I dont have to use the screen keyboard but I cant??? The tech support team isnt really answering my questions either. I would love to use it as it seems like a good app. But I honestly dont know what to do about this dilemma.

  38. gwstimbs-avatar

This app is amazing, and I absolutely love it! It has improved my piano skills a lot. My only promlem with this app is it can lag out and sometimes dosent hear you correctly. As an 11 year old and writing a review about this app, it must be good, right? I highly reccomend you give it ago if you want to learn piano. I suggest this for all audience.

  39. Judy Nor-avatar

This app is a discrasge!!! I finished my piano basics so I tried out the Song! GUESS WHAT??! I DIDNT LET ME USE IT! Also after a day I paid £11.99 for it, It credited me another £71 And I couldn't get refunds! So there's no point of deleting it when I paid! If you do buy this be aware of no refunds and charging extra money when you don't need to.

  40. Jordy Gomez-avatar

Great app. Started learning how to play on my keyboard and as long as you use a midi connection it works perfectly. My only complaint (reason for 3 stars) is that while I'm playing a song it will lag or glitch for a split second and mess up the flow and not read a note or two even though I hit them. If this gets fixed then I can comfortably give it 5 stars

  41. Oak Aitken-avatar

I've definitely improved using this course. It's paced well, with small enough goals that you feel like you are always making progress. Crashes are fairly common for me. I have to close the app and restart alot. I also wish I could set the app to be less forgiving sometimes. So that I don't just bodge a lesson. Tip! Connecting from an electronic piano to your device really helps. I used two cables to do this. Give the app a go, it's the most fun one I've tried!

  42. DANIELLE COX-avatar

I was learning and having fun. Itwas amazing and perfect at first. I loved this app and was obsessed until i finished it in 5 minutes. You only get to finish the basics aka the first level before everything else gets locked unless you buy premium. No ads that i saw on this said you have to buy premium. This would've been a 5 star rating of me saying about how good it is but it got ruined. Dont get unless you want to pay £5.99 a month.

  43. GBird Manners-avatar

This is the most amazing app ever!! I like to play until my fingers hurt!! I'm loving it! Anyway, I have had a couple of problems, however, they are easily fixable. The only 2 problems were: 1. My dad was playing on his profile, and when I went onto mine, it said I hadn't done any of my courses. I simply came out of the app and back in again and it had sorted itself out. 2. One day, I was playing and it started lagging really badly. We uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it was fine. 5 STARS!!

  44. Edy Lara-avatar

The app works perfect for learning, easy, entertaining and with tons of diffenter songs and styles. The reason I don't give 5 stars is because for Android the app lacks functionalities present in iOS such as: search button for songs, learning paths are divided (soloist or chords), and the practice mode lacks functionalities as well.

  45. Jonathan Nilsen-avatar

    Jonathan Nilsen

Honestly could be awesome. The apps fun to use and teaches you rudementary knowledge that you can build on later, my issue with the app is that I've tested it on three devices. On two of them, the video feed is about 5 seconds ahead of the music. Last device is a Chromebook wich isn't rly ment for this app at all, where the video has micro stutters (it's a pixel book, it's overpowered so idk why this is happening). Anyways, for having subscribed to this app, I don't feel I'm getting my money's worth. This app is half baked and shouldn't be having these issues. If these issues are fixed then I'll change the rating.

  46. Zarina-avatar

Picks up random sounds and counts them as notes. Even though I'm not playing the piano, just talking or something, the app picks up the sound and fills up the first 1-3 notes even though I didn't even touch the piano. Sometimes, even one note will fill like 3 notes or even the wrong note would be considered correct. It's a great app but please fix your bugs.

  47. Chunyan White-avatar

Totally worth it. Great game, making learning piano such a joy. I have tried and failed to learn piano several times in the past. This time, I am sticking with it and my whole family are now fighting to have a go every day for the last four months. I wish the subscription is cheaper but it has made learning so much fun. I like that it supports several profile for each family member to keep their progress separate.

  48. Eric Webert-avatar

Using with midi connection for a couple weeks now. Pretty solid. Making good progress while having fun. Difficulty seems to have ramped up significantly after flats and sharps are introduced, not just because of the additional notes, but song speed increased as well making things rather difficult. I think it could use some work on what counts as a "correct" key press. If I mash every key repeatedly it counts the whole section as a success with no penalty for the incorrect key presses.

  49. Kate Dimmer-avatar

As someone who has not ever played an instrument or has been able to read music, within a week of using this app I was able to read music, play with both hands and play the major cords. The app has great bitesize sections for you to learn which makes it enjoyable. The app has had me engulfed. As you gain skills you unlock songs to practice. The app is great as it can be connected to your piano/keyboard and it detects if you are playing the correct notes or not. Would strongly recommend.

  50. berta kasza-avatar

Im a beginner so I dont know much about music but this app is - as I know - super!! It makes me rehearse...which I hate...but this is the coolest thing cause it's like a real teacher...u love him but when he makes u repeat boring stuff than u hate him... But it goes fast...repeat..and then u r back to the fun stuff! Its real and good and fun but u still have to do what it says otherwise u cant go to the next exercise :) Its just cool! But still for children I recommend a professional teacher!!

  51. Isabel Borja-avatar

I hate this app! It's frustrating and it makes me cry it's to fast and the music is distracting I get to many wrong so I have to try about, 45 times to get them right . That's why I have this dum game 1 star .in the commercial the 5 year old had been practicing for 5 weeks and he knew how to play it I've had it for 7 weeks now and I bad.

  52. Emma Harvey-avatar

This apps software is super questionable. The timing is all over the place. The marker which is supposed to be following the notes hits them at the wrong time and only recognizes your notes ocaisionally. At first I thought it was me having crappy rhythm as a beginner but my husband is a professional musician and the app wouldn't even let him finish one song. Kept saying he was out of time and putting him in practice mode. Choked I signed up to this for three months. Should've just used YouTube

This game or whatever is THE BEST. I used to bed really had at piano litterlly!! It's such a good app!!! No adds, just like the ad, and u can play ur fav song!! I recommend you to install this thing!! And it goes with the beat!! It also makes sure that you are learning right👏👏👏👏 The best!! Install this and you will love it!! I'm so glad they made this game!!

It's amazing! I have always wanted to learn the piano! I was playing a game when this app got recommended to me, and I remembered our old keyboard. I downloaded the app, and it's so easy. I've tried to learn the piano before, and everything was always to complicated. This app made it simple. I'm only just beginning, but I know way more than I did a half an hour ago. I like how you simplify songs that sound hard to play, but are many people's favorite, then you play them. You think you are great!

  55. Ambie Shock-avatar

I just got this app. I loved it at first but as soon as you move on to using both hands, the app doesn't seem to register some notes and it will keep failing and you cannot move on until you pass the practice. I spent time (4 weeks) and money (a years worth) to use this app and I can't even use it

  56. Edward Arriola-avatar

I've been wanting to learn piano forever, and with quarantine and suddenly finding myself jobless, a cheap keyboard and an app sounded like just the thing. I'm lucky to have a little musical training in voice and a couple other instruments. One thing I really appreciate about Simply Piano is their adherance to sight reading. Apps which use lit up keys defeat my end game of being able to play sheet music.

Poor customer service. Hard to reach - only thru a chat whenever they respond. Email is unresponsive. The 800 # on our credit card is an automated message. We paid for the subscription and bc of user error we had to reinstall the app. The whole app reset as if we hadn't paid. It advertizes a monthly $ amount but doesn't disclose that the *annual* amount is charged. We saw the charge on our credit card. As for the app, we were progressing well but it did have glitches. We are out! ✌

  58. Sarah Blair-avatar

I have really enjoyed the extra songs added during lockdown too. Very good app. enables good progress and playing songs from the very start. new songs and new modules being added frequently which means we never run out of material. also the note recognition issues are getting better with each fix release or at least the tolerance levels so you can get through the levels and keep interested while learning new songs. I'm enjoying using the app and now been using it 6 months.

When playing chords app doesn't pick them up very well. It makes me play the same chord like 3 or 4 times becore it picks up the notes. This makes me very upset, the app also gliches a lot making me lose all my progress in the lesson. The screen just turns gray and then goes back fo the home screen of the app making me lose all the progress i have made which often makes me very angry. Other then that i really lk.e the app. I hope simply piano can fix this, it has been happening for a while.

I was shocked at first by the price for the subscription, so waited several months before I finally gave in and signed up. It's totally worth it! I love learning piano this way. I've been playing almost every day for 3 months now, and my piano skills keep getting better. I'm constantly challenged by the new lessons and songs, but the practice I get using this app makes it fun and I look forward to it every day. My daughter got interested in it after I started, so I created a profile for her and now she's moving up through the lessons. I love that they allow multiple profiles under one account, so we can each keep track of our progress separately. I would recommend this app to anyone, especially families that want to learn. I first signed up for 3 months, because I wasn't sure how long it would take to get through all the lessons. Now I wish I would have signed up for a year. There are so many lessons and songs to do, it'll take at least a year to get through all of it. They're always adding new stuff too, which is encouraging. I have a few complaints, but nothing serious enough to affect my 5-star rating. First, I wish the app would jump to my last lesson when I open it. As you get further in the lessons, you have to scroll pretty far to find your last lesson. It seems to remember your last the song though. Also, the MIDI connection stops working frequently and I have to restart the app to fix it. This gets to be annoying in the middle of practice, and then I have to swipe a bunch to find where I was at again. Also, the lesson intros that are just videos don't work very well on the Chromebook app. I have one recommendation to make the app better. It would be awesome if I could stop and rewind part of the song (instead of just going back to the beginning). Sometimes I just want to practice one small part of a song over and over so I can master it. I really love this app, and I'll continue paying for the subscription until I've completed all the courses and mastered all the songs. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I bought the 3 month subscription for $45. The next day, the app was having trouble connecting to the internet (no other apps had issues). We uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and suddenly, we can't access any premium content. We got a code to input, clicked "restore purchases" several times, no dice. I called support, it was a recording telling me to email. I emailed. I started a chat the next day. I *still* have not heard anything from them, and have a $45 app I can't use. Horrible.

Fun when it works. This app is a really fun way to learn the basics of playing piano. Unfortunately, half of the time I am trying to get the app to work. Sometimes it doesn't recognize any sound at all, while other times it only hears half of what I'm playing and I have to repeat measures again and again. Very frustrating. On the other hand, when the app works it is really a lot of fun. I have learned a lot in a short time. I would love to change my review to 5 stars after the fix!

  63. Maria Silva-avatar

I like the simply piano. At the start it is really at the start BUT when you have to play for it IT IS SUPER BAD!!!!!!!! DON'T install this app. Therr are a lot of comments that are 5 star but listen to the 1 star comments. i think when you start it and you dont have to pay it is good then after when it asks you to pay and you do it then it doesn't work!!!! SO THAT IS WHY I RECCOMEND YOU NOT TO INSTALL IT!!!!!!! And if YOU install it and pay and after it doesn't work, dont blame me!

Really quite frustrating to use. We have two profiles and can't access one of them; not sure what the point of setting two up is. It also doesn't recognise some notes so won't let you go to the next level (it will recognise them in 'practise mode'), doesn't recognise 'g' at all. Good idea but it's more frustrating to use than it's worth. The 'practise mode' makes you go even slower, and slower... But the issue is it not recognising when the correct note is pressed - 'pull your hair out' stuff!!

  65. Evi de Klijn-avatar

To start, I have spent hours on this app. It is a great step by step way to learn the piano. I recommend it. It does however, have some major issues. First off, I ended up borrowing my mother's electric piano. It doesn't always recognize chords and quick tunes or big accords are not an option. Second, the songs. The lyrics are one second ahead of your own notes. If you play to the song, you get a red mark. Infuriating at catchy tunes!!

  66. Grace Baldwin-avatar

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!! Downloaded this app for a 7 day free trial and then advertised at £5.99 a month which is manageable. How misleading it is. Went to cancel my subscription for endless amount of reasons such as app freezes all the time, doesn't pick up the correct keys, goes way too fast then constantly puts you on practice mode. List could go on. Turns out they whacked £71.99 out of my bank account without even consulting me and early. FALSE ADVERTISING!!! No one response to emails.

  67. Hanifa Tidjani-avatar

Absolutely worth paying for this app. A few improvements I would suggest: some notes are detected incorrectly (especially with flats and chords). It would be great to be able to set the tempo of the songs, sometimes they are too slow or fast. I dont always agree with their arrangement of the songs which can trip you up a little. There should be a version for windows/mac as looking at a tiny screen and the phones do not detect sound well. But fantastic app overall.

  68. Wandat46-avatar

Simply Piano is unscrupulous. I was using the 7 day free trial. I cancelled on the 24th of April, the last day of my trial. I even contacted them several times about a monthly subscription and they said they could send me a link, but I never asked them to send it to me because I can't afford it now. Instead they stole $119.99 out of my bank account on the 29th of April. After reading how people had issues on here I took a photo of my cancellation. I'm going to report them to the BBB, and FDIC.

  69. Jenn Sukhaseum-avatar

Although it's a fairly good app for someone who has never played the piano before, their customer service is absolutely horrible. They pulled the yearly payment a day early (conveniently on the same day I cancelled the subscription since it was the last day before the free trial ended) and will not respond to any of my emails about a refund. Now I have a cancelled subscription (but have paid the fee??) And my kids have no interest in continuing to play the piano.

  70. baldev sharma-avatar

Simply piano is what I reccomend to every beginner who is seeking for some skills. It has various types songs, choosing on your difficulty level. It is an app full of musical education and art.Just kidding. It is the worst app ever. Everything is for subscription.I hate this a lot. If you are a wise person do not install this app. It is a total time waste. WORST APP EVER!!! I don't know y people install these kind of apps. Total time pass. It is not what I expected from JoyTunes.

This is the worst app on the app Store. Please please - do not waste your money. The app works by listening to your music and letting you progress to the next level. My app does not register notes and I have done everything (as per the app instructions) to try and solve this but nothing works. I asked them for a refund and they are taking NO note of this and I am stuck with this horrid app. There are thousands of ways to learn how to play the piano, this shouldn't even be your last option.

  72. Nina Verlander-avatar

I learnt to read music when I was 7 years old and played several instruments until I was 11, but gave it up. Want to learn to play my keyboard that my children bought me a couple of Christmases ago and this app is really bringing it all back. Very easy to follow and goes at a good pace. I should be playing again by next Christmas, especially as we're in lockdown!!

  73. NotAGenius-avatar

This app is great Ive learned so much already. However it's ability to tell what notes you are playing actually sucks. This app is definetley worth it. However it is SO frustrating when I play something perfect but it tells me I did it wrong. Also the practice mode feature on the songs doesnt help at all. It actually make its more difficult. And the lower volume thing doesnt help either. If Im going to play a song I want to be able to hear the backround music.

  74. Sean Powell-avatar

This app is great! With no experience I've learned to read music while also being able to play the basics of certain songs with both hand within a couple of weeks. The practice sessions serves as building blocks towards improving ones skills to better play song(s) that incorporate the material learned. The sheet music and the numerous songs which summarizes number of correct notes lends to self encouragenent and eagerness to continue to learn more. Love the app!

  75. Archer Bowman-avatar

Could be good, but falls short. The piano tracking is broken as can be, and somehow barely picks up my keyboard on full blast, which is loud enough for my neighbors to hear and my roommates to screech. If they fixed that, the app would be awesome, but since it's such a vital feature, I can't recommend this app at all. Great concept, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this problem remedied.

  76. Andrea Edmond-avatar

Very effective teaching tool. My 9 year old really enjoys and is playing with 2 hands after just 2 weeks. Camehighly recommended by a friend with 2 daughters that are younger than my child and love it. Customer service doesn't address each question I email. The customer support by phone isn't supportive. Just a voice message telling you to email them.

  77. Ren Lidang-avatar

Is this a scam? We only get to play on the first day we open the app. We like it and we purchased a year subscription. We didn't even enjoy the 7 day free trial and my credit card has been charged of $89.99 last April 5th, 2020. After I purchased, I am still unable to get access to the songs and it's still asking me to go "premium". When I click, "restore purchases", it says " no valid purchases on this account". I've been contacting them for 5 times but nobody answer. They've got my money.

loved the app at the start i already knew how to play with my right hand 🖐and a little bit on the left but i wanted to revise from the start so i downloaded it i already had some experience with the app before but i didn't do that much the only down fall is that you have to pay for all the other courses other than the basics pleaser joy tunes can you make them free

  79. Lynn Koh-avatar

I purchased the app last week and it was working fine for one day. But when I tried to access it again the next day, it couldn't capture my subscription. I have emailed the support. Disappointing. It has been more than 5 days and there is no reply at all from JoyTunes. Not via email nor via the app!

  80. aylin Saeteros-avatar

At first it was going great but then when I finished my lessons it wanted me to pay for other songs. After I put my credit card it still wanted me to pay more and I didn't even get the premium I payed for. When I play the piano it doesn't even hear me I put it up to the max volume and right next to the speaker and it still doesn't work it makes me restart everything! I hope you fix it.

  81. Maya Mancinas-avatar

When I first started playing it was fine. It asked me if I had experience, put yes, it said this is where the note c is. Which I didn't think anything of. It gave me choice of a song. I picked. Then when I got to that stage it said I had to pay to continue. The sound was off and never registered notes correctly. I don't recommend this app unless you want to pay for piano lessons that aren't good.

  82. Ian Moorhouse-avatar

I tried the 7 day free trial of their paid for ,premium, service. Wasn't for me. I emailed them several times over a period of days before trial ended, to ensure it wasn't renewed. Only ever received automated responses. Today, not only has my bank card been debited for an annual subscription, they have taken TWO annual subscriptions from the same card. I immediately called them ( a number in USA ) that directs me to email them. Called my bank as I suspect fraud. BEWARE.

  83. Villi Hris-avatar

Very fun and entertaining! You can learn notes or chords by playing famous songs. I am a guitarist, but I always wanted to learn simple chords on the piano. I'm not much into complex piano pieces, so I learnt only the notes basics, and then followed only the chords courses. Now it's great I added piano in my recordings! What's greater is that by watching me, my kids also got hooked up and now we play and sing together Someone You Loved (Capaldi) or Too Late to Apologise (One Republic) - super!

  84. Kimja V.-avatar

Like many, I loved the app intially, but too many glitches (freezes, does not recognize some notes,...). Also, some of the practice songs you have to play over are extremely annoying, too many instruments and beats, sounds more like for a synthesizer than piano, which has really started bugging me and is becoming almost unbearable.

I registered for the 7 day trial & there was a service error.I emailed them about this, never heard back so deleted the App from my phone. I then get billed for the whole year!I have emailed them, gone through social media and no response. Was happy to pay but with this service I received before even using it I am not happy at all and shocked I have been scammed! Check their facebook visitors posts I'm not the only one who has had these issues.

The free lessons are a little short, but good enough. I had a problem with my keyboard where the app would register one touch as two. Probably would have subscribed if it was through the play store - you need to enter your CC and I saw complaints in the reviews of being unable to cancel. That would not be a problem, then.

Simply piano took my money without my permission. I canceled the subscription a day into the free trial. I couldn't afford this month. Still wanted to sign up next month. No big deal. It was one for simply piano. I STILL got charged. And overdrafted. And now no one is getting back to me on getting it refunded for the time being. They will take your money and run with it DO NOT trust them Its sad. Because its a wonderful tool and I wanted to use it. BUT WILLINGLY. Reporting to FTC ASAP.

The app for whatever reason refuses to understand when I hit a low D and keeps saying I'm hitting a high F this is a problem that I'm facing on one of the FIRST FEW TRAINING MODULES after giving them 3 months of subscription time. This feels like an absolute rip off and a refund is necessary safe yourself the trouble the software is garbage and will only hinder progress not help you make it as someone who wants to learn

I love this you can unlock songs and right now there is a challenge area and I have 3 songs left and they with open on 30 April 2020 and I am already on Essential III and I am already on like the first song of Essential III and I am so happy whenever i play it!!Whenever I play the app/simply piano once I am done my mum and dad are so happy and since the ads kept on coming I decided to get the app and then a couple on days since I got the app and I was nearly not new I liked the app and I happy!

  90. Ramesh S R-avatar

The app is so awesome but it will be so interesting if the premium feature is not available . It will be $3 for an American, but as an Indian I should pay ₹ 300 which is considered so costly in my country . I kindly request you to solve this problem . If solved I will recommend this app to so many Indians. Thank you

  91. Roula Said-avatar

I am finding this app SO disappointing. Sound is terrible. Note recognition is faulty even with pro quality midi cable. Support is really slow. And I cancelled my subscription renewal which then cancelled my premium membership even though I have just under a year left. I wish I had given this one a miss!!!

  92. Tabish Nawaz-avatar

So disappointed. I started off LOVING this app. During the current lockdown I decided to learn how to play my sister's piano. The starting of this app was amazing, and I started getting the hang of how to read sheet music (5 notes) faster than I though. even ended up paying for the year. But I will now cancel. The app sometimes randomly thinks you're playing notes you're not playing and fails you. It's such a frustrating experience and has been an absolute deal breaker. Hope it gets fixed.

  93. David StClair-avatar

I'd like to give this app 5 star but there are some glitches that need fixing. On the free trial the app worked perfectly since purchasing the app to move on to essentials the app fails to recognise a lot of notes making us fail our levels. I've checked for software up dates on the tablet and we're up-to-date. I have to restart my device to get it work for 5 minutes then it happens again. I've downloaded onto a different device and it's better but still glitches and I have to restart the app.

It was good my little brother tried it too,he already knows a bit.He got frustrated at some points in playing, but then got it. I like this app and I would recommend it if for starters like my other brother literally doesn't know how to play piano at all,OR people who went to just learn more piano.

  95. JACLYT GAMING-avatar

I am super angry with the app! The mic does not work well, it cant read what you are playing on the Piano, well I try to restart the app, but its still not working! When I reach pop chords g major it cant read well! I doesn't suggest you guys to buy this app! Not worth at all! I wish the app creator will fix this! And i hope the creator see this! Because I wish my parents to buy this app, but when I bought it I regret! Uf you buy it you will regret too!

At first I loved this app. But the further you progress, the worse the app becomes. When trying to learn chords the app cannot pick up the notes individually so it thinks you're not playing them and will make you fail the section and redo it over and over without an option to progress. This app would be incredible and so worth the money if it either had better audio technology or an option to over ride the audio and learn without it. 1 star also for the non existant customer support.

  98. Barry Brosnan-avatar

The app is very good and enjoyable and I'm learning a lot from it but it lowers the volume of the phone quite often and when it does an image drops down onto the screen and blocks the notes you need to play next. This regularly causes you to miss notes and go back to the start. I'm starting to find this infuriating. The lower volume message could appear at the bottom or side of the screen.

This is a very great app but if you are using this app attach a hdmi cord it will be better then not because it can't properly hear the cords the payment is very a very good deal so when you finish the first course and you have to get premium for the rest get it ten dollars a month after you learn you will love this app.It may have some difficulty but you will be perfect in a month. Its a step to step guide to a journey of piano from the basics to pro handling. Im ten and I am a proffesional.
