SimpleRockets 2 requires 2GB of RAM.

SimpleRockets 2 is a fully 3D space sim that lets you build rockets, airplanes, rovers, or anything you can imagine and explore highly detailed 3D planets. Easily share crafts and saved games with the community. Included are 17 different challenges to put your creations to the test.

Build crafts by snapping parts together. Choose from the pre-built engines, such as the Mage, which is a powerful kerosene-fueled engine. Or choose the very weak, but highly efficient Ion Engine. Or you can dig deeper into the complexity of rocket science and design your own rocket engines. Choose from the eight available engine types, seven nozzles, and six fuel types. From there you can change engine size, nozzle length, throat radius, and more.

Use interstages to split your craft into multiple stages and piece together modular fairings to protect your precious cargo. Launch multiple crafts into orbit. You can dock with your existing crafts to build space stations, moon bases, refueling stations, etc.

Resize and reshape fuel tanks, wings, cargo bays, fairings, and nose cones with easy-to-use tools that help you create exactly what you want. Resize solar panels, wheels, pistons, shocks, etc to fit your needs. Paint your craft custom colors and tweak their reflectiveness, emissiveness, and texture styles.

Orbits are realistically simulated and support time-warp so you don't have to wait several months to reach another planet. The Map View makes it easy to see your orbits and plan future burns, which you can use to set up future encounters with other planets or satellites.

The flight model dynamically updates drag and lift characteristics of your craft as it changes. Re-entry effects kick in when you're screaming through an atmosphere at hypersonic speeds. Be careful, because the excessive heat can cause those aforementioned rapid unplanned disassemblies.

Download from a huge collection of user-uploaded crafts and sandboxes on our website. Upload your own crafts and sandboxes and share them with the community. Rise through the ranks from a white level builder to a gold level builder and beyond.

I wish there was the ability to involve all real physics in any game without blowing up a phone or having a small group working on the programs involved with an update once or twice a year. This one blows my mind away at first and still it comes up with regular updates improving all the way with those comments made on their forum. Its a creative minds sort of space that everyone from the game can discuss openly their objectives and download others. It gives new insight to a lot of fun builds.

  2. William M.-avatar

Ever want to just build a rocket, and fly to the moon, just to see if you can do it? This game is fantastic. Works well even on older phones. Makes complex rocket stuff as simple as it can be. Go fast, thrust prograde, keep the pointy part pointed towards the blue part, orbits are easily managed at their high and low points, crashes are part of the game. Ok,'re ready to fly. Developer is very responsive, pleasant, and will even answer your questions on Reddit.

  3. Ryan Pye-avatar

Loving this App!! It's more than just a game, it's like having your own little N.A.S.A. in your pocket!! One thing I would like to see however, is the ability to load up my own custom music to a launch; as of right now, I am forced to sync my launch with tracks from my Media Player App, which can be a bit annoying. Please add a feature where we can upload our own music into the game. Thanks!

SUCH A GREAT GAME! I love it because, you can build pretty much anything in just a 2.99 game!!!! Also great graphics great building from the community

  5. Damian Beverly-avatar

Ever since I bought the game on my phone I had tons of fun with it. It's like having N.A.S.A with you everywhere you go. Sadly I started trying to play it on my chromebook, but the game would keep crashing as if it wasn't compatible. I would love it if that would be your next update. Until then please keep doing a great job.

  6. Ad Sr-avatar

Played it for no more than two minutes. I regularly play KSP, yet couldn't make sense of this. A tutorial would be nice. Also, no refunds? Dick move.

Its not very user friendly(mobile version) on map mode. can you add engine shutdoown button&throttle and anti-target lock. even when Im zero on target its still moving. maybe thats why people say docking is hard. achievements I found out theres auto burn so, no need for new buttons. 4career mode. unlockable base on other planets or, better yet build base on an area that we chose. like bring materials on an area&then click OK 2build base(w/ launchpad of course)..dont tear your hairs off guys :)

  8. Chris Kearsley-avatar

This is a pretty hardcore space engineering simulator. Arguably it's a Space sandbox sim so there is a lot of learning as you go and incredible amounts of customizing/building/tweeking. Considering its a PC game ported to android it is by far one of the best space sims around. Personally my favorite. It has a very supportive dev team and website with an amazing community behind it. If you like anything space even those extreme sci-fi fan can find this game incredibly fun and scientific.

Great app but takes a while to learn (not a fan of new roboto font as well) pls change that i dont like that smooth font like calibri or something

  10. FireFalcon X-avatar

Basically a continuation of simple planes. Just focused on out of atmosphere action.

  11. Anthony Zouras-avatar

The games slow and unresponsive. Didnt bother tryin to fly for long. anytime I'd move a mouse the screen flashes black and back quickly, i could see a epileptic episode happening from it. And! its as poorly done knock off of kerbal space program, tbh id like a refund for this game after trying to give it a chance on my phone and Chromebook. Yet, I'd rather go thru the trouble of running a virtual linux machine and playing ksp that way on this computer if i must.

  12. Hd Movie-avatar

After the nav ball update my rockets that mind you have gone to orbit many times now spawn OFF the luanch pad an explode right away only very basic rockets dont detach the comand pod right away or blow up the second the game loads I PAID FOR THIS GAME

  13. Ebidex T.V-avatar

I love this game so much because you gets to build rockets and go to space just one problem is that the landing gear can sometimes be buggy when u land on another planet such as the moon.

Love this game. Please add multiplayer and parachutes for the astronauts

Hey can you find a way to make this game more stable? Lately since the planetary update my game crashes after 55min. Other than that great game maybe more engines and astronaut parts, maybe mechanical suits/ pre built mini rovers

  16. the undead1-avatar

Hard to use on a phone. Getting contact points to line up is a pain. But. It is a nice rocket builder. Worth the money.

  17. Bobby Walters-avatar

Great game, difficult to use on a smartphone. Probably better on a tablet

  18. hunter Evans-avatar

The graphics and physics are perfect for a moblie or computer game.

  19. Melanie Oulds-avatar

You may half to pay to get it but after that, there are no more paments. Its also a vary fun game, if you like rokets

Great game but freezes when I encounter Luna when not seeing the encounter in map.

Great app. Realistic physics, but docking is hard.

  25. Dustin Walker-avatar

Great app, just need a filter on the website between mobile & desktop generated vehicles

  26. Bole Hovis-avatar

This game is beautiful, and obviously designed with phones in mind. I had the game on my PC first, and it fits and works better in the touch screen setting. I love the astronaut expansion, and the ability to customize. It ensures that a rocket that you make is unique, and truly something to be proud of. Although "simple" doesn't describe the game well, the concepts are easy to pick up. I'd like to see many more planets added, as right now we only have access to Luna and Cylero to land on.

It's an okay mobile experience. Downloading PC created designs is your best bet. When creating your own designs on mobile, camera depth can be an absolute pain to deal with. Also I found mirroring parts didn't show up in staging which is critical. Maybe it's better on a tablet, but my phone is quite large. Overall I have a bunch of feedback that could benefit the mobile experience

  28. Xavier S-avatar

I'm addicted to a certain pc game related to space, and this is exactly what I was looking for on a mobile device!

    The Astrononeer

An excellent, well-made game. I personally enjoy this one way more than the original, as it is much closer to KSP. It's a lot like having KSP on my phone! However, I do find it hard to do orbital docking as the RCS are always spammed by the autopilot. Controls are also a bit rough. Even so, an excellent game!

The mobile app runs just perfectly. the Chromebook version used to run fine with very minor preformance deviations at times, but the new update brought one very big issue, and that is when you boot up the game and get to the start menu, you can move the mouse around but the display temporarilily flashes a black ribbon anywhere and anytime you move the cursor, neither the touchpad nor an external mouse will fix this. please fix this and then it will be perfect again

  31. Jacob Close-avatar

Best game I have ever played. Bored? Strap a rocket engine to a jet and make it a space flight. Want a helicopter? Make it, there are no propellors so you'll have to figure that out with your own brain. This is more of an engineers dream in some aspects then it is a rocket simulator. That part is incredible too, though. If you know coding feel free to make a self flying rocket and do as you please with it.

  32. John Zman-avatar

I enjoy the game very much but for some reason after logging in today I can no longer select anything or do anything. It's clear that the game is not picking up where I'm touching screen. I wish I knew what was happening cause I cannot play it anymore. I can't even select load game cause where I press screen it selects whatever is below where I press. Infuriating

  33. Michael Priddle-avatar

    Michael Priddle

Although iv only just started playing I've found that aligning engines can be tricky. Especially when the rocket is long. Would be useful if things like engines "autosnapped" to the bottom level of the craft then all I need to do it line it up to how I want it.

  35. elijah jolly-avatar

much improved over first version. been waiting almost a year for this one. manipulating rockets and parts is a bit ungainly but that's to be expected on a smart phone. learning curve involved with nav sphere. kerbal-ish controls.

Amazing This is hands down THE mobile Space Simulator

  37. Sepanta Aghvami-avatar

Good game. But it would be cool to have a better targeting on android, because when i target something, it is a km aside of the real target. And having life support system for the astronaut that seem to be invincible unless the self destruct.

A perfect way to play a full fledged space sim on a phone! The only thing it's lacking is more hints about programming the rockets, especially about using CPU chips.

  40. Haruto Games-avatar

Ive read comments a played the game my self. I agree with some of them, the gameplay is really nice, the controls are simple. It could use some things and do without some others but all in all i really like this game. I personally think it could do with a multiplyer and a bigger solar system, maybe some more places to travel to like other galaxies maybe some black holes or rogue planets. Good luck developers and may this game grow in both the pc and mobile community.

  41. Joel Colden-avatar

Absolutely insane, the first was ok. But this... If you're on the fence just do it.. beyond worth it if you have ANY interest in spaceflight.

  42. Lone Shield-avatar

Love SimpleRockets 2! I wanted first person so bad that a wish came true so happy with update what would be awesome next that would be sweet to see is blackout's and seeing red maybe some G force breathing pressure to fight not to pass out also physical buttons and LED screens to display like the status in menu of the game so I can see them from the cockpit and have some gauges like altitude/Altimeter/GPS/Radar/blueprint system display for engine fires and damage report and some alien/life

Youre game is alright but the dragging curser is irritating and sometimes i cant tell the depth of field when joining parts together for instance it looks like one part is above the other when i shift angles its not its to the side and also cant i just click on the part without that small thing with the 5 symbols on it

  46. James Cooke-avatar

So been waiting for this (or something like it). Proper 3D space SIM, love it so far

  54. James Teaney-avatar

Supports Note 10 Stylus, wish simple planes did too.

  55. Vinny Havens-avatar

A very good game, I really have a pretty flawless experience. My only problem, is that there's an issue with the coding. When you code a rocket, the code only applies to whichever craft the primary command chip is attached to. So if you're like me and you want to land a booster or rocket that isn't attached to the primary command chip/pod, you can't do it with the coding, you have to manually land the booster

  56. Robert Chapman-avatar

Well, before this update you gve out, i had to play this on my phone, but since you did update this app, 6 stars!

Now THIS is what I love! I love physics, rocket science, and orbital mechanics. For years I have been searching for a game on mobile that captures all of that and more. Well this, my friends...this is it. Ever wanted Kerbal Space Program, often referred to as 'Minecraft in space', on mobile? Well this is the game you're looking for! With realistic orbital mechanics, physics, and rocket science, this game will not disappoint anyone. This truly is a stellar game. Houston, we are a go for launch!

  63. Kevon Daye-avatar

Very good game, equal to KSP in every way but one: controls. At least on Android. I'm sure the controls will get some polish in future updates. In fact, I have a suggestion for such an update. One thing that would make rendezvous and docking easier would be a velocity vector indicator. I still can't dock properly because I have no way of knowing which way my target is approaching me (or vice versa) from, beyond a general direction. Just a hud icon or pointer would suffice.

  64. Theo Tolle-avatar

Love this game, fascinating science while killing time.

  65. Jayden Hill-avatar

I really like this. The gameplay is nice, the controls are easy in my opinion. I just have one complaint. Could you just add scientific equipment? Or mabye an advanced version of the game with it? If you did either that would be 5-star worthy. Thank you and I hope you consider it.

  66. Kyle Fredericks-avatar

    Kyle Fredericks

Absolutely incredibly made game. 11/10 I'm blown away at how they got KSP to work pretty much identically on mobile. Makes me wonder why ksp runs like junk! Look beautiful, physics are 10/10, the editor is difficult to use but is just as powerful. There are even parts of the ui that are easier than KSP. This game is worth so much more than the cost on the app store

  67. Test Channel-avatar

Best Game on Google Play by far... If you're a Kerbalite like me and can't get enough, then SR2 is for you. I play KSP on a fairly low rig, have done for years. This software now brings that experience for me to the tablet. I have a Sammy pronote 12.2 so it runs very well on that - the extra screensize adding to the experience. It isn't KSP persay, but it has all the basic feel of Kerbal and alot more, though different. Not enough space to write a full review so 5stars easy - updates awesome.

  68. Mad Scientist-avatar

Awesome simulation and amazing physics. Phone heats up pretty quickly if you play on high graphics but still worth it. The controls might take a while to get used to, but that is probably because it's a little bit different. Good job Jundroo! This is just what i was looking for!

  69. Arthur Devine-avatar

This game, like all of those under this brand, is a wonderful simulation. However this game, like simple planes, just wasn't meant to be played on a phone. This game is equal to Kerbal Space Program on a computer and both are among my favorite games. Worth every penny and more.

  70. Bruh Bruh-avatar

This game is a worthy successor to Simple Rockets. It combines the wonder of spaceflight with the extreme customizability of Simple Planes. The fact that a simulator of this caliber is available for mobile is incredible. This game is well worth your money and your time.

  71. Jennifer H-avatar

It is a truly amazing app and I was very tempted to give it five stars. However, the lack of decent documentation is a serious problem that frustrates me. It also surprises me because SR1 had excellent tutorials and that was something that I particularly liked about it. Also, there are some serious issues with the UI.

  72. Richard Duncan-avatar

Having a hard time really enjoying it. Sure, learning curve. Orbited the moon, landed on Earth with a premade rocket, fun. Find a non-programmer type. Set them down with the game and this goal: launch a rocket with 4 or more Apex engines. I would like caveman grid snap, EZ color coded staging, and zero failure part connections as phone user options. Kind of like SR but 3D, which is what I thought this was? Tl;Dr Splody big rocket fun, see. Make go bang and boom! Rocket not simple to make now:'0

Horrible controls in mobile... update on this devs. Its far too complicated and its complex at the start if you dont know the basics... The Performance Tab is awesome... i did some math with it as well... And fix buggs... i attached a part and it wasnt attatch no more... landing legs keeps on opening even tho ur not activating it... fix this... and you get 5 stars

Surprisingly playable even on mobile. Building is a bit slower than on PC, but crashing the resulting monstrosity is just as fun. Love it.

  76. LKNANML-avatar

Updates just make mobile worse or add nothing. The new programing update was the last thing I wanted to see on mobile. We need better controls. Or needed. I'm done. PC is where you should play. Avoid the mobile version for now. I have all their games and they patched them to completion. I think this one went out too early. The port from PC to mobile didn't go so well. SERIOUSLY FLAWED MOBILE TOUCH CONTROLS.. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME WITHOUT A KEYBOARD. It's a frustrating mess on the mobile side and I just barely recommend it for tablets but it's a flat out AVOID playing this on phones. Touchscreen controls on tablets are horrible especially in the map The view and plot controls will fight you all the time. Forget tiny movements. Fine movements are simply not possible as you will rocket past where you wanted or the camera just wont let you see what's going on near planets and the orbit controls can block each other so once again you have to move and start over, and over, and over. Docking controls are the worst I have ever seen in a space game. Seeing distance from surface is equally difficult with micro dot like text. Camera does whatever it wants and can make whole planets vanish on the map screen. Lots of waiting in loading screens over and over while trying to fix a stage that breaks when your loaded onto the pad. Far as I know there is no pre test for this stupid feature. Building rockets is also a bit of a mess when duplicating large craft. Pull a big section off and it will auto lock and auto mirror that section crossing nodes. Couple hundred part section can lock up the game for a long while as it builds 1000 parts. Catching a few nodes over and over is frustrating. Build a staged craft and adding to another staged craft combines all the same number stages so you have to pull those out and fix it. Forgot playing on your phone. Rest of the game is awesome but that map portion was clearly meant for a computer and ported to mobile. Even the instructions have keys for the functions. Still having fun with everything else. I'd say get the PC version but it just doesn't have the legs to keep up with KSP there. SR2 can't decide if it wants to be a PC or mobile game and the mobile versions is suffering because of that. LOVED SR and SP. SR2 is good. Too good. At lest for phones. Just not enough screen and tablets are not much better. The map. It will fight you at every turn deciding which view it likes best. Place a nav point. View switch. Del nav point. View switch. Move the view around your rocket or planet and hit a invisible wall. Go out and come back. View switch. Touch controls seem like an afterthought. Plotting a intersection point is a game of stop at just the right time as it decides to move in micro increments then takes off and you play the back and forth game just trying to get your intersection right. Control settings are mainly for keyboards so no help there. It's a PC game ported to mobile now. Downloading crafts has a huge following and good ideas. Just about all the good ones are Windows only or not mobile friendly. SR2 is AWESOME but aimed at the PC with KSP in it's cross hairs but it has a LONG way to go to replace KSP which is what I play on my PC. Good game but I want my SR mobile experience back. SR2 is too good for mobile and not good enough for the PC competition. I hope they decide which way they want to go with SR 3. Mobile or PC because right now it's stuck in between.1 STAR for this mobile mess. 2 stars because I loved SR1 and SRP. SR2 looks amazing but needs a lot of work on mobile. It's simply not suited for mobile. WAY better on PC.

Very very good game.. Not simple, but I was not looking for a simple game.. Mars has a Bug!! Been trying to get to mars for a while, the burn calculator in the map does not work for mars.. I manually got very close to mars and there was no gravitational pull from mars! Damn well took me 8 hours to get manually close to mars.. I might as well have bust out my real space mechanics calculations and calculate the orbital delta V and location of burn.. Please fix the burn calc ans mars' SOI. Thanks

It seems like a great game, and I'm impressed it runs as well as it does on mobile, but the controls are way too clunky. If you're looking for a kerbal-esque game for mobile i'd recommend sticking with the first one.

Highly recommended. A full, proper 3D space simulator on mobile! If you've ever suspected that KSP could be made more efficient with a re-write, this game is the proof. As I understand it, the developer worked in the past as a professional simulator programmer, and it shows in terms of game efficiency and adaptability. This mobile version is the exact same as the desktop version and yields incredible performance and visual quality, even on mobile devices. You may find some imperfections in the first period after it is released, but the game is regularly updated so bugs aren't there for long.

Been waiting for this game for a year and have been waiting for the mobile release and now it's here, I'm amazed. I was worried that the mobile version would be limited to standard, cliche rockets (due to limitations on mobile devices). However it's been designed so well you can build massive crafts. If the game gets too slow the graphic settings are fully customizable, which is an amazing feature. I have so much more to say but I have limited words. Lastly the tinker panel works wonderfully Thx

I love it, and it has so much potential, but as of now it's far from perfect and is not playable for people with less powerful devices, all in all, with the near infinite lengths at which you can customize parts and build, this game will be amazing once it's properly optimized and is refined a little here and there, the physics are incredibly good, some of the graphical effects like heat blur are un heard of on mobile, and once bugs and optimization are sorted out, it's going to be incredible.

I love this game, but it's really hard to learn. I recommend making this game simpler. There are way too many factors and mechanics when building a rocket this should be a fun game in my opinion not actual rocket science.

I love this game. I've spent countless hours in it just building and I can honestly say the limits are almost endless as to what you can build. Great graphics and a very welcoming community. And oh yes, plenty of rocketry fun! Go to Luna (moon) or Cylero (Mars) and see if you can put your own rover there, with your own rocket. The feeling when you first do this in this game is amazing! Much potential for many updates in the future, the devs are constantly adding new features and parts. 5/5!

This whole concept is a pretty impressive achievement, even more so given that it's running on a mobile device. It's not quite as "simple" as SimpleRockets was, but the additional realism is a positive for me nonetheless. The UI is a little complicated and cluttered feeling at times, but given the scope of the rocket-building abilities in this game, it's been implemented well enough. I hope this game finds success on the mobile market. It deserves it.

Amazing game, Amazing graphics, and physics engine. This game is an Great game to spend your time. I thought it wouldnt be that good because how good it worked on pc, but no it runs amazing.

This is a thing of beauty. Well worth the wait. Solid physics engine. Has the usual excellent tutorials. Go simple with premade or community designs, or get as complex as you want. Amazingly well polished for an initial release. I could nitpick, but every tiny flaw I've seen is already on their list. Jundroo makes great simulators, and this is their crown jewel. If you are an aerospace enthusiast you will love SimpleRockets 2.

Fantastic. Very intuitive and flexible. Not alot of parts, but each is very customisable. I love how you can change engine cycle and liquid fuel type. It's a similar but unique experience to ksp. They both do the sandbox space flight thing in their own way. Only downside is it's a bit heavy on battery use. Thanks jundroo for a gem.

Worth so much more than what you pay for. This game is insanely good. I just started playing again because I've been busy with college but both the plane and rocket side of the game are phenomenal. I come from PC playing Kerbal Space Program and this easily matches that, on mobile!! It runs insanely smoothly for me and I haven't had any frame rate or physics problems. If you're at all interested in aerospace, orbital mechanics, or any kind of flying sandbox then this is perfect.

Awesome game! meets my expectations and satisfied the hype😁 I give it 5 star. the only thing I can suggest as of now is, it would be nice if theres a second option in staging. I wish theres an option that instead of staging, we can just activate the parts by clicking them, like how they do it in space flight simulator. but other than that, I love this game!!!!

Overall a wonderful game, KSP for mobile, the graphics are pretty good, the amount of customization you have is virtually endless. Only a few engines and parts but you can tweak and change whatever property you desire effectively making it a new part. It's a fun and challenging game. The controls are good, and I can tell this game was made with passion. If you are a fan of rockets this is THE game for mobile if your device can handle it.

  95. KlöntZ-avatar

This is THE best space simulator on mobile. That is not a doubt in anyone who knows this games mind. If you are looking for a good space game with the ability to make almost anything like rockets, thrusters, cars (basic ones), rovers, and planes then just buy it already. There is no reason not to (unless you dont have the money).

Balancing healthy frustration and playful inquisitivity is a hard feat to achieve. I feel this is just right and surpasses even SP in this aspect. The learning curve is steep, but in every step there is fun to be had. Failed to rendezvous with a space station? No problem, just crash into the ocean. I consider the UI and hangar(?) pretty good, even more so because this is a mobile game. All-in-all a solid game. There would also probably be major updates for this game in the future. Buckle up!

Great concept; Tricky controls! What I enjoyed: I completely enjoy the very thought of traveling across vast distances at incredible velocities with the ability to do practically anything at each point! This game offers this with a entire solar sysem & satellite bodies to view in 3 dimensions with realistic physics. What needs work: Unfortunately I have found it's controls to be somewhat of an issue. Jundroo seemed to get controls right with SimplePlanes so I know they know how to do that right

This is an excellent game. I've always wanted a version of KSP for mobile, and this is just that, though without the kerbals. It's also a lot more advanced than KSP in terms of freedom when building rockets. The orbital map is a bit of an eyesore and the game feels dead without any pilot characters, but I'm hoping those areas of the game improve.

Let me start with this: I have well over 300 hours in Kerbal Space Program. I bought this because I had SimplePlanes and was curious as to whether this game is a rip off or not. No. It's not a rip off. In fact, this game puts KSP to shame. This is half the price, you can easily customize parts and maximize effeciency of your rockets, and the reason this has jaded me to KSP is just that alone - KSP gives you the parts that don't exactly match your needs, and they come in 3 sizes only.

Went in with high expectations my expectations were not high enough though as this game a solid 11/10. although there are a few bugs, these are to be expected for a new release on mobile, especially with a game of this scale and complexity. Jundroo has definitely surprised me with there ability to Port such a complex game from PC over to Mobile, keep up the good work
