System only supports 32 character WIFI passwords. Seriously?? I had to upgrade because of the lack of support on the original system. While setting the new one up I discovered the system only supports 32 character WIFI passwords. Really?? This is a security company with 1990s security. If I could return it, I would. I guess it's great for those people that use admin and password for their WIFI networks.

I am technologically challenged. When I first received the box I was afraid. It took me four days to open. Upon seeing all the boxes inside, it sat for another week. When I finally built up enough nerve to install the alarm I worked very slow and methodically. Reading the instructions scared me because it just seemed to easy. However I persevered, took my time and only installed and connected one piece at a time. It took me two days to actually turn it on and start using it. Much to my surprise, no false alarms. Set up a pin for my daughter too. The evening we first started using the alarm We were sitting in a restaurant and looking at our house through the cameras. We tried to call the dogs through the speaker in the camera but they were probably asleep on the couch. I have two suggestions. 1. I would like a simple keypad for another door. 2. Some more direction on where to place the various sensors.

The only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because the instant trigger function has to be set in both "away" and "home" settings. It would be nice to have a sensor set as "instant trigger" only if you are home (so if somebody is breaking in) but delayed trigger if you are not (like the front door which you maybe want to delay so you have time to disarm the alarm). I really hope they'll update this functionality in the future.

Had trouble with set up but had excellent customer support and now it works fine when my wifi works(the indoor camera is affected). The only regret I have is not getting the outdoor camera when it was free with the offer and found a way to attach it to the apartment. 2 large dogs do help letting know if someone comes around though.

My wifi is great, but the app/system has constant connectivity issues. Cameras sre not accessible from the app. Doorbell camera rings the bell but that's about it. App is slow to respond, if it responds at all. It's great in theory to be able to arm or disarm the system, or just check in on things while away. But more often than not, it just spins and spins without updating. Even while on Wi-Fi at home.

App seems pretty straightforward, easy to use and walks you through product setup. I went through bans was able to change things later which was nice. The app doesn't have a single ad. This seems like it should be a normal thing, but these days there are adds on everything. I'm giving it higher marks just because they did what I feel any business should do and not try to advertise on an already sold product.

Just made it through the 72 hour phase. But, I must say it's a pretty good system all in all. Just wish I didn't have to share my login with my wife. She's not happy with the notification she's gets whenever someone walks by or passes by in a car.. easy to set up (it wasn't rocket science), but I do agree that it should announce which sensor is activated like ( front door, living room window) and not in test mode only. Come on Simplidafe fix this please.

I was hesitant to get another home security system. I had Brink's for years, but had to have a landline and it was always having issues. Finally, figured in today's world it is best to be safe and decided to try SimpliSafe after reading reviews and I am completely satisfied with it. Pretty affordable, VERY easy to set up, and was able to customize it for my home. Ordered it all online, choosing only the things I thought were needed for my home. No salesperson talking me into things I didn't need. I had all the sensors installed and the system up and running in less than an hour. The app has been great, it controls everything remotely if I need to turn it on or off. I know if anything happens and can look in the house to see the animals if I want to!

EDITED - I hate giving 1 star reviews, but the fact that the app and widget log me out and cause me to have to log in every 30 days is ridiculous. In fact, it's not always even 30 days, it's random. I just had to login yesterday 10/13, and the widget is requiring another login today 10/14! Give us the option of staying logged in on both the app and widget! EDIT - I discovered that anytime I turn my phone off or restart it, it logs me out of the app. This needs to be addressed in a future update!

Not impressed... Expect to have to pay for monitoring. No means of storage playback or even recording. So you can buy a camera and you don't have a plan. The camera will not record. Stream sure but now would screen shot. Till I gave my card information to a new company. They don't accept paypal. They will want your account or debit card. It was really easy to setup. As soon as I tried to record. Total disappointment.
